After endowing with a 3-Lie-Rinehart structure on Hom 3-Lie algebras, we obtain a class of special
Hom 3-Lie algebras, which have close relationships with representations of commutative associative algebras. We provide a special class of Hom 3-Lie-Rinehart algebras, called split regular Hom 3-Lie-Rinehart algebras, and we then characterize their structures by means of root systems and weight systems associated to a splitting Cartan subalgebra.
After recalling the notion of Lie algebroid, we construct these structures associated with contact forms or systems. We are then interested in particular classes of Lie Rinehart algebras.
We organize colored aromatic trees into a pre-Lie-Rinehart algebra (i.e. a flat torsion-free Lie-Rinehart algebra) endowed with a natural trace map, and show the freeness of this object among pre-Lie-Rinehart algebras with trace. This yields the algebraic foundations of aromatic B-series.
We introduce the notion of 3-Hom-Lie-Rinehart algebra and systematically describe a cohomology complex by considering coefficient modules. Furthermore, we consider extensions of a 3-Hom-Lie-Rinehart algebra and characterize the first cohomology space in terms of the group of automorphisms of an $A$-split abelian extension and the equivalence classes of $A$-split abelian extensions. Finally, we study formal deformations of 3-Hom-Lie-Rinehart algebras.
In this paper we study the universal central extension of a Lie--Rinehart algebra and we give a description of it. Then we study the lifting of automorphisms and derivations to central extensions. We also give a definition of a non-abelian tensor product in Lie--Rinehart algebras based on the construction of Ellis of non-abelian tensor product of Lie algebras. We relate this non-abelian tensor product to the universal central extension.
In this paper, we introduce the concept of crossed module for Hom-Leibniz-Rinehart algebras. We study the cohomology and extension theory of Hom-Leibniz-Rinehart algebras. It is proved that there is one-to-one correspondence between equivalence classes of abelian extensions of Hom-Leibniz-Rinehart algebras and the elements of second cohomology group. Furthermore, we prove that there is a natural map from $α$-crossed modules extension of Hom-Leibniz-Rinehart algebras to the third cohomology group of Hom-Leibniz-Rinehart algebras.
The aim of this paper is to study the structures of split regular Hom-Lie Rinehart algebras. Let $(L,A)$ be a split regular Hom-Lie Rinehart algebra. We first show that $L$ is of the form $L=U+\sum_{[γ]\inΓ/\thicksim}I_{[γ]}$ with $U$ a vector space complement in $H$ and $I_{[γ]}$ are well described ideals of $L $ satisfying $I_{[γ]},I_{[δ]}=0$ if $I_{[γ]}\neq I_{[δ]}$. Also, we discuss the weight spaces and decompositions of $A$ and present the relation between the decompositions of $L$ and $A$. Finally, we consider the structures of tight split regular Hom-Lie Rinehart algebras.
We introduce the class of split Lie-Rinehart algebras as the natural extension of the one of split Lie algebras. We show that if $L$ is a tight split Lie-Rinehart algebra over an associative and commutative algebra $A,$ then $L$ and $A$ decompose as the orthogonal direct sums $L = \bigoplus_{i \in I}L_i$, $A = \bigoplus_{j \in J}A_j$, where any $L_i$ is a nonzero ideal of $L$, any $A_j$ is a nonzero ideal of $A$, and both decompositions satisfy that for any $i \in I$ there exists a unique $\tilde{i} \in J$ such that $A_{\tilde{i}}L_i \neq 0$. Furthermore any $L_i$ is a split Lie-Rinehart algeb…
A pre-Lie-Rinehart algebra is an algebraic generalization of the notion of a left-symmetric algebroid. We construct pre-Lie-Rinehart algebras from r-matrices through Lie algebra actions. We study cohomologies of pre-Lie-Rinehart algebras and show that abelian extensions of pre-Lie-Rinehart algebras are classified by the second cohomology groups. We introduce the notion of crossed modules for pre-Lie-Rinehart algebras and show that they are classified by the third cohomology groups of pre-Lie-Rinehart algebras. At last, we use (pre-)Lie-Rinehart 2-algebras to characterize the crossed modules fo…
We introduce a notion of $n$-Lie Rinehart algebras as a generalization of Lie Rinehart algebras to $n$-ary case. This notion is also an algebraic analogue of $n$-Lie algebroids. We develop representation theory and describe a cohomology complex of $n$-Lie Rinehart algebras. Furthermore, we investigate extension theory of $n$-Lie Rinehart algebras by means of $2$-cocycles. Finally, we introduce crossed modules of $n$-Lie Rinehart algebras to gain a better understanding of their third dimensional cohomology groups.
