Let $A_{m,n}$ be the tensor product of the Laurient polynomial algebra in $m$ even variables and the exterior algebra in $n$ odd variables over the complex field $\bC$, and the Witt superalgebra $W_{m,n}$ be the Lie superalgebra of superderivations of $A_{m,n}$. In this paper, we classify the simple weight $W_{m,n}$ modules with finite-dimensional weight spaces with respect to the standard Cartan algebra of $W_{m,0}$. Every such module is either a simple quotient of a tensor module or a module of highest weight type.
In this paper, we study the tensor module $P\otimes M$ over the Witt superalgebra $W_{m,n}^+$ (resp. $W_{m,n}$), where $P$ is a simple module over the Weyl superalgebra $K_{m,n}^+$ (resp. $K_{m,n}$) and $M$ is simple weight module over the general linear Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}(m,n)$. We obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions for $P\otimes M$ to be simple, and determine all simple subquotient of $P\otimes M$ when it is not simple. All the work leads to completion of some classification problems on the weight representation theory of $W_{m,n}^+$ and $W_{m,n}$.
The purpose of this paper is to define the representation and the cohomology of Hom-Lie superalgebras. Moreover we study Central extensions and provide as application the computations of the derivations and second cohomology group of q-deformed Witt superalgebra.
We construct a duality functor on the category of continuous representations of linearly compact Lie superalgebras, using representation theory of Lie conformal superalgebras. We compute the dual representations of the generalized Verma modules.
In this paper, we characterize quasi-integrable modules, of nonzero level, over twisted affine Lie superalgebras. We show that quasi-integrable modules are not necessarily highest weight modules. We prove that each quasi-integrable module is parabolically induced from a cuspidal module, over a finite dimensional Lie superalgebra having a Cartan subalgebra whose corresponding root system just contain real roots; in particular, the classification of quasi-integrable modules is reduced to the known classification of cuspidal modules over such Lie superalgebras.
Following analogous constructions for Lie algebras, we define Whittaker modules and Whittaker categories for finite-dimensional simple Lie superalgebras. Results include a decomposition of Whittaker categories for a Lie superalgebra according to the action of an appropriate sub-superalgebra; and, for basic classical Lie superalgebras of type I, a description of the strongly typical simple Whittaker modules.
We define regular Kac-Moody superalgebras and classify them using integrable modules. We give conditions for irreducible highest weight modules of regular Kac-Moody superalgebras to be integrable. This paper is a major part of the proof for the classification of finite-growth contragredient Lie superalgebras.
We describe Borel and parabolic subalgebras of affine Lie superalgebras and study the Verma type modules associated to such subalgebras. We give necessary and sufficient conditions under which these modules are simple.
We classify all simple bounded highest weight modules of a basic classical Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak g$. In particular, our classification leads to the classification of the simple weight modules with finite weight multiplicities over all classical Lie superalgebras. We also obtain some character formulas of strongly typical bounded highest weight modules of $\mathfrak g$.
In this paper, we classify simple strong Harish-Chandra modules over the Lie superalgebra $W_{m,n}$ of vector fields on $\C^{m|n}$. Any such module is the unique simple submodule of some tensor module $F(P,V)$ for a simple weight module $P$ over the Weyl superalgebra $\mathcal K_{m,n}$ and a simple weight module $V$ over the general linear superalgebra $\gl_{m,n}$.
We introduce a class of modules over Kac-Moody superalgebras; we call these modules snowflake. These modules are characterized by invariance property of their characters with respect to a certain subgroup of the Weyl group. Examples of snowflake modules appear as admissible modules in representation theory of affine vertex algebras and in classification of bounded weight modules. Using these modules we prove Arakawa's Theorem for the Lie superalgebra osp(1|2n).
We study tilting and projective-injective modules in a parabolic BGG category $\mathcal O$ for an arbitrary classical Lie superalgebra. We establish a version of Ringel duality for this type of Lie superalgebras which allows to express the characters of tilting modules in terms of those of simple modules in that category. We also obtain a classification of projective-injective modules in the full BGG category $\mathcal O$ for all simple classical Lie superalgebras. We then classify and give an explicit combinatorial description of parabolic subalgebras of the periplectic Lie superalgebras and …
In this article we construct a new class of finite dimensional irreducible modules genaralizing evaluation modules for multiloop superalgebra of type A(m,n) and C(m). We prove that these are the only such modules. In all other cases it is known that such modules are evaluation modules.
