We propose a new physics model which has a cold dark matter candidate and can explain the $b \to s μ^+μ^-$ anomaly at the same time. Our model includes a scalar quark $\widetilde{q}$ and a scalar lepton $\widetilde{\ell}$ which are $SU(2)_L$-doublet as well as a Dirac fermion $N$ which is $SU(2)_L$-singlet. The new particles are charged under a gauged $U(1)_X$ group which is spontaneously broken to a discrete $Z_2$ symmetry by a dark scalar $S$. The remnant $Z_2$ symmetry stabilizes the dark matter. Box diagrams with $\widetilde{q}$, $\widetilde{\ell}$, and $N$ running inside the loop can generate the correct Wilson coefficients $C_9^μ= -C_{10}^μ$ to accommodate the $b \to s μ^+μ^-$ anomaly while avoiding constraints such as $B_s-\overline{B}_s$ mixing. The dark matter annihilation into a second generation lepton pair via $t$-channel $\widetilde{\ell}$-exchanging process plays an important role in producing the current dark matter relic abundance of the universe, showing a strong interplay between the flavor and dark matter physics. We also discuss dark-gauge-interaction-dominated and Higgs-portal-dominated scenarios for dark matter physics.
Despite the popularity of two-Higgs-doublet models (2HDMs) with a gauged abelian flavor symmetry, the allowed Yukawa textures have only been partly explored so far. In this work, we classify and compare every anomaly-free instance, in the case of having two generations of right-handed neutrinos and a type-I seesaw mechanism. We found 16 valid implementations in total, out of which 11 agree well with current experimental bounds. To our knowledge, neither of these models have been considered previously.
We review the gauging of an R-symmetry in local and global susy. We then construct the first anomaly-free models. We break the R-symmetry and susy at the Planck scale and discuss the low-energy effects. We include a solution to the mu-problem, and the prediction of observable effects at HERA. The models also nicely allow for GUT-scale baryogenesis and R-parity violation without the sphaleron interactions erasing the baryon-asymmetry.
The Atomki collaboration has reported that unexpected excesses have been observed in the rare decays of Beryllium nucleus. It is claimed that such excesses can suggest the existence of a new boson, called $X$, with the mass of about $17$ MeV. To solve the Atomki anomaly, we consider a model with gauged $U(1)_R$ symmetry and identify the new gauge boson with the $X$ boson. We also introduce two $SU(2)$ doublet Higgs bosons and one singlet Higgs boson, and discuss a very stringent constraint from neutrino-electron scattering. It is found that the $U(1)_R$ charges of the doublet scalars are deter…
Gauged $U(1)_{L_μ- L_τ}$ model has been advocated for a long time in light of muon $g-2$ anomaly, which is a more than $3σ$ discrepancy between the experimental measurement and the standard model prediction. We augment this model with three right-handed neutrinos $(N_e, N_μ, N_τ)$ and a vector-like singlet fermion $(χ)$ to explain simultaneously the non-zero neutrino mass and dark matter content of the Universe, while satisfying anomalous muon $g-2$ constraints. It is shown that in a large parameter space of this model we can explain positron excess, observed at PAMELA, Fermi-LAT and AMS-02, t…
We consider an explanation of CDF II W bosom mass anomaly by $Z-Z'$ mixing with $U(1)_R$ gauge symmetry under which right-handed fermions are charged. It is found that $U(1)_R$ is preferred to be leptophobic to accommodate the anomaly while avoiding other experimental constraints. In such a case we require extra charged leptons to cancel quantum anomalies and the SM charged leptons get masses via interactions with the extra ones. These interactions also induce muon $g-2$ and lepton flavor violations. We discuss muon $g-2$, possible flavor constraints, neutrino mass generation via inverse seesa…
