We study the inclusion of new heavy fermions on complex scalar dark matter (DM) phenomenology within gauged two Higgs doublet model (G2HDM). We find that for DM mass above 1 TeV, heavy quarks coannihilations into the Standard Model (SM) quarks and gluons dominate the thermally-averaged cross section relevant for the relic abundance of complex scalar DM. We demonstrate that the effects of QCD Sommerfeld correction as well as QCD bound state formation in determining the DM relic are negligible. We show that the allowed parameter space is significantly constrained by the current PLANCK relic density data as well as XENON1T limit appropriate for DM direct search.
We study the theoretical and phenomenological constraints imposed on the scalar sector of the gauged two Higgs doublet model proposed recently as a variant of the popular inert Higgs doublet model of dark matter. The requirements of tree-level vacuum stability and perturbative unitarity in the scalar sector are analyzed in detail. Furthermore, taking into account the constraints from the 125 GeV Higgs boson measurements at the Large Hadron Collider, we map out the allowed ranges for the fundamental parameters of the scalar potential in the model.
In light of the recent 750 GeV diphoton anomaly observed at the LHC, we study the possibility of accommodating the deviation from the standard model prediction based on the recently proposed Gauged Two Higgs Doublet Model. The model embeds two Higgs doublets into a doublet of a non-abelian gauge group $SU(2)_H$, while the standard model $SU(2)_L$ right-handed fermion singlets are paired up with new heavy fermions to form $SU(2)_H$ doublets, and $SU(2)_L$ left-handed fermion doublets are singlets under $SU(2)_H$. An $SU(2)_H$ scalar doublet, which provides masses to the new heavy fermions as we…
In this talk, we report unitarity constraints and phenomenological studies at the Large Hadron Collider for the extra Higgs bosons of a Composite 2-Higgs Doublet Model.
We study the constraints on the new parameters in the gauge sector of gauged two Higgs doublet model using the electroweak precision test data collected from the Large Electron Positron Collider (LEP) at and off the Z-pole as well as the current Drell-Yan and high-mass dilepton resonance data from the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Impacts on the new parameters by the projected sensitivities of various electroweak observables at the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) proposed to be built in China are also discussed. We also clarify why the Stüeckelberg mass $M_Y$ for the hypercharge $U(1…
We consider the phenomenological consequences of a hidden Higgs sector extending the Standard Model (SM), in which the matter content are uncharged under the SM gauge groups. We consider a simple case where the hidden sector is gauged under a U(1) with one Higgs singlet. The only couplings between SM and the hidden sector are through mixings between the neutral gauge bosons of the two respective sectors, and between the Higgs bosons. We find signals testable at the LHC that can reveal the existence and shed light on the nature of such a hidden sector.
Gauged $U(1)_{L_μ- L_τ}$ model has been advocated for a long time in light of muon $g-2$ anomaly, which is a more than $3σ$ discrepancy between the experimental measurement and the standard model prediction. We augment this model with three right-handed neutrinos $(N_e, N_μ, N_τ)$ and a vector-like singlet fermion $(χ)$ to explain simultaneously the non-zero neutrino mass and dark matter content of the Universe, while satisfying anomalous muon $g-2$ constraints. It is shown that in a large parameter space of this model we can explain positron excess, observed at PAMELA, Fermi-LAT and AMS-02, t…
If a Z' gauge boson from a gauged L_mu - L_tau symmetry is very light, it is associated with a long-range leptonic force. In this case the particles in the Sun create via mixing of the Z' with the Standard Model Z a flavor-dependent potential for muon neutrinos in terrestrial long-baseline experiments. The potential changes sign for anti-neutrinos and hence can lead to apparent differences in neutrino and anti-neutrino oscillations without introducing CP or CPT violation. This could for instance explain the recently found discrepancy in the MINOS experiment. We obtain the associated parameters…
We study the Two Higgs Doublet Model of type II, set limits to the parameter $\tanβ$ as a function of the mass of the charged Higgs $m_{H}$, and find interesting discovery channels in hadron colliders or muon colliders. We also obtain the running coupling constants and discuss Grand Unification. A dissertation submitted to the University of San Francisco-Quito in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Phylosophy.
