We construct the gravitating mass of an isolated composite system on asymptotically-flat spacetimes within conventional general relativity and investigate when this quantity is well defined. For stationary spacetimes, this quantity is known to exactly equal the physical (ADM) mass. However, it remains an open question whether these two masses are equal in the absence of a timelike Killing vector. This is especially apropos since our universe has an `origin' and hence no such Killing vector. Further, if these masses failed to agree then composite systems could behave as if they had a `dark component,' whose gravitating mass would not equal the physical mass-energy present. The existence of such an apparent discrepancy is indeed ubiquitous in galaxies and galaxy clusters, though currently it is attributed to the presence of dark matter. We conclude that the theoretical question of the relation between these masses for dynamical spacetimes is ripe for attention.
The phenomenon of dark energy and its manifestations are studied in a spherically symmetric universe considering the Brans-Dicke scalar tensor theory. In the first model the dark energy behaves like a phantom type and in such a universe the existence of negative time is validated with an indication that our universe started its evolution before $t=0$. Dark energy prevalent in this universe is found to be more active at times when other types of energies remain passive. The second model universe begins with big bang. On the other hand the dark energy prevalent in the third model is found to be …
In this work we explore a Holographic Dark Energy Model in a flat Friedmann-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker Universe, which contains baryons, radiation, cold dark matter and dark energy within the framework of General Relativity. Furthermore, we consider three types of phenomenological interactions in the dark sector. With the proposed model we obtained the algebraic expressions for the cosmological parameters of our interest: the deceleration and coincidence parameters. Likewise, we graphically compare the proposed model with the $Λ$CDM model.
In our present work, we study the evolution of the universe by assuming an interacting dark energy model, where dark energy interacts with matter. Basing on this model, first we calculated the dark energy density parameter and using this we have picturised the expansion of the universe. From our analysis, we found that presently observed accelerated expansion of the universe can be explained by interacting model, if the dark energy is quintessence type. Though equation of sate parameter of dark energy $γ_ϕ$ for quintessence varies between $0$ and $-1$, our results predict that accelearted expa…
We investigate the impact of the generalized uncertainty principle proposed by some approaches to quantum gravity such as string theory and doubly special relativity on the cosmology. Using generalized Poisson brackets, we obtain the modified Friedmann and Raychaudhuri equations and suggest a dynamical dark energy to explain the late time acceleration of the Universe. After considering the interaction between dark matter and dark energy, originated from the minimal length, we obtain the effective cosmological parameters and equation of state parameter for dark matter and dark energy. Finally, …
In this paper we analyze the Dark Matter problem and the distribution of matter through two different approaches, which are linked by the possibility that the solution of these astronomical puzzles should be sought in the quantum imprinting of the Universe. The first approach is based on a cosmological model formulated and developed in the last ten years by the first and third authors of this paper; the so-called Archaic Universe. The second approach was formulated by Rosen in 1933 by considering the Friedmann-Einstein equations as a simple one-dimensional dynamical system reducing the cosmolo…
Rényi Holographic Dark Energy (RHDE) Models has been studied in different dimensions considering a flat FRW metric, subsequently exploring the nature of evolution of different cosmological parameters. It is seen that the number of dimensions affect the evolution of the cosmological parameters and the transition of the universe from decelerating to accelerating phase. The statefinder diagnosis has been performed and it is seen that the model corresponds to the $ΛCDM$ model for the present and future universe.
In this paper, we have presented a model of the FLRW universe filled with matter and dark energy fluids, by assuming an ansatz that deceleration parameter is a linear function of the Hubble constant. This results in a time-dependent DP having decelerating-accelerating transition phase of the universe. This is a quintessence model $ω_{(de)}\geq -1$. The quintessence phase remains for the period $(0 \leq z \leq 0.5806)$. The model is shown to satisfy current observational constraints. Various cosmological parameters relating to the history of the universe have been investigated.
We have developed an accelerating cosmological model for the present universe which is phantom for the period $ (0 \leq z \leq 1.99)$ and quintessence phase for $(1.99 \leq z \leq 2.0315)$. The universe is assumed to be filled with barotropic and dark energy(DE) perfect fluid in which DE interact with matter. For a deceleration parameter(DP) having decelerating-accelerating transition phase of universe, we assume hybrid expansion law for scale factor. The transition red shift for the model is obtained as $z_t = 0.956$. The model satisfies current observational constraints.
Integrability conditions arising from general irrotational fluid-flow considerations of a universe dominated by cosmic dark fluids will be investigated under special assumptions on the nature of the spacetime shear. Special emphasis will be placed on linearized perturbations of quasi-Newtonian and anti-Newtonian spacetimes, whereby the conditions for the existence and consistent evolution of such spacetimes in the presence of the Chaplygin gas fluid model will be derived and discussed.

Main aim of this work is to give a suitable explanation of present accelerating universe through an acceptable interactive dynamical cosmological model. A three-fluid cosmological model is introduced in the background of Friedmann-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker asymptotically flat spacetime. This model consists of interactive dark matter and dark energy with baryonic matter taken as perfect fluid satisfying barotropic equation of state. We consider dust as the candidate of dark matter. A scalar field $ϕ$ represents dark energy with potential $V(ϕ)$. Einstein's field equations are utilised to constr…
