Let $ϕ$ be a normalized convex function defined on open unit disk $\mathbb{D}$. For a unified class of normalized analytic functions which satisfy the second order differential subordination $f'(z)+ αz f''(z) \prec ϕ(z)$ for all $z\in \mathbb{D}$, we investigate the distortion theorem and growth theorem. Further, the bounds on initial logarithmic coefficients, inverse coefficient and the second Hankel determinant involving the inverse coefficients are examined.
We establish the membership criteria in terms of Hadamard product for a normalized analytic function to be in the class of infinitesimal generators. Furthermore, the embedding of various subclasses of normalized univalent functions in the class of infinitesimal generators and the radii problems for this class are studied. The results derived, generalize the already known results.
Let $q_1$ and $q_2$ belong to a certain class of normalized analytic univalent functions in the open unit disk of the complex plane. Sufficient conditions are obtained for normalized analytic functions $p$ to satisfy the double subordination chain $q_1(z)\prec p(z)\prec q_2(z)$. The differential sandwich-type result obtained is applied to normalized univalent functions and to $Φ$-like functions.
We consider three classes of functions defined using the class $\mathcal{P}$ of all analytic functions $p(z)=1+cz+\dotsb$ on the open unit disk having positive real part and study several radius problems for these classes. The first class consists of all normalized analytic functions $f$ with $f/g\in\mathcal{P}$ and $g/(zp)\in\mathcal{P}$ for some normalized analytic function $g$ and $p\in \mathcal{P}$. The second class is defined by replacing the condition $f/g\in\mathcal{P}$ by $|(f/g)-1|<1$ while the other class consists of normalized analytic functions $f$ with $f/(zp)\in\mathcal{P}$ for s…
In this article, we wish to establish some first order differential subordination relations for certain Carathéodory functions with nice geometrical properties. Moreover, several implications are determined so that the normalized analytic function belongs to various subclasses of starlike functions.
Estimates are obtained for the initial coefficients of a normalized analytic function $f$ in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ such that $f$ and the analytic extension of $f^{-1}$ to $\mathbb{D}$ belong to certain subclasses of univalent functions. The bounds obtained improve some existing known bounds.
In this note we give some sufficient conditions for an analytic function $f(z)$ normalized by $f'(0)=1$ to belong to certain subfamilies of the class of Bazilevic functions. In earlier works, the closure property of many classes of functions under the Bernardi integral have been considered. The converse of this problem is also considered here.
Let $f$ be analytic in the unit disk $\mathbb D$ and normalized so that $f(z)=z+a_2z^2+a_3z^3+\cdots$. In this paper, we give upper bounds of the Hankel determinant of second order for the classes of starlike functions of order $α$, Ozaki close-to-convex functions and two other classes of analytic functions. Some of the estimates are sharp.
In this note, we discuss the coefficient regions of analytic self-maps of the unit disk with a prescribed fixed point. As an application, we solve the Fekete-Szegő problem for normalized concave functions with a prescribed pole in the unit disk.
In this paper we define a new concept of quasi-convolution for analytic functions normalized by $f(0)=0$ and $f^\prime(0)=1$ in the unit disk $E=\{z\in \mathbb{C}\colon |z|<1\}$. We apply this new approach to study the closure properties of a certain class of analytic and univalent functions under some families of (known and new) integral operators.
We consider the class $\mathcal{S}^*(q_c)$ of normalized starlike functions $f$ analytic in the open unit disk $|z|<1$ that satisfying the inequality \begin{equation*} \left|\left(\frac{zf'(z)}{f(z)}\right)^2-1\right|<c \quad (0<c\leq1). \end{equation*} In this article, we present some subordination relations and these relations are then used to obtain some corollaries for some subclass of analytic functions.
