Assuming the Riemann hypothesis, we prove that $$ N_k(T) = \frac{T}{2π}\log \frac{T}{4πe} + O_k\left(\frac{\log{T}}{\log\log{T}}\right), $$ where $N_k(T)$ is the number of zeros of $ζ^{(k)}(s)$ in the region $0<\Im s\le T$. We further apply our method and obtain a zero counting formula for the derivative of Selberg zeta functions, improving earlier work of Luo.
We numerically investigate, for zeros $ρ=1/2+iγ$, the statistics of the imaginary part of $\log(ζ^\prime(1/2+iγ))$, computed by continuous variation along a vertical line from $σ=4$ to $4+iγ$ and then along a horizontal line to $1/2+iγ$.
In this note, we prove Selberg's announced result on $r$-gaps between zeros of the Riemann zeta-function $ζ$. Our proof uses a result on variations of $\argζ$ by Tsang based on Selberg's method. The same result with explicit constants under the Riemann Hypothesis has been obtained by Conrey and Turnage-Butterbaugh using a different method. We explain how to obtain explicit constants under the Riemann Hypothesis using our approach which is based on Selberg's and Tsang's arguments.
Given a function $f(n)$ periodic of period $q\geq 1$ and an irrational number $0<α\leq 1$, Chatterjee and Gun proved that the series $F(s,f,α)=\sum_{n=0}^{\infty}\frac{f(n)}{(n+α)^s}$ has infinitely many zeros for $σ>1$ when $α$ is transcendental and $F(s,f,α)$ has a pole at $s=1$, or when $α$ is algebraic irrational and $c=\frac{\max{f(n)}}{\min{f(n)}}<1.15$. In this note, we prove that the result holds in full generality.
Let $χ$ be a real and non-principal Dirichlet character, $L(s,χ)$ its Dirichlet $L$-function and let $p$ be a generic prime number. We prove the following result: If for some $0\leq σ<1$ the partial sums $\sum_{p\leq x}χ(p)p^{-σ}$ change sign only for a finite number of $x$, then there exists $ε>0$ such that $L(s,χ)$ has no zeros in the half plane $Re(s)>1-ε$.
Evidence of an algebraic/analytic structure of the Riemann Spectrum, consisting of the imaginary parts of the corresponding zeros, is reviewed, with emphasis on the distribution of the image of the primes under the Cramer characters $X_p(t)=p^{it}$. The duality between primes and Riemann zeros, expressed traditionally as the Riemann-Mangoldt exact equation, is further used to investigate from a statistical point of view, the correspondence between the POSet structure of prime numbers and this yet unknown structure of R-Spec. Specifically, the statistical correlation coefficient $c(p,q)=<X_p,X_…
Assuming the Riemann Hypothesis, we improve on previous results by proving there are infinitely many zeros of the Riemann zeta-function whose differences are smaller than 0.50412 times the average spacing. To obtain this result, we generalize a set of weights that were developed by Xiaosheng Wu, who used them to find a positive proportion of large and small gaps between zeros of the Riemann zeta-function.
In this paper, we review the study of the distribution of the zeros of certain approximations for the Ramanujan $Ξ-$function given by Haseo Ki, and we provide a new proof of his results. Our approach is motivated by the ideas of Velásquez in the study of the zeros of certain sums of entire functions with some condition of stability related to the Hermite-Biehler theorem.
This paper is devoted to conditions defined in terms of the generalized shift operator for a rational number to be representable by certain positive generalizations of $q$-ary expansions.
