This study aims to generalize the notion of compatible Lie algebras to the compatible Lie Yamaguti algebras. Along with describing the representation of the compatible Lie Yamaguti algebra in detail, we also introduce the Maurer-Cartan characterization and cohomology of Lie Yamaguti algebras. As a result of the obtained cohomology, we studied its deformation. We define Rota-Baxter operators on compatible Lie Yamaguti algebras as well as on compatible pre-Lie Yamaguti algebras. Using Rota-Baxter operators, we examine how compatible Lie (and compatible pre-Lie) Yamaguti algebras are related.
A twisted generalization of Lie-Yamaguti algebras, called Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebras, is defined. Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebras generalize Hom-Lie triple systems (and susequently ternary Hom-Nambu algebras) and Hom-Lie algebras in the same way as Lie-Yamaguti algebras generalize Lie triple systems and Lie algebras. It is shown that the category of Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebras is closed under twisting by self-morphisms. Constructions of Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebras from classical Lie-Yamaguti algebras and Malcev algebras are given. It is observed that, when the ternary operation of a Hom-Lie-Yamaguti alge…
In this paper, first we introduce the notion of a quadratic Lie-Yamaguti algebra and show that the invariant bilinear form in a quadratic Lie-Yamaguti algebra induces an isomorphism between the adjoint representation and the coadjoint representation. Then we introduce the notions of relative Rota-Baxter operators on Lie-Yamaguti algebras and pre-Lie-Yamaguti algebras. We prove that a pre-Lie-Yamaguti algebra gives rise to a Lie-Yamaguti algebra naturally and a relative Rota-Baxter operator induces a pre-Lie-Yamaguti algebra. Finally we study symplectic structures on Lie-Yamaguti algebra, which…
For a pre-Lie-Yamaguti algebra $A$, by using its sub-adjacent Lie-Yamaguti algebra $A^c$, we are able to construct a semidirect product Lie-Yamaguti algebra via a representation of $A^c$. The investigation of such semidirect Lie-Yamaguti algebras leads us to the notions of para-Kähler structures and pseudo-Kähler structures on Lie-Yamaguti algebras, and also gives the definition of complex product structures on Lie-Yamaguti algebras which was first introduced in [25]. Furthermore, a Levi-Civita product with respect to a pseudo-Riemannian \Lie-Yamaguti algebra is introduced and we explore its r…
The representation and cohomology theory of Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebras is introduced. As an application, we study deformation and extension of Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebras. It proved that a 1-parameter infinitesimal deformation of a Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebra $T$ corresponds to a Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebra of deformation type and a (2,3)-cocycle of $T$ with coefficients in the adjoint representation. We also prove that abelian extensions of Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebras are classified by the (2,3)-cohomology group.
The concept of derivation for Lie-Yamaguti algebras is generalized in this paper. A quasi-derivation of an LY-algebra is embedded as derivation in a larger LY-algebra. The relationship between quasi-derivations and robustness of Lie-Yamaguti algebras has been studied.
(Multiplicative) Hom-Lie-Yamaguti superalgebras which generalize Hom-Lie supertriple systems (and subsequently ternary multiplicative Hom-Nambu superalgebras) and Hom-Lie superalgebras in the same way as Lie-Yamaguti superalgebras [Frac] generalize Lie supertriple systems and Lie superalgebras are defined. We show that the category of (multiplicative) Hom-Lie-Yamaguti superalgebras is closed under twisting by self-morphisms. Construction of some examples of Hom-Lie-Yamaguti superalgebras is given. The notion of an $n^{th}-$derived (binary) Hom-superalgebras is extended to the one of an $n^{th}…
A Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebra, whose ternary operation expresses through its binary one in a specific way, is a multiplicative Hom-Malcev algebra. Any multiplicative Hom-Malcev algebra over a field of characteristic zero has a natural Hom-Lie-Yamaguti structure.
In this paper, we first discuss cohomology and a one-parameter formal deformation theory of Lie-Yamaguti algebras. Next, we study finite group actions on Lie-Yamaguti algebras and introduce equivariant cohomology for Lie-Yamaguti algebras equipped with group actions. Finally, we study an equivariant one-parameter formal deformation theory and show that our equivariant cohomology is the suitable deformation cohomology.