In the simplest examples of models with a discrete quark-lepton symmetry, an electroweak symmetry breaking sector with more than one Higgs doublet is necessary to obtain the correct mass relations between quarks and leptons. A two Higgs doublet model has flavour-nonconserving Yukawa couplings, which are proportional to the masses of the quark-lepton symmetric partners of the fermions. We describe how flavour changing leptonic decays can occur, with branching ratios not far beyond that currently measureable, enabling investigation of the phenomenology of such models.
Smallness of neutrino masses can be explained by introducing a tiny vacuum expectation value of an extra-Higgs doublet which couples to right-handed neutrinos ($N_R$). This situation is naturally realized in $ν$-Two Higgs Doublet Model ($ν$THDM), where a TeV-scale seesaw mechanism can work well. We investigate observable phenomenology of $ν$THDM at LHC and ILC experiments. Charged Higgs boson ($H^\pm$) in $ν$THDM is almost originated from the extra-Higgs doublet and its coupling strength to neutrinos are not small. Then this model induces rich phenomenology at the LHC, for example, when $m_{H^…
We discuss possible signatures of the $CP$-odd scalar of two-doublet models at the LHC. We find that the inclusive two-photon decay mode and the decay sequence $A^0 \rightarrow Zh, h \rightarrow γγ$, where $h$ is a $CP$-even neutral scalar, can give viable signals in fairly large and complementary regions of parameter space.
We study the most general Multi-Higgs-Doublet Model (MHDM) with Natural Flavor Conservation (NFC). The couplings of a charged scalar $H_i^{\pm}$ to up quarks, down quarks and charged leptons depend on three new complex parameters, $X_i$, $Y_i$ and $Z_i$, respectively. We prove relations among these parameters. We carry out a comprehensive analysis of phenomenological constraints on the couplings of the lightest charged scalar: $X$, $Y$ and $Z$. We find that the general MHDM may differ significantly from its minimal version, the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model (2HDM).
A novel model embedding the two Higgs doublets in the popular two Higgs doublet models into a doublet of a non-abelian gauge group $SU(2)_H$ is presented. The Standard Model $SU(2)_L$ right-handed fermion singlets are paired up with new heavy fermions to form $SU(2)_H$ doublets, while $SU(2)_L$ left-handed fermion doublets are singlets under $SU(2)_H$. Distinctive features of this anomaly-free model are: (1) Electroweak symmetry breaking is induced from spontaneous symmetry breaking of $SU(2)_H$ via its triplet vacuum expectation value; (2) One of the Higgs doublet can be inert, with its neutr…
We study the phenomenology of the charged Higgs boson in the "flipped" two Higgs doublet model, in which one doublet gives mass to up-type quarks and charged leptons and the other gives mass to down-type quarks. We present the charged Higgs branching ratios and summarize the indirect constraints. We extrapolate existing LEP searches for H+H- and Tevatron searches for t tbar with t --> H+ b into the flipped model and extract constraints on MH+ and the parameter tan(beta). We finish by reviewing existing LHC charged Higgs searches and suggest that the LHC reach in this model could be extended fo…
We examine the phenomenology of the $CP$-odd scalar $A^0$ of two-Higgs-doublet models. We explore the parameter space determined by triviality bounds and identify the regions where the $A^0$ can be detected at the LHC in each of the following modes: the inclusive two-photon decay mode, the $l^{\pm}γγX$ mode from $t\overline{t}A^0$ production and the $A^0\rightarrow Zh$ channel with the subsequent decay of the $CP$-even scalar $h$ to two photons. We find that, while the $l^{\pm}γγX$ mode is of limited usefulness, the other two modes can give viable signals in fairly large, and complementary, re…
Two-Higgs-doublet models (2HDM) are simple extensions of the Standard Model (SM) where the scalar sector is enlarged by adding a weak doublet. As a result, the Higgs potential depends in general on several free parameters which have to be carefully chosen to give predictions consistent with the current precision data. We consider a 2HDM invariant under a twisted custodial symmetry and depending only on three extra parameters beyond the SM ones. This model naturally features an inverted mass spectrum with a light pseudoscalar state and a heavy SM-like Higgs boson. We thoroughly analyze direct a…
The processes proton + antiproton -> gamma + heavy-flavour jet(s) + X and proton + proton -> gamma + heavy-flavour jet(s) + X are studied in the framework of a special two-Higgs-doublet model, the MCPM. As distinguishing feature of this model we find that radiative Higgs-boson production and decay lead to heavy flavour c jets but no b jets in the above processes. Thus, the prediction is that b jets should be given by the normal QCD processes whereas for c jets an excess over the QCD expectation should occur. We present results both for Tevatron and LHC energies.