For $ -1 \leq B \leq 1$ and $A>B$, let $\mathcal{S}^*[A,B]$ denote the class of generalized Janowski starlike functions consisting of all normalized analytic functions $f$ defined by the subordination $z f'(z)/f(z) \prec (1+ A z)/(1+ B z)$ $(|z|<1)$. For $-1 \leq B \leq 1<A$, we investigate the inverse coefficient problem for functions in the class $\mathcal{S}^*[A,B]$ and its meromorphic counter part. Also, for $ -1 \leq B \leq 1 < A $, the sharp bounds for first five coefficients for inverse functions of generalized Janowski convex functions are determined. A simple and precise proof for inv…
Let $f$ be analutic in the unit disk $\mathbb D$ and normalized so that $f(z)=z+a_2z^2+a_3z^3+\cdots$. In this paper we give sharp bound of Hankel determinant of the second order for the class of analytic unctions satisfying \[ \left|\arg \left[\left(\frac{z}{f(z)}\right)^{1+α}f'(z) \right] \right|<γ\fracπ{2} \quad\quad (z\in\mathbb D),\] for $0<α<1$ and $0<γ\leq1$.
Let $f(z)=h(z)+\overline{g(z)}$ be a harmonic mapping of the unit disk $U$. In this paper, the sharp coefficient estimates for bounded planar harmonic mappings are established, the sharp coefficient estimates for normalized planar harmonic mappings with $|h(z)|+|g(z)|\leq M$ are also provided. As their applications, Landau's theorems for certain biharmonic mappings are provided, which improve and refine the related results of earlier authors.
This paper aims to pursue some classes of normalized analytic functions $f$ with fixed second coefficient defined on open unit disk, such that ${(1+z)^2f(z)}/{z}$ and ${(1+z)f(z)}/{z}$ are functions having positive real part. The radius of strongly starlikeness, the radius of lemniscate starlikeness, the radius of parabolic starlikeness and other starlikeness estimates are calculated for such functions. As well relevant connections of computed radii estimates with the existing one are also shown.
Let function $f$ be analytic in the unit disk ${\mathbb D}$ and be normalized so that $f(z)=z+a_2z^2+a_3z^3+\cdots$. In this paper we give sharp bounds of the modulus of its second, third and fourth coefficient, if $f$ satisfies \[ \left|\arg \left[\left(\frac{z}{f(z)}\right)^{1+α}f'(z) \right] \right|<γ\fracπ{2} \quad\quad (z\in {\mathbb D}),\] for $0<α<1$ and $0<γ\leq1$.
We consider normalized analytic function $f$ on the open unit disk for which either $\operatorname{Re} f(z)/g(z)>0$, $|f(z) /g(z) - 1|<1$ or $\operatorname{Re} (1-z^2) f(z) /z>0$ for some analytic function $g$ with $\operatorname{Re} (1-z^2) g(z) /z>0$. We have obtained the radii for these functions to belong to various subclasses of starlike functions. The subclasses considered include the classes of starlike functions of order $α$, lemniscate starlike functions and parabolic starlike functions.
In this article, we investigate some standard geometric properties of the integral operators $$ J_α[f](z)= \int_{0}^{z}\bigg(\frac{f(w)}{w}\bigg)^αdw, \,\,\, α\in \mathbb{C} \text{ and } |z|<1, $$ and $$ I_β[g](z)= \int_{0}^{z}\big(g'(w)\big)^βdw, \,\,\, β\in \mathbb{C} \text{ and } |z|<1, $$ where $f$ and $g$ are elements of certain classical families of normalized analytic functions defined on the unit disk. In particular, preserving properties of the Hornich sum of the operators $J_α$ and $I_β$ will be studied. Moreover, we also present sharp pre-Schwarzian norm estimate of such integrals.
Let ${\mathcal A}$ be the class of functions analytic in the unit disk ${\mathbb D} := \{ z\in {\mathbb C}:\, |z| < 1 \}$ and normalized such that $f(z)=z+a_2z^2+a_3z^3+\cdots$. In this paper we study the class $\mathcal{U}(λ)$, $0<λ\leq1$, consisting of functions $f$ from ${\mathcal{A}}$ satisfying \[\left|\left(\frac{z}{f(z)}\right)^2f'(z)-1\right| < λ\quad (z\in {\mathbb D}).\] and give results regarding the Zalcman Conjecture, the generalised Zalcman conjecture, the Krushkal inequality and the second and third order Hankel determinant.