This paper studies one-parameter formal deformations of Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebras. The first, second and third cohomology groups on Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebras extending ones on Lie-Yamaguti algebras are provided. It is proved that first and second cohomology groups are suitable to the deformation theory involving infinitesimals, equivalent deformations and rigidity. However, the third cohomology group is not suitable for the obstructions.
Let $(L, α)$ be a Hom-Lie-Yamaguti superalgebra. We first introduce the representation and cohomology theory of Hom-Lie-Yamaguti superalgebras. Furthermore, we introduce the notions of generalized derivations and representations of $(L, α)$ and present some properties. Finally, we investigate the deformations of $(L, α)$ by choosing some suitable cohomology.
Lie-Yamaguti algebras (or generalized Lie triple systems) are binary-ternary algebras intimately related to reductive homogeneous spaces. The Lie-Yamaguti algebras which are irreducible as modules over their inner derivation algebras are the algebraic counterpart of the isotropy irreducible homogeneous spaces. These systems splits into three disjoint types: adjoint type, non-simple type and generic type. The systems of the first two types were classified in a previous paper through a generalized Tits Construction of Lie algebras. In this paper, the Lie-Yamaguti algebras of generic type are cla…

These systems will be shown to split into three disjoint types: adjoint type, non-simple type and generic type. The systems of the first two types will be classified and most of them will be shown to be related to a Generalized Tits Construction of Lie algebras.
In this paper, we introduce the notion of crossed homomorphisms between Lie-Yamaguti algebras and establish the cohomology theory of crossed homomorphisms via the Yamaguti cohomology. Consequently, we use this cohomology to characterize linear deformations of crossed homomorphisms between Lie-Yamaguti algebras. We show that if two linear or formal deformations of a crossed homomorphism are equivalent, then their infinitesimals are in the same cohomology class in the first cohomology group. Moreover, we show that an order $n$ deformation of a crossed homomorphism can be extended to an order $n+…
The simple 7-dimensional Malcev algebra $M$ is isomorphic to the irreducible $\mathfrak{sl}(2,\mathbb{C})$-module V(6) with binary product $[x,y] = α(x \wedge y)$ defined by the $\mathfrak{sl}(2,\mathbb{C})$-module morphism $α\colon Λ^2 V(6) \to V(6)$. Combining this with the ternary product $(x,y,z) = β(x \wedge y) \cdot z$ defined by the $\mathfrak{sl}(2,\mathbb{C})$-module morphism $β\colon Λ^2 V(6) \to V(2) \approx \s$ gives $M$ the structure of a generalized Lie triple system, or Lie-Yamaguti algebra. We use computer algebra to determine the polynomial identities of low degree satisfied b…
In this paper some characterizations of Hom-Leibniz superalgebras are given and some of their basic properties are found. These properties can be seen as a generalization of corresponding well-known properties of Hom-Leibniz algebras. Considering the Hom-Akivis superalgebra associated to a given Hom-Leibniz superalgebra, it is observed that the Hom-super Akivis identity leads to an additional property of Hom-Leibniz superalgebras, which in turn gives a necessary and sufficient condition for Hom-super Lie admissibility of Hom-Leibniz superalgebras. We show also that every (left) Hom-Leibniz sup…
The deformation theory of Lie-Yamaguti algebras is developed by choosing a suitable cohomology. The relationship between the deformation and the obstruction of Lie-Yamaguti algebras is obtained.

We use computer algebra to demonstrate the existence of a multilinear polynomial identity of degree 8 satisfied by the bilinear operation in every Lie-Yamaguti algebra. This identity is a consequence of the defining identities for Lie-Yamaguti algebras, but is not a consequence of anticommutativity. We give an explicit form of this identity as an alternating sum over all permutations of the variables in a polynomial with 8 terms. Our computations also show that such identities do not exist in degrees less than 8.