The alignment in flavour space of the Yukawa matrices of a general two-Higgs-doublet model results in the absence of tree-level flavour-changing neutral currents. In addition to the usual fermion masses and mixings, the aligned Yukawa structure only contains three complex parameters, which are potential new sources of CP violation. For particular values of these three parameters all known specific implementations of the model based on discrete Z_2 symmetries are recovered. One of the most distinctive features of the two-Higgs-doublet model is the presence of a charged scalar. In this work, we …
The single Higgs doublet in the standard model (SM) may be the simplest way of introducing electroweak symmetry breaking, but SM extensions with more scalar doublets are not excluded. A special case of the two Higgs doublet models is the inert doublet model - a minimalistic version with interesting phenomenology. These proceedings reviews the inert doublet model's theoretical setup, constraints, collider prospects and its dark matter phenomenology.
We make a phenomenological study of a model with two inert doublets plus one Higgs doublet (I(2+1)HDM) which is symmetric under a Z$_2$ group, preserved after Electro-Weak Symmetry Breaking (EWSB) by the vacuum alignment $(0,0,v)$. This model may be regarded as an extension to the model with one inert doublet plus one Higgs doublet (I(1+1)HDM), by the addition of an extra inert scalar doublet. The neutral fields from the two inert doublets provide a viable Dark Matter (DM) candidate which is stabilised by the conserved $Z_2$ symmetry. We study the new Higgs decay channels offered by the scalar…
We propose a gauged two-Higgs-doublet model (2HDM) featuring an anomalous Peccei-Quinn symmetry, $U(1)_{PQ}$. Dangerous tree-level flavour-changing neutral currents, common in 2HDMs, are forbidden by the extra gauge symmetry, $U(1)_X$. In our construction, the solutions to the important issues of neutrino masses, dark matter and the strong CP problem are interrelated. Neutrino masses are generated via a Dirac seesaw mechanism and are suppressed by the ratio of the $U(1)_X$ and the $U(1)_{PQ}$ breaking scales. Naturally small neutrino masses suggest that the breaking of $U(1)_X$ occurs at a rel…
We study the dark matter phenomenology of scotogenic frameworks through a rather illustrative model extending the Standard Model by scalar and fermionic singlets and doublets. Such a setup is phenomenologically attractive since it provides the radiative generation of neutrino masses, while also including viable candidates for cold dark matter. We employ a Markov Chain Monte Carlo algorithm to explore the associated parameter space in view of numerous constraints stemming from the Higgs mass, the neutrino sector, dark matter, and lepton-flavour violating processes. After a general discussion of…
The most general two-Higgs doublet model (2HDM) includes potentially large sources of flavor changing neutral currents (FCNCs) that must be suppressed in order to achieve a phenomenologically viable model. The flavor alignment ansatz postulates that all Yukawa coupling matrices are diagonal when expressed in the basis of mass-eigenstate fermion fields, in which case tree-level Higgs mediated FCNCs are eliminated. In this work, we explore models with the flavor alignment condition imposed at a very high energy scale, which results in the generation of Higgs-mediated FCNCs via renormalization gr…
We determine the discovery potential of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at 13 TeV center-of-mass energy for a heavy scalar resonance in the dilepton channel. In particular, we consider the singlet-like heavy mass eigenstate of a mixed two Higgs doublet and scalar singlet model in the $U(1)_{B-L}$ extension of the Standard Model. We find that, despite the small coupling of the singlet scalar with the doublets, this heavy scalar can be discovered with 5$σ$ at the LHC with integrated luminosities of $\sim 300$ to $1400$ fb$^{-1}$ in the mass range between 500 GeV and 1 TeV.
