Linear maps preserve the covariance sets

Let $\mathcal{A}$ and $\mathcal{B}$\ are $C^{\huge \ast}% $-algebras\textbf{.} A\textbf{ }linear map $ϕ:\mathcal{A\rightarrow B}$ is $C^{\ast}$-Jordan homomorphism if it is a Jordan homomorphism which preserves the adjoint operation. In this note we show that $C^{\ast}$-Jordan homomorphisms -- under mild assumptions -- preserving covariance set and covariance coset in $C^{\ast}$-algebras.

A Kowalski-Słodkowski theorem for 2-local $^*$-homomorphisms on von Neumann algebras

It is established that every (not necessarily linear) 2-local $^*$-homomorphism from a von Neumann algebra into a C$^*$-algebra is linear and a $^*$-homomorphism. In the setting of (not necessarily linear) 2-local $^*$-homomorphism from a compact C$^*$-algebra we prove that the same conclusion remains valid. We also prove that every 2-local Jordan $^*$-homomorphism from a JBW$^*$-algebra into a JB$^*$-algebra is linear and a Jordan $^*$-homomorphism.

On the strict topology of the multipliers of a JB$^*$-algebra

We introduce the Jordan-strict topology on the multipliers algebra of a JB$^*$-algebra, a notion which was missing despite the fourty years passed after the first studies on Jordan multipliers. In case that a C$^*$-algebra $A$ is regarded as a JB$^*$-algebra, the J-strict topology of $M(A)$ is precisely the well-studied C$^*$-strict topology. Born-Jordan Pseudo-Differential Operators with Symbols in the Shubin Classes

We apply Shubin's theory of global symbol classes $Γ_ρ^{m}$ to the Born-Jordan pseudodifferential calculus we have previously developed. This approach has many conceptual advantages, and makes the relationship between the conflicting Born-Jordan and Weyl quantization methods much more limpid. We give, in particular, precise asymptotic expansions of symbols allowing to pass from Born-Jordan quantization to Weyl quantization, and vice-versa. In addition we state and prove some regularity and global hypoellipticity results.

Preferred Quantization Rules: Born-Jordan vs. Weyl: the Pseudo-Differential Point of View

The Lattice and Simplex Structure of States on Pseudo Effect Algebras

We study states, measures, and signed measures on pseudo effect algebras with some kind of the Riesz Decomposition Property, (RDP). We show that the set of all Jordan signed measures is always an Abelian Dedekind complete $\ell$-group. Therefore, the state space of the pseudo effect algebra with (RDP) is either empty or a nonempty Choquet simplex or even a Bauer simplex. This will allow represent states on pseudo effect algebras by standard integrals.

Approximately order zero maps between C*-algebras

We investigate linear operators between C$^\ast$-algebras which approximately preserve involution and orthogonality, the latter meaning that for some $\varepsilon>0$ we have $\|ϕ(x)ϕ(y)\|\leq\varepsilon\|x\|\|y\|$ for all positive $x,y$ with $xy=0$. We establish some structural properties of such maps concerning approximate Jordan-like equations and almost commutation relations. In some situations (e.g. when the codomain is finite-dimensional), we show that $ϕ$ can be approximated by an approximate Jordan $^\ast$-homomorphism, with both errors depending only on $\|ϕ\|$ and $\varepsilon$.

Some homological properties of T-Lau product algebra

Let T be a homomorphism from a Banach algebra B to a Banach algebra A.The Cartesian product space A * B with T-Lau multiplication and l^1-norm becomes a new Banach algebra A *_T B. We investigate the notions such as approximate amenability, pseudo amenability, phi-pseudo amenability,phi-biflatness and phi-biprojectivity for Banach algebra A *_T B. We also present an example to show that approximate amenability of A and B is not stable for A *_T B. Finally we characterize the double centralizer algebra of A *_T B and present an application of this characterization.
