We have performed a calculation of the $D\bar D$, $D\bar D^\ast$, $D^\ast\bar D$, $D^\ast\bar D^\ast$ components in the wave function of the $ψ(3770)$. For this we make use of the $^3P_0$ model to find the coupling of $ψ(3770)$ to these components, that with an elaborate angular momentum algebra can be obtained with only one parameter. Then we use data for the $e^+e^-\to D\bar D$ reaction, from where we determine a form factor needed in the theoretical frame work, as well as other parameters needed to evaluate the meson-meson selfenergy of the $ψ(3770)$. Once this is done we determine the $Z$ probability to still have a vector core and the probability to have the different meson components. We find $Z$ about $80\sim85\%$, and the individual meson-meson components are rather small, providing new empirical information to support the largely $q\bar q$ component of vector mesons, and the $ψ(3770)$ in particular.
Motivated by the recently observation of the tetraquark $T_{cc}^+ $ state, in this work I revisit the Heavy-Meson Effective Theory to perform a simplified field-theoretical study of possible deuteron-like $D^{(\ast)} D ^{(\ast)}, \bar{B}^{(\ast)} \bar{B}^{(\ast)} $ and $D^{(\ast)} \bar{B}^{(\ast)} $ molecules. In particular, using the data from $T_{cc}^+ $ as input to fix the potential associated to the shallow-bound $ D D^{*} $ system with $I(J^P) = 1(1^+)$, the conditions for the formation of other loosely-bound states in the doubly charmed sector are analyzed. The other sectors are also dis…
Possible Bound States in the $D^\ast\bar D^\ast$/$B^\ast\bar B^\ast$ and $D^\ast D^\ast$/$\bar B^\ast\bar B^\ast$ Systems within the Bethe-Salpeter Formalism
We study the scalar bound states of $D^{\ast}\bar{D}^{\ast}$ and $B^{\ast}\bar{B}^{\ast}$ in the Bethe-Salpeter formalism, with the effective interaction kernel extracted from the chiral perturbative theory and the heavy quark effective theory in the ladder approximation and the covariant instantaneous approximation. The results show that, in the scalar case ($J=0$), there can only exist $I = 0$ bound states for parameters in proper range, while there cannot exist the $I = 1$ bound states in the whole reasonable parameter range, due to more constraints arising from our definition of the Bethe-…
We have performed an analysis of the $e^+ e^- \to D^{(*)} \bar D^{(*)}$ data in the region of the $ψ(4040)$ and $ψ(4160)$ resonances which have a substantial overlap and require special care. By using the $^3 P_0$ model to relate the different $D^{(*)} \bar D^{(*)}$ production modes, we make predictions for production of these channels and compare with experiment and other theoretical approaches. As a side effect we find that these resonances qualify largely as $c \bar c$ states and the weight of the meson-meson components in the wave function is very small.
In this work, the intermeson interactions of double-beauty $\bar{B}\bar{B}$, $\bar{B}\bar{B}^\ast$, and $\bar{B}^\ast\bar{B}^\ast$ systems have been studied with heavy meson chiral effective field theory. The effective potentials are calculated with Weinberg's scheme up to one-loop level. At the leading order, four body contact interactions and one pion exchange contributions are considered. In addition to two pion exchange diagrams, we include the one-loop chiral corrections to contact terms and one pion exchange diagrams at the next-to-leading order. The behaviours of effective potentials bo…
The $D^{(\ast)}Ξ_{cc}^{(\ast)}$ system and $\barΞ_{cc}^{(\ast)}Ξ_{cc}^{(\ast)}$ system can be related to the $D^{(\ast)}\bar{D}^{(\ast)}$ system via heavy anti-quark di-quark symmetry (HADS). In this work, we employ a contact-range effective field theory to systematically investigate the likely existence of molecules in these systems in terms of the hypothesis that X(3872) is a $1^{++}$~$D\bar{D}^{\ast}$ bound state in the isospin symmetry limit, with some of the unknown low energy constants estimated using the light-meson saturation approximation. In the meson-meson system, a $J^{PC}=2^{++}$~…