We analyze a model with unbroken B-L gauge symmetry where neutrino masses are generated at one loop, after spontaneous breaking of a global U(1) symmetry. These symmetries ensure dark matter stability and the Diracness of neutrinos. Within this context, we examine fermionic dark matter. Consistency between the required neutrino mass and the observed relic abundance indicates dark matter masses and couplings within the reach of direct detection experiments.
The Atomki collaboration has reported that unexpected excesses have been observed in the rare decays of Beryllium nucleus. It is claimed that such excesses can suggest the existence of a new boson, called $X$, with the mass of about $17$ MeV. To solve the Atomki anomaly, we consider a model with gauged $U(1)_R$ symmetry and identify the new gauge boson with the $X$ boson. We also introduce two $SU(2)$ doublet Higgs bosons and one singlet Higgs boson, and discuss a very stringent constraint from neutrino-electron scattering. It is found that the $U(1)_R$ charges of the doublet scalars are deter…
A comprehensive phenomenological analysis of a two Higgs doublet model, with flavor changing scalar currents at the tree level, called model III, is presented. Constraints from existing experimental information especially on (Delta F)=2 processes are systematically incorporated. Constraints emerging from rare B-decays, Z-->b\bar b, and the ρparameter are also examined. Experimental implications for e^+e^- (μ^+μ^-)-->t\bar c+\bar t c, t-->cγ(Z,g), D^0-\bar D^0, and B^0_s-\bar B^0_s oscillations, and for e^+e^-(Z)-->b\bar s+s\bar b are investigated and experimental effort towards these is stress…
We investigate the phenomenology of Composite 2-Higgs Doublet Models (C2HDMs) of various Yukawa types based on the global symmetry breaking $SO(6)\to SO(4)\times SO(2)$. The kinetic term and the Yukawa Lagrangian are constructed in terms of the pseudo Nambu-Goldstone Boson (pNGB) matrix and a 6-plet of fermions under $SO(6)$. The scalar potential is assumed to be the same as that of the Elementary 2-Higgs Doublet Model (E2HDM) with a softly-broken discrete $Z_2$ symmetry. We then discuss the phenomenological differences between the E2HDM and C2HDM by focusing on the deviations from Standard Mo…
Type-X two Higgs doublet model is known to explain the muon $g-2$ anomaly with a relatively light charged Higgs boson at large $\tanβ$. The light charged Higgs boson has been searched in the main $τν$ mode at the colliders. Invoking a scenario of inverse seesaw as the origin of neutrino masses and mixing, the charged Higgs boson can decay additionally to right-handed neutrinos which leads to interesting phenomenology. Considering generic lepton flavour violating signatures at the final states, a $5σ$ discovery can be achieved with the early data of LHC, at 14 TeV, for relatively large inverse …
We study the production and decay of charged scalars, eta^\pm, in the context of a CP-Violating Inert-Doublet Model. The model is an extended version of the Inert Doublet Model with an extra Higgs doublet and provides new sources of CP violation and a dark matter candidate. As compared with the 2HDM, the particle spectrum contains two additional neutral scalars and a charged pair. These particles are subject to a Z_2 symmetry, but can be pair-produced in hadronic collisions. If a charged scalar is included in the pair, it decays to the stable dark-matter candidate (i.e., the lightest neutral i…
