We consider a two-loop sunrise integral with two different internal masses at pseudo-threshold kinematics and we solve it in terms of elliptic polylogarithms to all orders of the dimensional regulator.
We summarize recent computations with a class of elliptic generalizations of polylogarithms, arising from the massive sunrise integral. For the case of arbitrary masses we obtain results in two and four space-time dimensions. The iterated integral structure of our functions allows us to furthermore compute the equal mass case to arbitrary order.
We introduce a class of iterated integrals that generalize multiple polylogarithms to elliptic curves. These elliptic multiple polylogarithms are closely related to similar functions defined in pure math- ematics and string theory. We then focus on the equal-mass and non-equal-mass sunrise integrals, and we develop a formalism that enables us to compute these Feynman integrals in terms of our iterated integrals on elliptic curves. The key idea is to use integration-by-parts identities to identify a set of integral kernels, whose precise form is determined by the branch points of the integral i…
In this talk we discuss the solution for the sunrise integral around two and four space-time dimensions in terms of a generalised elliptic version of the multiple polylogarithms. In two space-time dimensions we obtain a sum of three elliptic dilogarithms. The arguments of the elliptic dilogarithms have a nice geometric interpretation. In four space-time dimensions the sunrise integral can be expressed with the $ε^0$- and $ε^1$-solution around two dimensions, mass derivatives thereof and simpler terms.
In this talk, we discuss recent progress in the application of generalizations of polylogarithms in the symbolic computation of multi-loop integrals. We briefly review the Maple program MPL which supports a certain approach for the computation of Feynman integrals in terms of multiple polylogarithms. Furthermore we discuss elliptic generalizations of polylogarithms which have shown to be useful in the computation of the massive two-loop sunrise integral.
We integrate three-loop sunrise-type vacuum diagrams in $D_0=4$ dimensions with four different masses using configuration space techniques. The finite parts of our results are in numerical agreement with corresponding three-loop calculations in momentum space. Using some of the closed form results of the momentum space calculation we arrive at new integral identities involving truncated integrals of products of Bessel functions. For the non-degenerate finite two-loop sunrise-type vacuum diagram in $D_0=2$ dimensions we make use of the known closed form $p$-space result to express the moment of…
We introduce a class of functions which constitutes an obvious elliptic generalization of multiple polylogarithms. A subset of these functions appears naturally in the ε-expansion of the imaginary part of the two-loop massive sunrise graph. Building upon the well known properties of multiple polylogarithms, we associate a concept of weight to these functions and show that this weight can be lowered by the action of a suitable differential operator. We then show how properties and relations among these functions can be studied bottom-up starting from lower weights.
We present a method to compute the Laurent expansion of the two-loop sunrise integral with equal non-zero masses to arbitrary order in the dimensional regularisation $\varepsilon$. This is done by introducing a class of functions (generalisations of multiple polylogarithms to include the elliptic case) and by showing that all integrations can be carried out within this class of functions.
The values at pseudothreshold of two loop sunrise master amplitudes with arbitrary masses are obtained by solving a system of differential equations. The expansion at pseudothreshold of the amplitudes is constructed and some lowest terms are explicitly presented.