We classify simple Whittaker modules for classical Lie superalgebras in terms of their parabolic decompositions. We establish a type of Miličić-Soergel equivalence of a category of Whittaker modules and a category of Harish-Chandra bimodules. For classical Lie superalgebras of type I, we reduce the problem of composition factors of standard Whittaker modules to that of Verma modules in their BGG categories $\mathcal O$. As a consequence, the composition series of standard Whittaker modules over the general linear Lie superalgebras $\mathfrak{gl}(m|n)$ and the ortho-symplectic Lie superalgebras…
We classify integrable bounded simple weight modules over classical Lie superalgebras at infinity. We also study the categories of such modules, and we prove that for most of the classical Lie superalgebras at infinity the respective category is semisimple.
This work provides the first step toward the classification of irreducible finite weight modules over twisted affine Lie superalgebras. We study all such modules whether the canonical central element acts as a nonzero multiple of the identity map or not. Moreover, we reduce the classification of some subclasses of irreducible finite weight modules to the classification of cuspidal modules of finite dimensional cuspidal superalgebras which is known by a work of Dimitrov, Mathieu and Penkov.
In this paper we construct a large class of modules for toroidal Lie superalgebras. Toroidal Lie superalgebras are universal central extension of G tensor A where G is a basic classical Lie superalgebra and A is a Laurent polynomial ring in sevaral variables. The case where G is simple finite dimensional Lie algebra is included.
The polynomial which determine the simplicity of the Kac modules for the restricted Lie superalgebra gl(m,n) is completely determined by a characteristic free approach. Its application on the nonrestricted representation is investigated.
Let $Γ$ be a group acting on a scheme $X$ and on a Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{g}$, both defined over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero $\Bbbk$. The corresponding equivariant map superalgebra $M(\mathfrak{g}, X)^Γ$ is the Lie superalgebra of equivariant regular maps from $X$ to $\mathfrak{g}$. In this paper we complete the classification of finite-dimensional irreducible $M(\mathfrak{g}, X)^Γ$-modules when $\mathfrak{g}$ is a finite-dimensional simple Lie superalgebra, $X$ is of finite type and $Γ$ is a finite abelian group acting freely on the rational points of $X$, by cla…
For a twisted affine Lie superalgebra with nonzero odd part, we study {tight irreducible weight modules} with bounded weight multiplicities and show that if the action of nonzero real vectors of each affine component of the zero part is neither completely injective nor completely locally nilpotent, then these modules are parabolically induced.
We describe the category of integrable sl(1|n)^ -modules with the positive central charge and show that the irreducible modules provide the full set of irreducible representations for the corresponding simple vertex algebra.
This is a companion article to my papers on Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials and character formulae for the Lie superalgebras gl(m|n) (much revised!) and q(n). The goal is to develop the general theory of tilting modules for Lie superalgebras, working in a general graded setting very similar to work of Soergel (Character formulae for tilting modules over Kac-Moody algebras, Represent. Theory 2 (1998), 432-438) in the Lie algebra case. Examples are given involving the Lie superalgebras gl(m|n) and q(n), but maybe this will also be useful for the other classical and affine Lie superalgebras.
This paper aims to describe the restricted Kac modules of restricted Hamiltonian Lie superalgebras of odd type over an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p>3$. In particular, a sufficient and necessary condition for the restricted Kac modules to be irreducible is given in terms of typical weights.
Let $A_{m,n}$ be the tensor product of the polynomial algebra in $m$ even variables and the exterior algebra in $n$ odd variables over the complex field $\C$, and the Witt superalgebra $W_{m,n}$ be the Lie superalgebra of superderivations of $A_{m,n}$. In this paper, we classify the non-trivial simple bounded weight $W_{m,n}$ modules with respect to the standard Cartan algebra of $W_{m,n}$. Any such module is a simple quotient of a tensor module $F(P,L(V_1\otimes V_2))$ for a simple weight module $P$ over the Weyl superalgebra $\mathcal K_{m,n}$, a finite-dimensional simple $\gl_m$-module $V_1…
We determine the Verma multiplicities and the characters of projective modules for atypical blocks in the BGG Category O for the general linear Lie superalgebras $\frak{gl}(2|2)$ and $\frak{gl}(3|1)$. We then explicitly determine the composition factor multiplcities of Verma modules in the atypicality 2 block of $\frak{gl}(2|2)$.