Let $\mathcal{S}$ denote the class of functions analytic and univalent (i.e. one-to-one) in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}=\{z\in\mathbb{C}:\, |z|<1\}$ normalized by $f(0)=0=f'(0)-1$. The logarithmic coefficients $γ_n$ of $f\in\mathcal{S}$ are defined by $\log \frac{f(z)}{z}= 2\sum_{n=1}^{\infty} γ_n z^n.$ In the present paper, we determine the sharp upper bounds for $|γ_1|$, $|γ_2|$ and $|γ_3|$ when $f$ belongs to some familiar subclasses of close-to-convex functions.
In this short note we employ the Briot-Bouquet differential subordination to determine the best possible inclusion relation within a certain family of analytic functions defined by the Salagean derivative.
In this paper we introduce certain analytic functions of boundary rotation bounded by $kπ$ which are of Caratheodory origin. With them we study two classes of analytic and univalent functions in the unit disk $E=\{z\in \mathbb{C}\colon |z|<1\}$, which are also of bounded boundary rotation.
Let $z_0$ and $w_0$ be given points in the open unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ with $|w_0| < |z_0|$, and $\mathcal{H}_0$ be the class of all analytic self-maps $f$ of $\mathbb{D}$ normalized by $f(0)=0$. In this paper, we establish the third order Dieudonné Lemma, and apply it to explicitly determine the variability region $\{f'''(z_0): f\in \mathcal{H}_0,f(z_0) =w_0, f'(z_0)=w_1\}$ for given $z_0,w_0,w_1$ and give the form of all the extremal functions.
The object of the present paper is to study certain properties and characteristics of the operator $Q_{p,β}^α$defined on p-valent analytic function by using technique of differential subordination. We also obtained result involving majorization problems by applying the operator to p-valent analytic function.Relevant connection of the the result are presented here with those obtained by earlier worker are pointed out.
In this article we determine the coefficient bounds for functions in certain subclasses of analytic functions defined by subordination which are related to the well-known classes of starlike and convex functions. The main results deal with some open problems proposed by Q.H. Xu et al. [20,21]. An application of Jack lemma for certain subclass of starlike functions has been discussed.
In this paper, we obtain sharp bounds for the norm of pre--Schwarzian derivatives of certain analytic functions. Initially this problem was handled by H. Rahmatan, Sh. Najafzadeh and A. Ebadian [Stud Univ Babeş--Bolyai Math {\bf61}(2): 155--162, 2016]. We pointed out that the proofs by Rahmatan et al. are incorrect and present correct proofs.
In the present investigation, we derive Fekete-Szegö inequality for the class $\mathcal{S}^α_{\mathscr{L}_{g}}(ϕ)$, introduced here. In addition to that, certain applications of our results are also discussed.
We find the radius of starlikeness of order $α$, $0\leq α<1$, of normalized analytic functions $f$ on the unit disk satisfying either $\operatorname{Re}(f(z)/g(z))>0$ or $\left| (f(z)/g(z))-1\right|<1$ for some close-to-star function $g$ with $\operatorname{Re}(g(z)/(z+z^2/2))>0$ as well as of the class of close-to-star functions $f$ satisfying $\operatorname{Re}(f(z)/(z+z^2/2))>0$. Several other radii such as radius of univalence and parabolic starlikeness are shown to be the same as the radius of starlikeness of appropriate order.
In this paper, we considered a generalized class of starlike functions defined by Kanas and Răducanu\cite{10} to obtain integral means inequalities and subordination results. Further, we obtain the for various subclasses of starlike functions.
Let $z_0$ and $w_0$ be given points in the open unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ with $|w_0| < |z_0|$. Let $\mathcal{H}_0$ be the class of all analytic self-maps $f$ of $\mathbb{D}$ normalized by $f(0)=0$, and $\mathcal{H}_0 (z_0,w_0) = \{ f \in \mathcal{H}_0 : f(z_0) =w_0\}$. In this paper, we explicitly determine the variability region of $f''(z_0)$ when $f$ ranges over $\mathcal{H}_0 (z_0,w_0)$. We also show a geometric view of our main result by Mathematica.
In this paper, we consider a general subclass of analytic and bi-univalent functions in the open unit disk in the complex plane. Making use of the Chebyshev polynomials, we obtain upper bound estimate for the second Hankel determinant for this function class.