The LHC observed so far three deviations from the Standard Model (SM) predictions in flavour observables: LHCb reported anomalies in $B\to K^* μ^+μ^-$ and $R(K)=B\to K μ^+μ^-/B\to K e^+e^-$ while CMS found an excess in $h\toμτ$. We show, for the first time, how these deviations from the SM can be explained within a single well-motivated model: a two-Higgs-doublet model with gauged $L_μ-L_τ$ symmetry. We find that, despite the constraints from $τ\toμμμ$ and $B_s$--$\overline{B}_s$ mixing, one can explain $h \toμτ$, $B\to K^* μ^+μ^-$ and $R(K)$ simultaneously, obtaining interesting correlations …
Recently a gauged two Higgs doublet model, in which the two Higgs doublets are embedded into the fundamental representation of an extra local $SU(2)_H$ group, is constructed. Both the new gauge bosons $Z^\prime$ and $W^{\prime (p,m)}$ are electrically neutral. While $Z^\prime$ can be singly produced at colliders, $W^{\prime (p,m)}$, which is heavier, must be pair produced. We explore the constraints of $Z^\prime$ using the current Drell-Yan type data from the Large Hadron Collider. Anticipating optimistically that $Z^\prime$ can be discovered via the clean Drell-Yan type signals at high lumino…
We discuss the implications of assuming a four-zero Yukawa texture for the properties of the charged Higgs boson within the context of the general 2-Higgs Doublet Model of Type III. We begin by presenting a detailed analysis of the charged Higgs boson couplings with heavy quarks and the resulting pattern for its decays. The production of charged Higgs bosons is also sensitive to the modifications of its couplings, so that we also evaluate the resulting effects on the top decay $t \to b H^{+}$ as well as on `direct' $c\bar{b}\to H^++c. c.$ and `indirect' $q\bar q,gg\to \bar t b H^++c. c.$ produ…
The $3.1σ$ $R_K$ anomaly after Moriond 2021 and $3.3 σ$ $Δa_μ$ from Fermilab Muon g-2 experiment implicate that the lepton flavor universality violation (LFUV) may play a role in the exploration of new physics. A Flavor Gauged Two-Higgs Doublet Model (FG2HDM) is proposed and investigated in this work. To get rid of the the redundancy in Yukawa coupling of 2HDM-III, a specific U(1) flavor symmetry is introduced. The charge difference between two scalar doublet forbid the appearance of pseudoscalar and hence there are only three particles (a charged and neutral heavy scalar together with a neutr…
We consider a possibility that electroweak symmetry breaking (EWSB) is triggered by a fundamental Higgs and a composite Higgs arising in a dynamical symmetry breaking mechanism induced by a new strong dynamics. The resulting Higgs sector is a partially composite two-Higgs doublet model with specific boundary conditions on the coupling and mass parameters originating at a compositeness scale. The phenomenology of this model is discussed including the collider phenomenology at LHC and ILC.
We study the "lepton-specific" two Higgs doublet model, in which one doublet Phi_l gives mass to charged leptons and the other Phi_q gives mass to both up- and down-type quarks. We examine the existing experimental constraints on the charged Higgs boson mass and the parameter tan(beta) \equiv <Phi_q^0>/<Phi_l^0>. The most stringent constraints come from LEP-II direct searches and lepton flavour universality in tau decays. The former yields M_H+ \geq 92.0 GeV; the latter yields two allowed regions, 0.61 tan(beta) GeV \leq M_H+ \leq 0.73 tan(beta) GeV or M_H+ \geq 1.4 tan(beta) GeV, and excludes…
We propose a simple extension of the standard model where neutrinos get naturally small "scotogenic" Dirac masses from an unbroken gauged $B-L$ symmetry, ensuring dark matter stability. The associated gauge boson gets mass through the Stueckelberg mechanism. Two scenarios are identified, and the resulting phenomenology briefly sketched.
