A one-parameter symplectic group $\{e^{t\dA}\}_{t\in\RR}$ derives proper canonical transformations on a Boson Fock space. It has been known that the unitary operator $U_t$ implementing such a proper canonical transformation gives a projective unitary representation of $\{e^{t\dA}\}_{t\in\RR}$ and that $U_t$ can be expressed as a normal-ordered form. We rigorously derive the self-adjoint operator $\D(\dA)$ and a phase factor $e^{i\int_0^t\TA(s)ds}$ with a real-valued function $\TA$ such that $U_t=e^{i\int_0^t\TA(s)ds}e^{it\D(\dA)}$. Key words: Canonical transformations(Bogoliubov transformations), symplectic groups, projective unitary representations, one-parameter unitary groups, infinitesimal self-adjoint generators, local factors, local exponents, normal-ordered quadratic expressions.
Generally-unbounded infinitesimal generators are studied in the context of operator topology. Beginning with the definition of seminorm, the concept of locally convex topological vector space is introduced as well as the concept of Fr{é}chet space. These are the basic concepts for defining an operator topology. Consequently, by associating the topological concepts with the convergence of sequence, a suitable mathematical framework for obtaining the logarithmic representation of infinitesimal generators is presented.
Adinkras are graphs that can describe off-shell supermultiplets in 1 dimension with a Lie superalgebra known as Garden algebra. In this paper, I show that the degrees of freedom of the adinkra can be represented by a subgraph called a baobab. Because the structure of adinkras and baobabs are very general, I will show that all finite-dimensional Lie superalgebras can be similarly described by more general Lie adinkras and Lie baobabs. Furthermore, it will be shown that adinkras can represent forward error correction block codes, and bit erasures in Garden algebra adinkras can be corrected using…
The concept of logarithmic representation of infinitesimal generators is introduced, and it is applied to clarify the algebraic structure of bounded and unbounded infinitesimal generators. In particular, by means of the logarithmic representation, the bounded components can be extracted from generally-unbounded infinitesimal generators. In conclusion the concept of module over a Banach algebra is proposed as the generalization of Banach algebra. As an application to mathematical physics, the rigorous formulation of rotation group, which consists of unbounded operators being written by differen…
The logarithmic representation of infinitesimal generators is generalized to the cases when the evolution operator is unbounded. The generalized result is applicable to the representation of infinitesimal generators of unbounded evolution operators, where unboundedness of evolution operator is an essential ingredient of nonlinear analysis. In conclusion a general framework for the identification between the infinitesimal generators with evolution operators is established. A mathematical framework for such an identification is indispensable to the rigorous treatment of nonlinear transforms: e.g…
We generalize the Cramer's rule of linear algebra. We apply it to calculate the spectra of nucleus by applying Hill-Wheeler projection operator to Hartree-Fock wave function, and to derive Löwdin formula and Thouless theorem. We derive by an elementary method the infinitesimal or Löwdin projection operators and its integral representation to be useful for the projection of Slater determinant.
The theory of formal power series and derivation is developed from the point of view of the power matrix. A Loewner equation for formal power series is introduced. We then show that the matrix exponential is surjective onto the group of power matrices, and the coefficients are entire functions of finitely many coefficients of the infinitesimal generator. Furthermore coefficients of the solution to the Loewner equation with constant infinitesimal generator can be obtained by exponentiating an infinitesimal power matrix. We also use the formal Loewner equations to investigate the relation betwee…
As an alternative to Chevalley generators, we introduce Jacobson generators for the quantum superalgebra $U_q[sl(n+1|m)]$. The expressions of all Cartan-Weyl elements of $U_q[sl(n+1|m)]$ in terms of these Jacobson generators become very simple. We determine and prove certain triple relations between the Jacobson generators, necessary for a complete set of supercommutation relations between the Cartan-Weyl elements. Fock representations are defined, and a substantial part of this paper is devoted to the computation of the action of Jacobson generators on basis vectors of these Fock spaces. It i…
We prove that lattice quantum systems may undergo a first-order quantum phase transition through a general mechanism which consists in an infinite dilution of the states associated to (or, more in general, near to) the lowest energy levels. The equation giving the critical point is derived and discussed at several degrees of generalizations: given an infinitesimal portion of the Fock space, i.e., the cavity space, and its complement, i.e., the reservoir space, in the thermodynamic limit, a first-order quantum phase transition takes place when the cavity and reservoir energies are equal. A comp…
The purpose of this paper is to shed more light on the transition from the known massless modular action to the wanted massive one in the case of forward light cones and double cones. The infinitesimal generator of the massive modular automorphism group is investigated, in particular, some assumptions on its structure are verified explicitly for two concrete examples.
