Pseudo-goldstinos appear in the scenario of multi-sector SUSY breaking. Unlike the true goldstino which is massless and absorbed by the gravitino, pseudo-goldstinos could obtain mass from radiative effects. In this note, working in the scenario of two-sector SUSY breaking with gauge mediation, we explicitly calculate the pseudo-goldstino mass at the leading three-loop level and provide the analytical results. In our calculation we consider the general case of messenger masses (not necessarily equal) and include the higher order terms of SUSY breaking scales. Our results can reproduce the numerical value estimated previously at the leading order of SUSY breaking scales with the assumption of equal messenger masses. It turns out that the results are very sensitive to the ratio of messenger masses, while the higher order terms of SUSY breaking scales are rather small in magnitude. Depending on the ratio of messenger masses, the pseudo-goldstino mass can be as low as ${{\cal O} (0.1)}$ GeV.
We consider a space-time with extra dimensions containing sectors, branes and bulk, that communicate only through gravitational interactions. In each sector, if considered separately, supersymmetry could be spontaneously broken, leading to the appearance of Goldstinos. However, when taken all together, only certain combinations of the latter states turn out to be true ``would be Goldstinos'', eaten by the gravitinos. The other (orthogonal) combinations, we call pseudo-Goldstinos, remain in the low energy spectrum. We discuss explicitly how this happen in the simplest set-up of five-dimensional…
The multi-sector SUSY breaking predicts the existence of pseudo-goldstino, which could couple more strongly to visible fields than ordinary gravitino. Then the lightest neutralino and chargino can decay into a pseudo-goldstino plus a Z-boson, Higgs boson or W-boson. In this note we perform a Monte Carlo simulation for the direct productions of the lightest neutralino and chargino followed by the decays to pseudo-goldstino. Considering scenarios with higgsino-like, bino-like or wino-like lightest neutralino, we find that the signal-to-background ratio at the high luminosity LHC is between 6% an…
The multi-sector SUSY breaking predicts pseudo-goldstino which can couple to the visible sector more strongly than the ordinary gavitino and thus induce the decays of the lightest neutralino and chargino (collectively called electroweakinos) inside the detector. In this note we study the electroweakino pair productions via vector boson fusion (VBF) processes followed by decays to pseudo-goldstino at the LHC. Our Monte Carlo simulations show that at the 14 TeV LHC with 3000 fb^{-1} luminosity the dominant production channel pp->chargino+neutralino+2 jets can have a statistical significance abov…
We review the emergence and fate of goldstinos in different frameworks. First, we consider a super-Higgs mechanism when supersymmetry breaking is induced by neither an F-term nor a D-term but related to a more general stress energy-momentum tensor. This allows us to build a novel Lagrangian that describes the propagation of a spin-3/2 state in a fluid. Then we briefly review the ubiquitous pseudo-goldstinos when breaking supersymmetry in an extra dimension. We remind that the fermion (gravitino or gaugino) soft masses can be tuned to be of Dirac-type. Finally, we briefly connect the latter to …
We consider two SUSY-breaking hidden sectors which decouple when their respective couplings to the visible particles are switched off. In such a scenario one expects to find two light fermions: the Goldstino and the pseudo-Goldstino. While the former remains massless in the rigid limit, the latter becomes massive due to radiative effects which we analyze from several different points of view. This analysis is greatly facilitated by a version of the Goldberger-Treiman relation, which allows us to write a universal non-perturbative formula for the mass. We carry out the analysis in detail in the…
We investigate the collider signatures of the multiple goldstini scenario in the framework of gauge mediation. This class of models is characterized by a visible sector (e.g. the MSSM or any extension) coupled by gauge interactions to more than one SUSY breaking sector. The spectrum consists of a light gravitino LSP, behaving as a goldstino, and a number of neutral fermions (the pseudo-goldstini) with a mass between that of the LSP and that of the lightest particle of the observable sector (LOSP). We consider the two situations where the LOSP is either a gaugino-like neutralino or a stau and w…
The goldstino-matter interactions given by the Goldberger-Treiman relations can receive higher dimensional operator corrections of $ O(q^{2}/M^{2})$, where $M$ denotes the mass of the mediators through which SUSY breaking is transmitted. These corrections in the gauge mediated SUSY breaking models arise from loop diagrams, and an explicit calculation of such corrections is presented. It is emphasized that the Goldberger-Treiman vertices are valid only below the mediator scale and at higher energies goldstinos decouple from the MSSM fields. The implication of this fact on gravitino cosmology in…
