In this paper, we investigate the Bohr phenomenon for the class of analytic functions defined on the simply connected domain
\begin{equation*}
Ω_γ=\bigg\{z\in\mathbb{C} : \bigg|z+\fracγ{1-γ}\bigg|<\frac{1}{1-γ}\bigg\}\;\; \text{for}\;\; 0\leq γ<1.
\end{equation*} We study improved Bohr radius, Bohr-Rogosinski radius and refined Bohr radius for the class of analytic functions defined in $ Ω_γ $, and obtain several sharp results.
In this article, we study the Bohr type inequality for {C}esáro operator and {B}ernardi integral operator acting on the space of analytic functions defined on a simply connected domain containing the unit disk $\mathbb{D}$.
In this paper, we study the Bohr phenomenon for functions that are defined on a general simply connected domain of the complex plane. We improve known results of R. Fournier and St. Ruscheweyh for a class of analytic functions. Furthermore, we examine the case where a harmonic mapping is defined in a disk containing $\mathbb{D}$ and obtain a Bohr type inequality.
Bohr's classical theorem and its generalizations are now active areas of research and have been the source of investigations in numerous function spaces. In this article, we study a generalized Bohr's inequality for the class of bounded analytic functions defined on the simply connected domain $$ Ω_γ:=\bigg\{z\in \mathbb{C}: \bigg|z+\fracγ{1-γ}\bigg|<\frac{1}{1-γ}\bigg\}, \,\ \text{for } 0\leq γ<1. $$ Part of its applications, we calculate the Bohr-type radii for some known integral operators.
Let $ \mathcal{H}(\mathbb{D}) $ be the class of analytic functions in the unit disk $ \mathbb{D} : =\{z\in\mathbb{C} : |z|<1\} $. The classical Bohr's inequality states that if a power series $ f(z)=\sum_{n=0}^{\infty}a_nz^n $ converges in $ \mathbb{D} $ and $ |f(z)|<1 $ for $ z\in\mathbb{D} $, then \begin{equation*} \sum_{n=0}^{\infty}|a_n|r^n\leq 1\;\;\mbox{for}\;\; r\leq \frac{1}{3} \end{equation*} and the constant $ 1/3 $ cannot be improved. The constant $ 1/3 $ is known as Bohr radius. In this paper, we study Bohr phenomenon for analytic as well as harmonic mappings on simply connected do…
In this paper, we generalize the Bohr-Rogosinski sum for the Ma-Minda classes of starlike and convex functions. Also the phenomenon is studied for the classes of starlike functions with respect to symmetric points and conjugate points along with their convex cases. Further, the connection between the derived results and the known ones are established with the suitable examples.
This paper examines the coefficient problems for the class of semigroup generators, a topic in complex dynamics that has recently been studied in context of geometric function theory. Further, sharp bounds of coefficient functional such as second order Hankel determinant, third order Toeplitz and Hermitian-Toeplitz determinants are derived. Additionally, the sharp growth estimates and the bounds of difference of successive coefficients are determined, which are used to prove the Bohr and the Bohr-Rogosinski phenomenon for the class of semigroup generators.
In 1914 Bohr proved that there is an $r_0 \in(0,1)$ such that if a power series $\sum_{m=0}^\infty c_m z^m$ is convergent in the open unit disc and $|\sum_{m=0}^\infty c_m z^m|<1$ then, $\sum_{m=0}^\infty |c_m z^m|<1$ for $|z|<r_0$. The largest value of such $r_0$ is called the Bohr radius. In this article, we find Bohr radius for some univalent harmonic mappings having different dilatations and in addition, also compute Bohr radius for the functions convex in one direction.
Recently the present authors established refined versions of Bohr's inequality in the case of bounded analytic functions. In this article, we state and prove a generalization of these results in a reformulated "distance form" version and thereby we extend the refined versions of the Bohr inequality for the class of the quasi-subordinations which contains both the classes of majorization and subordination as special cases. As a consequence, we obtain several new results.
