We discuss the role of deformation of the target nucleus in the fusion reaction of the $^{15}$C + $^{232}$Th system at energies around the Coulomb barrier, for which $^{15}$C is a well-known one-neutron halo nucleus. To this end, we construct the potential between $^{15}$C and $^{232}$Th with the double folding procedure, assuming that the projectile nucleus is composed of the core nucleus, $^{14}$C, and a valance neutron. By taking into account the halo nature of the projectile nucleus as well as the deformation of the target nucleus, we simultaneously reproduce the fusion cross sections for the $^{14}$C + $^{232}$Th and the $^{15}$C + $^{232}$Th systems. Our calculation indicates that the net effect of the breakup and the transfer channels is small for this system.
We discuss heavy-ion fusion reactions of a well-deformed odd-mass nucleus at energies around the Coulomb barrier. To this end, we consider the $^{16}$O+$^{165}$Ho reaction and take into account the effect of deformation of $^{165}$Ho using the orientation average formula. We show that fusion cross sections are sensitive to magnetic substates of the target nucleus, and cross sections for the side collision, which are relevant to a synthesis of superheavy elements, may be enhanced by a factor of around two by aligning the deformed target nuclei. We also discuss the effect of alignment on the fus…
We previously proposed a formula for calculating the Coulomb energy of spherical nucleus with Wood-Saxon charge distribution. In this work, the analytical formula is extended for description of the Coulomb energy of nucleus with beta2 deformation.
Reaction cross-sections are calculated using the Coulomb modified Glauber model for deformed target nuclei. The deformed nuclear matter density of the target is expanded into multipoles of order k = 0,2,4.The reaction cross-sections between some spherical and deformed nuclei are studied at energy range (10-1000 MeV/nucleon). The most significant effects in the intermediate energy range are the Coulomb field and in-medium effect that modified the trajectory of the incident beams. Introducing the deformation effect beside the Coulomb field and in-medium effect improves the agreement with the exp…
We report on cranked Skyrme-HFB calculations of rotational bands of the octupole-deformed nucleus $^{222}$Th. A sudden change in configuration is observed, with the shape of the yrast state jumping from large octupole deformation at low spin to small octupole deformation at high spin.
The recently observed large cross sections for the Coulomb dissociation of $^{31}$Ne nucleus indicate that this nucleus takes a halo structure in the ground state. We analyse these experimental data using the particle-rotor model, that takes into account the rotational excitation of the core nucleus $^{30}$Ne. We show that the experimental data can be well reproduced when the quadrupole deformation parameter of $^{30}$Ne is around $β_2=0.2\sim0.3$, at which the ground state takes the spin and parity of $I^π$=3/2$^-$. This state corresponds to the Nilsson level [330 1/2] in the adiabatic limit …
A comprehensive decay scheme of $^{93}$Nb below 2 MeV has been constructed from information obtained with the $^{93}$Nb(n,n$^\prime$$γ$) and $^{94}$Zr(p,2n$γ$$γ$)$^{93}$Nb reactions. Branching ratios, lifetimes, transition multipolarities and spin assignments have been determined. From $M1$ and $E2$ strengths, fermionic-bosonic excitations of isoscalar and isovector character have been identified from the weak coupling $\pi1g_{9/2}$$\otimes$$^{92}_{40}$Zr and $\pi2p_{1/2}^{-1}$$\otimes$$^{94}_{42}$Mo configurations. A microscopic interpretation of such excitations is attained from shell-model …
Using the Glauber theory, we calculate reaction cross sections for the deformed halo nucleus $^{31}$Ne. To this end, we assume that the $^{31}$Ne nucleus takes the $^{30}$Ne + $n$ structure. In order to take into account the rotational excitation of the core nucleus $^{30}$Ne, we employ the particle-rotor model (PRM). We compare the results to those in the adiabatic limit of PRM, that is, the Nilsson model, and show that the Nilsson model works reasonably well for the reaction cross sections of $^{31}$Ne. We also investigate the dependence of the reaction cross sections on the ground state pro…
A Reflection ASymmetric Relativistic Mean Field (RAS-RMF) approach is developed by expanding the equations of motion for both the nucleons and the mesons on the eigenfunctions of the two-center harmonic-oscillator potential. The efficiency and reliability of the RAS-RMF approach are demonstrated in its application to the well-known octupole deformed nucleus $^{226}$Ra and the available data, including the binding energy and the deformation parameters, are well reproduced.
