Motivated to generalize the Fourier frame concept to Banach spaces we introduce (p, q)-Bessel/frame measures for a given finite measure on LCA groups. We also present a general way of constructing (p, q)-Bessel/frame measures for a given measure. Moreover, we prove that if a measure has an associated (p, q)-frame measure, then it must have a certain uniformity in the sense that the weight is distributed quite uniformly on its support. Next, we show that if the measures $μ$ and $λ$ without atoms whose supports form a packing pair, then $μ\astλ+δ_g\astμ$ does not admit any (p, q)-frame measure. Finally, we analyze the stability of (p, q)-frame measures under small perturbations. We prove new theorems concerning the stability of (p, q)-frame measures under perturbation in both Hilbert spaces and Banach spaces.
G\v avruta studied atomic systems in terms of frames for range of operators (that is, for subspaces), namely $K$-frames, where the lower frame condition is controlled by the Hilbert-adjoint of a bounded linear operator $K$. For a locally compact abelian group G and a positive integer $n$, we study frames of matrix-valued Gabor systems in the matrix-valued Lebesgue space $L^2(G, \mathbb{C}^{n\times n})$ , where a bounded linear operator $Θ$ on $L^2(G, \mathbb{C}^{n\times n})$ controls not only lower but also the upper frame condition. We term such frames matrix-valued $(Θ, Θ^*)$-Gabor frames. F…
In this paper we study the properties of multiplication invariant (MI) operators acting on subspaces of the vector-valued space $L^2(X;\mathcal H)$. We characterize such operators in terms of range functions by showing that there is an isomorphism between the category of MI spaces (with MI operators as morphisms) and the category of measurable range functions whose morphisms are measurable range operators. We investigate how global properties of an MI operator are reflected by local pointwise properties of its corresponding range operator. We also establish several results about frames generat…
We prove sharp upper and lower bounds for generalized Calderón's sums associated to frames on LCA groups generated by affine actions of cocompact subgroup translations and general measurable families of automorphisms. The proof makes use of techniques of analysis on metric spaces, and relies on a counting estimate of lattice points inside metric balls. We will deduce as special cases Calderón-type inequalities for families of expanding automorphisms as well as for LCA-Gabor systems.
We introduce new quasi-Banach modulation spaces on locally compact abelian (LCA) groups which coincide with the classical ones in the Banach setting and prove their main properties. Then we study Gabor frames on quasi-lattices, significantly extending the original theory introduced by Gröchenig and Strohmer. These issues are the key tools in showing boundedness results for Kohn-Nirenberg and localization operators on modulation spaces and studying their eigenfunctions' properties. In particular, the results in the Euclidean space are recaptured.
For a second countable locally compact abelian (LCA) group $G$, we study some necessary and sufficient conditions to generate continuous Gabor frames for $L^{2}(G)$. To this end, we reformulate the generalized Zak transform proposed by Grochenig in the case of integer-oversampled lattices, however our formulation rely on the assumption that both translation and modulation groups are only closed subgroups. Moreover, we discuss the possibility of such generalization and apply several examples to demonestrate the necessity of standing conditions in the results. Finally, by using the generalized Z…
K-fusion frames are generalizations of fusion frames in frame theory. This article characterizes various kinds of property of K-fusion frames. Several perturbation results on K-fusion frames are formulated and analyzed.
In this paper, we introduce orthonoramal and Riesz bases for g-fusion frames and will show that the weights have basic roles. Next, we prove an effective theorem between frames and g-fusion frames by using an operator. Finally, perturbations of g-fusion frames will be presented.
Frame Theory has a great revolution in recent years. This Theory have been extended from Hilbert spaces to Hilbert $C^{\ast}$-modules. In this paper we consider the stability of continuous operator frame and continuous $K$-operator frames in Hilbert $C^{\ast}$-Modules under perturbation and we establish some properties
In this note, we prove some results related to small perturbations of a frame for a Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$ in order to have a woven pair for $\mathcal{H}$. Our results complete those known in the literature. In addition we study a necessary condition for a woven pair, that resembles a characterization for Riesz frames.