For a simple Lie superalgebra of type BDFG, we give explicit formulas for singular vectors in a Verma module of highest weight $λ- ρ$, which have weight $s_γλ- ρ$ for certain positive non-isotropic roots $γ.$ This implies the existence of a nonzero homomorphism between the corresponding Verma modules.
We construct a Bernstein-Gelfand-Gelfand type resolution in terms of direct sums of Kac modules for the finite-dimensional irreducible tensor representations of the general linear superalgebra. As a consequence it follows that the unique maximal submodule of a corresponding reducible Kac module is generated by its proper singular vector.
We obtain a complete classification of all finite-dimensional irreducible modules over classical map superalgebras, provide formulas for their (super)characters and a description of their extension groups. Furthermore, we describe the block decomposition of the category of finite-dimensional modules for such map superalgebras. As an application, we specialize our results to the case of loop superalgebras in order to obtain a classification of finite-dimensional irreducible modules and block decomposition of the category of finite-dimensional modules over affine Lie superalgebras.
In this paper, a family of non-weight modules over Lie superalgebras $S(q)$ of Block type are studied. Free $U(η)$-modules of rank $1$ over Ramond-Block algebras and free $U(\mathfrak{h})$-modules of rank $2$ over Neveu-Schwarz-Block algebras are constructed and classified. Moreover, the sufficient and necessary conditions for such modules to be simple are presented, and their isomorphism classes are also determined. The results cover some existing results.
In this paper, we begin the study of highest weight representations of the quantized enveloping superalgebra ${\mathfrak U}_q {\mathfrak p}_n$ of type $P$. We introduce a Drinfeld-Jimbo representation and establish a triangular-decomposition of ${\mathfrak U}_q {\mathfrak p}_n$. We explain how to relate modules over ${\mathfrak U}_q {\mathfrak p}_n$ to modules over ${\mathfrak p}_n$, the Lie superalgebra of type $P$, and we prove that the category of tensor modules over ${\mathfrak U}_q {\mathfrak p}_n$ is not semisimple.
We describe the structure of a Verma module with a generic highest weight at the critical level over a symmetrizable affine Lie superalgebra not of the type A(2k,2l)^{(4)}. We obtain the character formula for a simple module with a generic highest weight at the critical level conjectured by V. G. Kac and D. A. Kazhdan.
We determine the Verma multiplicities of standard filtrations of projective modules for integral atypical blocks in the BGG category $\mathcal{O}$ for the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebras $\mathfrak{osp}(3|4)$ by way of translation functors. We then explicitly determine the composition factor multiplicities of Verma modules using BGG reciprocity.
Let $A$ be a commutative, associative algebra with unity over $\mathbb{C}$. Using the definition of global Weyl modules for the map superalgebras given by Calixto, Lemay, and Savage we explicitly describe the structure of certain quotients of the global Weyl modules for the map superalgebra $\mathfrak{sl}(2,1)\otimes A$. We also give a nice basis for these modules. This work is an extension of a Theorem of Feigin and Loktev describing the structure of the Weyl module for the map algebra $\mathfrak{sl}_2\otimes A$. This work can naturally be extended to similar quotients of the global Weyl modu…
We introduce the $N=2$ Lie conformal superalgebras ${\frak {K}}(p)$ of Block type, and classify their finite irreducible conformal modules for any nonzero parameter $p$. where $p$ is a nonzero complex number. In particular, we show that such a conformal module admits a nontrivial extension of a finite conformal module $M$ over $K_2$ if $p=-1$ and $M$ has rank $(2+2)$, where $K_2$ is an $N=2$ conformal subalgebra of ${\frak {K}}(p)$. As a byproduct, we obtain the classification of finite irreducible conformal modules over a series of finite Lie conformal superalgebras ${\frak k}(n)$ for $n\ge1$…
We prove an explicit condition on the level $k$ for the irreducibility of a vacuum module $V^{k}$ over a (non-twisted) affine Lie superalgebra, which was conjectured by M. Gorelik and V.G. Kac. An immediate consequence of this work is the simplicity conditions for the corresponding minimal W-algebras obtained via quantum reduction, in all cases except when the level $k$ is a non-negative integer.
