The $k$-Cauchy-Fueter operators, $k=0,1,\ldots$, are quaternionic counterparts of the Cauchy-Riemann operator in the theory of several complex variables. The weighted $L^2$ method to solve Cauchy-Riemann equation is applied to find the canonical solution to the non-homogeneous $k$-Cauchy-Fueter equation in a weighted $L^2$-space, by establishing the weighted $L^2$ estimate. The weighted $k$-Bergman space is the space of weighted $L^2$ integrable functions annihilated by the $k$-Cauchy-Fueter operator, as the counterpart of the Fock space of weighted $L^2$-holomorphic functions on $\mathbb{C}^n$. We introduce the $k$-Bergman orthogonal projection to this closed subspace, which can be nicely expressed in terms of the canonical solution operator, and its matrix kernel function. We also find the asymptotic decay for this matrix kernel function.
This paper deals with some special integral transforms of Bargmann-Fock type in the setting of quaternionic valued slice hyperholomorphic and Cauchy-Fueter regular functions. The construction is based on the well-known Fueter mapping theorem. In particular, starting with the normalized Hermite functions we can construct an Appell system of quaternionic regular polynomials. The ranges of such integral transforms are quaternionic reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces of regular functions. New integral representations and generating functions in this quaternionic setting are obtained in both the Fock…
The $k$-Cauchy-Fueter operator $ D_0^{(k) } $ on one dimensional quaternionic space $\mathbb{H}$ is the Euclidean version of helicity $\frac k 2$ massless field operator on the Minkowski space in physics. The $k$-Cauchy-Fueter equation for $k\geq 2$ is overdetermined and its compatibility condition is given by the $k$-Cauchy-Fueter complex. In quaternionic analysis, these complexes play the role of Dolbeault complex in several complex variables. We prove that a natural boundary value problem associated to this complex is regular. Then by using the theory of regular boundary value problems, we …
The $k$-Cauchy-Fueter operators and complexes are quaternionic counterparts of the Cauchy-Riemann operator and the Dolbeault complex in the theory of several complex variables. To develop the function theory of several quaternionic variables, we need to solve the non-homogeneous $k$-Cauchy-Fueter equation over a domain under the compatibility condition, which naturally leads to a Neumann problem. The method of solving the $\overline{\partial}$-Neumann problem in the theory of several complex variables is applied to this Neumann problem. We introduce notions of $k$-plurisubharmonic functions an…
We construct the tangential $k$-Cauchy-Fueter complexes on the right quaternionic Heisenberg group, as the quaternionic counterpart of $\overline{\partial}_b$-complex on the Heisenberg group in the theory of several complex variables. We can use the $L^2$ estimate to solve the nonhomogeneous tangential $k$-Cauchy-Fueter equation under the compatibility condition over this group modulo a lattice. This solution has an important vanishing property when the group is higher dimensional. It allows us to prove the Hartogs' extension phenomenon for $k$-CF functions, which are the quaternionic counterp…
The $k$-Cauchy-Fueter complex, $k=0,1,\ldots$, in quaternionic analysis are the counterpart of the Dolbeault complex in the theory of several complex variables. In this paper, we construct explicitly boundary complexes of these complexes on boundaries of domains, corresponding to the tangential Cauchy-Riemann complex in complex analysis. They are only known boundary complexes outside of complex analysis that have interesting applications to the function theory. As an application, we establish the Hartogs-Bochner extension for $k$-regular functions, the quaternionic counterpart of holomorphic fu…
In this paper we provide an alternative method to construct the Fueter primitive of an axial monogenic function of degree $k$, which is complementary to the one used in [F. Colombo, I. Sabadini and F. Sommen, The inverse Fueter mapping theorem in integral form using spherical monogenics, Israel Journal of Mathematics, 2012]. As a byproduct, we obtain an explicit description of the kernel of the Fueter mapping. We also apply our method to obtain the Fueter primitives of the Cauchy kernels with singularities on the unit sphere.