Elliptic multiple polylogarithms occur in Feynman integrals and in particular in scattering amplitudes. They can be characterized by their symbol, a tensor product in the so-called symbol letters. In contrast to the non-elliptic case, the elliptic letters themselves satisfy highly non-trivial identities, which we discuss in this paper. Moreover, we introduce the symbol prime, an analog of the symbol for elliptic symbol letters, which makes these identities manifest. We demonstrate its use in two concrete examples at two-loop order: the unequal-mass sunrise integral in two dimensions and the te…
We solve the two-loop sunrise integral with unequal masses systematically to all orders in the dimensional regularisation parameter $\varepsilon$. In order to do so, we transform the system of differential equations for the master integrals to an $\varepsilon$-form. The sunrise integral with unequal masses depends on three kinematical variables. We perform a change of variables to standard coordinates on the moduli space ${\mathcal M}_{1,3}$ of a genus one Riemann surface with three marked points. This gives us the solution as iterated integrals on $\overline{\mathcal M}_{1,3}$. On the hypersu…
We consider the scalar integral associated to the 3-loop sunrise graph with a massless line, two massive lines of equal mass $M$, a fourth line of mass equal to $Mx$, and the external invariant timelike and equal to the square of the fourth mass. We write the differential equation in $x$ satisfied by the integral, expand it in the continuous dimension $d$ around $d=4$ and solve the system of the resulting chained differential equations in closed analytic form, expressing the solutions in terms of Harmonic Polylogarithms. As a byproduct, we give the limiting values of the coefficients of the $(…
We consider the two-loop self-mass sunrise amplitude with two equal masses $M$ and the external invariant equal to the square of the third mass $m$ in the usual $d$-continuous dimensional regularization. We write a second order differential equation for the amplitude in $x=m/M$ and show as solve it in close analytic form. As a result, all the coefficients of the Laurent expansion in $(d-4)$ of the amplitude are expressed in terms of harmonic polylogarithms of argument $x$ and increasing weight. As a by product, we give the explicit analytic expressions of the value of the amplitude at $x=1$, c…
The 4-loop sunrise graph with two massless lines, two lines of equal mass M and a line of mass m, for external invariant timelike and equal to m^2 is considered. We write differential equations in x=m/M for the Master Integrals of the problem, which we Laurent-expand in the regularizing continuous dimension d around d=4, and then solve exactly in x up to order (d-4)^3 included; the result is expressed in terms of Harmonic PolyLogarithms of argument x and maximum weight 7. As a by product, we obtain the x=1 value, expected to be relevant in QED 4-loop static quantities like the electron (g-2). …
An explicit investigation about the equal-mass two-loop sunrise Feynman graph is performed. Such perturbative amplitude is related with many important physical process treated in the standard model context. The background of this investigation is an alternative strategy to handle with the divergences typical of perturbative solutions of quantum field theory. Since its proposition, the mentioned method was exhaustively used to calculate and manipulate one-loop Feynman integrals with a great success. However, the great advances in precision of experimental data collected in particle physics coll…
We study the analytic continuation of Feynman integrals from the kite family, expressed in terms of elliptic generalisations of (multiple) polylogarithms. Expressed in this way, the Feynman integrals are functions of two periods of an elliptic curve. We show that all what is required is just the analytic continuation of these two periods. We present an explicit formula for the two periods for all values of $t \in {\mathbb R}$. Furthermore, the nome $q$ of the elliptic curve satisfies over the complete range in $t$ the inequality $|q|\le 1$, where $|q|=1$ is attained only at the singular points…
We present a generalization of the symbol calculus from ordinary multiple polylogarithms to their elliptic counterparts. Our formalism is based on a special case of a coaction on large classes of periods that is applied in particular to elliptic polylogarithms and iterated integrals of modular forms. We illustrate how to use our formalism to derive relations among elliptic polylogarithms, in complete analogy with the non-elliptic case. We then analyze the symbol alphabet of elliptic polylogarithms evaluated at rational points, and we observe that it is given by Eisenstein series for a certain …
We present fully analytic results for all master integrals for the three-loop banana graph with four equal and non-zero masses. The results are remarkably simple and all integrals are expressed as linear combinations of iterated integrals of modular forms of uniform weight for the same congruence subgroup as for the two-loop equal-mass sunrise graph. We also show how to write the results in terms of elliptic polylogarithms evaluated at rational points.
We compute the master integrals relevant for the two-loop corrections to pseudo-scalar quarkonium and leptonium production and decay. We present both analytic and high-precision numerical results. The analytic expressions are given in terms of multiple polylogarithms (MPLs), elliptic multiple polylogarithms (eMPLs) and iterated integrals of Eisenstein series. As an application of our results, we obtain for the first time an analytic expression for the two-loop amplitude for para-positronium decay to two photons at two loops.
