We discretise the Lax pair for the reduced Nahm systems and prove its equivalence with the Kahan-Hirota-Kimura discretisation procedure. We show that these Lax pairs guarantee the integrability of the discrete reduced Nahm systems providing an invariant. Also, we show with an example that Nahm systems cannot solve the general problem of characterisation of the integrability for Kahan-Hirota-Kimura discretisations.
In this paper, we provide a comprehensive method for constructing Lax pairs of discrete Painlevé equations by using a reduced hypercube structure. In particular, we consider the $A_5^{(1)}$-surface $q$-Painlevé system which has the affine Weyl group symmetry of type $(A_2+A_1)^{(1)}$. Two new Lax pairs are found.
There are a few Lax matrices of the Clebsch system. Poles of the Baker-Akhiezer function determine the class of equivalent divisors on the corresponding spectral curves. According to the Riemann-Roch theorem, each class has a unique reduced representative. We discuss properties of such reduced divisor on the spectral curve of $3\times 3$ Lax matrix having a natural generalization to $gl^*(n)$ case.
The system of two nonlinear coupled oscillators is studied. As partial case this system of equation is reduced to the Duffing oscillator which has many applications for describing physical processes. It is well known that the inverse scattering transform is one of the most powerful methods for solving the Cauchy problems of partial differential equations. To solve the Cauchy problem for nonlinear differential equations we can use the Lax pair corresponding to this equation. The Lax pair for ordinary differential or systems or for system ordinary differential equations allows us to find the fir…
In the present paper, we propose a two-component generalization of the reduced Ostrovsky equation, whose differential form can be viewed as the short-wave limit of a two-component Degasperis-Procesi (DP) equation. They are integrable due to the existence of Lax pairs. Moreover, we have shown that two-component reduced Ostrovsky equation can be reduced from an extended BKP hierarchy with negative flow through a pseudo 3-reduction and a hodograph (reciprocal) transform. As a by-product, its bilinear form and $N$-soliton solution in terms of pfaffians are presented. One- and two-soliton solutions…
Beta-ensembles of random matrices are naturally considered as quantum integrable systems, in particular, due to their relation with conformal field theory, and more recently appeared connection with quantized Painlevé Hamiltonians. Here we demonstrate that, at least for {\it even integer} beta, these systems are classically integrable, e.g. there are Lax pairs associated with them, which we explicitly construct. To come to the result, we show that a solution of every Fokker-Planck equation in one space (and one time) dimensions can be considered as a component of an eigenvector of a Lax pair. …
An integrable two-component nonlinear Schrödinger equation in $2+1$ dimensions is presented. The singular manifold method is applied in order to obtain a three-component Lax pair. The Lie point symmetries of this Lax pair are calculated in terms of nine arbitrary functions and one arbitrary constant that yield a non-trivial infinite-dimensional Lie algebra. The main non-trivial similarity reductions associated to these symmetries are identified. The spectral parameter of the reduced spectral problem appears as a consequence of one of the symmetries.
