We propose a gauged $U(1)_{B-L}$ extension of the standard model (SM) to explain simultaneously the light neutrino masses and dark matter (DM). The generation of neutrino masses occurs through a variant of type-II seesaw mechanism in which one of the scalar triplets lies at the TeV scale yet have a large dilepton coupling, which paves a path for probing this model at colliders. The gauging of $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetry in a type-II seesaw framework introduces $B-L$ anomalies. Therefore we invoke three right handed neutrinos $ν_{R_{i}}$(i=1,2,3) with $B-L$ charges -4,-4,+5 to cancel the anomalies. We further show that the lightest one among the three right handed neutrinos can be a viable DM candidate. The stability of DM can be owed to a remnant $Z_2$ symmetry under which the right handed neutrinos are odd while all other particles are even. We then discuss the constraints on the model parameters from observed DM abundance and the search at direct detection experiments.
We study a radiative inverse seesaw model with local B-L symmetry, in which we extend the neutrino mass structure that is generated through a kind of inverse seesaw framework to the more generic one than our previous work. We focus on a real part of bosonic particle as a dark matter and investigate the features in O(1-80) GeV mass range, reported by the experiments such as CoGeNT and XENON (2012).
A minimal extension of the Standard Model is proposed, where the observed left-handed neutrinos obtain naturally small Majorana masses from a one-loop radiative seesaw mechanism. This model has two candidates (one bosonic and one fermionic) for the dark matter of the Universe. It has a very simple structure and should be verifiable in forthcoming experiments at the Large Hadron Collider.
If the canonical seesaw mechanism alone is responsible for neutrino mass, i.e. m_nu = -m_D^2/m_N, it can neither be proved nor disproved at the TeV energy scale. A new verifiable mechanism of neutrino mass is proposed, using the "inverse" seesaw, with new physics at the TeV scale, such that m_nu = m_D^2 epsilon_L/m_N^2, where epsilon_L is a two-loop effect. Dark-matter candidates also appear naturally.
We propose a modified version of the TeV scale B-L extension of the standard model, where neutrino masses are generated through the inverse seesaw mechanism. We show that heavy neutrinos associated with this model can be accessible via clean signals at the LHC. The search for the extra gauge boson Z'_{B-L} through the decay into dileptons or two dileptons plus missing energy is studied. We also show that the B-L extra Higgs can be directly probed at the LHC via a clean dilepton and missing energy signal.
In the presence of large extra dimensions, the fundamental scale could be as low as a few TeV. This yields leptogenesis and seesaw at a TeV scale. Phenomenologically two TeV-scale Majorana fermions with a small mass split can realize a resonant leptogenesis whereas a TeV-scale Higgs triplet with a small trilinear coupling to the standard model Higgs doublet can give a verifiable seesaw. We propose an interesting scenario where the small parameters for the resonant leptogenesis and the type-II seesaw can be simultaneously generated by the propagation of lepton number violation from distant bran…
We propose an economical model addressing the generation of the Inverse Seesaw mechanism from the spontaneous breaking of a local $U(1)_{B-L}$, with the Majorana masses of the sterile neutrinos radiatively generated from the dark sector. The field content of the Standard Model is extended by neutral scalars and fermionic singlets, and the gauge group is extended with a $U(1)_{B-L}$ and a discrete $\mathbb{Z}_4$ symmetries. Besides dynamically generating the Inverse Seesaw and thus small masses to the active neutrinos, our model offers two possible dark matter candidates, one scalar and one fer…
Very recently a novel implementation of type-II seesaw mechanism for neutrino mass has been proposed in SU(5) grand unified theory with a number of desirable new physical phenomena beyond the standard model.Introducing heavy right-haded neutrinos and extra fermion singlets, in this work we show how the type-I seeaw cancellation mechanism works in this SU(5) framework. Besides predicting verifiable LFV decays, we further show that the model predicts dominant double beta decay with normal hierarchy or inverted hierarchy of active light neutrino masses in concordance with cosmological bound. In a…
We consider a mechanism for neutrino mass generation, based on a local B-L extension of the standard model, which becomes a linear seesaw regime for light neutrinos after spontaneous symmetry breaking. The spectrum of extra particles includes heavy neutrinos with masses near the TeV scale and a heavy Z' boson, as well as three extra neutral scalars and a charged scalar pair. We study the production and decays of these heavy particles at the LHC. Z' will decay mainly into heavy neutrino pairs or charged lepton pairs, similar to other low scale seesaw scenarios with local B-L, while the phenomen…