We give a new interpretation of representation theory of the finite-dimensional half-integer weight modules over the queer Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{q}(n)$. It is given in terms of Brundan's work of finite-dimensional integer weight $\mathfrak{q}(n)$-modules by means of Lusztig's canonical basis. Using this viewpoint we compute the characters of the finite-dimensional half-integer weight irreducible modules. For a large class of irreducible modules whose highest weights are of special types (i.e., totally connected or totally disconnected) we derive closed-form character formulas that are re…
Let $\mathfrak{g} = \mathfrak{g}_{\overline{0}} \oplus \mathfrak{g}_{\overline{1}}$ be a Lie superalgebra over an algebraically closed field, $k$, of characteristic 0. An endotrivial $\mathfrak{g}$-module, $M$, is a $\mathfrak{g}$-supermodule such that $\operatorname{Hom}_k(M,M) \cong k_{ev} \oplus P$ as $\mathfrak{g}$-supermodules, where $k_{ev}$ is the trivial module concentrated in degree $\overline{0}$ and $P$ is a projective $\mathfrak{g}$-supermodule. In the stable module category, these modules form a group under the operation of the tensor product. We show that for an endotrivial modul…
The simple integrable modules with finite dimensional weight spaces are classified for the quantum affine special linear superalgebra $\U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}(M|N))$ at generic $q$. Any such module is shown to be a highest weight or lowest weight module with respect to one of the two natural triangular decompositions of the quantum affine superalgebra depending on whether the level of the module is zero or not. Furthermore, integrable $\U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}(M|N))$-modules at nonzero levels exist only if $M$ or $N$ is $1$.
We define global and local Weyl modules for $q \otimes A$, where $q$ is the queer Lie superalgebra and $A$ is an associative commutative unital $\mathbb{C}-$algebra. We prove that global Weyl modules are universal highest weight objects in certain category upto parity reversing functor $Π$. Then with the assumption that $A$ is finitely generated and with a special technical condition which simple root system of $q$ satisfy it is shown that the local Weyl modules are finite dimensional. Further they are universal highest map-weight objects in certain category upto $Π$. Finally we prove a tensor…
We classify the finite dimensional indecomposable sl(m/n)-modules with at least a typical or singly atypical primitive weight. We do this classification not only for weight modules, but also for generalized weight modules. We obtain that such a generalized weight module is simply a module obtained by ``linking'' sub-quotient modules of generalized Kac-modules. By applying our results to sl(m/1), we have in fact completely classified all finite dimensional sl(m/1)-modules.
We provide a systematic approach to obtain formulas for characters and Kostant ${\mathfrak u}$-homology groups of the oscillator modules of the finite dimensional general linear and ortho-symplectic superalgebras, via Howe dualities for infinite dimensional Lie algebras. Specializing these Lie superalgebras to Lie algebras, we recover, in a new way, formulas for Kostant homology groups of unitarizable highest weight representations of Hermitian symmetric pairs. In addition, two new reductive dual pairs related to the above-mentioned ${\mathfrak u}$-homology computation are worked out.
Let $Γ$ be a countable abelian semigroup and $A$ be a countable abelian group satisfying a certain finiteness condition. Suppose that a group $G$ acts on a $(Γ\times A)$-graded Lie superalgebra ${\frak L}=\bigoplus_{(α,a) \in Γ\times A} {\frak L}_{(α,a)}$ by Lie superalgebra automorphisms preserving the $(Γ\times A)$-gradation. In this paper, we show that the Euler-Poincaré principle yields the generalized denominator identity for ${\frak L}$ and derive a closed form formula for the supertraces $\text{str}(g|{\frak L}_{(α,a)})$ for all $g\in G$,$(α,a) \in Γ\times A$. We discuss the application…
We extend Kostant's result on annihilator ideals of non-singular simple Whittaker modules over Lie algebras to (possibly singular) simple Whittaker modules over Lie superalgebras. We describe these annihilator ideals in terms of certain primitive ideals coming from the category $\mathcal O$ for quasireductive Lie superalgebras. To determine these annihilator ideals, we develop annihilator-preserving equivalences between certain full subcategories of the Whittaker category $\tilde{\mathcal N}$ and the categories of certain projectively presentable modules in the category $\mathcal O$. These equ…
We prove that the tensor product of a simple and a finite dimensional $\mathfrak{sl}_n$-module has finite type socle. This is applied to reduce classification of simple $\mathfrak{q}(n)$-supermodules to that of simple $\mathfrak{sl}_n$-modules. Rough structure of simple $\mathfrak{q}(n)$-supermodules, considered as $\mathfrak{sl}_n$-modules, is described in terms of the combinatorics of category $\mathcal{O}$.