We studied the $D\bar{D}^\ast/\bar{D}D^\ast$, $D^\ast\bar{D}^\ast$, $\bar{D}_s D^\ast/\bar{D}_s^\ast D$, $B\bar{B}^\ast/\bar{B}B^\ast$ and $B^\ast\bar{B}^\ast$ di-hadron interactions in chiral effective field theory ($χ$EFT) up to the next-to-leading (NLO) order. The above-threshold tetraquark states $Z_c(3900)$, $Z_c(4020)$, $Z_{cs}(3985)$, $Z_b(10610)$, $Z_b(10650)$ can be explained as the corresponding di-hadron resonances, respectively. We also studied the $Σ_c^{(\ast)}\bar{D}^{(\ast)}$ interactions to investigate the three hidden-charm pentaquarks $P_c(4312)$, $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$.…
The three pentaquark states, $P_c(4312)$, $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$, discovered by the LHCb Collaboration in 2019, are widely recognized as $\bar{D}^{(\ast)}Σ_{c}$ hadronic molecules. Together with their four $\bar{D}^{(*)}Σ_{c}^{\ast}$ partners dictated by heavy quark spin symmetry they present a complete multiplet of hadronic molecules of $\bar{D}^{(\ast)}Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$. It is widely recognized that to understand their nature, other discovery channels play an important role. In this work, we investigate two three-body decay modes of the $\bar{D}^{(\ast)}Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$ molecules. The tree…
In this paper we study the semileptonic decays of $B^\ast$, $B_s^\ast$, and $B_c^\ast$ by using the Bethe-Salpeter method with instantaneous approximation. Both the $V\to Pl^-\barν_l$ and $V\to Vl^-\barν_l$ cases are considered. The largest partial width of these channels is of the order of $10^{-14}$ GeV. The branching ratios of these semileptonic decays are also estimated by using the partial width of the one photon decay channel to approximate the total width. For $B^{\ast-}\to D^{(\ast)0}e^-\barν_e$ and $B_s^{\ast0}\to D_s^{(\ast)+}e^-\barν_e$, the branching ratios are of the order of $10^…
We study the non-leptonic puzzle of $B_{d(s)} \rightarrow K^{(\ast)}\bar{K}^{(\ast)}$ decay in the $R$-parity violating minimal supersymmetric standard model (RPV-MSSM) extended with the inverse seesaw mechanism. In this model, the chiral flip of sneutrinos can contribute to the observables $L_{K\bar{K}}$ and $L_{K^{\ast}\bar{K}^{\ast}}$, that is benefit for explaining the relevant puzzle. We also find that this unique effect can engage in the $B_s$-$\bar{B}_s$ mixing. We utilize the scenario of complex $λ^\prime$ couplings to fulfill the recent stringent constraint of $B_s$-$\bar{B}_s$ mixing…
The three pentaquark states, $P_c(4312)$, $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$, discovered by the LHCb Collaboration in 2019, can be arranged into a complete heavy quark spin symmetry multiplet of hadronic molecules of $\bar{D}^{(\ast)}Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$. In the heavy quark mass limit, the $Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$ baryons can be related to the doubly charmed tetraquark states of isospin 1, i.e., $T_{\bar{c}\bar{c}}^{(\ast)}$( $T_{\bar{c}\bar{c}}^{0}$, $T_{\bar{c}\bar{c}}^{1}$, $T_{\bar{c}\bar{c}}^{2}$), via heavy antiquark diquark symmetry, which dictates that the $\bar{D}^{(\ast)}Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$ interactions are…
In the presented article we consider exclusive weak decays of doubly heavy baryons with spin $J=1/2$ with production of leptonic pair or a set of light mesons. Using QCD factorization theorem and spectral functions approach we obtain theoretical predictions for the partial probabilities of these decays and distributions over various kinematic variables. According to the obtaining results partial probabilities of some of researched decays are large enough to be observed experimentally.