In Geometric function theory, occasionally attempts have been made to solve a particular problem for the Ma-Minda classes, $\mathcal{S}^*(ψ)$ and $\mathcal{C}(ψ)$ of univalent starlike and convex functions, respectively. Recently, a popular radius problem generally known as Bohr's phenomenon has been studied in various settings, however little is known about Rogosinski radius. In this article, for a fixed $f\in \mathcal{S}^*(ψ)$ or $\mathcal{C}(ψ),$ the class of analytic subordinants $S_{f}(ψ):= \{g : g\prec f \} $ is studied for the Bohr-Rogosinski phenomenon in a general setting. It's applic…
The Bohr theorem states that any function $f(z) = \sum_{n=0}^{\infty} a_{n} z^{n}$, analytic and bounded in the open unit disk, obeys the inequality $\sum_{n=0}^{\infty} |a_{n}| |z|^{n} < 1$ in the open disk of radius 1/3, the so-called Bohr radius. Moreover, the value 1/$ cannot be improved. In this paper we review some results related to this theorem for the three-dimensional Euclidean space in the setting of quaternionic analysis. The existing results for the Bohr radius will be improved and also some estimates for the hypercomplex derivative of a monogenic function by the norm of the funct…
In this article we prove Bohr inequalities for sense-preserving $K$-quasiconformal harmonic mappings defined in $\mathbb{D}$ and obtain the corresponding results for sense-preserving harmonic mappings by letting $K\to\infty$. One of the results includes the sharpened version of a theorem by Kayumov $\textit{et. al.}$ ($\textit{Math. Nachr.}$, 291 (2018), no. 11--12, 1757--1768). In addition Bohr inequalities have been established for uniformly locally univalent holomorphic functions, and for $\log(f(z)/z)$ where $f$ is univalent or inverse of a univalent function.
In this article, we establish the Bohr inequalities for the sense-preserving $K$-quasiconformal harmonic mappings defined in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ involving classes of Ma-Minda starlike and convex univalent functions, usually denoted by $\mathcal{S}^*(ψ)$ and $\mathcal{C}(ψ)$ respectively, and for $\log (f(z)/z)$ where $f$ belongs to the Ma-Minda classes or satisfies certain differential subordination. We also estimate Logarithmic coefficient's bounds for the functions in $\mathcal{C}(ψ)$ for the case $ψ(\mathbb{D})$ be convex.
In this paper, we investigate the Bohr radius for $K$-quasiregular sense-preserving harmonic mappings $f=h+\overline{g}$ in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ such that the translated analytic part $h(z)-h(0)$ is quasi-subordinate to some analytic function. The main aim of this article is to extend and to establish sharp versions of four recent theorems by Liu and Ponnusamy \cite{LP2019} and, in particular, we settle affirmatively the two conjectures proposed by them. Furthermore, we establish two refined versions of Bohr's inequalities and determine the Bohr radius for the derivatives of analytic fun…
We prove the following generalisation of Bohr theorem : let $K\subset\mathbb C$ a continuum, $(F_n)_n$ its Faber polynomials, $Ω_R=\{Φ_K<R\}, (R>1)$ the levels sets of the Green function; then there exists $R_0>1$ such that for any $f=\sum_n a_n F_n\in\mathscr O(Ω_{R_0})$ : $f(Ω_{R_0})\subset D(0,1)$ implies $\sum_n|a_n|\cdot|F_n|_K<1$.
Bohr phenomenon for analytic functions $ f $ where $ f(z)=\sum_{n=0}^{\infty}a_nz^n $, first introduced by Harald Bohr in $ 1914 $, deals with finding the largest radius $ r_f $, $ 0<r_f<1 $, such that the inequality $ \sum_{n=0}^{\infty}|a_nz^n|<1 $ holds whenever $ |f(z)|<1 $ holds in the unit disk $ \mathbb{D}=\{z\in\mathbb{C} : |z|<1\} $. The Bohr phenomenon for the harmonic functions of the form $ f(z)=h+\overline{g} $, where $ h(z)=\sum_{n=0}^{\infty}a_nz^n $ and $ g(z)=\sum_{n=1}^{\infty}b_nz^n $ is to find the largest radius $ r_f $, $ 0<r_f<1 $ such that \begin{equation*} \sum_{n=1}^{…
The Bohr phenomenon for analytic functions of the form $f(z)=\sum_{n=0}^{\infty} a_{n}z^{n}$, first introduced by Harald Bohr in 1914, deals with finding the largest radius $r_{f}$, $0<r_{f}<1$, such that the inequality $\sum_{n=0}^{\infty} |a_{n}z^{n}| \leq 1$ holds whenever the inequality $|f(z)|\leq 1 $ holds in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}=\{z \in \mathbb{C}: |z|<1\}$. The exact value of this largest radius known as Bohr radius, which has been established to be $r_{f}=1/3$. The Bohr phenomenon \cite{Abu-2010} for harmonic functions $f$ of the form $f(z)=h(z)+\overline {g(z)}$, where $h(z)=\su…
We explore the Bohr inequality involving the Fourier transforms of complex valued integrable and square integrable functions defined on a second countable compact topological group. We also investigate the connection of the Bohr phenomenon with a modulus of convexity of the space of bounded linear operators defined on a complex Hilbert space.
