The goal of this paper is to show a (derived) $p$-adic Simpson correspondence for (locally) unipotent coefficients on smooth rigid-analytic varieties. Our results depend on a deformation to $\mathbf{B}_\mathtt{dr}^+/ξ^2$, and not on a choice of exponential (as required for more general coefficients). Our methods are inherently higher categorical, hinging on the theory of modules over $\mathbf{E}_\infty$-algebras.
Given a proper smooth $p$-adic variety, we show a comparison theorem for the $p$-adic Simpson correspondence constructed by Faltings and Riemann-Hilbert correspondence constructed by Scholze. As an application we formulate a sufficient condition for $\overline{\mathbb Q}_p$-local system being de Rham. We study a $p$-adic analogue of Simpson's $\mathbb C^*$-action on the set of isomorphism classes of Higgs bundles and the corresponding Galois action on the set of isomorphism classes of generalized representations of the étale fundamental group.
The p-adic Simpson correspondence due to Faltings is a p-adic analogue of non-abelian Hodge theory. The following is the main result of this article: The correspondence for line bundles can be enhanced to a rigid analytic morphism of moduli spaces under certain smallness conditions. In the complex setting, Simpson shows that there is a complex analytic morphism from the moduli space for the vector bundles with integrable connection to the moduli space of representations of a finitely generated group as algebraic varieties. We give a p-adic analogue of Simpson's result.
For an abeloid variety $A$ over a complete algebraically closed field extension $K$ of $\mathbb Q_p$, we construct a $p$-adic Corlette-Simpson correspondence, namely an equivalence between finite-dimensional continuous $K$-linear representations of the Tate module and a certain subcategory of the Higgs bundles on $A$. To do so, our central object of study is the category of vector bundles for the $v$-topology on the diamond associated to $A$. We prove that any pro-finite-étale $v$-vector bundle can be built from pro-finite-étale $v$-line bundles and unipotent $v$-bundles. To describe the latte…
Faltings initiated in 2005 a p-adic analogue of the (complex) Simpson correspondence whose construction has been taken up by various authors, according to several approaches. Following the one we initiated previously, we present an overview of a new monograph developing new features of the p-adic Simpson correspondence, inspired by our construction of the relative Hodge-Tate spectral sequence. First, we address the connection to Hodge-Tate local systems. Second, we establish the functoriality of the p-adic Simpson correspondence by proper direct image. Along the way, we expand the scope of our…
For any smooth proper rigid space $X$ over a complete algebraically closed extension $K$ of $\mathbb Q_p$ we give a geometrisation of the $p$-adic Simpson correspondence of rank one in terms of analytic moduli spaces: The $p$-adic character variety is canonically an étale twist of the moduli space of topological torsion Higgs line bundles over the Hitchin base. This also eliminates the choice of an exponential. The key idea is to relate both sides to moduli spaces of $v$-line bundles: We develop a theory of topological torsion subsheaves of $v$-sheaves and apply this to the diamantine $v$-Pica…
Deninger and Werner developed an analogue for p-adic curves of the classical correspondence of Narasimhan and Seshadri between stable bundles of degree zero and unitary representations of the topological fundamental group for a complex smooth proper curve. Using parallel transport, they associated functorially to every vector bundle on a p-adic curve whose reduction is strongly semi-stable of degree 0 a p-adic representation of the fundamental group of the curve. They asked several questions: whether their functor is fully faithful; whether the cohomology of the local systems produced by this …
We discuss $p$-adic unipotent Albanese maps for curves of positive genus, extending the theory of $p$-adic multiple polylogarithms. This construction is then used to relate linear Diophantine conjectures of `Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer type' to non-linear theorems of Faltings-Siegel type.
We begin this paper by reviewing the Langlands correspondence for unipotent representations of the exceptional group of type $G_2$ over a $p$-adic field $F$ and present it in an explicit form. Then we compute all ABV-packets, as defined in [CFM+21] following ideas from Vogan's 1993 paper The local Langlands Conjecture, and prove that these packets satisfy properties derived from the expectation that they are generalized A-packets. We attach distributions to ABV-packets for $G_2$ and its endoscopic groups and study a geometric endoscopic transfer of these distributions. This paper builds on ear…
We develop a new approach for the p-adic Simpson correspondence, closely related to the original approach of Faltings, but also inspired by the work of Ogus and Vologodsky on an analogue in characteristic p>0. This first article is devoted to the local aspects of the theory.

