In this paper, we investigate the almost surely pointwise convergence problem of free KdV equation, free wave equation, free elliptic and non-elliptic Schrödinger equation respectively. We firstly establish some estimates related to the Wiener decomposition of frequency spaces which are just Lemmas 2.1-2.6 in this paper. Secondly, by using Lemmas 2.1-2.6, 3.1, we establish the probabilistic estimates of some random series which are just Lemmas 3.2-3.11 in this paper. Finally, combining the density theorem in L$^{2}$ with Lemmas 3.2-3.11, we obtain almost surely pointwise convergence of the solutions to corresponding equations with randomized initial data in $L^{2}$, which require much less regularity of the initial data than the rough data case. At the same time, we present the probabilistic density theorem, which is Lemma 3.11 in this paper.
We revisit the proof of Landau damping near stable homogenous equilibria of Vlasov-Poisson systems with screened interactions in the whole space $\mathbb{R}^d$ (for $d\geq3$) that was first established by Bedrossian, Masmoudi and Mouhot. Our proof follows a Lagrangian approach and relies on precise pointwise in time dispersive estimates in the physical space for the linearized problem that should be of independent interest. This allows to cut down the smoothness of the initial data required in Bedrossian at al. (roughly, we only need Lipschitz regularity). Moreover, the time decay estimates we…
In this note, we review some of the recent developments in the well-posedness theory of nonlinear dispersive partial differential equations with random initial data.
We study the fractal pointwise convergence for the equation $i\hbar\partial_tu + P(D)u = 0$, where the symbol $P$ is real, homogeneous and non-singular. We prove that for initial data $f\in H^s(\mathbb{R}^n)$ with $s>(n-α+1)/2$ the solution $u$ converges to $f$ $\mathcal{H}^α$-a.e, where $\mathcal{H}^α$ is the $α$-dimensional Hausdorff measure. We improve upon this result depending on the dispersive strength of $P$. On the other hand, for a family of polynomials $P$ and given $α$, we exploit a Talbot-like effect to construct initial data whose solutions $u$ diverge in sets of Hausdorff dimensi…
We prove L^1 --> L^\infty estimates for the linear Schroedinger equation in three dimensions. The potential is assumed to belong to certain L^p spaces, but no pointwise decay estimates and no additional regularity is required.

We investigate the dispersive properties of solutions to the Schrödinger equation with a weakly decaying radial potential on cones. If the potential has sufficient polynomial decay at infinity, then we show that the Schrödinger flow on each eigenspace of the link manifold satisfies a weighted $L^1\to L^\infty$ dispersive estimate. In odd dimensions, the decay rate we compute is consistent with that of the Schrödinger equation in a Euclidean space of the same dimension, but the spatial weights reflect the more complicated regularity issues in frequency that we face in the form of the spectral m…
We prove a dispersive estimate for the time-independent Schrodinger operator H = -Δ+ V in three dimensions. The potential V(x) is assumed to lie in the intersection L^p(R^3) \cap L^q(R^3), p < 3/2 < q, and also to satisfy a generic zero-energy spectral condition. This class, which includes potentials that have pointwise decay |V(x)| < C(1+|x|)^{-2-ε}, is nearly critical with respect to the natural scaling of the Laplacian. No additional regularity, decay, or positivity of V is assumed.
We prove the pointwise decay of solutions to three linear equations: (i) the transport equation in phase space generalizing the classical Vlasov equation, (ii) the linear Schrodinger equation, (iii) the Airy (linear KdV) equation. The usual proofs use explicit representation formulae, and either obtain $L^1$---$L^\infty$ decay through directly estimating the fundamental solution in physical space, or by studying oscillatory integrals coming from the representation in Fourier space. Our proof instead combines "vector field" commutators that capture the inherent symmetries of the relevant equati…
We prove the existence of highest, cusped, periodic travelling-wave solutions with exact and optimal $ α$-Hölder continuity in a class of fractional negative-order dispersive equations of the form \begin{equation*} u_t + (| \mathrm{D} |^{- α} u + n(u) )_x = 0 \end{equation*} for every $ α\in (0, 1) $ with homogeneous Fourier multiplier $ | \mathrm{D} |^{ - α} $. We tackle nonlinearities $ n(u) $ of the type $ | u |^p $ or $ u | u |^{p - 1} $ for all real $ p > 1 $, and show that when $ n $ is odd, the waves also feature antisymmetry and thus contain inverted cusps. Tools involve detailed point…
In this paper we consider the Laplace-Beltrami operator Δon Damek-Ricci spaces and derive pointwise estimates for the kernel of exp(τΔ), when τ\in C* with Re(τ) \geq 0. When τ\in iR*, we obtain in particular pointwise estimates of the Schrödinger kernel associated with Δ. We then prove Strichartz estimates for the Schrödinger equation, for a family of admissible pairs which is larger than in the Euclidean case. This extends the results obtained by Anker and Pierfelice on real hyperbolic spaces. As a further application, we study the dispersive properties of the Schrödinger equation associated …
We continue our study of the cubic fractional NLS with very weak dispersion $α>1$ and data distributed according to the Gibbs measure. We construct the natural strong solutions for $α>α_0=\frac{31-\sqrt{233}}{14}\approx 1.124$ which is strictly smaller than $\frac{8}{7}$, the threshold beyond which the first nontrivial Picard iteration has no longer the Sobolev regularity needed for the deterministic well-posedness theory. This also improves our previous result in Sun-Tzvetkov \cite{Sun-Tz2}. We rely on recent ideas of Bringmann \cite{Bringmann} and Deng-Nahmod-Yue \cite{Deng2}. In particular …
Abstract. The purpose of this paper is twofold. We introduce the theory of random tensors, which naturally extends the method of random averaging operators in our earlier work arXiv:1910.08492, to study the propagation of randomness under nonlinear dispersive equations. By applying this theory we also solve Conjecture 1.7 in arXiv:1910.08492, and establish almost-sure local well-posedness for semilinear Schrödinger equations in spaces that are subcritical in the probabilistic scaling. The solution we find has an explicit expansion in terms of multilinear Gaussians with adapted random tensor co…
In this paper, we consider the pointwise convergence problem of free Ostrovsky equation with rough data and random data. Firstly, we show the almost everywhere pointwise convergence of free Ostrovsky equation in $H^{s}(\mathbb{R})$ with $s\geq \frac{1}{4}$ with rough data. Secondly, we present counterexamples showing that the maximal function estimate related to the free Ostrovsky equation can fail if $s<\frac{1}{4}$. Finally, for every $x\in \mathbb{R}$, we show the almost surely pointwise convergence of free Ostrovsky equation in $L^{2}(\mathbb{R})$ with random data. The main tools are the d…
The purpose of this article is to introduce for dispersive partial differential equations with random initial data, the notion of well-posedness (in the Hadamard-probabilistic sense). We restrict the study to one of the simplest examples of such equations: the periodic cubic semi-linear wave equation. Our contributions in this work are twofold: first we break the algebraic rigidity involved in previous works and allow much more general randomizations (general infinite product measures v.s. Gibbs measures), and second, we show that the flow that we are able to construct enjoys very nice dynamic…