We study the gauged $U(1)_{L_μ-L_τ}$ scotogenic model with emphasis on latest measurement of LHCb $R_{K^{(*)}}$ anomaly and AMS-02 positron excess. In this model, neutrino masses are induced at one-loop level with $Z_2$-odd particles, i.e., right-handed neutrinos $N_\ell(\ell=e,μ,τ)$ and inert scalar doublet $η$ inside the loop. Meanwhile, the gauged $U(1)_{L_μ-L_τ}$ symmetry is broken spontaneously by the scalar singlet $S$, resulting to the massive gauge boson $Z'$. Provided certain couplings to quarks induced by heavy vector-like quarks, the gauge boson $Z'$ would contribute to the transiti…
Two-Higgs-doublet models (2HDMs) with a flavored U(1)' gauge symmetry are a popular extension to the Standard Model (SM), yet they currently lack a complete survey. In this paper, we present a full classification of anomaly-free 2HDMs within the SM fermion content, resulting in a total of eleven distinct models. Four of these are relatively well-studied, while the rest either partially, or entirely, lack previous treatment. We study these textures under a variety of experimental bounds, focusing mainly on the previously unexplored models. This work is intended to act as a catalog to models wor…
We present an analysis showing how anomaly free fermionic spectra with consistent embeddings of the Standard Model spectrum under $SU(3)_C\times SU(2)_L\times U(1)_Y \subset SU(3)_C\times SU(N)_L\times U(1)_X$ for any $N>2$ can be obtained, with special focus on the $N=3 {and} 4$ cases. The construction is motivated by the little Higgs mechanism. We discuss the relevancy of the fermionic spectra to the latter, concentrating on two N=4 models, without fermions of exotic charges. Such models hold the promise to address and solve all the major theoretical as well as phenomenological problems of t…
In light of the recent 750 GeV diphoton anomaly observed at the LHC, we study the possibility of accommodating the deviation from the standard model prediction based on the recently proposed Gauged Two Higgs Doublet Model. The model embeds two Higgs doublets into a doublet of a non-abelian gauge group $SU(2)_H$, while the standard model $SU(2)_L$ right-handed fermion singlets are paired up with new heavy fermions to form $SU(2)_H$ doublets, and $SU(2)_L$ left-handed fermion doublets are singlets under $SU(2)_H$. An $SU(2)_H$ scalar doublet, which provides masses to the new heavy fermions as we…
We propose a simple extension of the standard model where neutrinos get naturally small "scotogenic" Dirac masses from an unbroken gauged $B-L$ symmetry, ensuring dark matter stability. The associated gauge boson gets mass through the Stueckelberg mechanism. Two scenarios are identified, and the resulting phenomenology briefly sketched.
We explore the idea that dark matter stability results from the presence of a matter-parity symmetry, arising naturally as a consequence of the spontaneous breaking of an extended $\mathrm{SU(3) \otimes SU(3)_L \otimes U(1)_X \otimes U(1)_{N}}$ electroweak gauge symmetry with fully gauged B-L. Using this framework we construct a theory for scotogenic dark matter and analyze its main features.
We study a dark matter model with local B-3L_i symmetry that is known as anomaly free and requires a single right-handed neutrino. Here we have two dark matter candidates; that is, fermionic or bosonic one. We focus on analyzing each of the case within the light mass region, which is required by the perturbative theory of the Higgs quartic coupling.
We discuss a new radiative seesaw model with the gauged B$-$L symmetry which is spontaneously broken. We improve the previous model by using the anomaly-free condition without introducing too many fermions. In our model, dark matter, tiny neutrino masses and neutrino oscillation data can be explained simultaneously, assuming the B$-$L symmetry breaking at the TeV scale.