We propose a model which generates neutrino masses by the inverse seesaw mechanism, provides a viable dark matter candidate and explains the muon ($g-2$) anomaly. The Standard Model (SM) gauge group is extended with a gauged U(1)$_{\rm B-L}$ as well as a gauged U(1)$_{\rm L_μ - L_τ}$. While U(1)$_{\rm L_μ - L_τ}$ is anomaly free, the anomaly introduced by U(1)$_{\rm B-L}$ is cancelled between the six SM singlet fermions introduced for the inverse seesaw mechanism and four additional chiral fermions introduced in this model. After spontaneous symmetry breaking the four chiral fermionic degrees …
A new heavy $Z'$ vector boson provides a possible explanation for the neutral current B anomalies and points to the scale where we expect the solution to the hierarchy problem to appear. In this paper, we explore a modified Top Seesaw model based on the global symmetry breaking of $U(3)_L$ to $U(2)_L$. The symmetry is partially gauged such that the breaking introduces not only a composite Higgs doublet but also a TeV-scale $Z'$ boson. The $U(3)_L/U(2)_L$ Top Seesaw model predicts a light Higgs boson as well as a large top Yukawa coupling. Additional $U(1)'$ symmetry is gauged such that a flavo…
We study the seesaw mechanism in the supersymmetric standard model (SSM) with ${\mathbb Z}_3$ symmetry instead of the R-parity, so-called {\it Matter triality} ($M_3$). This Abelian discrete symmetry prohibits the baryon/lepton number violation operators at the non-renormalizable level, and the proton longevity is ensured. The lepton number violation term by the right-handed neutrino is only allowed under the symmetry, it plays a role of the Majorana mass after the right-handed sneutrino develops into the vacuum expectation value. The mass of the active neutrino is generated from the two contr…
The gauged $B - L$ symmetry is one of the simplest and well studied extension of standard model. In the conventional case, addition of three singlet right handed neutrinos each transforming as $-1$ under the $B - L$ symmetry renders it anomaly free. It is usually assumed that the $B - L$ symmetry is spontaneously broken by a singlet scalar having two units of $B - L$ charge, resulting in a natural implementation of Majorana seesaw mechanism for neutrinos. However, as we discuss in this proceeding, there is another simple anomaly free solution which leads to Dirac or inverse seesaw masses for n…

The gauging of the lepton flavour group is considered in the Standard Model context and in its extension with three right-handed neutrinos. The anomaly cancellation conditions lead to a Seesaw mechanism as underlying dynamics for all leptons; requiring in addition a phenomenologically viable setup leads to Majorana masses for the neutral sector: the type I Seesaw Lagrangian in the Standard Model case and the inverse Seesaw in the extended model. Within the minimal extension of the scalar sector, the Yukawa couplings are promoted to scalar fields in the bifundamental of the flavour group. The r…
In this paper, we propose a $G_{L-R}\times U(1)_{L_μ-L_τ}$ gauge-symmetric model where $G_{L-R}$ is the left-right gauge symmetry and $L_i$ is the $i-$flavor lepton number. We use the spontaneous breaking (SSB) of $U(1)_{L_μ-L_τ}$ to explain two discrepancies in the standard model: muon anomalous magnetic moment and light neutrinos and its oscillations. The massive neutral gauge boson, $Z_{μτ}$, arising from the SSB can provide additional contributions to the muon anomalous magnetic moment. In order to explain neutrino masses, we employ the low-energy inverse seesaw mechanism by adding three $…
Dominance of type-II seesaw mechanism for neutrino masses has attracted considerable attention because of a number of advantages. We show a novel approach to achieve Type-II seesaw dominance in non-supersymmetric $SO(10)$ grand unification where a low mass $Z^{\prime}$ boson and specific patterns of right-handed neutrino masses are predicted within the accessible energy range of the Large Hadron Collider. In spite of the high value of the seesaw scale, $M_{Δ_L} \simeq 10^8-10^9$ GeV, the model predicts new dominant contributions to neutrino-less double beta decay in the $W_L-W_L$ channel close…
Motivated by recently reported anomalies in a decay of an excited state of beryllium by the Atomki collaboration, we study a radiative seesaw model with gauged $B-L$ symmetry and a $Z_2$ parity. Assuming that the anomalies originate from the decay of the $B-L$ gauge boson followed by the nuclear decay, the mass of the lightest right-handed neutrino or the dark matter candidate can be determined below $10$ GeV. We show that for this mass range, the model can explain the anomalies in the beryllium decay and the relic dark matter abundance consistent with neutrino masses. We also predict its spin…
The Inverse Seesaw scenario relates the smallness of the neutrino masses to a small $B-L$ breaking parameter. We investigate a possible dynamical generation of the Inverse Seesaw neutrino mass mechanism from the spontaneous breaking of a gauged $U(1)_{B-L}$. To obtain an anomaly free theory we need to introduce additional fermions which exhibit an interesting phenomenology. Additionally, we predict a $Z'$ boson associated to the broken $B-L$ which preferentially interacts with the dark sector formed by the extra fermions making it particularly elusive.
