In this paper, we study the regularity of asymptotically hyperbolic metrics with Einstein condition near boundary and Weyl curvature smooth enough in arbitrary dimension. Following Michael Anderson's method, we show that $C^{m,α}$ conformally compact Riemannian metrics with Einstein equation vanishing to finite order near boundary have conformal compactifications that are $C^{m+2,α}$ up to the boundary when Weyl curvature is in $C^{m,α}$ and the boundary metric is in $C^{m+2,α}$ where $m\geq 3.$
By making use of the nice behavior of Hawking masses of slices of a weak solution of inverse mean curvature flow in three dimensional asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds, we are able to show that each slice of the flow is star-shaped after a long time, and then we get the regularity of the weak solution of inverse mean curvature flow in asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds. As an application, we prove that the limit of Hawking mass of the slices of a weak solution of inverse mean curvature flow with any connected $C^2$-smooth surface as initial data in asymptotically ADS-Schwarzschild manifolds…
We consider asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds whose metrics have Sobolev-class regularity, and introduce several technical tools for studying PDEs on such manifolds. Our results employ two novel families of function spaces suitable for metrics potentially having a large amount of interior differentiability, but whose Sobolev regularity implies only a Hölder continuous conformal structure at infinity. We establish Fredholm theorems for elliptic operators arising from metrics in these families. To demonstrate the utility of our methods, we solve the Yamabe problem in this category. As a specia…
In this paper, we study the finite boundary regularity and estimates of an asymptotically hyperbolic Einstein manifold in even dimension $n+1.$ We show that if the initial compactification is $C^{n-1}$ and the $(n-3)$-th derivative of its scalar curvature is Hölder continuous, then the AHE metric is $C^{m,α}$ conformally compact provided the boundary metric is $C^{m,α}$. This is an improvement of Helliwell's result. We also provide an estimate of the Yamabe compactification metric in the new structure.
In this paper, we extend the classical Weyl's lemma to $RCD(K,N)$ metric measure spaces. As its applications, we show the local regularity of solutions for Poisson equations and a Liouville-type result for $L^1$ very weak harmonic functions on $RCD(K,N)$ spaces. Meanwhile, a byproduct is that we obtain a gradient estimate for solutions to a class of elliptic equations with dis-continuous coefficients.
We prove uniqueness, existence, and regularity results for maximal hypersurfaces in spacetimes with a conformal completion at timelike infinity and asymptotically constant scalar curvature, as relevant for asymptotically AdS spacetimes. This work is dedicated to Yvonne Choquet-Bruhat on the occasion of her upcoming 99th birthday.
This paper is motivated by the non-linear stability problem for the expanding region of Kerr de Sitter cosmologies in the context of Einstein's equations with positive cosmological constant. We show that under dynamically realistic assumptions the conformal Weyl curvature of the spacetime decays towards future null infinity. More precisely we establish decay estimates for Weyl fields which are (i) uniform (with respect to a global time function) (ii) optimal (with respect to the rate) and (iii) consistent with a global existence proof (in terms of regularity). The proof relies on a geometric p…