Within the framework of the local hidden gauge approach, we have studied the near-threshold interaction of the $D^* \bar{D}^*$ channel with quantum numbers $I(J^{PC}) = 0(0^{++})$, $0(2^{++})$, $1(0^{++})$, and $1(2^{++})$, respectively. The contact interaction is taken into account alone, since it is expected to give the dominant contribution near the threshold. One pole, which is found in the case of the quantum numbers $I(J^{PC}) = 0(0^{++})$, could be associated to the $X(4014)$ recently observed by the Belle Collaboration. Thus, we suggest that the $X(4014)$ may be an $D^* \bar{D}^*$ mole…
In this work, we investigated the decays of the fully open-flavor tetraquark state $X_0(2900)$ which was observed by the LHCb Collaboration very recently. Here, the $X_0(2900)$ was assigned as a $S-$wave $\bar D^\ast K^\ast$ hadronic molecule with $I=0$, and the effective lagrangian approach was applied to estimate the partial decay widths. Moreover, we also predicted the decay behaviors of the other unobserved $X_{J(J=1,2)}$, which were the spin partners of the $X_0(2900)$ in the $S-$wave $\bar D^\ast K^\ast$ picture. It was pointed out that the $X_1$ state with $I=0$ was a broad state with t…
The current knowledge on the $D^{\ast}$ mesons are still inadequate. Encouraged by the positive development prospects of high-luminosity and high-precision experiments, the Cabibbo-favored nonleptonic $D^{\ast}$ ${\to}$ $\bar{K}π^{+}$, $\bar{K}^{\ast}π^{+}$, $\bar{K}ρ^{+}$ weak decays are studied with the naive factorization approach. It is found that branching ratios of these processes can reach up to ${\cal O}(10^{-10})$ or more, and can be accessible at STCF, CEPC, FCC-ee and LHCb@HL-LHC experiments in the future. It might even be possible to search for the $D^{{\ast}0}$ ${\to}$ $K^{{\ast}-…
The masses of the $D^\ast_{s0}(2317)$ and $D_{s1}(2460)$ resonances lie below the $DK$ and $D^\ast K$ thresholds respectively, which contradicts the predictions of naive quark models and points out to non-negligible effects of the $D^{(\ast)}K$ loops in the dynamics of the even-parity scalar ($J^π=0^+$) and axial-vector ($J^π=1^+$) $c\bar s$ systems. Recent lattice QCD studies, incorporating the effects of the $D^{(\ast)}K$ channels, analyzed these spin-parity sectors and correctly described the $D^\ast_{s0}(2317)-D_{s1}(2460)$ mass splitting. Motivated by such works, we study the structure of…
The $Z_{c}(3900)^\pm/Z_c(3885)^\pm$ and $Z_{c}(4020)^\pm$ are two charmonium-like structures discovered in the $πJ/ψ$ and $D^\ast\bar D^{(\ast)}+h.c.$ invariant mass spectra. Their nature is puzzling due to their charge, which forces its minimal quark content to be $c\bar c u\bar d$ ($c\bar c d\bar u$). Thus, it is necessary to explore four-quark systems in order to understand their inner structure. Additionally, their strong coupling to channels such as $πJ/ψ$ and the closeness of their mass to $D^\ast\bar D^{(\ast)}$-thresholds stimulates both a molecular interpretation or a coupled-channels…
$d^\ast(2380)$ was observed by WASA-at-COSY collaborations in the nuclear reaction recently. Its particularly narrow width may indicate the new QCD-allowed hadronic structure. To further confirm the existence of this peculiar particle in a totally different kind of reaction, we study the opportunity for searching $\bar{d}^\ast$ in the $Υ(nS)$ (with n=1, 2, 3) decay. As a phenomenological study, our framework is based on SU(3) chiral quark model. By virtue of the unitarity of $S$-matrix and crossing symmetry, we study the imaginary part of the forward scattering amplitudes between $Υ(nS)$ and $…
We demonstrate the roles of $D_{(s)}^\ast$ and their contributions in the quasi-two-body decays $B_{(s)} \to D_{(s)} h h^\prime$ ($h, h^\prime = \{π, K\}$) in the perturbative QCD approach, stemming from the quark flavour changing $\bar{b} \to \bar{c} \, q_2 \, \bar{q}_1$ and $\bar{b} \to c \, \bar{q_1} \, \bar{q_2}$ with $q_1, q_2 = \{s/d, u\}$. The main motivation of this study is the measurements of significant derivations from the simple phase-space model in the channels $B_{(s)} \to D_{(s)} h h^\prime$ at $B$ factories and LHC, which is now clarified as the Breit-Wigner-tail effects from …