In this paper, we study Lie Rinehart bialgebras, the algebraic generalization of Lie bialgebroids. More precisely, we analyze the structure of Lie Rinehart bialgebras for crossed products induced by actions of Lie algebras on K[t].
We generalize the notions of shifted double Poisson and shifted double Lie-Rinehart structures, defined by Van den Bergh in [VdB08a, VdB08b], to monoids in a symmetric monoidal abelian category. The main result is that an n-shifted double Lie-Rinehart structure on a pair (A, M) is equivalent to a non-shifted double Lie-Rinehart structure on the pair (A, M [--n]).
We prove how the universal enveloping algebra constructions for Lie-Rinehart algebras and anchored Lie algebras are naturally left adjoint functors. This provides a conceptual motivation for the universal properties these constructions satisfy. As a supplement, the categorical approach offers new insights into the definitions of Lie-Rinehart algebra morphisms, of modules over Lie-Rinehart algebras and of the infinitesimal gauge algebra of a module.
We introduce the concept of 3-Lie-Rinehart superalgebra and systematically describe a cohomology complex by considering coefficient modules. Furthermore, we study the relationships between a Lie-Rinehart superalgebra and its induced 3-Lie-Rinehart superalgebra. The deformations of 3-Lie-Rinehart superalgebra are considered via the cohomology theory.
In this paper, we define a class of 3-algebras which are called 3-Lie-Rinehart algebras. A 3-Lie-Rinehart algebra is a triple $(L, A, ρ)$, where $A$ is a commutative associative algebra, $L$ is an $A$-module, $(A, ρ)$ is a 3-Lie algebra $L$-module and $ρ(L, L)\subseteq Der(A)$. We discuss the basic structures, actions and crossed modules of 3-Lie-Rinehart algebras and construct 3-Lie-Rinehart algebras from given algebras, we also study the derivations from 3-Lie-Rinehart algebras to 3-Lie $A$-algebras. From the study, we see that there is much difference between 3-Lie algebras and 3-Lie-Rineha…
We give an interpretation of the Brauer group of a purely inseparable extension of exponent 1, in terms of restricted Lie-Rinehart cohomology. In particular, we define and study the category $p$-$\rm{LR}(A)$ of restricted Lie-Rinehart algebras over a commutative algebra $A$. We define cotriple cohomology groups $H_{p-LR}(L,M)$ for $L\in p$-$\rm{LR}(A)$ and $M$ a Beck $L$-module. We classify restricted Lie-Rinehart extensions. Thus, we obtain a classification theorem for regular extensions considered by Hoshschild.
In this paper we introduce a class of $3-$color algebras which are called split $3-$Lie-Rinehart color algebras as the natural generalization of the one of split LieRinehart algebras. We characterize their inner structures by developing techniques of connections of root systems and weight systems associated to a splitting Cartan subalgebra. We show that such a tight split $3-$Lie-Rinehart color algebras $(\LL, A)$ decompose as the orthogonal direct sums $\LL =\oplus_{i\in I}\LL_i$ and $A =\oplus_{j\in J}A_j,$ where any $\LL_i$ is a non-zero graded ideal of $\LL$ satisfying $[\LL{i_1}, \LL{i_2}…
We study formal deformations of hom-Lie-Rinehart algebras. The associated deformation cohomology that controls deformations is constructed using multiderivations of hom-Lie-Rinehart algebras.
We introduce hom-Lie-Rinehart algebras as an algebraic analogue of hom-Lie algebroids, and systematically describe a cohomology complex by considering coefficient modules. We define the notion of extensions for hom-Lie-Rinehart algebras. In the sequel, we deduce a characterisation of low dimensional cohomology spaces in terms of the group of automorphisms of certain abelian extension and the equivalence classes of those abelian extensions in the category of hom-Lie-Rinehart algebras, respectively. We also construct a canonical example of hom-Lie-Rinehart algebra associated to a given Poisson a…
In this paper we study universal central extensions and non-abelian tensor product of hom-Lie-Rinehart algebras. We discuss about universal $α$- central extensions, and, lifting of automorphisms and $α$-derivations to central extensions for hom-Lie-Rinehart algebras. This is in turn provide such lifting of automorphisms and $α^k$-derivations to the central extensions for hom-Lie algebras.
Lie-Rinehart algebras, also known as Lie algebroids, give rise to Hopf algebroids by a universal enveloping algebra construction, much as the universal enveloping algebra of an ordinary Lie algebra gives a Hopf algebra, of infinite dimension. In finite characteristic, the universal enveloping algebra of a restricted Lie algebra admits a quotient Hopf algebra which is finite-dimensional if the Lie algebra is. Rumynin has shown that suitably defined restricted Lie algebroids allow to define restricted universal enveloping algebras that are finitely generated projective if the Lie algebroid is. T…
In this paper, we study Lie-Rinehart cohomology for quotients of singularities by finite groups, and interpret these cohomology groups in terms of integrable connection on modules.