The main goal of this paper is to generalize Bohr's phenomenon from complex one-dimensional analysis to higher dimensions in the framework of Quaternionic Analysis.
The purpose of this article is to study Bohr inequalities involving the absolute values of the coefficients of an operator valued function. To be more specific, we establish an operator valued analogue of a classical result regarding the Bohr phenomenon for scalar valued functions with fixed initial coefficient. Apart from that, operator valued versions of other related and well known results are obtained.
In this article we establish Bohr inequalities for operator valued functions, which can be viewed as the analogues of a couple of interesting results from scalar valued settings. Some results of this paper are motivated by the classical flavor of Bohr inequality, while the others are based on a generalized concept of the Bohr radius problem.
In this article, we introduce the class $\mathcal{B}^{*}_{\mathcal{H},Ω}(α)$ of harmonic $α$-Bloch-type mappings on $Ω$ as a generalization of the class $\mathcal{B}_{\mathcal{H},Ω}(α)$ of harmonic $α$-Bloch mappings on $Ω$, where $Ω$ is arbitrary proper simply connected domain in the complex plane. We study several interesting properties of the classes $\mathcal{B}_{\mathcal{H},Ω}(α)$ and $\mathcal{B}^{*}_{\mathcal{H},Ω}(α)$ on arbitrary proper simply connected domain $Ω$ and on the shifted disk $Ω_γ$ containing $\mathbb{D}$, where $$ Ω_γ:=\bigg\{z\in\mathbb{C} : \bigg|z+\fracγ{1-γ}\bigg|<\fr…
Special Bohr - Sommerfeld geometry, first formulated for simply connected symplectic manifolds (or for simple connected algebraic varieties), gives rise to some natural problems for the simplest example in non simply connected case. Namely for any algebraic curve one can define a correspondence between holomorphic differentials and certain finite graphs. Here we ask some natural questions appear with this correspondence. It is a partial answer to the question of A. Varchenko about possibility of applications of Special Bohr -Sommerfeld geometry in non simply connected case. The russian version…
We say that a class $\mathcal{F}$ consisting of analytic functions $f(z)=\sum_{n=0}^{\infty} a_{n}z^{n}$ in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}:=\{z\in \mathbb{C}: |z|<1\}$ satisfies a Bohr phenomenon if there exists $r_{f} \in (0,1)$ such that $$ \sum_{n=1}^{\infty} |a_{n}z^{n}|\leq d(f(0),\partial f(\mathbb{D})) $$ for every function $f \in \mathcal{F}$ and $|z|=r\leq r_{f}$, where $d$ is the Euclidean distance. The largest radius $r_{f}$ is the Bohr radius for the class $\mathcal{F}$. In this paper, we establish the Bohr phenomenon for the classes consisting of Ma-Minda type starlike functions and Ma…
In this paper, we generalize and investigate Bohr-Rogosinski's inequalities and the Bohr-Rogosinski phenomenon for the subfamilies of univalent (i.e., one-to-one) functions defined on unit disk $\mathbb{D}:=\{z\in \mathbb{C}:|z|<1 \}$ which maps to the concave domain, i.e., the domain whose complement is a convex set. All the results are proved to be sharp.
There are a number of articles which deal with Bohr's phenomenon whereas only a few papers appeared in the literature on Rogosinski's radii for analytic functions defined on the unit disk $|z|<1$. In this article, we introduce and investigate Bohr-Rogosinski's radii for analytic functions defined for $|z|<1$. Also, we prove several different improved versions of the classical Bohr's inequality. Finally, we also discuss the Bohr-Rogosinski's radius for a class of subordinations. All the results are proved to be sharp.
The concept of Bohr radius for the class of bounded analytic functions was introduced by Harald Bohr in 1914. His initial result received greater interest and was sharpened-refined-generalized by several mathematicians in various settings--which is now called Bohr phenomenon. Various generalization of Bohr's classical theorem is now an active area of research and has been a source of investigation in numerous other function spaces and including holomorphic functions of several complex variables. Recently, a new generalization of Bohr's ideas was introduced and investigated by Kayumov et al.. I…
In this paper, we introduce the study of the Bohr phenomenon for a quasi-subordination family of functions, and establish the classical Bohr's inequality for the class of quasisubordinate functions. As a consequence, we improve and obtain the exact version of the classical Bohr's inequality for bounded analytic functions and also for $K$-quasiconformal harmonic mappings by replacing the constant term by the absolute value of the analytic part of the given function. We also obtain the Bohr radius for the subordination family of odd analytic functions.