We develop a new approach for the p-adic Simpson correspondence, closely related to the original approach of Faltings, but also inspired by the work of Ogus and Vologodsky on an analogue in characteristic p>0. The aim of this article is to give an extensive overview of the theory that has been developped in two articles, the first one (arXiv:1102.5466) devoted to the local aspects and the second one (arXiv:1301.0904) to the global aspects.
We study the unipotent completion $Π^{DR}_{un}(x_0, x_1, X_K)$ of the de Rham fundamental groupoid [De] of a smooth algebraic variety over a local non-archimedean field K of characteristic 0. We show that the vector space $Π^{DR}_{un}(x_0, x_1, X_K)$ possesses a distinguished element. In the other words, given a vector bundle E on $X_K$ together with a unipotent integrable connection, we have {\sf a canonical} isomorphism $E_{x_0}\simeq E_{x_1}$ between the fibers. The latter construction is a generalization of Colmez's p-adic integration (rk E=2) and Coleman's p-adic iterated integrals ($X_K$…
Inspired by Besser's work on Coleman integration, we use $\nabla$-modules to define iterated line integrals over Laurent series fields of characteristic $p$ taking values in double cosets of unipotent $n\times n$ matrices with coefficients in the Robba ring divided out by unipotent $n\times n$ matrices with coefficients in the bounded Robba ring on the left and by unipotent $n\times n$ matrices with coefficients in the constant field on the right. We reach our definition by looking at the analogous theory for Laurent series fields of characteristic $0$ first, and reinterpreting the classical f…
We construct a functor from the category of p-adic etale local systems on a smooth rigid analytic variety X over a p-adic field to the category of vector bundles with an integrable connection over its "base change to B_dR", which can be regarded as a first step towards the sought-after p-adic Riemann-Hilbert correspondence. As a consequence, we obtain the following rigidity theorem for p-adic local systems on a connected rigid analytic variety: if the stalk of such a local system at one point, regarded as a p-adic Galois representation, is de Rham in the sense of Fontaine, then the stalk at ev…
For a proper semistable curve $X$ over a DVR of mixed characteristics we reprove the "invariant cycles theorem" with trivial coefficients (see Chiarellotto, 1999) i.e. that the group of elements annihilated by the monodromy operator on the first de Rham cohomology group of the generic fiber of $X$ coincides with the first rigid cohomology group of its special fiber, without the hypothesis that the residue field of $\cal V$ is finite. This is done using the explicit description of the monodromy operator on the de Rham cohomology of the generic fiber of $X$ with coefficients convergent $F$-isocr…
We use Scholze's framework of diamonds to gain new insights in correspondences between $p$-adic vector bundles and local systems. Such correspondences arise in the context of $p$-adic Simpson theory in the case of vanishing Higgs fields. In the present paper we provide a detailed analysis of local systems on diamonds for the étale, pro-étale, and the $v$-topology, and study the structure sheaves for all three topologies in question. Applied to proper adic spaces of finite type over $\mathbb{C}_p$ this enables us to prove a category equivalence between $\mathbb{C}_p$-local systems with integral…
For a smooth, projective, complex algebraic variety $X$, the Riemann--Hilbert correspondence establishes a complex analytic isomorphism between the `Betti moduli space' of rank $n$ local systems on $X^\mathrm{an}$ and the `de Rham moduli space' of rank $n$ vector bundles with flat connection on $X$. In the rank one case, C. Simpson precisely characterizes the subvarieties of these moduli spaces that are `bi-algebraic' for this typically transcendental, analytic isomorphism. In this short note, we give a new proof of this characterization of Simpson, using methods from o-minimal geometry. We ad…
In this paper, we associate to every $p$-adic representation $V$ a $p$-adic differential equation $\mathbf{D}^{\dagger}_{\mathrm{rig}}(V)$, that is to say a module with a connection over the Robba ring. We do this via the theory of Fontaine's $(ϕ,Γ_K)$-modules. This construction enables us to relate the theory of $(ϕ,Γ_K)$-modules to $p$-adic Hodge theory. We explain how to construct $mathbf{D}_{mathrm{cris}}(V)$ and $\mathbf{D}_{\mathrm{st}}(V)$ from $\mathbf{D}^{\dagger}_{\mathrm{rig}}(V)$, which allows us to recognize semi-stable or crystalline representations; the connection is then either…
