We study a semisimple extension of a Takiff superalgebra which turns out to have a remarkably rich representation theory. We determine the blocks in both the finite-dimensional and BGG module categories and also classify the Borel subalgebras. We further compute all extension groups between two finite-dimensional simple objects and prove that all non-principal blocks in the finite-dimensional module category are Koszul.
We prove that the Duflo-Serganova functor $DS_x$ attached to an odd nilpotent element $x$ of $\mathfrak{osp}(m|2n)$ is semisimple, i.e. sends a semisimple representation $M$ of $\mathfrak{osp}(m|2n)$ to a semisimple representation of $\mathfrak{osp}(m-2k|2n-2k)$ where $k$ is the rank of $x$. We prove a closed formula for $DS_x(L(λ))$ in terms of the arc diagram attached to $λ$.
We study the Duflo-Serganova functor $\operatorname{DS}_x$ for the queer Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{q}_n$ and for all odd $x$ with $[x,x]$ semisimple. For the case when the rank of $x$ is $1$ we give a formula for multiplicities in terms of the arc diagram attached to $λ$. Further, we prove that $\operatorname{DS}_x(L)$ is semisimple if $L$ is a simple finite-dimensional module and $x$ is of rank $1$ satisfying $x^2=0$.
For semisimple Lie superalgebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero, whose category of finite dimensional super representations is semisismple, we classify all irreducible super representations for which the alternating or symmetric square representation is irreducible or decomposes into an irreducible representation and a trivial representation.
We classify integrable bounded simple weight modules over classical Lie superalgebras at infinity. We also study the categories of such modules, and we prove that for most of the classical Lie superalgebras at infinity the respective category is semisimple.
We present two novel proofs of the known classification of connected affine algebraic supergroups $G$ such that $\operatorname{Rep}G$ is semisimple. The proofs are geometrically motivated, although both rely on an algebraic lemma that characterizes $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2n)$ amongst simple Lie superalgebras.
We prove that an integral block of the category $\mathcal O$ of the periplectic Lie superalgebra contains a non-semisimple Jantzen middle if and only if it contains a simple module of atypical highest weight. As a consequence, every atypical integral block of $\mathcal O$ does not admit a Kazhdan-Lusztig theory in the sense of Cline, Parshall and Scott.
Let $\frak{g}$ be a contact Lie superalgebra of odd type or special contact Lie superalgebra of odd type over an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p>3$. In this paper we study non-restricted representations of $\frak{g}$. By using induced Kac modules, we characterize all simple $\frak{g}$-modules with nonsingular or $Δ$-invertible $p$-characters. We also obtain all simple $\frak{g}$-modules with regular semisimple $p$-characters.
Let $S(m|n,d)$ be the Schur superalgebra whose supermodules correspond to the polynomial representations of the supergroup $GL(m|n)$ of degree $d$. In this paper we determine the representation type of these algebras (i.e. classify the ones which are semisimple, have finite, tame and wild representation type). Moreover, we prove that these algebras are in general not quasi-hereditary and have infinite global dimension.
Vogan raised the idea of Dirac cohomology to study representations of semisimple Lie groups and Lie algebras. He conjectured that the infinitesimal character of Harish-Chandra modules are determined by their Dirac cohomology. Huang and Pandžić proved this conjecture and initiated the research on Dirac cohomology for Lie superalgebras based on Kostant's results. The aim of the present paper is to study Dirac cohomology of unitary representations for the general linear superalgebra and its relation to nilpotent Lie superalgebra cohomology.
In this paper, we begin the study of highest weight representations of the quantized enveloping superalgebra ${\mathfrak U}_q {\mathfrak p}_n$ of type $P$. We introduce a Drinfeld-Jimbo representation and establish a triangular-decomposition of ${\mathfrak U}_q {\mathfrak p}_n$. We explain how to relate modules over ${\mathfrak U}_q {\mathfrak p}_n$ to modules over ${\mathfrak p}_n$, the Lie superalgebra of type $P$, and we prove that the category of tensor modules over ${\mathfrak U}_q {\mathfrak p}_n$ is not semisimple.
A semisimple algebraic tensor category over an algebraically closed field k of characteristic zero is the representation category of all finite dimensional twisted super representations of an affine reductive supergroup G over k. Such a supergroup is reductive if and only if its connected component is reductive. The connected component is reductive if and only if the Lie superalgebra divided by its center is a product of simple Lie algebras of classical type and Lie superalgebras spo(1,2r) of the orthosymplectic types BC_r.
Generalizing the super duality formalism for finite-dimensional Lie superalgebras of type $ABCD$, we establish an equivalence between parabolic BGG categories of a Kac-Moody Lie superalgebra and a Kac-Moody Lie algebra. The characters for a large family of irreducible highest weight modules over a symmetrizable Kac-Moody Lie superalgebra are then given in terms of Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials for the first time. We formulate a notion of integrable modules over a symmetrizable Kac-Moody Lie superalgebra via super duality, and show that these integrable modules form a semisimple tensor subcategor…
The minimal representation of a semisimple Lie group is a 'small' infinite-dimensional irreducible unitary representation. It is thought to correspond to the minimal nilpotent coadjoint orbit in Kirillov's orbit philosophy. The Segal-Bargmann transform is an intertwining integral transformation between two different models of the minimal representation for Hermitian Lie groups of tube type. In this paper we construct a Fock model for the minimal representation of the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(m,2|2n)$. We also construct an integral transform which intertwines the Schrödi…
Let g=g_{0} \oplus g_{1} be a classical Lie superalgebra and F be the category of finite dimensional g-supermodules which are semisimple over g_{0}. In this paper we investigate the homological properties of the category F. In particular we prove that F is self-injective in the sense that all projective supermodules are injective. We also show that all supermodules in F admit a projective resolution with polynomial rate of growth and, hence, one can study complexity in F. If g is a Type I Lie superalgebra we introduce support varieties which detect projectivity and are related to the associate…
This paper gives an analogue of A_g(V) theory for a vertex operator superalgebra V and an automorphism g of finite order. The relation between the g-twisted V-modules and A_g(V)-modules is established. It is proved that if V is g-rational, then A_g(V) is finite dimensional semisimple associative algebra and there are only finitely many irreducible g-twisted V-modules.