The work within the Geometrothermodynamics programme rests upon the metric structure for the thermodynamic phase-space. Such structure exhibits discrete Legendre symmetry. In this work, we study the class of metrics which are invariant along the infinitesimal generators of Legendre transformations. We solve the Legendre-Killing equation for a $K$-contact general metric. We consider the case with two thermodynamic degrees of freedom, i.e. when the dimension of the thermodynamic phase-space is five. For the generic form of contact metrics, the solution of the Legendre-Killing system is unique, w…
The dynamics of Vlasov kinetic moments is shown to be Lie-Poisson on the dual Lie algebra of symmetric contravariant tensor fields. The corresponding Lie bracket is identified with the symmetric Schouten bracket and the moment Lie algebra is related with a bundle of bosonic Fock spaces, where creation and annihilation operators are used to construct the cold plasma closure. Kinetic moments are also shown to define a momentum map, which is infinitesimally equivariant. This momentum map is the dual of a Lie algebra homomorphism, defined through the Schouten bracket. Finally the moment Lie-Poisso…
The properties of A-statistics, related to the class of simple Lie algebras sl(n+1) (Palev, T.D.: Preprint JINR E17-10550 (1977); hep-th/9705032), are further investigated. The description of each sl(n+1) is carried out via generators and their relations, first introduced by Jacobson. The related Fock spaces W_p (p=1,2,...) are finite-dimensional irreducible sl(n+1)-modules. The Pauli principle of the underlying statistics is formulated. In addition the paper contains the following new results: (a) The A-statistics are interpreted as exclusion statistics; (b) Within each W_p operators B(p)_1^\…
The phase space of relativistic particle mechanics is defined as the 1st jet space of motions regarded as timelike 1-dimensional submanifolds of spacetime. A Lorentzian metric and an electromagnetic 2-form define naturally on the odd-dimensional phase space a generalized contact structure. In the paper infinitesimal symmetries of the phase structures are characterized. More precisely, it is proved that all phase infinitesimal symmetries are special Hamiltonian lifts of distinguished conserved quantities on the phase space. It is proved that generators of infinitesimal symmetries constitute a L…
We present a construction of a new integrable model as an infinite limit of Calogero models of N particles with spin. It is implemented in the multicomponent Fock space. Explicit formulas for Dunkl operators, the Yangian generators in the multicomponent Fock space are presented. The classical limit of the system is examined.
We study the semigroup of Bogoliubov endomorphisms of the canonical commutation relations which give rise to representations of the Cuntz algebra $O_\infty$ on Fock space and describe the corresponding Cuntz algebra generators in detail.
When a gauge-natural invariant variational principle is assigned, to determine {\em canonical} covariant conservation laws, the vertical part of gauge-natural lifts of infinitesimal principal automorphisms -- defining infinitesimal variations of sections of gauge-natural bundles -- must satisfy generalized Jacobi equations for the gauge-natural invariant Lagrangian. {\em Vice versa} all vertical parts of gauge-natural lifts of infinitesimal principal automorphisms which are in the kernel of generalized Jacobi morphisms are generators of canonical covariant currents and superpotentials. In part…
An orthogonal basis of weight vectors for a class of infinite-dimensional representations of the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra osp(2m+1|2n) is introduced. These representations are particular lowest weight representations V(p), with a lowest weight of the form [-p/2,...,-p/2|p/2,...,p/2], p being a positive integer. Explicit expressions for the transformation of the basis under the action of algebra generators are found. Since the relations of algebra generators correspond to the defining relations of m pairs of parafermion operators and n pairs of paraboson operators with relative paraferm…
We review the algebraic and analytic aspects of the conformal field theory (CFT) and its relation to the stochastic Loewner evolution (SLE) in an example of the Ising model. We obtain the scaling limit of the correlation functions of Ising free fermions on an arbitrary simply connected two-dimensional domain $D$. Then, we study the analytic and algebraic aspects of the fermionic CFT on $D$, using the Fock space formalism of fields, and the Clifford vertex operator algebra (VOA). These constructions lead to the conformal field theory of the Fock space fields and the fermionic Fock space of stat…
A description of the quantum superalgebra U_q[sl(n+1|m)] via creation and annihilation generators (CAGs) is given. A statement that the Fock representations of the CAGs provide microscopic realizations of exclusion statistics is formulated.
The infinitesimal transformations that leave invariant a two-covariant symmetric tensor are studied. The interest of these symmetry transformations lays in the fact that this class of tensors includes the energy-momentum and Ricci tensors. We find that in most cases the class of infinitesimal generators of these transformations is a finite dimensional Lie algebra but also, in some cases exhibiting a higher degree of degeneracy, this class is infinite dimensional and may fail to be a Lie algebra.