The complexity of the simple and the Kac modules over the general linear Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}(m|n)$ of type $A$ was computed by Boe, Kujawa, and Nakano in 2012. A natural continuation to their work is computing the complexity of the same family of modules over the ortho-symplectic Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(2|2n)$ of type $C$. The two Lie superalgebras are both of Type I which will result in similar computations. In fact, our geometric interpretation of the complexity agrees with theirs. We also compute a categorical invariant, z-complexity, introduced in Boe et al., and we in…
The complexity of a module is the rate of growth of the minimal projective resolution of the module while the $z$-complexity is the rate of growth of the number of indecomposable summands at each step in the resolution. Let $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{osp}(k|2)$ ($k>2$) be the type II orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra of types $B$ or $D$. In this paper, we compute the complexity and the $z$-complexity of the simple finite-dimensional $\mathfrak{g}$-supermodules. We then give geometric interpretations using support and associated varieties for these complexities.
Let $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{g}_{\bar{0}}\oplus \mathfrak{g}_{\bar{1}}$ be a classical Lie superalgebra and $\mathcal{F}$ be the category of finite dimensional $\mathfrak{g}$-supermodules which are completely reducible over the reductive Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}_{\bar{0}}$. In an earlier paper the authors demonstrated that for any module $M$ in $\mathcal{F}$ the rate of growth of the minimal projective resolution (i.e., the complexity of $M$) is bounded by the dimension of $\mathfrak{g}_{\bar{1}}$. In this paper we compute the complexity of the simple modules and the Kac modules for the Lie su…
Let $\frak{g}$ be a contact Lie superalgebra of odd type or special contact Lie superalgebra of odd type over an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p>3$. In this paper we study non-restricted representations of $\frak{g}$. By using induced Kac modules, we characterize all simple $\frak{g}$-modules with nonsingular or $Δ$-invertible $p$-characters. We also obtain all simple $\frak{g}$-modules with regular semisimple $p$-characters.
We initiate and develop the theory of finite $W$-superalgebras $\mathcal{W}_χ$ associated to the queer Lie superalgebra $\g=\q(N)$ and a nilpotent linear functional $χ\in \ev\g^*$. We show that the definition of the $W$-superalgebra is independent of various choices. We also establish a Skryabin type equivalence between the category of $\mathcal{W}_χ$-modules and a category of certain $\g$-modules.
We classify the blocks, compute the Verma flags of tilting and projective modules in the BGG category $\mathcal O$ for the exceptional Lie superalgebra $G(3)$. The projective injective modules in $\mathcal O$ are classified. We also compute the Jordan-Hölder multiplicities of the Verma modules in $\mathcal O$.
Rao and Zhao classified the irreducible integrable modules with finite dimensional weight spaces for the untwisted affine superalgebras which are not $\hat{A}(m,n)$ ($m\ne n$) or $\hat{C}(m)$. Here we treat the latter affine superalgebras to complete the classification. The problem boils down to classifying the irreducible zero-level integrable modules with finite dimensional weight spaces for these affine superalgebras, which is solved in this paper. We note in particular that such modules for $\hat{A}(m,n)$ ($m\ne n$) and $\hat{C}(m)$ must be of highest weight type, but are not necessarily l…
In the present paper, we introduce a class of infinite Lie conformal superalgebras $\mathcal{S}(p)$, which are closely related to Lie conformal algebras of extended Block type defined in \cite{CHS}. Then all finite non-trivial irreducible conformal modules over $\mathcal{S}(p)$ for $p\in\C^*$ are completely classified. As an application, we also present the classifications of finite non-trivial irreducible conformal modules over finite quotient algebras $\mathfrak{s}(n)$ for $n\geq1$ and $\mathfrak{sh}$ which is isomorphic to a subalgebra of Lie conformal algebra of $N=2$ superconformal algebr…