We construct the minimal effective field theory (EFT) of supersymmetric inflation, whose field content is a real scalar, the goldstone for time-translation breaking, and a Weyl fermion, the goldstino for supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking. The inflating background can be viewed as a single SUSY-breaking sector, and the degrees of freedom can be efficiently parameterized using constrained superfields. Our EFT is comprised of a chiral superfield X_NL containing the goldstino and satisfying X_NL^2 = 0, and a real superfield B_NL containing both the goldstino and the goldstone, satisfying X_NL B_NL = B…
We present the basic features of emergent SUSY gauge theories where an emergence of gauge bosons as massless vector Nambu-Goldstone modes is triggered by the spontaneously broken supersymmetry rather than the physically manifested Lorentz violation. We start considering the supersymmetric QED model extended by an arbitrary polynomial potential of massive vector superfield that induces the spontaneous SUSY violation in the visible sector. As a consequence, a massless photon appears as a companion of a massless photino emerging as a goldstino in the tree approximation, and remains massless due t…
The effect of spin-0 goldstino superpartners is considered on the nucleosynthesis bounds arising when a superlight gravitino appears as an effective massless neutrino species. When the scalar and pseudoscalar superpartners are relativistic they will decouple at much later times than the goldstino and consequently will be the dominant effect when obtaining a nucleosynthesis bound on the scale of supersymmetry breaking. Assuming that the scalar and pseudoscalar fields decouple at a temperature no later than O(100) MeV, then typically the scale of supersymmetry breaking \sqrt{F} > 60 TeV. This co…
When supergravity (SUGRA) is spontaneously broken, it is well known that anomaly mediation generates sparticle soft masses proportional to the gravitino mass. Recently, we showed that one-loop anomaly-mediated gaugino masses should be associated with unbroken supersymmetry (SUSY). This counterintuitive result arises because the underlying symmetry structure of (broken) SUGRA in flat space is in fact (unbroken) SUSY in anti-de Sitter (AdS) space. When quantum corrections are regulated in a way that preserves SUGRA, the underlying AdS curvature (proportional to the gravitino mass) necessarily ap…
The scenario of multi-sector SUSY breaking predicts pseudo-goldstinos which are not absorbed by the gravitino and their mass can be as low as ${{\cal O} (0.1)}$ GeV. Since the interactions of pseudo-goldstinos are not so weak as gravitino, a produced higgsino can decay to a pseudo-goldstino plus a Higgs boson insider the detector at the LHC, and thus the higgsino pair production can lead to the signal of Higgs pair plus missing energy. For the scenario of natural SUSY which requires rather light higgsinos, such events may sizably outnumber the Higgs pair events predicted by the SM and be acces…
In this paper analytical results are presented for higher order corrections to coefficient functions of the operator product expansion (OPE) for the correlator of two pseudoscalar gluonium operators \tilde{O}_1=G^{μν}\tilde{G}_{μν}. The Wilson coefficient in front of the scalar gluon condensate operator O_1=-1/4 G^{μν}G_{μν} is given at three-loop accuracy. The leading coefficient C_0 in front of the unity operator O_0=1 has been calculated up to three-loop order some time ago but has been checked independently in this work. It is interesting to see that the coefficient C_1 in the pseudoscalar…
We analyze the transmission of supersymmetry breaking in brane-world models of pseudo-supersymmetry. In these models two branes preserve different halves of the bulk supersymmetry. Thus supersymmetry is broken although each sector of the model is supersymmetric when considered separately. The world-volume theory on one brane feels the breakdown of supersymmetry only through two-loop interactions involving a coupling to fields from the other brane. In a 5D toy model with bulk vectors, we compute the diagrams that contribute to scalar masses on one brane and find that the masses are proportional…
We show that it is possible to realize a "mu-split SUSY" scenario [1] in the context of large volume limit of type IIB compactifications on Swiss-Cheese Calabi-Yau's in the presence of a mobile space-time filling D3-brane and a (stack of) D7-brane(s) wrapping the "big" divisor Sigma_B. For this, we investigate the possibility of getting one Higgs to be light while other to be heavy in addition to a heavy Higgsino mass parameter. Further, we examine the existence of long lived gluino that manifests one of the major consequences of mu-split SUSY scenario, by computing its decay width as well as …
We consider a two-loop sunrise integral with two different internal masses at pseudo-threshold kinematics and we solve it in terms of elliptic polylogarithms to all orders of the dimensional regulator.