We present an analysis based on the deformed Quasi Particle Random Phase Approximation, on top of a deformed Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov description of the ground state, aimed at studying the isoscalar monopole and quadrupole response in a deformed nucleus. This analysis is motivated by the need of understanding the coupling between the two modes and how it might affect the extraction of the nuclear incompressibility from the monopole distribution. After discussing this motivation, we present the main ingredients of our theoretical framework, and we show some results obtained with the SLy4 and SkM…
Core-particle coupling models are made viable by assuming that core properties such as matrix elements of multipole and pairing operators and excitation spectra are known independently. From the completeness relation, it is seen, however, that these quantities are themselves algebraic functions of the calculated core-particle amplitudes. For the deformed rare-earth nucleus 158Gd, we find that these sum rules are well-satisfied for the ground state band, implying that we have found a self-consistent solution of the non-linear Kerman-Klein equations.
The collective yrast band of the nucleus $^{48}$Cr is studied using the spherical shell model and the HFB method. Both approaches produce basically the same axially symmetric intrinsic state up to the - accurately reproduced - observed backbending. Agreement between both calculations extends to most observables. The only significant discrepancy comes from the static moments of inertia and can be attributed to the need of a more refined treatment of pairing correlations in the HFB calculation.
The dependence of the transmission coefficient on the deformation, the collective rotation and excitation energy of the compound nucleus emitting light particles is introduced in the framework of Weißkopf's evaporation theory. The competition between fission and particle evaporation is treated by a~Langevin equation for the fission variable coupled to the emission process. Detailed calculations are presented on the decay of different Gd and Yb isotopes at an excitation energy of about 250~MeV. These calculations demonstrate the importance of the effects of nuclear deformation and of the initia…
Weakly-bound deformed nuclei have been studied by the Skyrme Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) approach in large coordinate-space boxes. In particular, the box-size dependence of the HFB calculations of weakly-bound deformed nuclei are investigated, including the particle density and pairing density distributions at nuclear surfaces, the near-threshold resonant and continuum quasiparticle spectra, and energetic properties. The box size may have larger influences in pairing properties than in other bulk properties. We demonstrate that large-box calculations of weakly-bound nuclei are important to p…
Protons and neutrons in the atomic nucleus move in shells analogous to the electronic shell structures of atoms. Nuclear shell structure varies across the nuclear landscape due to changes of the nuclear mean field with the number of neutrons $N$ and protons $Z$. These variations can be probed with mass differences. The $N=Z=40$ self-conjugate nucleus $^{80}$Zr is of particular interest as its proton and neutron shell structures are expected to be very similar, and its ground state is highly deformed. In this work, we provide evidence for the existence of a deformed double shell closure in $^{8…
Electron scattering methods, involving nucleus which have little or no intrinsic deformation suggest nucleon distribution to be of Fermi type. This distribution is further parameterised as Wood Saxon (WS) distribution, where an uniform charge density with smoothed-out surface have been implemented. Incorporating shape modification in WS, earlier attempts were made to explain observables in deformed nuclear collisions, such as charged particle multiplicity. In this work, we use an alternate approach known as Nilsson model or Modified Harmonic Oscillator (MHO), to explain charged particle multip…
Based on the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov solutions in large deformed coordinate spaces, the finite amplitude method for quasiparticle random phase approximation (FAM-QRPA) has been implemented, providing a suitable approach to probe collective excitations of weakly-bound nuclei embedded in the continuum. The monopole excitation modes in Magnesium isotopes up to the neutron drip line have been studied with the FAM-QRPA framework on both the coordinate-space and harmonic oscillator basis methods. Enhanced soft monopole strengths and collectivity as a result of weak-binding effects have been unambigu…
Experimental data on Coulomb breakup and neutron removal indicate that 31Ne is one of the heaviest halo nuclei discovered so far. The possible ground state of 31Ne is either 3/2- coming from p-wave halo or 1/2+ from s-wave halo. In this work, we develop a treatable model to include deformed wave functions and a dynamical knockout formalism which includes the dependence on the nuclear orientation to study the neutron removal from 31Ne projectiles at energies around E=200 MeV/nucleon. A detailed account of the effects of deformation on cross sections and longitudinal momentum distributions is ma…