The $Z_b(10610)^\pm$ and $Z_b(10650)^\pm$ are two bottomonium-like structures discovered in the $πh_b(mP)$, $πΥ(nS)$ and $B^\ast\bar B^{(\ast)}+h.c.$ invariant mass spectra, where $m=\{1,2\}$ and $n=\{1,2,3\}$. Their nature is puzzling due to their charge, which forces its minimal quark content to be $b\bar b u\bar d$ ($b\bar b d\bar u$). Thus, it is necessary to explore four-quark systems in order to understand their inner structure. Additionally, their strong coupling to channels such as $πΥ$ and the closeness of their mass to $B^\ast\bar B^{(\ast)}$-thresholds stimulates a molecular interpr…
The nature of the three pentaquark states, $P_{c}(4312)$, $P_{c}(4440)$ and $P_{c}(4457)$, discovered by the LHCb Collaboration in 2019, is still under debate, although the $\bar{D}^{(\ast)}Σ_{c}$ molecular interpretation seems to be the most popular. In this work, by adding a $\bar{D}$ meson into the $\bar{D}^{\ast}Σ_{c}$ pair, we investigate the mass and decay width of the three-body molecules $\bar{D}\bar{D}^{\ast}Σ_{c}$ and explore the correlation between the existence of the $\bar{D}\bar{D}^{\ast}Σ_{c}$ molecules with the existence of $\bar{D}^{(\ast)}Σ_{c}$ and $\bar{D}^{\ast}\bar{D}$ tw…
In this paper we discuss the Standard Model and new physics sensitivity of the $Λ_b\toΛ^\ast(1520)(\to N\!\bar{K})\ell^+\ell^-$ decay at low-recoil, where $\ell^\pm$ are massive leptons and $N\!\bar{K}=\{pK^-, n\bar{K}^0 \}$. We provide a full angular distribution with a set of operators that includes the Standard Model operators and their chirality flipped counterparts, and new scalar and pseudo-scalar operators. The resulting angular distribution allows us to construct observables that we study in the Standard Model and in model-independent new physics scenarios. To reduce the hadronic effec…
With quark-antiquark annihilation and creation in the first Born approximation, we study the reactions: $K \bar {K} \to K \bar {K}^\ast, ~K \bar{K} \to K^* \bar{K}, ~πK \to πK^\ast, ~πK \to ρK, ~ππ\to K \bar{K}^\ast, ~ππ\to K^\ast \bar{K}, ~ππ\to K^\ast \bar{K}^\ast, ~πρ\to K \bar{K}, ~πρ\to K^\ast \bar{K}^\ast, ~ρρ\to K^\ast \bar{K}^\ast, ~K \bar{K}^\ast \to ρρ$, and $K^* \bar{K} \to ρρ$. Unpolarized cross sections for the reactions are obtained from transition amplitudes that are composed of mesonic quark-antiquark relative-motion wave functions and the transition potential for quark-antiqua…
Very recently the LHCb Collaboration reported the discovery of two open charm tetraquark states, $X_{0}(2866)$ and $X_{1}(2904)$. In the present work, we study the $D^{(\ast)}$ and $\bar{K}^{(\ast)}$ interaction in the one-boson exchange model and show that the $X_{0}(2866)$ can be understood as a $D^{\ast}\bar{K}^{\ast}$ molecule with $I(J^{P})=0(0^{+})$, or at least it has a large molecular component. On the other hand, the $X_{1}(2904)$ can not be interpreted as a molecular state. Inspired by the discovery of the $X_0(2866)$ and the fact that the $D^*\bar{K}^*$ interaction is strong enough …
The decay widths of $Υ(nS)$ $\rightarrow$ $\bar{d}^{\ast}(2380)+X$ with $n=1,2,3$ are studied in a phenomenological way. With the help of crossing symmetry, the decay widths are obtained by investigating the imaginary part of the forward scattering amplitudes between $d^\ast$ and $Υ(nS)$. The wave functions of $d^\ast$ and deuteron obtained in previous studies are used for calculating the amplitude. The interaction between $d^{\ast}$ ($d$) and $Υ$ is governed by the quark-meson interaction where the coupling constant is determined by fitting the observed widths of $Υ(nS)$ $\rightarrow$ $\bar{d…
We study the Kondo effect for a $Σ_{c}$ ($Σ_{c}^{\ast}$) baryon in nuclear matter. In terms of the spin and isospin ($\mathrm{SU}(2)_{\mathrm{spin}} \times \mathrm{SU}(2)_{\mathrm{isospin}}$) symmetry, the heavy-quark spin symmetry and the S-wave interaction, we provide the general form of the Lagrangian for a $Σ_{c}$ ($Σ_{c}^{\ast}$) baryon and a nucleon. We analyze the renormalization equation at the one-loop level, and find that the coexistence of spin exchange and isospin exchange magnifies the Kondo effect in comparison with the case where the spin-exchange interaction and the isospin-exc…