In this paper, we introduce the notion of the Hom-Leibniz-Rinehart algebra as an algebraic analogue of Hom-Leibniz algebroid, and prove that such an arbitrary split regular Hom-Leibniz-Rinehart algebra $L$ is of the form $L=U+\sum_γI_γ$ with $U$ a subspace of a maximal abelian subalgebra $H$ and any $I_γ$, a well described ideal of $L$, satisfying $[I_γ, I_δ]= 0$ if $[γ]\neq [δ]$. In the sequel, we develop techniques of connections of roots and weights for split Hom-Leibniz-Rinehart algebras respectively. Finally, we study the structures of tight split regular Hom-Leibniz-Rinehart algebras.
We describe Lie-Rinehart algebras in the tensor category $\mathcal{LM}$ of linear maps in the sense of Loday and Pirashvili and construct a functor from Lie-Rinehart algebras in $\mathcal{LM}$ to Leibniz algebroids.
We consider Lie algebroids over algebraic spaces (in short we call it as $a$-spaces) by considering the sheaf of Lie-Rinehart algebras. We discuss about properties of universal enveloping algebroid $\mathscr{U}(\mathcal{O}_X,\mathcal{L})$ of a Lie algebroid $\mathcal{L}$ over an $a$-space $(X, \mathcal{O}_X)$. This is done by sheafification of the presheaf of universal enveloping algebras for Lie-Rinehart algebras. We review the extent to which structure of the universal enveloping algebroid of Lie algebroids (over special $a$-spaces) resembles a sheaf of bialgebras. In the sequel we present a…

Poisson algebras are, just like Lie algebras, particular cases of Lie-Rinehart algebras. The latter were introduced by Rinehart in his seminal 1963 paper, where he also introduces the notion of an enveloping algebra and proves --- under some mild conditions --- that the enveloping algebra of a Lie-Rinehart algebra satisfies a Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt theorem (PBW theorem). In the case of a Poisson algebra $({\mathcal A},\cdot,\{\cdot,\cdot\})$ over a commutative ring $R$ (with unit), Rinehart's result boils down to the statement that if $\mathcal A$ is \emph{smooth} (as an algebra), then gr$(U({…
Let (S,L) be a Lie-Rinehart algebra over a commutative ring R. This article proves that, if S is flat as an R-module and has Van den Bergh duality in dimension n, and if L is finitely generated and projective with constant rank d as an S-module, then the enveloping algebra of (S,L) has Van den Bergh duality in dimension n+d. When, moreover, S is Calabi-Yau and the d-th exterior power of L is free over S, the article proves that the enveloping algebra is skew-Calabi-Yau, and it describes a Nakayama automorphism of it. These considerations are specialised to Poisson enveloping algebras. They are…
In a previous paper we introduced the notion of a D-Lie algebra $\tilde{L}$. A D-Lie algebra $\tilde{L}$ is an $A/k$-Lie-Rinehart algebra with a right $A$-module structure and a canonical central element $D$ satisfying several conditions. We used this notion to define the universal enveloping algebra of the category of $\tilde{L}$-connections and to define the cohomology and homology of an arbitrary connection. In this note we introduce the canonical quotient $L$ of a D-Lie algebra $\tilde{L}$ and use this to classify D-Lie algebras where $L$ is projective as $A$-module. We define for any 2-co…
In this paper, we introduce the notion of a derivation of a Hom-Lie algebra and construct the corresponding strict Hom-Lie 2-algebra, which is called the derivation Hom-Lie 2-algebra. As applications, we study non-abelian extensions of Hom-Lie algebras. We show that iso- morphism classes of diagonal non-abelian extensions of a Hom-Lie algebra g by a Hom-Lie algebra h are in one-to-one correspondence with homotopy classes of morphisms from g to the derivation Hom-Lie 2-algebra DER(h).