We formulate a new scheme of the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov mean-field theory applicable to weakly bound and pair correlated deformed nuclei using the coordinate-space Green's function technique. On the basis of a coupled-channel representation of the quasiparticle wave function expanded in terms of the partial waves, we impose the correct boundary condition of the asymptotically out-going waves on the continuum quasiparticle states. We perform numerical analysis for $^{38}$Mg to illustrate properties of the continuum quasiparticle states and the pair correlation in deformed nuclei near the neutr…
A deformed relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in continuum has been developed for the study of neutron halos in deformed nuclei and the halo phenomenon in deformed weakly bound nuclei is investigated. Magnesium and neon isotopes are studied and some results are presented for the deformed neutron-rich and weakly bound nuclei 44Mg and 36Ne. The core of the former nucleus is prolate, but the halo has a slightly oblate shape. This indicates a decoupling of the halo orbitals from the deformation of the core. The generic conditions for the existence of halos in deformed nuclei and for the occurr…
We formulate a new Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov method applicable to weakly bound deformed nuclei using the coordinate-space Green's function technique. An emphasis is put on treatment of quasiparticle states in the continuum, on which we impose the correct boundary condition of the asymptotic out-going wave. We illustrate this method with numerical examples.
In heavy-ion fusion reactions involving a well deformed nucleus, one often assumes that the orientation of the target nucleus does not change during the reaction. We discuss the accuracy of this procedure by analyzing the excitation function of the fusion cross section and the fusion barrier distribution in the reactions of $^{154}$Sm target with various projectiles ranging from $^{12}$C to $^{40}$Ar. It is shown that the approximation gradually looses its accuracy with increasing charge product of the projectile and target nuclei because of the effects of finite excitation energy of the targe…
We study the exotic deformed nucleus $^{31}$Ne using an approach that combines self-consistent structure and reaction theory. We utilize the fully-relativistic, microscopic deformed Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in continuum (DRHBc) to demonstrate that deformation and pairing correlations give rise to a halo structure with large-amplitude $p$-wave configuration in $^{31}$Ne. We then use the valence nucleon wave functions and angle-averaged density distributions of $^{30}$Ne from this model as input for a Glauber reaction model to study the observables of neutron-rich Neon isotopes and search for h…
A deformed relativistic Hartree Bogoliubov (RHB) theory in continuum is developed aiming at a proper description of exotic nuclei, particularly those with a large spatial extension. In order to give an adequate consideration of both the contribution of the continuum and the large spatial distribution in exotic nuclei, the deformed RHB equations are solved in a Woods-Saxon (WS) basis in which the radial wave functions have a proper asymptotic behavior at large distance from the nuclear center. This is crucial for the proper description of a possible halo. The formalism of deformed RHB theory in…
A highly specialized two-center shell model has been developed accounting for the splitting of a deformed parent nucleus into two ellipsoidaly deformed fragments. The potential is based on deformed oscillator wells in direct correspondance with the shape change of the nuclear system. For the first time a potential responsible for the necking part between the fragments is introduced on potential theory basis. As a direct consequence, spin-orbit {\bf ls} and {\bf l$^2$} operators are calculated as shape dependent. Level scheme evolution along the fission path for pairs of ellipsoidaly deformed f…
The breakup of the radioactive 17F nucleus into a proton and 16O is studied for the reaction 17F + 208Pb --> p + 16O + 208Pb at 65 MeV/nucleon. The possibility of using this reaction as a test case for studying dynamical Coulomb reacceleration effects is assessed. It is shown that the reaction is dominated by elastic nuclear breakup (diffraction dissociation).
Halo phenomenon in deformed nuclei is studied by using a fully self-consistent deformed relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov model in a spherical Woods-Saxon basis with the proper asymptotic behavior at large distance from the nuclear center. Taking a deformed neutron-rich and weakly bound nucleus $^{44}$Mg as an example and by examining contributions of the halo, deformation effects, and large spatial extensions, we show a decoupling of the halo orbitals from the deformation of the core.