We examine generalized O'Raifeartaigh models that feature multiple tree-level flat directions and only contain fields with R-charges 0 or 2. We show that spontaneous R-breaking at up to one-loop order is impossible in such theories. Specifically, we prove that the R-symmetric origin of field space is always a local minimum of the one-loop Coleman-Weinberg potential, generalizing an earlier result for the case of a single flat direction. This result has consequences for phenomenology and helps elucidate the behavior of various models of dynamical SUSY breaking.
We analyse the differences between inert and pseudo-inert vacua in the 2HDM, both at tree-level and one-loop. The validity of tree-level formulae for the relative depth of the potential at both minima is studied. The one-loop analysis shows both minima can coexist in regions of parameter space forbidden at tree-level.
We compute the three-loop QCD corrections to the massive quark form factors with external vector, axial-vector, scalar and pseudo-scalar currents. All corrections with closed loops of massless fermions are included. The non-fermionic part is computed in the large-$N_c$ limit, where only planar Feynman diagrams contribute.
We study a singlet extension of the minimal $U(1)_R$ symmetric model, which shares nice properties of Dirac gauginos and $R$-symmetric Higgs sector. At the same time, a superpotential coupling of $R$-charged singlet to the Higgs doublets can give a substantial contribution to the Higgs boson mass. We show that the 125 GeV Higgs boson is consistent with perturbative unification, even if the SUSY scale is as low as 1 TeV and if the $D$-term Higgs potential is suppressed as is often the case in Dirac gauginos. The model also contains a light scalar and fermion, pseudo-moduli and pseudo-Goldstino:…
Higher-loop corrections to the pseudoscalar ($0^{-+}$) gluonium correlation function will be used to obtain the leading gluon condensate contributions to the subtraction-independent QCD sum-rules. The effect of these higher-loop corrections on the sum-rule estimates of the pseudoscalar gluonium mass will be investigated. The final results of this analysis compare favourably with $SU(3)$ lattice simulations.
The contributions of one-loop diagrams with dynamical vector mesons to masses and decay constants of pseudoscalar mesons are determined. Hereby, a relativistic Lagrangian for both the pseudoscalar-meson octet and the vector-meson nonet is used. The vector mesons are given in the antisymmetric tensor representation. Both the differences between static and dynamical vector mesons and the differences between calculations with and without vector mesons are studied as functions of the light quark mass.
We compute the master integrals relevant for the two-loop corrections to pseudo-scalar quarkonium and leptonium production and decay. We present both analytic and high-precision numerical results. The analytic expressions are given in terms of multiple polylogarithms (MPLs), elliptic multiple polylogarithms (eMPLs) and iterated integrals of Eisenstein series. As an application of our results, we obtain for the first time an analytic expression for the two-loop amplitude for para-positronium decay to two photons at two loops.
We analyze two loop quantum corrections for pseudomoduli in O'Raifeartaigh like models. We argue that R-symmetry can be spontaneously broken at two loop in non supersymmetric vacua. We provide a basic example with this property. We discuss on phenomenological applications.
We examine a model with a fermionic dark matter candidate having pseudoscalar interaction with the standard model particles where its direct detection elastic scattering cross section at tree level is highly suppressed. We then calculate analytically the leading loop contribution to the spin independent scattering cross section. It turns out that these loop effects are sizable over a large region of the parameter space. Taking constraints from direct detection experiments, the invisible Higgs decay measurements, observed DM relic density, we find viable regions which are within reach in the fu…
The AdS/CFT correspondence allows to relate 4D strongly coupled theories to weakly coupled theories in 5D AdS. We use this correspondence to study a scenario in which the Higgs appears as a composite pseudo-Goldstone boson (PGB) of a strongly coupled theory. We show how a non-linearly realized global symmetry protects the Higgs mass and guarantees the absence of quadratic divergences at any loop order. The gauge and Yukawa interactions for the PGB Higgs are introduced in a simply way in the 5D AdS theory, and their one-loop contributions to the Higgs potential are calculated using perturbation…
In the standard model extended by a single complex scalar boson with a softly broken global U(1) symmetry, a pseudo Nambu-Goldstone boson becomes a candidate for dark matter. In this paper, we discuss the direct detection of the pseudo Nambu-Goldstone boson dark matter. Since the tree-level amplitude for dark matter-nucleon scattering vanishes, higher order quantum corrections for the amplitude should be taken into account. We perform the calculation at the next-to-leading order in QCD in a systematic manner.