Extending the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) to explain small neutrino masses via the inverse seesaw mechanism can lead to a new light supersymmetric scalar partner which can play the role of inelastic dark matter (iDM). It is a linear combination of the superpartners of the neutral fermions in the theory (the light left-handed neutrino and two heavy Standard Model singlet neutrinos) which can be very light with mass in $\sim 5-20$ GeV range, as suggested by some current direct detection experiments. The iDM in this class of models has keV-scale mass splitting, which is intimatel…
The Inverse Seesaw naturally explains the smallness of neutrino masses via an approximate $B-L$ symmetry broken only by a correspondingly small parameter. In this work the possible dynamical generation of the Inverse Seesaw neutrino mass mechanism from the spontaneous breaking of a gauged $U(1)$ $B-L$ symmetry is investigated. Interestingly, the Inverse Seesaw pattern requires a chiral content such that anomaly cancellation predicts the existence of extra fermions belonging to a dark sector with large, non-trivial, charges under the $U(1)$ $B-L$. We investigate the phenomenology associated to …
In anomaly free gauged three-flavor SU(3)_f x SU(2)_L x U(1)_Y model of Yanagida with fermion and gauge boson masses described by conveniently chosen elementary scalar Higgs fields the neutrino mass matrix comes out in the seesaw form. Following Yanagida's suggestion we demonstrate that no Higgs fields are needed. Strong flavor gluon interactions themselves, treated in a separable approximation, result in universally split lepton and quark masses calculated in terms of a few parameters. While the realistic splitting of charged lepton and quark masses requires the electroweak and QCD radiative …
We discuss a new radiative seesaw model with the gauged B$-$L symmetry which is spontaneously broken. We improve the previous model by using the anomaly-free condition without introducing too many fermions. In our model, dark matter, tiny neutrino masses and neutrino oscillation data can be explained simultaneously, assuming the B$-$L symmetry breaking at the TeV scale.
The seesaw mechanism for three neutrinos is discussed, clarifying the situation where the seesaw texture results in three approximately zero mass eigenvalues. The true underlying mechanism is shown to be just the $inverse$ (or $linear$) seesaw, which explains why there could be large mixing. However, these zeroes cannot occur naturally, unless there is a conserved symmetry, i.e. lepton number $L$, either global or gauged, which is softly or spontaneously broken at the TeV scale. We discuss in particular the case where the three heavy singlet neutrinos have $L=3,-2,-1$.
We discuss a linear seesaw model with as minimum field content as possible, introducing a modular $S_4$ with the help of gauged $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetries. Due to rank two neutrino mass matrix, we have a vanishing neutrino mass eigenvalue, and only the normal mass hierarchy of neutrinos is favored through the modular $S_4$ symmetry. In our numerical $Δχ^2$ analysis, we especially find rather sharp prediction on sum of neutrino masses to be around $60$ meV in addition to the other predictions.
We discuss leptogenesis within a TeV-scale inverse seesaw model for neutrino masses where the seesaw structure is guaranteed by an SO(10) symmetry. Contrary to the TeV-scale type-I gauged seesaw, the constraints imposed by successful leptogenesis in these models are rather weak and allow for the extra gauge bosons W_R and Z' to be in the LHC accessible range. The key differences in the inverse seesaw compared to the type I case are: (i) decay and inverse decay rates larger than the scatterings involving extra gauge bosons due to the large Yukawa couplings and (ii) the suppression of the washou…
Despite the popularity of two-Higgs-doublet models (2HDMs) with a gauged abelian flavor symmetry, the allowed Yukawa textures have only been partly explored so far. In this work, we classify and compare every anomaly-free instance, in the case of having two generations of right-handed neutrinos and a type-I seesaw mechanism. We found 16 valid implementations in total, out of which 11 agree well with current experimental bounds. To our knowledge, neither of these models have been considered previously.