The fusion-by-diffusion model proposed by Swiatecki {\it et al.} [Phys. Rev. C71, 014602 (2005)] has provided a simple and convenient tool to estimate evaporation residue cross sections for superheavy nuclei. I extend this model by taking into account deformation of the target nucleus, and discuss the role of orientation of deformed target in hot fusion reactions at energies around the Coulomb barrier. To this end, I introduce an injection point for the diffusion process over an inner barrier which depends on the orientation angle. I apply this model to the $^{48}$Ca+$^{248}$Cm reaction and sh…
The deformed relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in continuum (DRHBc) has been proved one of the best models to probe the exotic structures in deformed nuclei. In DRHBc, the potentials and densities are expressed in terms of the multipole expansion with Legendre polynomials, the dependence on which has only been touched for light nuclei so far. In this paper, taking a light nucleus $^{20}$Ne and a heavy nucleus $^{242}$U as examples, we investigated the dependence on the multipole expansion of the potentials and densities in DRHBc. It is shown that the total energy converges well with the e…
The coordinate space formulation of the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) method enables self-consistent treatment of mean-field and pairing in weakly bound systems whose properties are affected by the particle continuum space. Of particular interest are neutron-rich, deformed drip-line nuclei which can exhibit novel properties associated with neutron skin. To describe such systems theoretically, we developed an accurate 2D lattice Skyrme-HFB solver {\hfbax} based on B-splines. Compared to previous implementations, we made a number of improvements aimed at boosting the solver's performance. These …
We present the first example of a rigorous uncertainty quantification on elastic Nucleus-Nucleus scattering at energies near the Coulomb barrier. Experimental data has been analyzed using an energy dependent effective optical model potential with physical constraints imposed. We confirm the compatibility of these uncertainties with the well known Coulomb threshold anomaly, explained in terms of a dispersive relation, and contrast our results with previous analyses that suggest otherwise.
Possible deformation of odd-N nuclei with N $\approx$ 28 towards the neutron drip line is investigated using the Nilsson diagram based on deformed Woods-Saxon potentials. Both weakly-bound and resonant one-particle levels are properly obtained by directly solving the Schrödinger equation in mesh of space coordinate with the correct boundary condition. If we use the same diffuseness of the potential as that of $β$-stable nuclei, the energy difference between the neutron 2p$_{3/2}$ and 1f$_{7/2}$ levels becomes very small or the N=28 energy gap almost disappears, as the binding energies of those…
Three- and four-cluster breakup reactions in the ${}^{16}$C-proton scattering are studied using three-body core-neutron-neutron model for ${}^{16}$C. Single-scattering approximation (SSA) of four-particle equations for transition operators is used to calculate three- and four-cluster breakup amplitudes at 200 and 300 MeV/nucleon energy near proton-neutron ($pn$) quasi free scattering (QFS) conditions. The differential cross section is sharply peaked at $pn$ QFS point and decreases rapidly whenever kinematical conditions deviate from $pn$ QFS. The accuracy of the SSA for the three-cluster break…
In this contribution we present some recent results about neutron halos in deformed nuclei. A deformed relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in continuum has been developed and the halo phenomenon in deformed weakly bound nuclei is investigated. These weakly bound quantum systems present interesting examples for the study of the interdependence between the deformation of the core and the particles in the halo. Magnesium and neon isotopes are studied and detailed results are presented for the deformed neutron-rich and weakly bound nuclei 42Mg. The core of this nucleus is prolate, but the halo …
Halo phenomena in deformed nuclei are investigated within a deformed relativistic Hartree Bogoliubov (DRHB) theory. These weakly bound quantum systems present interesting examples for the study of the interdependence between the deformation of the core and the particles in the halo. Contributions of the halo, deformation effects, and large spatial extensions of these systems are described in a fully self-consistent way by the DRHB equations in a spherical Woods-Saxon basis with the proper asymptotic behavior at large distance from the nuclear center. Magnesium and neon isotopes are studied and…
Using a hadron-string cascade model, JPCIAE, we study the effect of nuclear deformation on J/Psi suppression in the collision of uranium nuclei at 200A GeV/c. We find that the J/Psi survival probability is much smaller if the major axes of both deformed nuclei are along the beam direction than if they are perpendicular to the beam direction.