We propose a supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model with an extra U(1) gauge symmetry, so that all supersymmetric mass terms, including the $μ$-term, are forbidden by the gauge symmetries. Supersymmetry is broken dynamically which results in U(1) breaking and generation of realistic $μ$ term and soft breaking masses. The additional fields required to cancel the U(1) anomalies are identified with the messengers of supersymmetry breaking. The gaugino masses arise as in the usual gauge mediated scenario, while squarks and sleptons receive their masses from both the U(1) $D$-term and the t…
We study models of gauge mediated SUSY breaking with more than one hidden sector. In these models the neutralino sector of the MSSM is supplemented with additional light neutral fermions, the nearly massless gravitino and the massive pseudo-goldstini. For the case where the Bino is the lightest ordinary SUSY particle, its preferred decay is to a photon and the heaviest pseudo-goldstino, which generically cascades down to lighter pseudo-goldstini, or to the gravitino, in association with photons. This gives rise to multiphoton plus missing energy signatures at the LHC. We investigate in detail …
We calculate the prominent perturbative contributions shaping the one-loop scalar spectrum of the minimal non-supersymmetric renormalizable $SO(10)$ Higgs model whose unified gauge symmetry is spontaneously broken by an adjoint scalar. Focusing on its potentially realistic $45\oplus 126$ variant in which the rank is reduced by a VEV of the 5-index self-dual antisymmetric tensor, we provide a thorough analysis of the corresponding one-loop Coleman-Weinberg potential, paying particular attention to the masses of the potentially tachyonic pseudo-Goldstone bosons (PGBs) transforming as $(8,1,0)$ a…
This paper presents a first study of the decay constants of the charged, or flavor-off-diagonal, pseudoscalar mesons to two loops for three flavors of sea quarks, in Partially Quenched Chiral Perturbation Theory (PQ$χ$PT). Explicit analytical expressions up to ${\cal O}(p^6)$ in the momentum expansion are given. The calculations have been performed within the supersymmetric formulation of PQ$χ$PT. We also present some numerical results to indicate the size of the corrections.
We compute the radiative corrections to the four-point amplitude $g+g \rightarrow A+A$ in massless Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) up to order $a_s^4$ in perturbation theory. We used the effective field theory that describes the coupling of pseudo-scalars to gluons and quarks directly, in the large top quark mass limit. Due to the CP odd nature of the pseudo-scalar Higgs boson, the computation involves careful treatment of chiral quantities in dimensional regularisation. The ultraviolet finite results are shown to be consistent with the universal infrared structure of QCD amplitudes. The infrared…
The coupling of a pseudo-scalar Higgs boson to gluons is mediated through a heavy quark loop. In the limit of large quark mass, it is described by an effective Lagrangian that only admits light degrees of freedom. In this effective theory, we compute the three-loop massless QCD corrections to the form factor that describes the coupling of a pseudo-scalar Higgs boson to gluons. Due to the axial anomaly, the pseudo-scalar operator for the gluonic field strength mixes with the divergence of the axial vector current. Working in dimensional regularization and using the 't~Hooft-Veltman prescription…
Charmonium sum rules for pseudoscalar 0^{-+} state eta_c(1S) are analyzed within perturbative QCD and Operator Product Expansion. The perturbative part of the pseudoscalar correlator is considered at alpha_s^2 order and the contribution of the gluon condensate <G^2> is taken into account with alpha_s correction. The OPE series includes the operators of dimension D=6,8 computed both in the instanton and factorization model. The method of moments in MS-bar scheme allows to establish acceptable values of the charm quark mass and gluon condensate, using the experimental mass of eta_c. In result of…
Phenomenologically relevant electroweak precision pseudo-observables related to Z-boson physics are discussed in the context of the strong experimental demands of future $e^+e^-$ colliders. The recent completion of two-loop Z-boson results is summarized and a prospect for the 3-loop Standard Model calculation of the Z-boson decay pseudo-observable is given.