In an endeavor to explain the light neutrino masses and dark matter (DM) simultaneously, we study a gauged $U(1)_{\rm B-L}$ extension of the standard model (SM). The neutrino masses are generated through a variant of type-II seesaw mechanism in which one of the scalar triplets has a mass in a scale that is accessible at the present generation colliders. Three SM singlet right chiral fermions $χ_{iR}$($i=e,μ,τ$) with $\rm B-L$ charges -4, -4, +5 are invoked to cancel the $\rm B-L$ gauge anomalies and the lightest one among these three fermions becomes a viable DM candidate as their stability is…
If the minimal standard model of quarks and leptons is extended to include just a righthanded partner to nu_tau, then the quantum number B-3L_tau can be added as a gauge symmetry without the appearance of anomalies. A suitable extension of the scalar sector allows one neutrino to have a seesaw mass, and the other two to have radiative masses, with acceptable phenomenological values for neutrino oscillations. The B-3L_tau gauge boson may be light and be observable through its decay into tau^+ tau^-.
We discuss a class of left-right symmetric models where the light neutrino masses originate dominantly from type I seesaw mechanism along with a sub-dominant type II seesaw contribution. The dominant type I seesaw gives rise to tri-bimaximal type neutrino mixing whereas sub-dominant type II seesaw acts as a small perturbation giving rise to non-zero $θ_{13}$ in our model which also has TeV scale right-handed neutrinos and $Z^\prime$ gauge boson thereby making the model verifiable at current accelerator experiments. Sub-dominant type II and dominant type I seesaw can be naturally accommodated b…
We study neutrino and dark matter based on a gauged $U(1)_R$ symmetry in a framework of radiative seesaw scenario. Identifying dark matter as a bosoninc particle, it interacts with quark and lepton sectors through vector-like heavier quark and leptons, and plays an role in generating neutrino mass matrix together with neutral heavier fermions. We explore several constraints for masses and couplings related to dark matter by computing relic density and direct search, taking the neutrino oscillation, lepton flavor violations, and muon anomalous magnetic moment into account. Finally, we briefly m…
I review a recent work on gauged flavor with left-right symmetry, where all masses and all Yukawa couplings owe their origin to spontaneous flavor symmetry breaking. This is suggested as a precursor to a full understanding of flavor of quarks and leptons. An essential ingredient of this approach is the existence of heavy vector-like fermions, which is the home of flavor, which subsequently gets transmitted to the familiar quarks and leptons via the seesaw mechanism. I then discuss implications of extending this idea to include supersymmetry and finally speculate on a possible grand unified mod…
We propose a radiative seesaw model with a hidden $U(1)$ gauge symmetry. In order to have anomaly cancellations, we need to introduce several new fermions that contribute to muon anomalous magnetic dipole moment $(g-2)_μ$ as well as explain the neutrino oscillation data. We also consider a fermionic dark matter candidate that correlates with $(g-2)_μ$ and neutrino mass matrix at the same time. We show allowed regions in our input parameters satisfying several constraints. Finally, we also briefly discuss the possibility of the resolution of the Hubble tension via neutrino self-interactions med…
Horizontal flavor symmetries can drastically suppress Dirac neutrino masses well below those of the corresponding charged leptons. We show that models can be constructed where the light neutrino mass eigenvalues are small enough to give the MSW solution to the solar neutrino problem, with a right-handed neutrino scale no larger than a TeV. We present a model of this type where the right-handed neutrino scale is generated by the spontaneous breakdown of gauged U(1)$_{B-L}$, in a radiative breaking scenario driven by the right-handed neutrino Yukawa couplings. The model allows for a solution to …
We revisit the recently studied supersymmetric gauged inverse seesaw model (An et al., 2012) to incorporate astrophysical constraints on lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) lifetime such that LSP constitutes the dark matter of the Universe. The authors in An et al. (2012) considered light sneutrino LSP that can play the role of inelastic dark matter (iDM) such that desired iDM mass splitting and tiny Majorana masses of neutrinos can have a common origin. Here we consider a generalized version of this model without any additional discrete symmetry. We point out that due to spontaneous R-pari…