Slice Fueter-regular functions, originally called slice Dirac-regular functions, are generalized holomorphic functions defined over the octonion algebra $\mathbb{O}$, recently introduced by M. Jin, G. Ren and I. Sabadini. A function $f:Ω_D\subset\mathbb{O}\to\mathbb{O}$ is called (quaternionic) slice Fueter-regular if, given any quaternionic subalgebra $\mathbb{H}_\mathbb{I}$ of $\mathbb{O}$ generated by a pair $\mathbb{I}=(I,J)$ of orthogonal imaginary units $I$ and $J$ ($\mathbb{H}_\mathbb{I}$ is a `quaternionic slice' of $\mathbb{O}$), the restriction of $f$ to $Ω_D\cap\mathbb{H}_\mathbb{I}…
The range of the Bergman space B_2(G) under the Cauchy transform K is described for a large class of domains. For a quasidisk G the relation K(B_2^*(G))=B_2^1(\mathbb C\setminus\bar{G}) is proved.
We obtain several estimates for the $L^p$ operator norms of the Bergman and Cauchy-Szegö projections over the the Siegel upper half-space. As a by-product, we also determine the precise value of the $L^p$ operator norm of a family of integral operators over the Siegel upper half-space.
The so-called weighted solid Cauchy transform, from inside the unit disc into the complement of its closure, is considered and their basic properties such as boundedness is studied for appropriate probability measures. The action the disc polynomials is explicitly computed and used to describe the range of its restriction on the weighted true poly-Bergman spaces.
We propose a new way to compute the radius of convergence for Quaternionic hyperholomorphic functions and for Octonion analytic functions. We extend the theorem of Cauchy Hadamard and the theorem of Abel on convergence of series to Quaternionic analysis with the Fueter Operator, to Quaternionic analysis with the Moisil Theodoresco operator and to the Octonion analysis with the Fueter operator.
The problem of describing the range of a Bergman space B_2(G) under the Cauchy transform K for a Jordan domain G was solved by Napalkov (Jr) and Yulmukhametov. It turned out that K(B_2(G))=B_2^1(C\bar G) if and only if G is a quasidisk; here B_2^1(C\bar G) is the Dirichlet space of the complement of \bar G. The description of K(B_2(G)) for an integrable Jordan domain is given in [S. Merenkov, "On the Cauchy transform of the Bergman space", Mat. Fiz. Anal. Geom., 7 (2000), no. 1, 119-127]. In the present paper we give a description of K(B_2(G,ω)) analogous to the one given in [S. Merenkov, "On …
The Fueter-Sce-Qian theorem provides a way of inducing axial monogenic functions in $\mathbb{R}^{m+1}$ from holomorphic intrinsic functions of one complex variable. This result was initially proved by Fueter and Sce for the cases where the dimension $m$ is odd using pointwise differentiation, while the extension to the cases where $m$ is even was proved by Qian using the corresponding Fourier multipliers. In this paper, we provide an alternative description of the Fueter-Sce-Qian theorem in terms of the generalized CK-extension. The latter characterizes axial null solutions of the Cauchy-Riema…
We first prove a Cauchy's integral theorem and Cauchy type formula for certain inhomogeneous Cimmino system from quaternionic analysis perspective. The second part of the paper directs the attention towards some applications of the mentioned results, dealing in particular with four kinds of weighted Bergman spaces, reproducing kernels, projection and conformal invariant properties.
We prove some extension theorems for quaternionic holomorphic functions in the sense of Fueter. Starting from the existence theorem for the nonhomogeneous Cauchy-Riemann-Fueter Problem, we prove that an $\mathbb{H}$-valued function $f$ on a smooth hypersurface, satisfying suitable tangential conditions, is locally a jump of two $\mathbb{H}$-holomorphic functions. From this, we obtain, in particular, the existence of the solution for the Dirichlet Problem with smooth data. We extend these results to the continous case. In the final part, we discuss the octonian case.
In this paper we study left and right n-regular functions that originally were introduced in [FL4]. When n=1, these functions are the usual quaternionic left and right regular functions. We show that n-regular functions satisfy most of the properties of the usual regular functions, including the conformal invariance under the fractional linear transformations by the conformal group and the Cauchy-Fueter type reproducing formulas. Arguably, these Cauchy-Fueter type reproducing formulas for n-regular functions are quaternionic analogues of Cauchy's integral formula for the n-th order pole expres…
We prove upper pointwise estimates for the Bergman kernel of the weighted Fock space of entire functions in $L^2(e^{-2ϕ})$ where $ϕ$ is a subharmonic function with $Δϕ$ a doubling measure. We derive estimates for the canonical solution operator to the inhomogeneous Cauchy-Riemann equation and we characterize the compactness of this operator in terms of $Δϕ$.