We consider a family of all analytic and univalent functions (i.e., one-to-one) in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}:=\{z\in \mathbb{C}:|z|<1\}$ of the form $f(z)=z+a_2z^2+a_3z^3+\cdots$. In this paper, we obtain the sharp bounds of the second Hankel determinant of Logarithmic coefficients for some subclasses of analytic functions.
In this paper, we obtain the Fekete-Szegö problem for the $k$-th $(k\geq1)$ root transform of the analytic and normalized functions $f$ satisfying the condition \begin{equation*} 1+\frac{α-π}{2 \sin α}< {\rm Re}\left\{\frac{zf'(z)}{f(z)}\right\} < 1+\fracα{2\sin α} \quad (|z|<1), \end{equation*} where $π/2\leq α<π$. Afterwards, by the above two-sided inequality we introduce and investigate a certain subclass of analytic and bi-univalent functions in the disk $|z|<1$ and obtain upper bounds for the first few coefficients and Fekete-Szegö problem for functions belonging to this analytic and bi-u…
Let ${\mathcal A}$ be the class of functions that are analytic in the unit disc ${\mathbb D}$, normalized such that $f(z)=z+\sum_{n=2}^\infty a_nz^n$, and let class ${\mathcal U}(λ)$, $0<λ\le1$, consists of functions $f\in{\mathcal A}$, such that \[ \left |\left (\frac{z}{f(z)} \right )^{2}f'(z)-1\right | < λ\quad (z\in {\mathbb D}). \] In this paper we determine the sharp upper bounds for the Hankel determinants of second and third order for the inverse functions of functions from the class ${\mathcal U}(λ)$.
Let $z_0$ and $w_0$ be given points in the open unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ with $|w_0| < |z_0|$, and $\mathcal{H}_0$ be the class of all analytic self-maps $f$ of $\mathbb{D}$ normalized by $f(0)=0$. In this paper, we establish the fourth-order Dieudonné's Lemma and apply it to determine the variability region $\{f^{(4)}(z_0): f\in \mathcal{H}_0,f(z_0) =w_0, f'(z_0)=w_1, f''(z_0)=w_2\}$ for given $z_0,w_0,w_1,w_2$ and give the form of all the extremal functions.
In this short note we extend a result of Jahangiri and Farahmand \cite{JM} concerning functions of bounded turning to a more general class of functions.
Let $h$ be a non-vanishing analytic function in the open unit disc with $h(0)=1$. Consider the class consisting of normalized analytic functions $f$ whose ratios $f(z)/g(z)$, $g(z)/z p(z)$, and $p(z)$ are each subordinate to $h$ for some analytic functions $g$ and $p$. The radius of starlikeness is obtained for this class when $h$ is chosen to be either $h(z)=\sqrt{1+z}$ or $h(z)=e^z$. Further $\mathcal{G}$-radius is also obtained for each of these two classes when $\mathcal{G}$ is a particular widely studied subclass of starlike functions. These include $\mathcal{G}$ consisting of the Janowsk…
For the real number $α>1$, we use a technique due to Nehari and Netanyahu and an application of certain integral iteration of Caratheodory functions to find the best-possible upper bounds on the coefficients of functions of the class $T_n^α(β)$ introduced in \cite{TOO} by Opoola.
For an interval $E=[a,b]$ on the real line, let $μ$ be either the equilibrium measure, or the normalized Lebesgue measure of $E$, and let $V^μ$ denote the associated logarithmic potential. In the present paper, we construct a function $f$ which is analytic on $E$ and possesses four branch points of second order outside of $E$ such that the family of the admissible compacta of $f$ has no minimizing elements with regard to the extremal theoretic-potential problem, in the external field equals $V^{-μ}$.
In the present paper we introduce and investigate an interesting subclass K_{s}^{(k)}(γ,p) of analytic and p-valently close-to-convex functions in the open unit disk U. For functions belonging to this class, we derive several properties as the inclusion relationships and distortion theorems. The various results presented here would generalize many known recent results.