Let $\mathbb{k}$ be a characteristic zero domain. For a locally unital $\mathbb{k}$-superalgebra $A$ with distinguished idempotents $I$and even subalgebra $a \subseteq A_{\bar 0}$, we define and study an associated diagrammatic monoidal $\mathbb{k}$-linear supercategory $\mathbf{Web}^{A,a}_I$. This supercategory yields a diagrammatic description of the generalized Schur algebras $T^A_a(n,d)$. We also show there is an asymptotically faithful functor from $\mathbf{Web}^{A,a}_I$ to the monoidal supercategory of $\mathfrak{gl}_n(A)$-modules generated by symmetric powers of the natural module. When…
Suppose a group $Γ$ acts on a scheme $X$ and a Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{g}$. The corresponding equivariant map superalgebra is the Lie superalgebra of equivariant regular maps from $X$ to $\mathfrak{g}$. We classify the irreducible finite dimensional modules for these superalgebras under the assumptions that the coordinate ring of $X$ is finitely generated, $Γ$ is finite abelian and acts freely on the rational points of $X$, and $\mathfrak{g}$ is a basic classical Lie superalgebra (or $\mathfrak{sl}(n,n)$, $n > 0$, if $Γ$ is trivial). We show that they are all (tensor products of) generaliz…
For a restricted Lie superalgebra g over an algebraically closed field of characteristic p > 2, we generalize the deformation method of Premet and Skryabin to obtain results on the p-power and 2-power divisibility of dimensions of g-modules. In particular, we give a new proof of the Super Kac-Weisfeiler conjecture for basic classical Lie superalgebras. The new proof allows us to improve optimally the assumption on p. We also establish a semisimplicity criterion for the reduced enveloping superalgebras associated with semisimple p-characters for all basic classical Lie superalgebras using the t…
A well known theorem of Duflo claims that the annihilator of a Verma module in the enveloping algebra of a complex semisimple Lie algebra is generated by its intersection with the centre. For a Lie superalgebra this result fails to be true. For instance, in the case of the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra osp(1,2), Pinczon gave in [Pi] an example of a Verma module whose annihilator is not generated by its intersection with the centre of universal enveloping algebra. More generally, Musson produced in [Mu1] a family of such "singular" Verma modules for osp(1,2l) cases. In this article we give a…
We introduce a semisimple tensor category $\mc{O}^{int}_q(m|n)$ of modules over an quantum ortho-symplectic superalgebra. It is a natural counterpart of the category of finitely dominated integrable modules over the quantum classical (super) algebra of type $B_{m+n}$, $C_{m+n}$, $D_{m+n}$ or $B(0,m+n)$ from a viewpoint of super duality. We classify the irreducible modules in $\mc{O}^{int}_q(m|n)$ and show that an irreducible module in $\mc{O}^{int}_q(m|n)$ has a unique crystal base in case of type $B$ and $C$. An explicit description of the crystal graph is given in terms of a new combinatoria…
The modular representation theory of the queer Lie superalgebra q(n) over characteristic p>2 is developed. We obtain a criterion for the irreducibility of baby Verma modules with semisimple p-characters and a criterion for the semisimplicity of the corresponding reduced enveloping algebras. A (2p)-power divisibility of dimensions of q(n)-modules with nilpotent p-characters is established. The representation theory of q(2) is treated in detail. We formulate a Morita super-equivalence conjecture for q(n) with general p-characters which is verified for n=2.
We revisit the derivation of Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations in the case of nonsemisimple categories of modules of a superalgebra in the case of the generic affne level and representations parameters. A proof of existence of asymptotic solutions and their properties for the superalgebra $gl(1|1)$ gives a basis for the proof of existence associator which satisfy braided tensor categories requirements. Braided tensor category structure of $U_h(gl(1|1))$ quantum algebra calculated, and the tensor product ring is shown to be isomorphic to $gl(1|1)$ ring, for the same generic relations between the…
We show that if $V$ is a vertex operator algebra such that all the irreducible ordinary $V$-modules are $C_1$-cofinite and all the grading-restricted generalized Verma modules for $V$ are of finite length, then the category of finite length generalized $V$-modules has a braided tensor category structure. By applying the general theorem to the simple affine vertex operator algebra (resp. superalgebra) associated to a finite simple Lie algebra (resp. Lie superalgebra) $\mathfrak{g}$ at level $k$ and the category $KL_k(\mathfrak{g})$ of its finite length generalized modules, we discover several f…
Representations of the non-semisimple superalgebra $gl(2|2)$ in the standard basis are investigated by means of the vector coherent state method and boson-fermion realization. All finite-dimensional irreducible typical and atypical representations and lowest weight (indecomposable) Kac modules of $gl(2|2)$ are constructed explicitly through the explicit construction of all $gl(2)\oplus gl(2)$ particle states (multiplets) in terms of boson and fermion creation operators in the super-Fock space. This gives a unified and complete treatment of finite-dimensional representations of $gl(2|2)$ in exp…