We consider the inclusion of TeV-scale, fermionic dark matter in an asymptotically safe model of gauged baryon number that has been recently proposed [Phys. Rev. D 106, no. 3, 035015 (2022)]. The new gauge boson serves as a portal between the dark and the visible sectors. The range of the baryon number gauge coupling and the kinetic mixing between baryon number and hypercharge are constrained by the requirement that nontrivial ultraviolet fixed points are reached. We show that this asymptotically safe dark matter model can achieve the correct dark matter relic density while remaining consisten…
We propose a scenario of the right-handed neutrino dark matter in the context of the minimal gauged $U(1)_{B-L}$ model by introducing an additional parity which ensures the stability of dark matter particle. The annihilation of this right-handed neutrino takes place dominantly through the s-channel Higgs boson exchange, so that this model can be called Higgs portal dark matter model. We show that the thermal relic abundance of the right-handed neutrino dark matter with help of Higgs resonance can match the observed dark matter abundance. In addition we estimate the cross section with nucleon a…
We study neutrino and dark matter based on a gauged $U(1)_R$ symmetry in a framework of radiative seesaw scenario. Identifying dark matter as a bosoninc particle, it interacts with quark and lepton sectors through vector-like heavier quark and leptons, and plays an role in generating neutrino mass matrix together with neutral heavier fermions. We explore several constraints for masses and couplings related to dark matter by computing relic density and direct search, taking the neutrino oscillation, lepton flavor violations, and muon anomalous magnetic moment into account. Finally, we briefly m…
We add fermions to an abelian-gauged hidden sector. We show that the lightest can be the dark matter with the right thermal relic abundance, and discovery is within reach of upcoming dark matter detectors. We also show that these fermions change Higgs boson phenomenology at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), and in particular could induce a large invisible width to the lightest Higgs boson state. Such an invisibly decaying Higgs boson can be discovered with good significance in the vector boson fusion channel at the LHC.
In earlier work we analyzed an abelianized model in which a gauged Rarita-Schwinger spin-$\frac{3}{2}$ field is directly coupled to a spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ field. Here we extend this analysis to the gauged $SU(8)$ model for which the abelianized model was a simplified substitute. We calculate the gauge anomaly, show that anomaly cancellation requires adding an additional left chiral representation $\overline{8}$ spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ fermion to the original fermion complement of the $SU(8)$ model, and give options for restoring boson-fermion balance. We conclude with a summary of attractive features…
Lepton number is promoted to an $U(1)_L$ gauge symmetry in a simple extension of the standard model. The spontaneous breaking of $U(1)_L$ by three units allows a conserved $Z_3^L$ lepton symmetry to remain, guaranteeing that neutrinos are Dirac fermions, which acquire naturally small masses from a previously proposed mechanism. Dark matter appears as a singlet scalar, with dark symmetry $Z_3^D$ derivable from $Z_3^L$. Muon $g-2$ may be explained.
An extension of the Standard Model with anomaly free $U(1)_F$ flavor symmetry is studied in this paper. With this extension and the addition of the right-handed neutrino states, the solution of anomaly free charge assignments is found, which gives appealing texture zero and hierarchical Yukawa matrices. This gives us a natural understanding of the hierarchies between charged fermion masses and Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix elements. Neutrino Dirac and Majorana coupling matrices also have desirable structures leading to successful neutrino oscillations with inverted neutrino mass order…
A pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone boson (pNGB) is an attractive candidate for dark matter since the current severe limits of dark matter direct detection experiments are naturally evaded by its nature. We construct a model with pNGB dark matter based on a {\it gauged} $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetry, where no ad-hoc global symmetry is assumed. The model keeps natural suppression mechanism for the dark matter direct detection cross section. On the other hand, the pNGB can decay through the new high scale suppressed operators. We show that the pNGB has long enough lifetime to be a dark matter in the wide range of …
We investigate the possibility of unifying the inflation and dark matter physics in the minimal model for a complex scalar dark matter with gauged $Z_3$ symmetry. The dark local $U(1)$ symmetry is broken spontaneously into the $Z_3$ symmetry by the dark Higgs mechanism. As compared to dark matter models with $Z_2$ parity, the dark matter cubic self-interaction restricts the inflation with non-minimal couplings to take place beyond the pure dark matter direction and plays an important role in the loop corrections for the inflationary predictions as well as determining the correct dark matter re…
We propose a hidden gauged $U(1)_H$ $Z'$ model to explain deviations from the Standard Model (SM) values in lepton flavor universality known as $R_K$ and $R_D$ anomalies. The $Z'$ only interacts with the SM fermions via their mixing with vector-like doublet fermions after the $U(1)_H$ symmetry breaking, which leads to $b \to s μμ$ transition through the $Z^{\prime}$ at tree level. Moreover, introducing an additional mediator, inert-Higgs doublet, yields $b\to c τν$ process via charged scalar contribution at tree level. Using flavio package, we scrutinize adequate sizes of the relevant Wilson c…
In both scotogenic neutrino and flavor dark matter models, the dark sector communicates with the standard model fermions via Yukawa portal couplings. We propose an economic scenario that scotogenic neutrino and flavored mediator share the same inert Higgs doublet and all are charged under a hidden gauged $U(1)$ symmetry. The dark Z2 symmetry in dark sector is regarded as the remnant of this hidden $U(1)$ symmetry breaking. In particular, we investigate a dark $U(1)_D$ (and also a $U(1)_{B-L}$) model which unifies scotogenic neutrino and top-flavored mediator. In this model dark tops and dark n…
We study a radiative inverse seesaw model with local B-L symmetry, in which we extend the neutrino mass structure that is generated through a kind of inverse seesaw framework to the more generic one than our previous work. We focus on a real part of bosonic particle as a dark matter and investigate the features in O(1-80) GeV mass range, reported by the experiments such as CoGeNT and XENON (2012).
We study the inclusion of new heavy fermions on complex scalar dark matter (DM) phenomenology within gauged two Higgs doublet model (G2HDM). We find that for DM mass above 1 TeV, heavy quarks coannihilations into the Standard Model (SM) quarks and gluons dominate the thermally-averaged cross section relevant for the relic abundance of complex scalar DM. We demonstrate that the effects of QCD Sommerfeld correction as well as QCD bound state formation in determining the DM relic are negligible. We show that the allowed parameter space is significantly constrained by the current PLANCK relic dens…
We discuss the results of a search for anomaly free Abelian Z_N discrete symmetries that lead to automatic R-parity conservation and prevents dangerous higher-dimensional proton decay operators in simple extensions of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model (MSSM) based on the left-right symmetric group, the Pati-Salam group and SO(10). We require that the superpotential for the models have enough structures to be able to give correct symmetry breaking to MSSM and potentially realistic fermion masses. We find viable models in each of the extensions and for all the cases, ano…
We propose a model which generates neutrino masses by the inverse seesaw mechanism, provides a viable dark matter candidate and explains the muon ($g-2$) anomaly. The Standard Model (SM) gauge group is extended with a gauged U(1)$_{\rm B-L}$ as well as a gauged U(1)$_{\rm L_μ - L_τ}$. While U(1)$_{\rm L_μ - L_τ}$ is anomaly free, the anomaly introduced by U(1)$_{\rm B-L}$ is cancelled between the six SM singlet fermions introduced for the inverse seesaw mechanism and four additional chiral fermions introduced in this model. After spontaneous symmetry breaking the four chiral fermionic degrees …
