We proposed a model which can explain the neutrino phenomenology, dark matter and anomalous magnetic moment$(g-2)$ in a common framework. The inverted sea saw (ISS)(2,3) mechanism has been incorporated, in which we get an extra sterile state and this state act as a viable dark matter candidate. The right handed neutrino mass is obtained in TeV scale, which is accessible at LHC. The anomaly free $U(1)_{L_{e}-Lμ}$ gauge symmetry is introduced to explain the anomalous magnetic moment of electron and muon because it provides a natural origin of $(g-2)$ in a very minimal setup. The corresponding MeV scale gauge boson successfully explain the anomalous magnetic moment of electron and muon$(g-2)_{e,μ}$, simultaneously. Thus obtained neutrino phenomenology and relic abundance of dark matter are compatible with experimental results.
We explore muon anomalous magnetic moment (muon $g-2$) in a scotogenic neutrino model with a gauged lepton number symmetry $U(1)_{μ-τ}$. In this model, a dominant muon $g-2$ contribution comes not from an additional gauge sector but from a Yukawa sector. In our numerical $Δχ^2$ analysis, we show that our model is in favor of normal hierarchy with some features. We demonstrate one benchmark point, satisfying muon $g-2$ at the best fit value $25.1\times10^{-10}$.
The Atomki collaboration has reported that unexpected excesses have been observed in the rare decays of Beryllium nucleus. It is claimed that such excesses can suggest the existence of a new boson, called $X$, with the mass of about $17$ MeV. To solve the Atomki anomaly, we consider a model with gauged $U(1)_R$ symmetry and identify the new gauge boson with the $X$ boson. We also introduce two $SU(2)$ doublet Higgs bosons and one singlet Higgs boson, and discuss a very stringent constraint from neutrino-electron scattering. It is found that the $U(1)_R$ charges of the doublet scalars are deter…
We extended the standard model with a fourth generation of fermions to explain the discrepancy in the muon magnetic moment and to describe the positron excess observed by AMS-02 experiment. We introduce a gauged $SU(2)_{HV}$ horizontal symmetry between the muon and the 4th generation lepton families and identified the 4th generation right-handed neutrino as the dark matter with mass $\sim 700$ GeV. The dark matter annihilates through $SU(2)_{HV}$ gauge boson into final states $(μ^+ μ^-)$ and $(ν^c_μ~ν_μ)$. The $SU(2)_{HV}$ gauge boson with mass $\sim 1.4$ TeV gives the required contribution to…
We studied an extension of the standard model with a fourth generation of fermions to explain the discrepancy in the muon $(g-2)$ and explain the positron excess seen in the AMS-02 experiment. We introduce a gauged $SU(2)_{HV}$ horizontal symmetry between the muon and the 4th generation lepton families. The 4th generation right-handed neutrino is identified as the dark matter with mass $\sim 700$ GeV. The dark matter annihilates only to $(μ^+ μ^-)$ and $(ν^c_μ~ν_μ)$ states via $SU(2)_{HV}$ gauge boson. The $SU(2)_{HV}$ gauge boson with mass $\sim 1.4$ TeV gives an adequate contribution to the …
We study the phenomenon of baryogenesis via leptogenesis in the gauged $B-L$ symmetric models by embedding the currently proposed model $νMSM$. It is shown that the lightest right handed neutrino of mass $100 GeV$ satisfy the leptogenesis constraint and at the same time representing a candidate for the cold dark matter. We discuss our results in parallel to the predictions of $νMSM$.
We consider an explanation of CDF II W bosom mass anomaly by $Z-Z'$ mixing with $U(1)_R$ gauge symmetry under which right-handed fermions are charged. It is found that $U(1)_R$ is preferred to be leptophobic to accommodate the anomaly while avoiding other experimental constraints. In such a case we require extra charged leptons to cancel quantum anomalies and the SM charged leptons get masses via interactions with the extra ones. These interactions also induce muon $g-2$ and lepton flavor violations. We discuss muon $g-2$, possible flavor constraints, neutrino mass generation via inverse seesa…
I investigate the effects of the Chern-Simons coupling on high-energy behavior in $2+1$ dimensional U(1) gauged $η(ϕ^\daggerϕ)^3$ theory with a Chern-Simons term. The effective potential and the $β$ function for $η$ are calculated to the next-to-leading order of the $1/N$ expansion as functions of $θ$ (the Chern-Simons coupling). For all $θ$, the theory is found to be driven to instability region at high momenta. It is briefly discussed on radiative corrections to $θ$.