We incorporate recent calculations of one-loop corrections for the reduced Ioffe-time pseudo-distribution ${\mathfrak M} (ν,z_3^2)$ to extend the leading-logarithm analysis of lattice data obtained by Orginos et al. We observe that the one-loop corrections contain a large term reflecting the fact that effective distances involved in the most important diagrams are much smaller than the nominal distance $z_3$. The large correction in this case may be absorbed into the evolution term, and the perturbative expansion used for extraction of parton densities at the $μ\approx 2$ GeV scale is under co…
If dark matter (DM) is a fermion and its interactions with the standard model particles are mediated by pseudoscalar particles, the tree-level amplitude for the DM-nucleon elastic scattering is suppressed by the momentum transfer in the non-relativistic limit. At the loop level, on the other hand, the spin-independent contribution to the cross section appears without such suppression. Thus, the loop corrections are essential to discuss the sensitivities of the direct detection experiments for the model prediction. The one-loop corrections were investigated in the previous works. However, the t…
Recent dark matter (DM) direct searches place very stringent constraints on the possible DM candidates proposed in extensions of the Standard Model. There are however models where these constraints are avoided. One of the simplest and most striking examples comes from a straightforward Higgs portal pseudoscalar DM model featured with a softly broken $U(1)$ symmetry. In this model the tree-level DM-nucleon scattering cross section vanishes in the limit of zero momentum-transfer. It has also been argued that the leading-order DM-nucleon cross-section appears at the one-loop level. %, which is to…
Through this article, we present the two-loop massless QCD corrections to the production of di-Higgs and di-pseudo-Higgs boson through quark annihilation in the large top quark mass limit. Within dimensional regularisation, we employ the non-anticommuting $γ_5$ and treat it under the Larin prescription. We discover the absence of any additional renormalisation, so-called contact renormalisation, that could arise from the short distance behaviour of two local operators. This finding is in corroboration with the operator product expansion. By examining the results, we discover the lack of simila…
The recent discovery of two-dimensional Dirac materials, such as graphene and transition-metaldichalcogenides, has raised questions about the treatment of hybrid systems, in which electrons moving in a two-dimensional plane interact via virtual photons from the three-dimensional space. In this case, a projected non-local theory, known as Pseudo-QED, or reduced QED, has shown to provide a correct framework for describing the interactions displayed by these systems. In a related situation, in planar materials exhibiting a superconducting phase, the electromagnetic field has a typical exponential…
A dark matter (DM) having feeble interaction with the visible sector can thermalise via substantial interaction with a Weakly Interacting Massive Particle (WIMP). Such DM candidates are categorised as pseudo-FIMP (pFIMP). pFIMP can provide both direct and indirect search prospects via WIMP loop. This work focuses into such possibilities. We provide all such one loop graphs involving scalar, fermion and vector boson particles via which pFIMP can interact with the Standard Model assuming both of them are stabilised via $\mathbb{Z}_2\otimes \mathbb{Z}_2^{\prime}$ symmetries. We elaborate upon a m…
We present Standard Model predictions for the complete set of phenomenologically relevant electroweak precision pseudo-observables related to the Z-boson: the leptonic and bottom-quark effective weak mixing angles $\sin^2θ_{\rm eff}^\ell$, $\sin^2θ_{\rm eff}^b$, the Z-boson partial decay widths $Γ_f$, where $f$ indicates any charged lepton, neutrino and quark flavor (except for the top quark), as well as the total Z decay width $Γ_Z$, the branching ratios $R_\ell$, $R_c$, $R_b$, and the hadronic cross section $σ_{\rm had}^0$. The input parameters are the masses $M_Z$, $M_H$ and $m_t$, and the …
Using special linear combinations of finite energy sum rules which minimize the contribution of the unknown continuum spectral function, we compute the decay constants of the pseudoscalar mesons B and B_s. In the computation, we employ the recent three loop calculation of the pseudoscalar two-point function expanded in powers of the running bottom quark mass. The sum rules show remarkable stability over a wide range of the upper limit of the finite energy integration. We obtain the following results for the pseudoscalar decay constants: f_B=178 \pm 14 MeV and f_{B_s}=200 \pm 14 MeV. The result…
We present the analytic expressions for the two-loop form factors for the production or decay of pseudo-scalar quarkonia, in a scheme where the quarks are produced at threshold. We consider the two-loop amplitude for the process $γγ\leftrightarrow {^1S_0^{[1]}}$, that was previously known only numerically, as well as for the processes $gg \leftrightarrow {^1S_0^{[1]}}$, $γg \leftrightarrow {^1S_0^{[8]}}$ and $gg \leftrightarrow {^1S_0^{[8]}}$, which have not been computed before. The two-loop corrections to $gg \leftrightarrow {^1S_0^{[1]}}$ are the last missing ingredients for a full NNLO cal…
We derive one-loop matching relations for the Ioffe-time distributions related to the pion distribution amplitude (DA) and generalized parton distributions (GPDs). They are obtained from a universal expression for the one-loop correction in an operator form, and will be used in the ongoing lattice calculations of the pion DA and GPDs based on the parton pseudo-distributions approach.