We consider the doublet-triplet fermionic model in the scheme of the custodial limit when the dark matter (DM) candidate is pure doublet and lies at the electroweak scale. This scheme, despite being an appealing and promising DM model, is severely constrained by the interplay between the DM relic density constraint and the LHC measurement of the Higgs diphoton decay rate. In this work, the DM relic density is considered to arise from either a nonstandard cosmology scenario or as a part of a larger sector encompassing other DM particles, this in order to saturate the observed relic abundance. F…
We propose a 2-Higgs doublet model where the symmetry is extended by $S_{3}\otimes Z_{3}\otimes Z_{3}^{\prime }\otimes Z_{14}$ and the field content is enlarged by extra $SU(2)_{L}$ singlet scalar fields. $S_3$ makes the model predictive and leads to viable fermion masses and mixing. The observed hierarchy of the quark masses arises from the $Z_{3}^{\prime }$ and $Z_{14}$ symmetries. The light neutrino masses are generated through a type I seesaw mechanism with two heavy Majorana neutrinos. In the lepton sector we obtain mixing angles that are nearly tri-bi-maximal, in an excellent agreement w…
We study the LHC search prospects for a model in which the neutrinos obtain Dirac masses from couplings to a second Higgs doublet with tiny vacuum expectation value. The model contains a charged Higgs boson that decays to l nu with branching fractions controlled by the neutrino masses and mixing angles as measured in neutrino oscillation experiments. The most promising signal is electroweak production of H+ H- pairs with decays to l l' pTmiss, where l l' = e+ e-, mu+ mu-, and e+- mu-+. We find that a cut on the kinematic variable M_{T2} eliminates most of the t t and W-pair background. Dependi…
If the Standard Model of particle interactions is extended to include a second scalar doublet $[H^{+},(H^{0}+iA^{0})/\sqrt{2}]$, which is odd under an unbroken Z_{2} discrete symmetry, it may be called the $dark$ scalar doublet, because its lightest neutral member, say H^{0}, is one posssible component for the dark matter of the Universe. We discuss the general phenomenology of the four particles of this doublet, without assuming that H^{0} is the dominant source of dark matter. We also consider the impact of this $dark$ scalar doublet on the phenomenology of the SM Higgs boson h.
Predictions for LHC physics are worked out for a two-Higgs-doublet model having four generalized CP symmetries. In this maximally-CP-symmetric model (MCPM) the first fermion family is, at tree level, uncoupled to the Higgs fields and thus massless. The second and third fermion families have a very symmetric coupling to the Higgs fields. But through the electroweak symmetry breaking a large mass hierarchy is generated between these fermion families. Thus, the fermion mass spectrum of the model presents a rough approximation to what is observed in Nature. In the MCPM there are, as in every two-H…
New gauge symmetries often appear in theories beyond the Standard Model. Here we study a model where lepton number is promoted to a gauge symmetry. Anomaly cancellation requires the introduction of additional leptons, the lightest of which is a natural leptophilic dark matter candidate. We perform a comprehensive study of both collider and dark matter phenomenology. Furthermore we find that the model exhibits a first order lepton number breaking phase transition in large regions of parameter space. The corresponding gravitational wave signal is computed, and its detectability at LISA and other…
We study the most popular scalar extension of the Standard Model, namely the Two Higgs doublet model, extended by a complex triplet scalar (2HDMcT). Such considering model with a very small vacuum expectation value, provides a solution to the massive neutrinos through the so-called type II seesaw mechanism. We show that the 2HDMcT enlarged parameter space allow for a rich and interesting phenomenology compatible with current experimental constraints. In this paper the 2HDMcT is subject to a detailed scrutiny. Indeed, a complete set of tree level unitarity constraints on the coupling parameters…
We examine various direct and indirect constraints on the lepton-specific two-Higgs doublet model and scrutinize the property of the Higgs bosons in the allowed parameter space. These constraints come from the precision electroweak data, the direct search for Higgs boson, the muon anomalous magnetic moment, as well as some theoretical consistency requirements. We find that in the allowed parameter space the CP-odd Higgs boson A is rather light (m_A < 30 GeV with 95% possibility), which is composed dominantly by the leptonic Higgs and decays dominantly into τ^+ τ^-; while the SM-like Higgs boso…
We work out the phenomenology of a model of supersymmetry breaking in the presence of a tiny (tunable) positive cosmological constant, proposed by the authors in arXiv:1403.1534. It utilises a single chiral multiplet with a gauged shift symmetry, that can be identified with the string dilaton (or an appropriate compactification modulus). The model is coupled to the MSSM, leading to calculable soft supersymmetry breaking masses and a distinct low energy phenomenology that allows to differentiate it from other models of supersymmetry breaking and mediation mechanisms.