A generalized definition of quantum stochastic (QS) integrals and differentials is given in the free of adaptiveness and basis form in terms of Malliavin derivative on a projective Fock scale, and their uniform continuity and QS differentiability with respect to the inductive limit convergence is proved. A new form of QS calculus based on an inductive *-algebraic structure in an indefinite space is developed and a nonadaptive generalization of the QS Ito formula for its representation in Fock space is derived. The problem of solution of general QS evolution equations in a Hilbert space is solv…
We consider the quantum mechanical problem of the motion of a spinless charged relativistic particle with mass$M$, described by the Klein-Fock-Gordon equation with equal scalar $S(\vec{r})$ and vector $V(\vec{r})$ Coulomb plus ring-shaped potentials. It is shown that the system under consideration has both a discrete at $\left|E\right|<Mc^{2} $ and a continuous at $\left|E\right|>Mc^{2} $ energy spectra. We find the analytical expressions for the corresponding complete wave functions. A dynamical symmetry group $SU(1,1)$ for the radial wave equation of motion is constructed. The algebra of gen…
Using the tool of quantum characteristic functions of n-mode states in the boson Fock space Γ(C_n) we construct a semigroup of quantum information channels. This leads to a special class of one-parameter semigroups of such channels. These semigroups are concrete but their generators have unbounded operator coefficients. These one-parameter semigroups are also quantum dynamical semigroups and the form of the generators involve additional features which do not appear in the standard GKSL form. A heuristic discussion of the form of these generators is included. In the wake of this analysis many o…
It is known that the defining triple relations of m pairs of parafermion operators and n pairs of paraboson operators with relative parafermion relations can be considered as defining relations for the Lie superalgebra osp(2m+1|2n) in terms of 2(m+n) generators. With the common Hermiticity conditions, this means that the parastatistics Fock space of order p corresponds to an infinite-dimensional unitary irreducible representation V(p) of osp(2m+1|2n), with lowest weight (-p/2,...,- p/|p/2,...,p/2). These representations (also in the simplest case m=n=1) had never been constructed due to comput…
We show that the infinitesimal generator of the symmetric simple exclusion process, recast as a quantum spin-1/2 ferromagnetic Heisenberg model, can be solved by elementary techniques on the complete, complete bipartite, and related multipartite graphs. Some of the resulting infinitesimal generators are formally identical to homogeneous as well as mixed higher spins models. The degeneracies of the eigenspectra are described in detail, and the Clebsch-Gordan machinery needed to deal with arbitrary spin-s representations of the SU(2) is briefly developed. We mention in passing how our results fi…
We construct the Heisenberg counterpart of a Clifford categorification. It is a modification of Khovanov's Heisenberg categorification. We express generators of the Heisenberg category as a complex of generators of the Clifford category. Certain vertex operators associated to the Clifford algebra are lifted to endofunctors of the Fock space categorification.
Previously, we have shown that the CAR algebra for fermions is embedded in the Cuntz algebra ${\cal O}_{2}$ in such a way that the generators are expressed in terms of polynomials in the canonical generators of the latter, and it coincides with the U(1)-fixed point subalgebra ${\cal A}\equiv {\cal O}_{2}^{U(1)}$ of ${\cal O}_{2}$ for the canonical gauge action. Based on this embedding formula, some properties of ${\cal A}$ are studied in detail by restricting those of ${\cal O}_{2}$. Various endomorphisms of ${\cal O}_{2}$, which are defined by polynomials in the canonical generators, are expl…
The ageing algebra is a local dynamical symmetry of many ageing systems, far from equilibrium, and with a dynamical exponent z=2. Here, new representations for an integer dynamical exponent z=n are constructed, which act non-locally on the physical scaling operators. The new mathematical mechanism which makes the infinitesimal generators of the ageing algebra dynamical symmetries, is explicitly discussed for a n-dependent family of linear equations of motion for the order-parameter. Finite transformations are derived through the exponentiation of the infinitesimal generators and it is proposed…
The defining relations (triple relations) of n pairs of parafermion operators f_j^\pm (j=1,...,n) are known to coincide with a set of defining relations for the Lie algebra so(2n+1) in terms of 2n generators. With the common Hermiticity conditions, this means that the ``parafermions of order p'' correspond to a finite-dimensional unitary irreducible representation W(p) of so(2n+1), with highest weight (p/2, p/2,..., p/2). Although the dimension and character of W(p) is known by classical formulas, there is no explicit basis of W(p) available in which the parafermion operators have a natural ac…
Infinitesimal holomorphic realizations for the Schrödinger-Weil representation and the discrete series representations of the Jacobi group are constructed. Explicit expressions of the basic differential operators are obtained. The squeezed states for the unitary irreducible representation of the Jacobi group are introduced. Matrix elements of the squeezed operators, expectation values of polynomial operators in infinitesimal generators of the Jacobi group, the squeezing region and a description of Mandel's parameter are presented.
The goal of this paper is to give an explicit construction of the Fock spaces of the parafermion and the paraboson algebra, for an infinite set of generators. This is equivalent to constructing certain unitary irreducible lowest weight representations of the (infinite rank) Lie algebra so(\infty) and of the Lie superalgebra osp(1|\infty). A complete solution to the problem is presented, in which the Fock spaces have basis vectors labelled by certain infinite but stable Gelfand-Zetlin patterns, and the transformation of the basis is given explicitly. We also present expressions for the characte…