Inspired by the recently-reported strong electric-dipole (E1) transition between the weakly-bound first and second excited states, 3/2- at 765 keV and 1/2+ at 885 keV, in the nucleus 27Ne, the E1 transition is estimated in a model by properly taking into account the effect of both deformation and weakly-bound neutrons. In addition to both the spin-parities, 1/2+ and 3/2-, and observed nearly degenerate energies of the two excited states, the observed order of magnitude of the E1 transition strength between the two states is very naturally explained in the case that these two excited states are…
Excited states in the deformed nucleus $^{158}$Gd have been studied in the (p,t) reaction by using the Munich Tandem and Q3D spectrograph. 30 new excited 0$^+$ states (three tentative) have been assigned up to the 4.3 MeV excitation energy. The total number of 34 excited 0$^+$ states (four tentatively assigned) in a deformed nucleus, close to a complete level scheme, offers a new opportunity to test nuclear models and obtain more information on the structure of these special states.
The potential energy surfaces of even-even $^{146-156}$Sm are investigated in the constrained reflection-asymmetric relativistic mean-field approach with parameter set PK1. It is shown that the critical-point candidate nucleus $^{152}$Sm marks the shape/phase transition not only from U(5) to SU(3) symmetry, but also from the octupole-deformed ground state in $^{150}$Sm to the quadrupole-deformed ground state in $^{154}$Sm. By including the octupole degree of freedom, an energy gap near the Fermi surface for single-particle levels in $^{152}$Sm with $β_2 = 0.14 \sim 0.26$ is found, and the impo…
We outline a formalism to carry out TDHF calculations of fusion cross sections for spherical + deformed nuclei. The procedure incorporates the dynamic alignment of the deformed nucleus into the calculation of the fusion cross section. The alignment results from multiple E2/E4 Coulomb excitation of the ground state rotational band. Implications for TDHF fusion calculations are discussed. TDHF calculations are done in an unrestricted three-dimensional geometry using modern Skyrme force parametrizations.

Deformation properties of weakly bound nuclei are discussed in the deformed single-particle model. It is demonstrated that in the limit of a very small binding energy the valence particles in specific orbitals, characterized by a very small projection of single-particle angular momentum onto the symmetry axis of a nucleus, can give rise to the halo structure which is completely decoupled from the rest of the system. The quadrupole deformation of the resulting halo is completely determined by the intrinsic structure of a weakly bound orbital, irrespective of the shape of the core.
In order to clarify the nature of hypernuclear low-lying states, we carry out a comprehensive study for the structure of $^{144-154}_{~~~~~~~~Λ}$Sm-hypernuclei, which exhibit a transition from vibrational to rotational characters as the neutron number increases. To this end, we employ a microscopic particle-core coupling scheme based on a covariant density functional theory. We find that the positive-parity ground-state band in the hypernuclei shares a similar structure to that of the corresponding core nucleus. That is, regardless of whether the core nucleus is spherical or deformed, each hyp…
The coordinate-space Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) approach with quasiparticle blocking has been applied to study the odd-A weakly bound nuclei $^{17,19}$B and $^{37}$Mg, in which halo structures have been reported in experiments. The Skyrme nuclear forces SLy4 and UNEDF1 have been adopted in our calculations. The results with and without blocking have been compared to demonstrate the emergence of deformed halo structures due to blocking effects. In our calculations, $^{19}$B and $^{37}$Mg have remarkable features of deformed halos.
We investigate the deformation properties of atomic nuclei in a hadronic chiral SU_f(3) model approach. The parameters are fitted to hadron mass properties and adjustments for spherical finite nuclei have been performed. Using these parameters the deformation of a series of light and heavy nuclei are obtained in a two-dimensional self-consistent calculation. In addition we discuss a case of superdeformation in a heavy nucleus.