We propose a scenario of dark sector described by a hidden $SU(2)$ gauge symmetry which is broken by a vacuum expectation value(VEV) of a scalar multiplet. We discuss a general mass relation among $SU(2)$ gauge bosons after spontaneous symmetry breaking which is determined by weight of gauge group representation associated with a scalar multiplet developing VEV. Then a model with quintet and triplet scalar fields is discussed in which hidden gauge boson can be dark matter(DM) stabilized by remnant discrete $Z_2$ symmetry and resonant dark matter annihilation is realized by mass relation betwee…
We present an economical model where an $S^{}_1$ leptoquark and an anomaly-free $U(1)^{}_X$ gauge symmetry with $X = B^{}_3-2L^{}_μ/3-L^{}_τ/3$ are introduced, to account for the muon anomalous magnetic moment $a^{}_μ\equiv (g^{}_μ-2)$ and flavor puzzles including $R^{}_{K^{(\ast)_{}}}$ and $R^{}_{D^{(\ast)_{}}}$ anomalies together with quark and lepton flavor mixing. The $Z^\prime_{}$ gauge boson associated with the $U(1)^{}_X$ symmetry is responsible for the $R^{}_{K^{(\ast)_{}}}$ anomaly. Meanwhile, the specific flavor mixing patterns of quarks and leptons can be generated after the spontan…
Spontaneously broken, flavour-dependent, gauged $U(1)$ extensions of the Standard Model (SM) have many phenomenological uses. We chart the space of solutions to the gauge anomaly cancellation equations in such extensions, for both the SM chiral fermion content and the SM plus (up to) three right-handed neutrinos (SM$ν_R$). Methods from Diophantine analysis allow us to efficiently index the solutions arithmetically, and produce the complete solution space in particular cases. In order to solve the general case, we build a computer program which cycles through possible $U(1)$ charge assignments,…
We investigate the phenomenology of flavored dark matter (DM). DM stability is guaranteed by an accidental ${\mathcal Z}_3$ symmetry, a subgroup of the standard model (SM) flavor group that is not broken by the SM Yukawa interactions. We consider an explicit realization where the quark part of the SM flavor group is fully gauged. If the dominant interactions between DM and visible sector are through flavor gauge bosons, as we show for Dirac fermion flavored DM, then the DM mass is bounded between roughly $0.5$ TeV and $5$ TeV if the DM multiplet mass is split only radiatively. In general, howe…
We propose an economical model addressing the generation of the Inverse Seesaw mechanism from the spontaneous breaking of a local $U(1)_{B-L}$, with the Majorana masses of the sterile neutrinos radiatively generated from the dark sector. The field content of the Standard Model is extended by neutral scalars and fermionic singlets, and the gauge group is extended with a $U(1)_{B-L}$ and a discrete $\mathbb{Z}_4$ symmetries. Besides dynamically generating the Inverse Seesaw and thus small masses to the active neutrinos, our model offers two possible dark matter candidates, one scalar and one fer…
We propose a radiative seesaw model with a hidden $U(1)$ gauge symmetry. In order to have anomaly cancellations, we need to introduce several new fermions that contribute to muon anomalous magnetic dipole moment $(g-2)_μ$ as well as explain the neutrino oscillation data. We also consider a fermionic dark matter candidate that correlates with $(g-2)_μ$ and neutrino mass matrix at the same time. We show allowed regions in our input parameters satisfying several constraints. Finally, we also briefly discuss the possibility of the resolution of the Hubble tension via neutrino self-interactions med…
A simple model is constructed based on the gauge symmetry $SU(3)_c \times SU(2)_L \times U(1)_Y \times SU(2)_\ell$, with only the leptons transforming nontrivially under $SU(2)_\ell$. The extended symmetry is broken down to the Standard Model gauge group at TeV-scale energies. We show that this model provides a mechanism for baryogenesis via leptogenesis in which the lepton number asymmetry is generated by $SU(2)_\ell$ instantons. The theory also contains a dark matter candidate - the $SU(2)_\ell$ partner of the right-handed neutrino.