In this article we study the structure of $Γ$-invariant spaces of $L^2(\bf R)$. Here $\bf R$ is a second countable LCA group. The invariance is with respect to the action of $Γ$, a non commutative group in the form of a semidirect product of a discrete cocompact subgroup of $\bf R$ and a group of automorphisms. This class includes in particular most of the crystallographic groups. We obtain a complete characterization of $Γ$-invariant subspaces in terms of range functions associated to shift-invariant spaces. We also define a new notion of range function adapted to the $Γ$-invariance and const…
Paley-Wiener theorem for frames for Hilbert spaces, Banach frames, Schauder frames and atomic decompositions for Banach spaces are known. In this paper, we derive Paley-Wiener theorem for p-approximate Schauder frames for separable Banach spaces. We show that our results give Paley-Wiener theorem for frames for Hilbert spaces.
Frame theory is recently an active research area in mathematics, computer science, and engineering with many exciting applications in a variety of different fields. In this paper, we firstly give a characterization of operator frame for $End_{\mathcal{A}}^{\ast}(\mathcal{H})$ and $K$-operator frames for $End_{\mathcal{A}}^{\ast}(\mathcal{H})$. Lastly we consider the stability of operator frame for $End_{\mathcal{A}}^{\ast}(\mathcal{H})$ and $K$-operator frames for $End_{\mathcal{A}}^{\ast}(\mathcal{H})$ under perturbation and we establish some results.
In this work, we consider some relationships between a closed range operator $T$ and a fusion frame $\mathcal{W}=(W_i,w_i)_{i\in I}$ for a Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$ that provides that the sequence $(\overline{T(W_i)},v_i)_{i\in I}$ is a fusion frame sequence for $\mathcal{H}$, if we consider a suitable family of weights $\{v_i\}_{i\in I}$. This (sufficient) condition generalizes some previous work in the subject.
The Sobolev space $H^ς(\mathbb{R}^{d})$, where $ς> d/2$, is an important function space that has many applications in various areas of research. Attributed to the inertia of a measurement instrument, it is desirable in sampling theory to recover a function by its nonuniform sampling. In the present paper, based on dual framelet systems for the Sobolev space pair $(H^{s}(\mathbb{R}^{d}), H^{-s}(\mathbb{R}^{d}))$, where $d/2<s<ς$, we investigate the problem of constructing the approximations to all the functions in $H^ς(\mathbb{R}^{d})$ by nonuniform sampling. We first establish the convergence …
Approximately dual frames as a generalization of duality notion in Hilbert spaces have applications in Gabor systems, wavelets, coorbit theory and sensor modeling. In recent years, the computing of the associated deviations of the canonical and alternate dual frames from the original ones has been considered by some authors. However, the quantitative measurement of the associated deviations of the alternate and approximately dual frames from the original ones has not been satisfactorily answered. In this paper, among other things, it is proved that if the sequence $Ψ=(ψ_n)_n$ is sufficiently c…
Motivated by recent progress in operator representation of frames, we investigate the frames of the form $ \{T^n φ\}_{n\in I}$ for $ I=\mathbb{N}, \mathbb{Z} $, and answer questions about representations, perturbations and frames induced by the action of powers of bounded linear operators. As a particular case, we discuss problems concerning representation of frames in terms of iterations of the mixed frame operators. As our another contribution, we consider frames of the form $ \{a_n T^n φ\}_{n=0}^{\infty} $ for some non-zero scalars $ \{a_n\}_{n=0}^{\infty} $, and we obtain some new results …
In this note, following the theory of discrete frame perturbations in a complex Hilbert space, we examine perturbation of rank $n$ continuous frame, rank $n$ continuous Bessel family and rank $n$ continuous Riesz family in a non-commutative setting, namely in a right quaternionic Hilbert space.
A frame $(x_j)_{j\in J}$ for a Hilbert space $H$ is said to do phase retrieval if for all distinct vectors $x,y\in H$ the magnitude of the frame coefficients $(|\langle x, x_j\rangle|)_{j\in J}$ and $(|\langle y, x_j\rangle|)_{j\in J}$ distinguish $x$ from $y$ (up to a unimodular scalar). A frame which does phase retrieval is said to do $C$-stable phase retrieval if the recovery of any vector $x\in H$ from the magnitude of the frame coefficients is $C$-Lipschitz. It is known that if a frame does stable phase retrieval then any sufficiently small perturbation of the frame vectors will do stable…
