We present a detailed analysis of certain quantum spin systems with inhomogeneous (non-random) mean-field interactions. Examples include, but are not limited to, the interchange- and spin singlet projection interactions on complete bipartite graphs. Using two instances of the representation theoretic framework of Schur--Weyl duality, we can explicitly compute the free energy and other thermodynamic limits in the models we consider. This allows us to describe the phase-transition, the ground-state phase diagram, and the expected structure of extremal states.
The Schur-Weyl states belong to a special class of states with a symmetry described by two Young and Weyl tableaux. Representation of physical systems in Hilbert space spanned on these states enables to extract quantum information hidden in nonlocal degrees of freedom. Such property can be very useful in a broad range of problems in Quantum Computations, especially in quantum algorithms constructions, therefore it is very important to know exact form of these states. Moreover, they allow to reduce significantly the size of eigenproblem, or in general, diminishing the representation matrix of a…
We show that the Schur-Weyl type duality between $gl(1|1)$ and $GL_n$ gives a natural representation-theoretic setting for the relation between reduced and non-reduced Burau representations.
In \cite{fl}, the authors get a new presentation of two-parameter quantum algebra $U_{v,t}(\mathfrak{g})$. Their presentation can cover all Kac-Moody cases. In this paper, we construct a suitable Hopf pairing such that $U_{v,t}(sl_{n})$ can be realized as Drinfeld double of certain Hopf subalgebras with respect to the Hopf pairing. Using Hopf pairing, we construct a $R$-matrix for $U_{v,t}(sl_{n})$ which will be used to give the Schur-Weyl dual between $U_{v,t}(sl_{n})$ and Hecke algebra $H_{k}(v,t)$. Furthermore, using the Fusion procedure we construct the primitive orthogonal idempotents of …
We use the fusion formulas of the symmetric group and of the Hecke algebra to construct solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation on irreducible representations of $\mathfrak{gl}_N$, $\mathfrak{gl}_{N|M}$, $U_q(\mathfrak{gl}_N)$ and $U_q(\mathfrak{gl}_{N|M})$. The solutions are obtained via the fusion procedure for the Yang--Baxter equation, which is reviewed in a general setting. Distinguished invariant subspaces on which the fused solutions act are also studied in the general setting, and expressed, in general, with the help of a fusion function. Only then, the general construction is specialise…
The aim of this work is to examine the exponential rates at which entanglement distillation occur in three-qubits systems. The approach we will follow to elucidate the entanglement concentration is based on the Schur-Weyl decomposition and the Keyl-Werner theorem. In order to clearly state the main results of this work we will have to introduce the notion of SLOCC equivalence and the covariant algebra which will allow us to classify states in different \emph{entanglement classes}. Our main results comprehend the asymptotic rates for the probability of being in an invariant subspace in the Wedd…
It is well-known that the commutant algebra of the $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$-action on the $n$-fold tensor product of its fundamental module is isomorphic to the Temperley-Lieb algebra TL$_n(ν)$ with fugacity parameter $ν= -q - q^{-1}$ (at least in the generic case, i.e., when $q$ is not a root of unity, or $n$ is small enough). Furthermore, the simple $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$-modules appearing in the direct-sum decomposition of the $n$-fold tensor product module are in one-to-one correspondence with those of the Temperley-Lieb algebra. This double-commutant property is referred to as quantum Schur…
We prove a quantitative stability result for the Heisenberg-Pauli-Weyl inequality. This yields next and next-to-next order correction terms, sharpening the inequality in all dimensions.
We consider a class of exponentials in the Weyl-Heisenberg algebra with exponents of type at most linear in coordinates and arbitrary functions of momenta. They are expressed in terms of normal ordering where coordinates stand to the left from momenta. Exponents appearing in normal ordered form satisfy differential equations with boundary conditions that could be solved perturbatively order by order. Two propositions are presented for the Weyl-Heisenberg algebra in 2 dimensions and their generalizations in higher dimensions. These results can be applied to arbitrary noncommutative spaces for c…
Weyl-Heisenberg ensembles are a class of determinantal point processes associated with the Schrödinger representation of the Heisenberg group. Hyperuniformity characterizes a state of matter for which (scaled) density fluctuations diminish towards zero at the largest length scales. We will prove that Weyl-Heisenberg ensembles are hyperuniform. Weyl-Heisenberg ensembles include as a special case a multi-layer extension of the Ginibre ensemble modeling the distribution of electrons in higher Landau levels, which has recently been object of study in the realm of the Ginibre-type ensembles associa…
In this paper, we give an geometric description of the Schur-Weyl duality for two-parameter quantum algebras $U_{v, t}(gl_n)$, where $U_{v, t}(gl_n)$ is the deformation of $U_v(I, \cdot)$, the classic Shur-Weyl duality $(U_{r, s}(gl_n), V^{\otimes d}, H_d(r, s))$ can be seen as a corollary of the Shur-Weyl duality $(U_{v, t}(gl_n), V^{\otimes d}, H_d(v, t))$ by using the galois descend approach. we also establish the Shur-Weyl duality between the algebras $\widetilde{U_{v, t}(gl_N)^m}$, $\widehat{U_{v, t}(gl_N)^m}$ and Heck algebra $H_k(v, t)$.
We present a list of formulae useful for Weyl-Heisenberg integral quantizations, with arbitrary weight, of functions or distributions on the plane. Most of these formulae are known, others are original. The list encompasses particular cases like Weyl-Wigner quantization (constant weight) and coherent states (CS) or Berezin quantization (Gaussian weight). The formulae are given with implicit assumptions on their validity on appropriate space(s) of functions (or distributions). One of the aims of the document is to accompany a work in progress on Weyl-Heisenberg integral quantization of dynamics…
We consider a reducible unitary representation of Heisenberg-Weyl group in a tensor product of two Hilbert spaces. A non-commutative operator graph generated by this representation is introduced. It is shown that spectral projections of unitaries in the representation are anticliques (quantum error-correcting codes) for this graph. The obtained codes are appeared to be linear envelopes of entangled vectors.
We study deformations of the harmonic oscillator algebra known as polynomial Heisenberg algebras (PHAs), and establish a connection between them and extended affine Weyl groups of type $A^{(1)}_m$, where $m$ is the degree of the PHA. To establish this connection, we employ supersymmetric quantum mechanics to first connect a polynomial Heisenberg algebra to symmetric systems of differential equations. This connection has been previously used to relate quantum systems to non-linear differential equations; most notably, the fourth and fifth Painlevé equations. Once this is done, we use previous s…