In this paper we introduce the notion of Hom-pre-Lie bialgebra in the general framework of the cohomology theory for Hom-Lie algebras. We show that Hom-pre-Lie bialgebras, standard Manin triples for Hom-pre-Lie algebras and certain matched pairs of Hom-pre-Lie algebras are equivalent. Due to the usage of the cohomology theory, it makes us successfully study the coboundary Hom-pre-Lie bialgebras. The notion of Hom-s-matrix is introduced, by which we can construct Hom-pre-Lie bialgebras naturally. Finally we introduce the notions of Hom-O-operators on Hom-pre-Lie algebras and Hom-L-dendriform al…
(Multiplicative) Hom-Lie-Yamaguti superalgebras which generalize Hom-Lie supertriple systems (and subsequently ternary multiplicative Hom-Nambu superalgebras) and Hom-Lie superalgebras in the same way as Lie-Yamaguti superalgebras [Frac] generalize Lie supertriple systems and Lie superalgebras are defined. We show that the category of (multiplicative) Hom-Lie-Yamaguti superalgebras is closed under twisting by self-morphisms. Construction of some examples of Hom-Lie-Yamaguti superalgebras is given. The notion of an $n^{th}-$derived (binary) Hom-superalgebras is extended to the one of an $n^{th}…
The aim of this paper is to introduce the notion of restricted Hom- Lie superalgebras. This class of algebras is a generalization of both restricted Hom-Lie algebras and restricted Lie superalgebras. In this paper, we present a way to obtain restricted Hom-Lie superalgebras from the classical restricted Lie superalgebras along with algebra en- domorphisms. Homomorphisms relations between restricted Hom-Lie superalgebras are defined and studied. Also, we obtain some proper- ties of p-maps and restrictable Hom-Lie superalgebras.
A twisted generalization of Lie-Yamaguti algebras, called Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebras, is defined. Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebras generalize Hom-Lie triple systems (and susequently ternary Hom-Nambu algebras) and Hom-Lie algebras in the same way as Lie-Yamaguti algebras generalize Lie triple systems and Lie algebras. It is shown that the category of Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebras is closed under twisting by self-morphisms. Constructions of Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebras from classical Lie-Yamaguti algebras and Malcev algebras are given. It is observed that, when the ternary operation of a Hom-Lie-Yamaguti alge…
The purpose of this paper is to study the relationships between a Hom-Lie superalgebra and its induced 3-ary-Hom-Lie superalgebra. We provide an overview of the theory and explore the structure properties such as ideals, center, derived series, solvability, nilpotency, central extensions, and the cohomology.
A Hom-Lie-Yamaguti algebra, whose ternary operation expresses through its binary one in a specific way, is a multiplicative Hom-Malcev algebra. Any multiplicative Hom-Malcev algebra over a field of characteristic zero has a natural Hom-Lie-Yamaguti structure.
Every multiplicative Hom-Malcev algebra has a natural multiplicative Hom-Lie triple system structure. Moreover, there is a natural Hom-Bol algebra structure on every multiplicative Hom-Malcev algebra and on every multiplicative right (or left) Hom-alternative algebra.
This paper considers the multiplicative Hom-Lie superalgebra structures on infinite dimensional simple Lie superalgebras of vector fields with characteristic zero. The main result is that there is only the multiplicative Hom-Lie superalgebra structure on these Lie superalgebras.
In this paper, we define the Heisenberg Hom-Lie algebra. We determine the minimal dimension of faithful representation for Heisenberg Hom-Lie algebra. We study the adjoint representation, the trivial representation and the faithful representation of Heisenberg Hom-Lie algebra.
In this paper, first we give the cohomologies of an $n$-Hom-Lie algebra and introduce the notion of a derivation of an $n$-Hom-Lie algebra. We show that a derivation of an $n$-Hom-Lie algebra is a $1$-cocycle with the coefficient in the adjoint representation. We also give the formula of the dual representation of a representation of an $n$-Hom-Lie algebra. Then, we study $(n-1)$-order deformation of an $n$-Hom-Lie algebra. We introduce the notion of a Hom-Nijenhuis operator, which could generate a trivial $(n-1)$-order deformation of an $n$-Hom-Lie algebra. Finally, we introduce the notion of…
In this paper, we study Hom-Lie superalgebras of Heisenberg type. For 3-dimensional Heisenberg Hom-Lie superalgebras, we describe their Hom-Lie super structures, compute the cohomology spaces and characterize their infinitesimal deformations.
In this article, we use the theory of (non-abelian) exterior product of Hom-Lie algebras to prove the Hopf formula for these algebras. As an application, we construct an eight-term sequence in the homology of Hom-Lie algebras. We also investigate the capability property of Hom-Lie algebras via the exterior product.
In this paper, we introduce the notion of n-Hom-pre-Lie superalgebras. We investigate the representation theory of n-Hom-pre-Lie superalgebras and we give some related results and structures based on Rota-Baxter operators, O-operators and Nijenhuis operators. Moreover, we study relationships between n-Hom-pre-Lie superalgebras and its induced Hom-pre-Lie superalgebras. The same procedure is applied for the representations of n- Hom-pre-Lie superalgebras.
A Hom-Lie algebra $(L, α_L)$ is said to be capable if there exists a Hom-Lie algebra $(H, α_H)$ such that $L \cong H/Z(H)$. We obtain a characterisation of capable Hom-Lie algebras involving its epicentre and we use this theory to further study the six-term exact sequence in homology and to obtain a Hopf-type formulae of the second homology of perfect Hom-Lie algebras.