Starting from a relativistic Lagrangian for pseudoscalar Goldstone bosons and vector mesons in the antisymmetric tensor representation, a one-loop calculation is performed to pin down the divergent structures that appear for the effective low-energy action at chiral orders Q^2 and Q^4. The corresponding renormalisation-scale dependences of all low-energy constants up to chiral order Q^4 are determined. Calculations are carried out for both the pseudoscalar octet and the pseudoscalar nonet, the latter in the framework of chiral perturbation theory in the limit of a large number of colours.
The neutral Higgs sector of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) in explicit CP violation scenario is investigated at the one-loop level. Within the context of the effective potential formalism, the masses of the neutral Higgs bosons are calculated at the one-loop level by taking into account the contributions of the following loops of ordinary particles and superpartners: top quark, the scalar top quarks, bottom quark, the scalar bottom quarks, tau lepton, the scalar tau leptons, $W$ boson, the charged Higgs boson, the charginos, $Z$ boson, the scalar and pseudoscalar Higgs bosons…
We discuss the relation between the Polyakov loop and the chiral order parameter at finite temperature by using the Gocksch-Ogilvie model with fundamental or adjoint quarks. The model is based on the double expansion of strong coupling and large dimensionality on the lattice. In an analytic way with the mean field approximation employed, we show that the confined phase must be accompanied by the spontaneous breaking of the chiral symmetry for both fundamental and adjoint quarks. Then we proceed to numerical analysis to look into the coupled dynamics of the Polyakov loop and the chiral order pa…
We compute the decay constants of the pseudoscalar mesons D and D_{s} using a linear combination of finite energy sum rules which minimize the contribution of the unknown continuum spectral function. We employ the recent three loop calculation of the pseudoscalar two-point function expanded in powers of the running charm quark mass. The theoretical uncertainties arising from the QCD asymptotic expansion are quite relevant in this case due to the relative small scale of the charm mass. We obtain the following results: f_{D}=177 \pm 21 MeV and f_{D_{s}}=205 \pm 22 MeV. These results, within the …
We consider moments of the non-diagonal vector, axial-vector, scalar and pseudo-scalar current correlators involving two different massive quark flavours up to three-loop accuracy. Expansions around the limits where one mass is zero and the equal-mass case are computed. These results are used to construct approximations valid for arbitrary mass values.
We propose a possibility of the 125 GeV Higgs being a pseudo-Goldstone boson in supersymmetry with extra vector-like fermions. Higgs mass is obtained from loops of top quark and vector-like fermions from the global symmetry breaking scale f at around TeV. The mu, Bmu/mu \sim f are generated from the dynamics of global symmetry breaking and the Higgs quartic coupling vanishes at f as tan beta \simeq 1. The relation of msoft \sim $4πM_Z$ with f \sim mu \sim m_soft \sim TeV is obtained and large mu does not cause a fine tuning for the electroweak symmetry breaking. The Higgs to di-photon rate can…
We consider loop level contributions to dark matter scattering off nucleons in cases where the spin independent scattering cross section is absent or suppressed at tree level. In the case of a pseudoscalar interaction, for which the tree level cross section is both spin-dependent and suppressed by 4 powers of the exchanged momentum, we show that loop diagrams give rise to a non- zero spin independent cross section. Importantly, if the pseudoscalar interaction is formulated using a gauge invariant framework, loop effects generate an effective $\barχχh$ vertex and result in a scattering cross se…
We perform a one-loop study of the small-$z_3^2$ behavior of the Ioffe-time distribution (ITD) ${\cal M} (ν, z_3^2)$, the basic function that may be converted into parton pseudo- and quasi-distributions. We calculate the corrections at the operator level, so that our results may be later used for pseudo-distribution amplitudes and generalized parton pseudo-distributions. We separate two sources of the $z_3^2$-dependence at small $z_3^2$. One is related to the ultraviolet (UV) singularities generated by the gauge link, and another to short-distance logarithms generating perturbative evolution o…
The quark-gluon plasma (QGP) excitations, corresponding to the scalar and pseudoscalar meson quantum numbers, for different temperatures are calculated. Analysis is performed in the Hard Thermal Loop (HTL) Approximation and leads to a better understanding of the excitations of QGP in the deconfined phase and is also of relevance for lattice studies.