In this paper, we prove sharp pointwise kernel estimates and dispersive properties for the linear wave equation on noncompact Riemannian symmetric spaces G/K of any rank with G complex. As a consequence, we deduce Strichartz inequalities for a large family of admissible pairs and prove global well-posedness results for the corresponding semilinear equation with low regularity data as on hyperbolic spaces.
In this paper we show that the local Kato type smoothing estimates are essentially equivalent to the global Kato type smoothing estimates for some class of dispersive equations including the Schrödinger equation. From this we immediately have two results as follows. One is that the known local Kato smoothing estimates are sharp. The sharp regularity ranges of the global Kato smoothing estimates are already known, but those of the local Kato smoothing estimates are not. Recently, Sun, Trélat, Zhang and Zhong have shown it only in spacetime $\mathbb R \times \mathbb R$. Our result resolves this …
In this paper we establish optimal pointwise decay estimates for non-dispersive (compact) radial solutions to non-linear wave equations in 3 dimensions, in the energy supercritical range. As an application, we show for the full energy supercritical range, in the defocusing case, that if the scale invariant Sobolev norm of a radial solution remains bounded in its maximal interval of existence, then the solution must exist for all times and scatter.
In this paper we discuss quantitative (pointwise) decay estimates for solutions to the 3D cubic defocusing Nonlinear Schrödinger equation with various initial data, deterministic and random. We show that nonlinear solutions enjoy the same decay rate as the linear ones. The regularity assumption on the initial data is much lower than in previous results (see \cite{fan2021decay} and the references therein) and moreover we quantify the decay, which is another novelty of this work. Furthermore, we show that the (physical) randomization of the initial data can be used to replace the $L^1$-data assu…
In this paper, we are interested in the two-dimensional Dirac-Klein-Gordon system, which is a basic model in particle physics. We investigate the global behaviors of small data solutions to this system in the case of a massive scalar field and a massless Dirac field. More precisely, our main result is twofold: 1) we show sharp time decay for the pointwise estimates of the solutions which imply the asymptotic stability of this system; 2) we show the linear scattering result of this system which is a fundamental problem when it is viewed as dispersive equations. Our result is valid for general s…
For certain non linear evolution equations, existence of global in time flows for large data is a fundamental and difficult question. In general, for dispersive and wave equations high regularity of the data does not automatically guarantee the existence of a global flow. One first needs to prove a global result at a level of regularity that matches that of a conserved quantity. Then, preservation of regularity allows to prove that the global flow exists for all smoother data. This mechanism cannot be applied in the non deterministic setting, such as the global well-posedness on the statistica…
We consider the cubic Schrödinger equation on the euclidean space perturbed by a short-range potential $V$. The presence of a negative simple eigenvalue for $-Δ+V$ gives rise to a curve of small and localized nonlinear ground states that yield some time-periodic solutions known to be asymptotically stable in the energy space. We study the persistence of these coherent states under rough perturbations. We shall construct a large measure set of small scaling-supercritical solutions below the energy space that display some asymptotic stability behavior. The main difficulty is the need to handle t…
Nowadays we have many methods allowing to exploit the regularising properties of the linear part of a nonlinear dispersive equation (such as the KdV equation, the nonlinear wave or the nonlinear Schroedinger equations) in order to prove well-posedness in low regularity Sobolev spaces. By well-posedness in low regularity Sobolev spaces we mean that less regularity than the one imposed by the energy methods is required (the energy methods do not exploit the dispersive properties of the linear part of the equation). In many cases these methods to prove well-posedness in low regularity Sobolev spa…

In this paper we prove global regularity for the full water waves system in 3 dimensions for small data, under the influence of both gravity and surface tension. This problem presents essential difficulties which were absent in all of the earlier global regularity results for other water wave models. To construct global solutions we use a combination of energy estimates and matching dispersive estimates. There is a significant new difficulty in proving energy estimates in our problem, namely the combination of slow pointwise decay of solutions (no better than $|t|^{-5/6}$) and the presence of …