Recently, there has been a number of good deal of research on the Bohr's phenomenon in various setting including a refined formulation of his classical version of the inequality. Among them, in \cite{PaulPopeSingh-02-10} the authors considered the cases in which the above functions have a multiple zero at the origin. In this article, we present a refined version of Bohr's inequality for these cases and give a partial answer to a question from \cite{PaulPopeSingh-02-10} for the revised setting.
The Bohr inequality, first introduced by Harald Bohr in 1914, deals with finding the largest radius $r$, $0<r<1$, such that $\sum_{n=0}^\infty |a_n|r^n \leq 1$ holds whenever $|\sum_{n=0}^\infty a_nz^n|\leq 1$ in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ of the complex plane. The exact value of this largest radius, known as the \emph{Bohr radius}, has been established to be $1/3.$ This paper surveys recent advances and generalizations on the Bohr inequality. It discusses the Bohr radius for certain power series in $\mathbb{D},$ as well as for analytic functions from $\mathbb{D}$ into particular domains. Thes…
A class $ \mathcal{F} $ consisting of analytic functions $ f(z)=\sum_{n=0}^{\infty}a_nz^n $ in the unit disc $ \mathbb{D}=\{z\in\mathbb{C}:|z|<1\} $ satisfies a Bohr phenomenon if there exists an $ r_f>0 $ such that \begin{equation*} I_f(r):=\sum_{n=1}^{\infty}|a_n|r^n\leq{d}\left(f(0),\partial \mathbb{D}\right) \end{equation*} for every function $ f\in\mathcal{F} $, and $ |z|=r\leq r_f $. The largest radius $ r_f $ is the Bohr radius and the inequality $ I_f(r)\leq{d}\left(f(0),\partial \mathbb{D}\right) $ is Bohr inequality for the class $ \mathcal{F} $, where `$ d $' is the Euclidean distan…
We investigate the non-univalent function's properties reminiscent of the theory of univalent starlike functions. Let the analytic function $ψ(z)=\sum_{i=1}^{\infty}A_i z^i$, $A_1\neq0$ be univalent in the unit disk. Non-univalent functions may be found in the class $\mathcal{F}(ψ)$ of analytic functions $f$ of the form $f(z)=z+\sum_{k=2}^{\infty}a_k z^k$ satisfying $({zf'(z)}/{f(z)}-1) \prec ψ(z)$. Such functions, like the Ma and Minda classes of starlike functions, also have nice geometric properties. For these functions, growth and distortion theorems have been established. Further, we obta…
In this article we show that extendability from one side of a simple analytic curve is a rare phenomenon in the topological sense in various spaces of functions. Our result can be proven using Fourier methods combined with other facts or by complex analytic methods and a comparison of the two methods is possible.
In this article we prove a general result which in particular suggests that, on a simply connected domain in C, all the derivatives and anti-derivatives of the generic holomorphic function are unbounded. A similar result holds for the operator of partial sums of the Taylor expansion with center z at 0, seen as functions of the center z. We also discuss a universality result of these operators.
We deal with different kinds of generalizations of $\mathcal{S}^*(ψ)$, the class of Ma-Minda starlike functions, in addition to a majorization result of $\mathcal{C}(ψ),$ the class of Ma-Minda convex functions, which are enlisted as follows: 1. Let $h$ be an analytic function, $f$ be in $\mathcal{C}(ψ)$ and $h$ be majorized by $f$ in the unit disk $\mathbb{D},$ then for a given $ψ,$ we derive a general equation, which yields the radius constant $r_ψ$ such that $|h'(z)|\leq |f'(z)|$ in $|z|\leq r_ψ$. Consequently, obtain results associating $\mathcal{S}^*(ψ)$ and others. 2. We find the largest …
In a holomorphic family $(X_b)_{b\in B}$ of non-Kählerian compact manifolds, the holomorphic curves representing a fixed 2-homology class do not form a proper family in general. The deep source of this fundamental difficulty in non-Kähler geometry is the {\it explosion of the area} phenomenon: the area of a curve $C_b\subset X_b$ in a fixed 2-homology class can diverge as $b\to b_0$. This phenomenon occurs frequently in the deformation theory of class VII surfaces. For instance it is well known that any minimal GSS surface $X_0$ is a degeneration of a 1-parameter family of simply blown up prim…