Motivated by the very recent cosmic-ray electron+positron excess observed by DAMPE collaboration, we investigate a Dirac fermion dark matter (DM) in the gauged $L_e - L_μ$ model. DM interacts with the electron and muon via the $U(1)_{e-μ}$ gauge boson $Z^{'}$. The model can explain the DAMPE data well. Although a non-zero DM-nucleon cross section is only generated at one loop level and there is a partial cancellation between $Z^{'}ee$ and $Z^{'}μμ$ couplings, we find that a large portion of $Z^{'}$ mass is ruled out from direct DM detection limit leaving the allowed $Z^{'}$ mass to be close to…
We propose a radiative seesaw model with a light dark matter candidate (DM) under modular $A_4$ and gauged $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetries, in which neutrino masses are generated via one-loop level, and we have a bosonic DM candidate $\sim 0.01-50$ GeV. DM is stabilized by nonzero modular weight and a remnant $Z_2$ symmetry of $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetry. The naturalness of tiny DM mass is indirectly realized by the radiatively induced mass of neutral fermions that interact with our DM candidate. Thus, DM mass does not have to exceed the neutral fermion masses, whose scale is assumed to be 50 GeV. Taking se…
We studied Dark Matter (DM) phenomenology with multiple DM species consisting of both scalar and vector DM particles in the Hidden Gauged SU(3) model of Arcadi et al. Because of the large parameter space in the Hidden Gauged SU(3) model we restrict ourselves to three representative benchmark points, each with multiple DM species. The relic densities for the benchmark points were found using a program developed to solve the coupled Boltzmann equations for an arbitrary number of interacting DM species with two particles in the final state. For each case, we varied the mass of the DM particles an…
Positron excess upto energies $\sim$350 GeV has been observed by AMS-02 result and it is consistent with the positron excess observed by PAMELA upto 100 GeV. There is no observed excess of anti-protons over the expected CR background. We propose a leptophilic dark matter with an $U(1)_{L_μ-L_τ}$ gauge extension of MSSM. The dark matter is an admixture of the $L_μ-L_τ$ gaugino and fermionic partners of the extra $SU(2)$ singlet Higgs boson, which break the $L_μ-L_τ$ symmetry. We construct the SM$\otimes U(1)_{ L_μ-L_τ}$ SUSY model which provides the correct relic density of dark matter and is c…
We proposed a model which can explain the neutrino phenomenology, dark matter and anomalous magnetic moment$(g-2)$ in a common framework. The inverted sea saw (ISS)(2,3) mechanism has been incorporated, in which we get an extra sterile state and this state act as a viable dark matter candidate. The right handed neutrino mass is obtained in TeV scale, which is accessible at LHC. The anomaly free $U(1)_{L_{e}-Lμ}$ gauge symmetry is introduced to explain the anomalous magnetic moment of electron and muon because it provides a natural origin of $(g-2)$ in a very minimal setup. The corresponding Me…
We study Dark Matter (DM) phenomenology with multiple DM species consisting of both scalar and vector DM particles. More specifically, we study the Hidden Gauged SU(3) model of Arcadi {\it et al}. Before proceeding to the Hidden Gauged SU(3) model, we study the relic abundances of simplified multi-species DM scenarios to gain some insights when multiple species and interactions are included. In the Hidden Gauged SU(3) model, because of the large parameter space, we restrict ourselves to three representative benchmark points, each with multiple DM species. The relic densities for the benchmark …
We investigate how the Fine-Tuning (FT) in the B-L Supersymmetric Standard Model (BLSSM) compares to the Minimally Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), where both models have universality. This is done for two scales: both low (i.e. collider) and high (i.e. Grand Unified Theory (GUT)) scales. We see this is similar for both models and the two scale regimes. We also study the possible Dark Matter (DM) candidates each model offers in a realistic scenario satisfying relic density constraints. Our findings are that whilst the parameter space for the single MSSM DM candidate is severely constraine…
We propose a new model where the Dirac mass term for neutrinos, the Majorana mass term for right-handed neutrinos, and the other new fermion masses arise via the spontaneous breakdown of the $U(1)_{B-L}$ gauge symmetry. The anomaly-free condition gives four sets of assignment of the B-L charge to new particles, and three of these sets have an associated global $U(1)_{DM}$ symmetry which stabilizes dark matter candidates. The dark matter candidates contribute to generating the Dirac mass term for neutrinos at the one-loop level. Consequently, tiny neutrino masses are generated at the two-loop l…
We study the phenomenon of baryogenesis via leptogenesis in the gauged $B-L$ symmetric models by embedding the currently proposed model $νMSM$. It is shown that the lightest right handed neutrino of mass $100 GeV$ satisfy the leptogenesis constraint and at the same time representing a candidate for the cold dark matter. We discuss our results in parallel to the predictions of $νMSM$.