In this paper, we establish the cohomology of relative Rota-Baxter operators on Lie-Yamaguti algebras via the Yamaguti cohomology. Then we use this type of cohomology to characterize deformations of relative Rota-Baxter operators on Lie-Yamaguti algebras. We show that if two linear or formal deformations of a relative Rota-Baxter operator are equivalent, then their infinitesimals are in the same cohomology class in the first cohomology group. Moreover, an order $n$ deformation of a relative Rota-Baxter operator can be extended to an order $n+1$ deformation if and only if the obstruction class …
A LieYRep pair consists of a Lie-Yamaguti algebra and its representation. In this paper, we establish the cohomology theory of LieYRep pairs and characterize their linear deformations by the second cohomology group. Then we introduce the notion of relative Rota-Baxter-Nijenhuis structures on LieYRep pairs, investigate their properties, and prove that a relative Rota-Baxter-Nijenhuis structure gives rise to a pair of compatible relative Rota-Baxter operators under a certain condition. Finally, we show the equivalence between $r$-matrix-Nijenhuis structures and Rota-Baxter-Nijenhuis structures o…
The cohomology theory of Lie triple systems in the sense of Yamaguti is studied by means of cohomology of Leibniz algebras in the sense of Loday. The notion of Nijenhuis operators for Lie triple system is introduced to describe trivial deformations. We also study the abelian extensions of Lie triple systems in details.
In this paper, we study the cohomology theory of Hom-Lie triple systems generalizing the Yamaguti cohomology theory of Lie triple systems. We introduce the central extension theory for Hom-Lie triple systems and show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between equivalent classes of central extensions of Hom-Lie triple systems and the third cohomology group. We develop the 1-parameter formal deformation theory of Hom-Lie triple systems, and prove that it is governed by the cohomology group.
The first author defended her doctoral thesis Espacios homogéneos reductivos y álgebras no asociativas in 2001, supervised by P. Benito and A. Elduque. This thesis contained the classification of the Lie-Yamaguti algebras with standard enveloping algebra $\mathfrak{g}_2$ over fields of characteristic zero, which in particular gives the classification of the homogeneous reductive spaces of the compact Lie group $G_2$. In this work we revisit this classification from a more geometrical approach. We provide too geometric models of the corresponding homogeneous spaces and make explicit some relati…
In this paper, we first give the notation of a compatible pre-Lie algebra and its representation. We study the relation between compatible Lie algebras and compatible pre-Lie algebras. We also construct a new bidifferential graded Lie algebra whose Maurer-Cartan elements are compatible pre-Lie structures. We give the bidifferential graded Lie algebra which controls deformations of a compatible pre-Lie algebra. Then, we introduce a cohomology of a compatible pre-Lie algebra with coefficients in itself. We study infinitesimal deformations of compatible pre-Lie algebras and show that equivalent i…
This paper defines compatible BiHom-Lie algebras by twisting the compatible Lie algebras by two linear commuting maps. We show the characterization of compatible BiHom-Lie algebra as a Maurer-Cartan element in a suitable bidifferential graded Lie algebra. We also define a cohomology theory for compatible BiHom-Lie algebras.
We study compatible actions (introduced by Brown and Loday in their work on the non-abelian tensor product of groups) in the category of Lie algebras over a fixed ring. We describe the Peiffer product via a new diagrammatic approach, which specializes to the known definitions both in the case of groups and of Lie algebras. We then use this approach to transfer a result linking compatible actions and pairs of crossed modules over a common base object $L$ from groups to Lie algebras. Finally, we show that the Peiffer product, naturally endowed with a crossed module structure, has the universal p…
A compatible $L_\infty$-algebra is a graded vector space together with two compatible $L_\infty$-algebra structures on it. Given a graded vector space, we construct a graded Lie algebra whose Maurer-Cartan elements are precisely compatible $L_\infty$-algebra structures on it. We provide examples of compatible $L_\infty$-algebras arising from Nijenhuis operators, compatible $V$-datas and compatible Courant algebroids. We define the cohomology of a compatible $L_\infty$-algebra and as an application, we study formal deformations. Next, we classify `strict' and `skeletal' compatible $L_\infty$-al…