We present the radiative corrections to neutrino masses in a minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model with local $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetry. At tree level, three tiny active neutrinos and two nearly massless sterile neutrinos can be obtained through the seesaw mechanism. Considering the one-loop corrections to the neutrino masses, the numerical results indicate that two sterile neutrinos obtain ${\rm KeV}$ masses and the small active-sterile neutrino mixing angles. The lighter sterile neutrino is a very interesting dark matter candidate in cosmology. Meanwhile the active neutrinos mix…
We propose a $B-L$ gauged extension of the Standard Model where light neutrino masses arise from type III seesaw mechanism. Unlike the minimal $B-L$ model with three right handed neutrinos having unit lepton number each, the model with three fermion triplets is however not anomaly free. We show that the leftover triangle anomalies can be cancelled by two neutral Dirac fermions having fractional $B-L$ charges, both of which are naturally stable by virtue of a remnant $\mathbb{Z}_2 \times \mathbb{Z}'_2$ symmetry, naturally leading to a two component dark matter scenario without any ad-hoc symmet…
The latest measurements of the anomalous muon magnetic moment $a^{}_μ\equiv (g^{}_μ- 2)/2$ show a $4.2σ$ discrepancy between the theoretical prediction of the Standard Model and the experimental observations. In order to account for such a discrepancy, we consider a possible extension of the type-(I+II) seesaw model for neutrino mass generation with a gauged $L^{}_μ- L^{}_τ$ symmetry. By explicitly constructing an economical model with only one extra scalar singlet, we demonstrate that the gauge symmetry $U(1)^{}_{L^{}_μ- L^{}_τ}$ and its spontaneous breaking are crucially important not only f…
We propose a radiative seesaw model with a light dark matter candidate (DM) under modular $A_4$ and gauged $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetries, in which neutrino masses are generated via one-loop level, and we have a bosonic DM candidate $\sim 0.01-50$ GeV. DM is stabilized by nonzero modular weight and a remnant $Z_2$ symmetry of $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetry. The naturalness of tiny DM mass is indirectly realized by the radiatively induced mass of neutral fermions that interact with our DM candidate. Thus, DM mass does not have to exceed the neutral fermion masses, whose scale is assumed to be 50 GeV. Taking se…
We consider a class of gauged $U(1)$ extensions of the Standard Model (SM), where the light neutrino masses are generated by an inverse seesaw mechanism. In addition to the three right handed neutrinos, we add three singlet fermions and demand an extra $Z_2$ symmetry under which, the third generations of both of the neutral fermions are odd, which in turn gives us a stable dark matter candidate. We express the $U(1)$ charges of all the fermions in terms of the U(1) charges of the standard model Higgs and the new complex scalar. We study the bounds on the parameters of the model from vacuum sta…
We argue that simpler fermionic contents, responsible for the extension of the standard model with gauged lepton and baryon charges, can be constructed by assuming existence of so-called leptoquarks (j,k) with exotic electric charges q_j=1/2, q_k=-1/2. Some new features in our model are that (i) as the natural consequences of anomaly cancelation the right-handed neutrinos exist, and the number of the observed fermion families is equal to the number of the fundamental colors; (ii) although the lepton and baryon charges are conserved, the neutrinos can obtain small masses through the type I sees…
In direct breaking of non-supersymmetric SO(10) to the standard model, we investigate the possibility that dark matter (DM) decaying through its mixing with right-handed neutrino (RH$ν$) produces high energy IceCube neutrinos having type-I seesaw masses. Instead of one universal mixing and one common heavy RH$ν$ mass proposed in a recent standard model extension, we find that underlying quark-lepton symmetry resulting in naturally hierarchical RH$ν$ masses predict a separate mixing with each of them. We determine these mixings from the seesaw prediction of the DM decay rates into the light neu…
We propose a new model where the Dirac mass term for neutrinos, the Majorana mass term for right-handed neutrinos, and the other new fermion masses arise via the spontaneous breakdown of the $U(1)_{B-L}$ gauge symmetry. The anomaly-free condition gives four sets of assignment of the B-L charge to new particles, and three of these sets have an associated global $U(1)_{DM}$ symmetry which stabilizes dark matter candidates. The dark matter candidates contribute to generating the Dirac mass term for neutrinos at the one-loop level. Consequently, tiny neutrino masses are generated at the two-loop l…