It has been debated whether the experimentally-identified superdeformed rotational band in $^{40}$Ar [E. Ideguchi, et al., Phys. Lett. B 686 (2010) 18] has an axially or triaxially deformed shape. Projected shell model calculations with angular-momentum-projection using an axially-deformed basis are performed up to high spins. Our calculated energy levels indicate a perfect collective-rotor behavior for the superdeformed yrast band. However, detailed analysis of the wave functions reveals that the high-spin structure is dominated by mixed 0-, 2-, and 4-quasiparticle configurations. The calcula…
We investigate the azimuthal anisotropy $v_2$ of particle production in nucleus-nucleus collisions in the maximum entropy approach. This necessitates two new phenomenological input parameters $δ$ and $λ_2$ compared with integrated multiplicity distributions. The parameter $δ$ describes the deformation of a flux tube and can be theoretically calculated in a bag model with a bag constant which depends on the density of surrounding flux tubes. The parameter $λ_2$ defines the anisotropy of the particle distribution in momentum space and can be connected to $δ$ via the uncertainty relation. In this…
Background: Quasifission is the main reaction channel hindering the formation of superheavy nuclei (SHN). Its understanding will help to optimize entrance channels for SHN studies. Quasifission also provides a probe to understand the influence of shell effects in the formation of the fragments. Purpose: Investigate the role of shell effects in quasifission and their interplay with the orientation of the deformed target in the entrance channel. Methods: $^{48}$Ca$+^{249}$Bk collisions are studied with the time-dependent Hartree-Fock approach for a range of angular momenta and orientations. Resu…
A novel method to extract the $B(E1)$ strength of a weakly bound nucleus from experimental Coulomb dissociation data is proposed. The method makes use of continuum discretized coupled channels (CDCC) calculations, in which both nuclear and Coulomb forces are taken into account to all orders. This is a crucial advantage with respect to the standard procedure based on the Equivalent Photon Method (EPM) which does not properly take into account nuclear distortion, higher order coupling effects, or Coulomb-nuclear interference terms. The procedure is applied to the $^{11}$Be nucleus using two sets…
We propose a new method to solve the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov equations for weakly bound nuclei, which works for both spherical and axially deformed cases. In this approach, the quasiparticle wave functions are expanded in a complete set of analytical Poschl-Teller-Ginocchio and Bessel/Coulomb wave functions. Correct asymptotic properties of the quasiparticle wave functions are endowed in the proposed algorithm. Good agreement is obtained with the results of the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov calculation using the box boundary condition for a set of benchmark spherical and deformed nuclei.
Shell structure of low-lying neutron resonant levels in axially-symmetric quadrupole-deformed potentials is discussed, which seems analogous to that of weakly-bound neutrons. As numerical examples, nuclei slightly outside the neutron-drip-line, $^{39}_{12}$Mg$_{27}$ and $^{21}_{6}$C$_{15}$, are studied. For the lowest resonance I obtain $I^π$ = $Ω^π$ = 5/2$^{-}$ for $^{39}$Mg which is likely to be prolately deformed, while $I^π$ = $Ω^π$ = 1/2$^{+}$ may be assigned to the nucleus $^{21}$C which may be oblately deformed. Consequently, $^{21}$C will not be observed as a recognizable resonant stat…
Deviation from the I(I+1) rule in the even-even isotopes 62Sm, 64Gd, 66Dy, 68Er, 70Y b, 72Hf, 74W and 76Os nuclei have been studied with a new approach based on the idea that the rotational nucleus being stretched out along the symmetry axis, where such stretching is treated according to quantum mechanics. This approach led to a new formula that describes the dependence of the moment of inertia on the angular momentum, and such formula works well for all even-even nuclei in the actinide and rare-earth region in the range 2.9<R<3.3. The calculations were carried out with the stretched model whe…
Examples of the change of neutron shell-structure in both weakly-bound and resonant neutron one-particle levels in nuclei towards the neutron drip line are exhibited. It is shown that the shell-structure change due to the weak binding may lead to the deformation of those nuclei with the neutron numbers $N \approx$ 8, 20, 28 and 40, which are known to be magic numbers in stable nuclei. Nuclei in the "island of inversion" are most easily and in a simple manner understood in terms of deformation. As an example of spectroscopic properties other than single-particle energies, magnetic moments of so…
Boson creation operators constructed from linear combinations of q- deformed zero coupled nucleon pair operators acting on the nucleus (A,0), are used to derive pp-RPA equations. The solutions of these equations are the pairing vibrations in (A${\underline{+}}$2) nuclei. For the $0^+_1$ and $0^+_2$ states of the nucleus $^{208}$Pb, the variations of relative energies and transfer cross-sections for populating these states via (t,p) reaction, with deformation parameter $τ$ have been analysed. For $τ=0.405$ the experimental excitation energy of 4.87MeV and the ratio $\frac{σ(0^+_2) }{σ(0^+_1)}=0…