The gauged Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model in the quenched-ladder approximation has non-trivial dynamics near a critical scaling region (critical curve) separating a chiral symmetric and a dynamically chiral symmetry broken phase. Scalar and pseudoscalar composites corresponding to the four-fermion interaction become relevant degrees of freedom at short distances, which is reflected in the appearance of a large anomalous dimension of the four-fermion operators. A method is introduced for solving the Schwinger-Dyson equation for the Yukawa vertex in specific kinematic regimes. This allows one to deriv…
We construct axially symmetric solutions of U(1) gauged Skyrme model. Possessing a nonvanishing magnetic moment, these solitons have also a nonzero angular momentum proportional to the electric charge.
In this paper we present a novel formulation of chaotic hybrid inflation in supergravity. The model includes a waterfall field which spontaneously breaks a gauged $U_1(B-L)$ at a GUT scale. This allows for the possibility of future model building which includes the standard formulation of baryogenesis via leptogenesis with the waterfall field decaying into right-handed neutrinos. We have not considered the following issues in this short paper, i.e. supersymmetry breaking, dark matter or the gravitino or moduli problems. Our focus is on showing the compatibility of the present model with Planck…
Based on the Cornwall-Jackiw-Tomboulis effective potential, we extensively study nonperturbative renormalization of the gauged Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model in the ladder approximation with standing gauge coupling. Although the pure Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model is not renormalizable, presence of the gauge interaction makes it possible that the theory is renormalized as an interacting continuum theory at the critical line in the ladder approximation. Extra higher dimensional operators (``counter terms'') are not needed for the theory to be renormalized. By virtue of the effective potential approach, the…
We consider salient cosmological features of a supersymmetric model which is Left-Right symmetric and therefore possessing gauged $B-L$ symmetry. The requirement of breaking parity and also obtaining charge preserving vacua introduces some unique features to this model (MSLRM), resulting in a preference for non-thermal Leptogenesis. Assuming that the model preserves TeV scale supersymmetry, we show that the vacuum structure generically possesses domain walls, which can serve two important purposes. They can signal a secondary inflation required to remove unwanted relics such as gravitino and m…
The extension of the Standard Model by a spontaneously broken abelian gauge group based on the L(mu)-L(tau) lepton number can resolve the longstanding discrepancy between experimental and theoretical values for the magnetic moment of the muon. It furthermore naturally generates mu-tau symmetric lepton mixing, introduces neutrino non-standard interactions, and the associated gauge boson Z' serves as a mediator to the right-handed neutrino sector. A detailed fit to electroweak data is performed to identify the allowed values for the mass of Z' and its mixing with the Standard Model Z. An economi…
In an endeavor to explain the light neutrino masses and dark matter (DM) simultaneously, we study a gauged $U(1)_{\rm B-L}$ extension of the standard model (SM). The neutrino masses are generated through a variant of type-II seesaw mechanism in which one of the scalar triplets has a mass in a scale that is accessible at the present generation colliders. Three SM singlet right chiral fermions $χ_{iR}$($i=e,μ,τ$) with $\rm B-L$ charges -4, -4, +5 are invoked to cancel the $\rm B-L$ gauge anomalies and the lightest one among these three fermions becomes a viable DM candidate as their stability is…

We demonstrate that the three-dimensional Skyrmion, which has remained elusive so far, spontaneously appears as the ground state of $SU$(2) symmetric Bose-Einstein condensates coupled with a non-Abelian gauge field. The gauge field is a three-dimensional analogue of the Rashba spin-orbit coupling. Upon squashing the SO(3) symmetric gauge field to one- or two-dimensional shapes, we find that the ground state continuously undergoes a change from a three-dimensional to a one- or two-dimensional Skyrmion, which is identified by estimating winding numbers and helicity. All of the emerged Skyrmions …
We study static, spherically symmetric, and purely magnetic solutions of SU(2) $\times$ SU(2) gauge supergravity in four dimensions. A systematic analysis of the supersymmetry conditions reveals solutions which preserve 1/8 of the supersymmetries and are characterized by a BPS-monopole-type gauge field and a globally hyperbolic, everywhere regular geometry. These present the first known example of non-Abelian backgrounds in gauge supergravity and in leading order effective string theory.