We compute the color-planar and complete light quark non-singlet contributions to the heavy quark form factors in the case of the axialvector, scalar and pseudoscalar currents at three loops in perturbative QCD. We evaluate the master integrals applying a new method based on differential equations for general bases, which is applicable for all first order factorizing systems. The analytic results are expressed in terms of harmonic polylogarithms and real-valued cyclotomic harmonic polylogarithms.

The differential equation in the external invariant p^2 satisfied by the master integral of the general massive 2-loop 4-denominator self-mass diagram is exploited and the expansion of the master integral at p^2=0 is obtained analytically. The system composed by this differential equation with those of the master integrals related to the general massive 2-loop sunrise diagram is numerically solved by the Runge-Kutta method in the complex p^2 plane. A numerical method to obtain results for values of p^2 at and close to thresholds and pseudo-thresholds is discussed in details.
As a first step in the aim of arriving at a differential description of neutral Higgs boson decays into heavy quarks, $h \to Q {\bar Q}X$, to second order in the QCD coupling $α_S$, we have computed the $hQ{\bar Q}$ amplitude at the two-loop level in QCD for a general neutral Higgs boson which has both scalar and pseudoscalar couplings to quarks. This amplitude is given in terms of a scalar and a pseudoscalar vertex form factor, for which we present closed analytic expressions in terms of one-dimensional harmonic polylogarithms of maximum weight 4. The results hold for arbitrary four-momentum …
The virtual two-loop corrections for Higgs production in gluon fusion are calculated analytically in QCD for arbitrary Higgs and quark masses. Both scalar and pseudo-scalar Higgs bosons are considered. The results are obtained by expanding the known one-dimensional integral representation in terms of m_H/m_q, and matching it with a suitably chosen ansatz of Harmonic Polylogarithms. This ansatz is motivated by the known analytic result for the Higgs decay rate into two photons. The method also allows us to check this result and to extend it to the pseudo-scalar decay rate.
We compute the master integrals containing 2 and 3 massive propagators entering the planar amplitudes of the 2-loop electroweak form factor. The masses of the $W$, $Z$ and Higgs bosons are assumed to be degenerate. This work is a continuation of our previous evaluation of master integrals containing at most 1 massive propagator. The 1/εpoles and the finite parts are computed exactly in terms of a {\it new} class of 1-dimensional harmonic polylogarithms of the variable x, with ε=2-D/2 and D the pace-time dimension. Since thresholds and pseudothresholds in s=\pm 4m^2 do appear in addition to the…
In leptophilic scenarios, dark matter interactions with nuclei, relevant for direct detection experiments and for the capture by celestial objects, could only occur via loop-induced processes. If the mediator is a scalar or pseudo-scalar particle, which only couples to leptons, the dominant contribution to dark matter-nucleus scattering would take place via two-photon exchange with a lepton triangle loop. The corresponding diagrams have been estimated in the literature under different approximations. Here, we present new analytical calculations for one-body two-loop and two-body one-loop inter…
A comprehensive study is performed of two-loop Feynman diagrams with three external legs which, due to the exchange of massless gauge-bosons, give raise to infrared and collinear divergencies. Their relevance in assembling realistic computations of next-to-next-to-leading corrections to physical observables is emphasised. A classification of infrared singular configurations, based on solutions of Landau equations, is introduced. Algorithms for the numerical evaluation of the residues of the infrared poles and of the infrared finite parts of diagrams are introduced and discussed within the sche…
We compute the $n_h$ terms to the massive three loop vector-, axialvector-, scalar- and pseudoscalar form factors in a direct analytic calculation using the method of large moments. This method has the advantage, that the master integrals have to be dealt with only in their moment representation, allowing to also consider quantities which obey differential equations, which are not first order factorizable (elliptic and higher), already at this level. To obtain all the associated recursions, up to 8000 moments had to be calculated. A new technique has been applied to solve the associated differ…