We present an analysis of normal and inverted hierarchical neutrino mass models within the framework of tri-bi-maximal (TBM) mixing. Considering the neutrinos to be quasi-degenerate (QDN), we study two different neutrino mass models with mass eigenvalues $(m_1, -m_2, m_3)$ and $(m_1, m_2, m_3)$ for both normal hierarchical (NH) and inverted hierarchical (IH) cases. Parameterizing the neutrino mass matrix using best fit oscillation and cosmology data for a QDN scenario, we find the right-handed Majorana mass matrix using type I seesaw formula for two types of Dirac neutrino mass matrices: charg…
Knowledge of the mechanism of neutrino mass generation would help understand a lot more about Lepton Number Violation (LNV), the cosmological evolution of the Universe, or the evolu tion of astronomical objects. Here we propose a verifiable and viable extension of the Standard model for neutrino mass generation, with a low-scale seesaw mechanism via LNV condensation in the sector of sterile neutrinos. To prove the concept, we analyze a simplified model of just one single family of elementary particles and check it against a set of phenomenological constraints coming from electroweak symmetry b…
In a bid to simultaneous explanation of dark matter (DM) and tiny but non-zero masses of left-handed neutrinos, we propose a minimal extension of the Standard Model (SM) by a vector-like fermion doublet and three right handed (RH) singlet neutrinos. The DM arises as a mixture of the neutral component of the fermion doublet and one of the RH neutrinos, both assumed to be odd under an additional $\mathcal{Z}_2$ symmetry. As a result, the DM emerges to be a dominantly Majorana particle and escapes from $Z$-mediated direct search constraints to mark a significant difference from singlet-doublet Di…
We explore the discovery potential of doubly charged Higgs bosons (ξ^{\pm\pm}) at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). For moderate values of the coupling constants in the original Type-II seesaw model, these doubly-charged Higgs bosons are not accessible by any present or near future collider experiments. In a gauged B-L symmetric model we introduce two triplet scalars to execute a variant of type-II seesaw at the TeV scale. This leads to a clear like-sign dilepton signal in the decay mode of ξ^{\pm\pm} for a small vacuum expectation value (\lsim 10^5 \eV) of the triplet scalar ξ= (ξ^{++}, ξ…
We propose a gauged $U(1)_{B-L}$ extended two Higgs doublet model to explain both neutrino mass and lepton anomalous magnetic moments ($g-2$). Neutrino mass is generated via an inverse seesaw mechanism by introducing singlet fermions. Especially, we update the result of muon $g-2$ in light of the very recent report by E989 experiment at Fermilab, indicating $a_μ^{\rm FNAL}=116592040(54)\times 10^{-11}$. Combining BNL result, we have the following deviation from the standard model prediction $Δa_μ=(2.51\pm 5.9)\times10^{-10}$ at 4.2 $σ$. Thanks to an appropriate assignment for $U(1)_{B-L}\times…
We consider gauged U(1) extensions of the standard model of particle physics with three right-handed sterile neutrinos and a singlet scalar. The neutrinos obtain mass via the type I seesaw mechanism. We compute the one loop corrections to the elements of the tree level mass matrix of the light neutrinos and show explicitly the cancellation of the gauge dependent terms. We present a general formula for the gauge independent, finite one-loop corrections for arbitrary number new U(1) groups, new complex scalars and sterile neutrinos. We estimate the size of the corrections relative to the tree le…
Gauging the global $B-L$ (Baryon number minus Lepton number) symmetry in the Standard Model (SM) is well-motivated since anomaly cancellations require the introduction of three right-handed neutrinos (RHNs) which play an essential role in naturally generating tiny SM neutrino masses through the seesaw mechanism. In the context of the $B-L$ extended SM, we propose a pseudo-Goldstone boson dark matter (DM) scenario in which the imaginary component of a complex $B-L$ Higgs field serves as the DM in the universe. The DM relic density is determined by the SM Higgs boson mediated process, but its el…
We consider a singlet fermionic dark matter (DM) $χ$ in a gauged $U(1)_{B-3L_i}$ extension of the Standard Model (SM), with $i\in e\,,μ\,,τ$, and derive bounds on the allowed parameter space, considering its production via freeze-in mechanism. The DM communicates with the SM only through flavorful vector-portal $Z_\text{B3L}$ due to its non-trivial charge $x$ under $U(1)_{B-3L_{i}}$, which also guarantees the stability of the DM over the age of the Universe for $x\neq\{\pm 3/2,\pm 3\}$. Considering $Z_\text{B3L}$ to lie within the mass range of a few MeV up to a few GeV, we obtain constraints …