We analyze the effective actions of anomalous models in which a four-dimensional version of the Green-Schwarz mechanism is invoked for the cancellation of the anomalies, and we compare it with those models in which gauge invariance is restored by the presence of a Wess-Zumino term. Some issues concerning an apparent violation of unitarity of the mechanism, which requires Dolgov-Zakharov poles, are carefully examined, using a class of amplitudes studied in the past by Bouchiat-Iliopoulos-Meyer (BIM), and elaborating on previous studies. In the Wess-Zumino case we determine explicitly the unitar…
We propose a gauged two-Higgs-doublet model (2HDM) featuring an anomalous Peccei-Quinn symmetry, $U(1)_{PQ}$. Dangerous tree-level flavour-changing neutral currents, common in 2HDMs, are forbidden by the extra gauge symmetry, $U(1)_X$. In our construction, the solutions to the important issues of neutrino masses, dark matter and the strong CP problem are interrelated. Neutrino masses are generated via a Dirac seesaw mechanism and are suppressed by the ratio of the $U(1)_X$ and the $U(1)_{PQ}$ breaking scales. Naturally small neutrino masses suggest that the breaking of $U(1)_X$ occurs at a rel…
We propose a model for cosmic inflation which is based on an effective description of strongly interacting, nonsupersymmetric matter within the framework of dynamical abelian projection and centerization. The underlying gauge symmetry is assumed to be SU(N) with N$\gg$1. Appealing to a thermodynamical treatment, the ground-state structure of the model is determined by a potential for the inflaton field (monopole condensate) which allows for nontrivially BPS saturated and thereby stable solutions. For $T<M_P$ this leads to an apparent decoupling of gravity from the inflaton dynamics. The ground…
A minimal extension of the left-right symmetric model for neutrino masses that includes a vector-like singlet fermion dark matter (DM) is presented with the DM connected to the visible sector via a gauged U(1) portal. We discuss the symmetry breaking in this model and calculate the mass and mixings of the extra heavy neutral gauge boson at the TeV scale. The extra gauge boson can decay to both standard model particles as well to dark matter. We calculate the relic density of the singlet fermion dark matter and its direct detection cross section and use these constraints to obtain the allowed p…
In this note we demonstrate that chaotic inflation can naturally be realized in the context of an anomaly free minimal gauged supergravity in D=6 which has recently been the focus of some attention. This particular model has a unique maximally symmetric ground state solution, $R^{3,1} \times S^2$ which leaves half of the six-dimensional supersymmetries unbroken. In this model, the inflaton field $ϕ$ originates from the complex scalar fields in the D=6 scalar hypermultiplet. The mass and the self couplings of the scalar field are dictated by the D=6 Lagrangian. The scalar potential has an absol…
We consider baryon-number-violating nucleon and dinucleon decays to leptonic final states in the context of a left-right symmetric (LRS) model with large extra dimensions. Specifically, we study (a) nucleon to trilepton decays with $ΔB=-1$ and $ΔL=-3$, and (b) dinucleon to dilepton decays with $ΔB=-2$ and $ΔL=-2$. In the LRS model, $B-L$ is gauged and is spontaneously broken by a Higgs vacuum expectation value $v_R$, which characterizes the scale at which processes violating $B-L$ occur. We show that together with the lower bound on $v_R$ from experimental limits on $n$-$\bar n$ oscillations, …
In this paper, we propose a $G_{L-R}\times U(1)_{L_μ-L_τ}$ gauge-symmetric model where $G_{L-R}$ is the left-right gauge symmetry and $L_i$ is the $i-$flavor lepton number. We use the spontaneous breaking (SSB) of $U(1)_{L_μ-L_τ}$ to explain two discrepancies in the standard model: muon anomalous magnetic moment and light neutrinos and its oscillations. The massive neutral gauge boson, $Z_{μτ}$, arising from the SSB can provide additional contributions to the muon anomalous magnetic moment. In order to explain neutrino masses, we employ the low-energy inverse seesaw mechanism by adding three $…

We consider a gauged $U(1)_x$ extension of the standard model and of the minimal supersymmetric standard model where the dark matter fields are charged under $U(1)_x$ and carry lepton number while the standard model fields and fields of the minimal supersymmetric standard model are neutral under $U(1)_x$. We consider leptogenesis in this class of models with all fundamental interactions having no violation of lepton number, and the total $B-L$ in the universe vanishes. Such leptogenesis leads to equal and opposite lepton numbers in the visible sector and in the dark sector, and thus also produ…
The nonassociativity of the octonion algebra necessitates a bimodule representation, in which each element is represented by a left and a right multiplier. This representation can then be used to generate gauge transformations for the purpose of constructing a field theory symmetric under a gauged octonion algebra, the nonassociativity of which appears as a failure of the representation to close, and hence produces new interactions in the gauge field kinetic term of the symmetric Lagrangian.