Minimal gauged U(1)$_{L_μ-L_τ}$ models can provide for an additional source for the muon anomalous magnetic moment however it is difficult to accommodate the discrepancy in the electron magnetic moment in tandem. Owing to the relative sign between the discrepancies in these quantities, it seems unlikely that they arise from the same source. We show that a supersymmetric (SUSY) gauged U(1)$_{L_μ-L_τ}$ model can accommodate both the muon and electron anomalous magnetic moments in a very simple and intuitive scenario, without utilizing lepton flavor violation. The currently allowed parameter spac…
We study a model with $U(1)$ gauged lepton number symmetry in which the active neutrino masses are generated at two-loop level through the spontaneous breaking of the lepton number symmetry. To cancel gauge anomalies some exotic leptons are introduced that also play an important role in generating neutrino masses and the lightest neutral one can be a dark matter candidate. We discuss a phenomenology of the neutral fermion sector including dark matter, lepton flavor violations, and an extra neutral gauge boson $Z'$ that can be tested by $e^+ e^-$ collision at the International Linear Collider (…
We discuss local \R-symmetry as a potentially powerful new model building tool. We first review and clarify that a $U(1)$ \R-symmetry can only be gauged in local and not in global supersymmetry. We determine the anomaly-cancellation conditions for the gauged \R-symmetry. For the standard superpotential these equations have {\it no} solution, independently of how many Standard Model singlets are added to the model. There is also no solution when we increase the number of families and the number of pairs of Higgs doublets. When the Green-Schwarz mechanism is employed to cancel the anomalies, sol…
Motivated by recently reported anomalies in a decay of an excited state of beryllium by the Atomki collaboration, we study a radiative seesaw model with gauged $B-L$ symmetry and a $Z_2$ parity. Assuming that the anomalies originate from the decay of the $B-L$ gauge boson followed by the nuclear decay, the mass of the lightest right-handed neutrino or the dark matter candidate can be determined below $10$ GeV. We show that for this mass range, the model can explain the anomalies in the beryllium decay and the relic dark matter abundance consistent with neutrino masses. We also predict its spin…
We propose a gauged $U(1)_{B-L}$ extension of the standard model (SM) to explain simultaneously the light neutrino masses and dark matter (DM). The generation of neutrino masses occurs through a variant of type-II seesaw mechanism in which one of the scalar triplets lies at the TeV scale yet have a large dilepton coupling, which paves a path for probing this model at colliders. The gauging of $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetry in a type-II seesaw framework introduces $B-L$ anomalies. Therefore we invoke three right handed neutrinos $ν_{R_{i}}$(i=1,2,3) with $B-L$ charges -4,-4,+5 to cancel the anomalies. W…
The supersymmetric extension of the standard model suffers from a problem of baryon-number violation. Discrete (and global) symmetries introduced to protect the proton are unstable under gravitational effects. We add a gauged $U(1)_X$ to the standard model gauge group $G_{SM}$ and require it to be anomaly-free. As new (chiral) superfields we only allow $G_{SM}$-singlets in order to maintain the good unification predictions. We find the most general set of solutions for the rational singlet charges. We embed our models in {\it local} supersymmetry and study the breaking of supersymmetry and $U(…
The gauged $U(1)_{L_μ-L_τ}$ model can provide for additional contributions to the muon anomalous magnetic moment by means of a loop involving the $Z^{\prime}$ gauge boson. However, the parameter space of such models is severely constrained if one combines the latest muon $(g-2)$ data with various neutrino experiments, such as neutrino trident production, $ν-e$ and $ν-q$ elastic scattering, etc. In a supersymmetric $U(1)_{L_μ-L_τ}$ model, a larger region of parameter space opens up, thus enabling one to explore otherwise forbidden regions of parameter space in nonsupersymmetric models involving…
We study a neutrino model introducing an additional nontrivial gauged lepton symmetry where the neutrino masses are induced at two-loop level while the first and second charged-leptons of the standard model are done at one-loop level. As a result of model structure, we can predict one massless active neutrino, and there is a dark matter candidate. Then we discuss neutrino mass matrix, muon anomalous magnetic moment, lepton flavor violations, oblique parameters, and relic density of dark matter taking into account the experimental constraints.