We analyze a model for the Higgs sector with two scalar doublets and a $Z_2$ symmetry that is manifest in the Yukawa sector but broken in the potential. Thus, one of the doublets breaks the electroweak symmetry and has tree-level Yukawa couplings to fermions, whereas the other doublet has no vacuum expectation value and no tree-level couplings to fermions. Since the $Z_2$ parity is broken the two doublets can mix, which leads to a distinct and novel phenomenology. This Stealth Doublet Model can be seen as a generalization of the Inert Doublet Model with a broken $Z_2$ symmetry. We outline the …
Predictions for LHC physics are given for a two-Higgs-doublet model having four generalized CP symmetries. In the MCPM the couplings of the Higgs bosons…
Possible models of Yukawa interaction are discussed in the two Higgs doublet model (THDM) under the discrete symmetry imposed to avoid the flavor changing neutral current at the leading order. It is known that there are four types of such models corresponding to the possible different assignment of charges for the discrete symmetry on quarks and leptons. We first examine decay properties of Higgs bosons in each type of the models, and summarize constraints on the models from current experimental data. We then shed light on the differences among these models in collider phenomenology. In partic…
The extension of the standard model's minimal Higgs sector with an inert $SU(2)_L$ scalar doublet can provide light dark matter candidate and simultaneously induce a strong phase transition for explaining Baryogenesis. There is however no symmetry reasons to prevent the extension using scalars with higher $SU(2)_L$ representations. By making random scans over the models' parameters, we show that in the light of electroweak physics constraints, strong first order electroweak phase transition and the possibility of having sub-TeV cold dark matter candidate the higher representations are rather d…
We propose a hidden gauged $U(1)_H$ $Z'$ model to explain deviations from the Standard Model (SM) values in lepton flavor universality known as $R_K$ and $R_D$ anomalies. The $Z'$ only interacts with the SM fermions via their mixing with vector-like doublet fermions after the $U(1)_H$ symmetry breaking, which leads to $b \to s μμ$ transition through the $Z^{\prime}$ at tree level. Moreover, introducing an additional mediator, inert-Higgs doublet, yields $b\to c τν$ process via charged scalar contribution at tree level. Using flavio package, we scrutinize adequate sizes of the relevant Wilson c…
We consider a minimal extension of the standard model where a real, gauge singlet scalar field is added to the standard spectrum. Introducing the Ansatz of universality of scalar couplings, we are led to a scenario which has a set of very distinctive and testable predictions: (i) the mixing between the standard model Higgs and the new state is near maximal, (ii) the ratio of the two Higgs mass eigenstates is fixed ($\sim \sqrt{3}$), (iii) the decay modes of each of the two eigenstates are standard model like. We also study how electroweak precision tests constrain this scenario. We predict the…
We proposed a model which can explain the neutrino phenomenology, dark matter and anomalous magnetic moment$(g-2)$ in a common framework. The inverted sea saw (ISS)(2,3) mechanism has been incorporated, in which we get an extra sterile state and this state act as a viable dark matter candidate. The right handed neutrino mass is obtained in TeV scale, which is accessible at LHC. The anomaly free $U(1)_{L_{e}-Lμ}$ gauge symmetry is introduced to explain the anomalous magnetic moment of electron and muon because it provides a natural origin of $(g-2)$ in a very minimal setup. The corresponding Me…
We study the phenomenology of a model where an SU(2)^3 flavour symmetry acting on the first two generation quarks is gauged and Yukawa couplings for the light generations are generated by a see-saw mechanism involving heavy fermions needed to cancel flavour-gauge anomalies. We find that, in constrast to the SU(3)^3 case studied in the literature, most of the constraints related to the third generation, like electroweak precision bounds or B physics observables, can be evaded, while characteristic collider signatures are predicted.