We propose a model for cosmic inflation which is based on an effective description of strongly interacting, nonsupersymmetric matter within the framework of dynamical Abelian projection and centerization. The underlying gauge symmetry is assumed to be $SU(N+1)$ with $N \gg 1$. Appealing to a thermodynamical treatment, the ground-state structure of the model is classically determined by a potential for the inflaton field (dynamical monopole condensate) which allows for nontrivially BPS saturated and thereby stable solutions. For $T<M_P$ this leads to decoupling of gravity from the inflaton dyna…
We study the structure of the neutrino mass matrix in the minimal gauged U(1)$_{L_μ-L_τ}$ model, where three right-handed neutrinos are added to the Standard Model in order to obtain non-zero masses for active neutrinos. Because of the U(1)$_{L_μ-L_τ}$ gauge symmetry, the structure of both Dirac and Majorana mass terms of neutrinos is tightly restricted. In particular, the inverse of the neutrino mass matrix has zeros in the $(μ,μ)$ and $(τ,τ)$ components, namely, this model offers a symmetric realization of the so-called two-zero-minor structure in the neutrino mass matrix. Due to these const…
The fate of R-parity is one of the central issues in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). Gauged $B-L$ symmetry provides a natural framework for addressing this question. Recently, it was pointed out that the minimal such theory does not need any additional Higgs if the $B-L$ breaking is achieved through the VEVs of right-handed sneutrinos, which ties the new physics scale to the scale of the MSSM. We show here that this immediately leads to an important prediction of two light sterile neutrinos, which can play a significant role in the BBN and neutrino oscillations. We also discu…
The Standard Models contain chiral fermions coupled to gauge theories. It has been a long-standing problem to give such gauged chiral fermion theories a quantum non-perturbative definition. By classification of quantum anomalies and symmetric invertible topological orders via a mathematical cobordism theorem for differentiable and triangulable manifolds, and the existence of symmetric gapped boundary for the trivial symmetric invertible topological orders, we propose that Spin(10) chiral fermion theories with Weyl fermions in 16-dimensional spinor representations can be defined on a 3+1D latti…
The Lee-Weinberg $U(1)$ magnetic monopoles, which have been reinterpreted as topological solitons of a certain non-Abelian gauged Higgs model recently, are considered for some specific choice of Higgs couplings. The model under consideration is shown to admit a Bogomol'nyi-type bound which is saturated by the configurations satisfying the generalized BPS equations. We consider the spherically symmetric monopole solutions in some detail.
We define a perturbatively calculable quantity--the on-shell correlator--which furnishes a unified description of particle dynamics in curved spacetime. Specializing to the case of flat and anti-de Sitter space, on-shell correlators coincide precisely with on-shell scattering amplitudes and boundary correlators, respectively. Remarkably, we find that symmetric manifolds admit a generalization of on-shell kinematics in which the corresponding momenta are literally the isometry generators of the spacetime acting on the external kinematic data. These isometric momenta are intrinsically non-commut…