In this paper, we study subclass of analytic function with negative coefficient defined by integral operator in the unit disc $U = \left\{ {z \in C:\left| z \right| < 1} \right\}$. The results are included coefficient estimates, closure theorem and distortion theorems of functions belonging to this subclass. Also, we presented detailed study of uniformly convex and uniformly starlike functions.
In this paper, we introduce and investigate two new subclasses of analytic functions in the open unit disk in the complex plane. Several interesting properties of the functions belonging to these classes are examined. Here, sufficient, and necessary and sufficient conditions for the functions belonging to these classes are also given. Moreover, coefficient bound estimates for the functions belonging to these classes are obtained.
In this paper, we define the subclasses $R_{μ,p}^δ(α;A,B)\ $ and $ P_{μ,p}^δ(α;A,B)\ $ of analytic functions in the open unit disc of complex plain. Then the neighborhood properties, integral means inequalities and some results concerning the partial sums of the functions belonging to these two subclasses are discussed.
In this paper, four parameters Wright function is considered. Certain geometric properties such as starlikeness, convexity, uniform convexity and close-to-convexity are discussed for this function. Further, certain geometric properties of normalized Bessel function of the first kind and two parameters Wright function are studied as a consequence. Interesting corollaries and examples are provided to support that these results are better than the existing ones and improve several results available in the literature.
Let $\mathcal{A}$ denote the class of analytic functions $f$ in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}=\{z\in\mathbb{C}:|z|<1\}$ normalized by $f(0)=0$, $f'(0)=1$. In the present article, we obtain the sharp estimates of the Schwarzian norm for functions in the classes $\mathcal{G}(β)=\{f\in \mathcal{A}:{\rm Re\,}[1+zf''(z)/f'(z)]<1+β/2\}$, where $β>0$ and $\mathcal{F}(α)=\{f\in \mathcal{A}:{\rm Re\,}[1+zf''(z)/f'(z)]>α\}$, where $-1/2\le α\le 0$. We also establish two-point distortion theorem for functions in the classes $\mathcal{G}(β)$ and $\mathcal{F}(α)$.
In this paper, we establish three new versions of Landau-type theorems for bounded bi-analytic functions of the form $F(z)=\bar{z}G(z)+H(z)$, where $G$ and $H$ are analytic in the unit disk $|z|<1$ with $G(0)=H(0)=0$ and $H'(0)=1$. In particular, two of them are sharp while the other one either generalizes or improves the corresponding result of Abdulhadi and Hajj. As consequences, several new sharp versions of Landau-type theorems for certain subclasses of bounded biharmonic mappings are proved.
We obtain new characterizations of Bergman and Bloch spaces on the unit disc involving equivalent (quasi)-norms of these spaces. Our results are in spirit of estimates obtained by Fefferman and Stein for HArdy spaces in R^n.
A normalized analytic function f is shown to be univalent in the open unit disk D if its second coefficient is sufficiently small and relates to its Schwarzian derivative through a certain inequality. New criteria for analytic functions to be in certain subclasses of functions are established in terms of the Schwarzian derivatives and the second coefficients. These include obtaining a sufficient condition for functions to be strongly $α$-Bazileviĉ of order $β$.
For analytic functions f(z) in the closed unit disk \bar{U}, two boundary points z_1 and z_2 such that α= (f'(z_1)+f'(z_2))/2 in f'(U) are considered. The object of the present paper is to discuss some interesting conditions for f(z) to be |f'(z)-1|<ρ|1-α| in U with some examples.
Let $E$ be the open unit disk $\{z\in \mathbb{C}: |z|<1\}$. Let $A$ be the class of analytic functions in $E$, which have the form $f(z)=z+a_2z^2+...$. We define operators $L_n^σ\colon A\to A$ using the convolution *. Using these operators, we define and study new classes of functions in the unit disk. Moreover, we obtain some basic properties of the new classes, namely inclusion, growth, covering, distortion, closure under certain integral transformation and coefficient inequalities.
We give a partial answer to a question attributed to Chris Miller on algebraic values of certain transcendental functions of order less than one. We obtain C(logH)^n bounds for the number of algebraic points of height at most H on certain subsets of the graphs of such functions. The constant C and exponent n depend on certain data associated with the functions and can be effectively computed from them.