We solve Chui's conjecture on the simplest fractions (i.e., sums of Cauchy kernels with unit coefficients) in weighted (Hilbert) Bergman spaces. Namely, for a wide class of weights, we prove that for every $N$, the simplest fractions with $N$ poles on the unit circle have minimal norm if and only if the poles are equispaced on the circle. We find sharp asymptotics of these norms. Furthermore, we describe the closure of the simplest fractions in weighted Bergman spaces, using an $L^2$ version of Thompson's theorem on dominated approximation by simplest fractions.
The Fueter-Sce-Qian (FSQ for short) mapping theorem is a two-steps procedure to extend holomorphic functions of one complex variable to slice monogenic functions and to monogenic functions. Using the Cauchy formula of slice monogenic functions the FSQ-theorem admits an integral representation for $n$ odd. In this paper we show that the relation $ Δ_{n+1}^{(n-1)/2}S_L^{-1}=\mathcal{F}^L_n $ between the slice monogenic Cauchy kernel $S_L^{-1}$ and the F-kernel $\mathcal{F}^L_n$, that appear in the integral form of the FSQ-theorem for $n$ odd, holds also in the case we consider the fractional pow…
We introduce the notion of rationality for hyperholomorphic functions (functions in the kernel of the Cauchy-Fueter operator). Following the case of one complex variable, we give three equivalent definitions: the first in terms of Cauchy-Kovalevskaya quotients of polynomials, the second in terms of realizations and the third in terms of backward-shift invariance. Also introduced and studied are the counterparts of the Arveson space and Blaschke factors.
Motivated by the hyper-holomorphic case we introduce and study rational functions in the setting of Hida's white noise space. The Fueter polynomials are replaced by a basis computed in terms of the Hermite functions, and the Cauchy-Kovalevskaya product is replaced by the Wick product.
We present the theory of Cauchy-Fantappié integral operators, with emphasis on the situation when the domain of integration, $D$, has minimal boundary regularity. Among these operators we focus on those that are more closely related to the classical Cauchy integral for a planar domain, whose kernel is a holomorphic function of the parameter $z\in D$. The goal is to prove $L^p$ estimates for these operators and, as a consequence, to obtain $L^p$ estimates for the canonical Cauchy-Szegö and Bergman projection operators (which are not of Cauchy-Fantappié type).
The Fueter-Sce-Qian mapping theorem is a two steps procedure to extend holomorphic functions of one complex variable to quaternionic or Clifford algebra-valued functions in the kernel of a suitable generalized Cauchy-Riemann operator. Using the Cauchy formula of slice monogenic functions it is possible to give the Fueter-Sce-Qian extension theorem an integral form and to define the $\mathcal{F}$-functional calculus for $n$-tuples of commuting operators. This functional calculus is defined on the $S$-spectrum but it generates a monogenic functional calculus in the spirit of McIntosh and collabo…
We describe the range of of weighted Cauchy transform and its $k$-Bergman projection when action on weighted true poly-Bargmann spaces constituting an orthogonal Hilbertian decomposition of the Hilbert space of Gaussian functions on the complex plane.
Quaternionic analysis is regarded as a broadly accepted branch of classical analysis referring to many different types of extensions of the Cauchy-Riemann equations to the quaternion skew field $\mathbb H$. In this work we deals with a well-known $(θ, u)-$hyperholomorphic $\mathbb H-$valued functions class related to elements of the kernel of the Helmholtz operator with a parameter $u \in\mathbb H$, just in the same way as the usual quaternionic analysis is related to the set of the harmonic functions. Given a domain $Ω\subset\mathbb H\cong \mathbb C^2$, we define and study a Bergman spaces th…
Suppose $f\in L^p(\mathbb{D})$, where $p\geq1$ and $\mathbb{D}$ is the unit disk. Let $\mathfrak{J}_0$ be the integral operator defined as follows: $\mathfrak{J}_0[f](z)=\int_{\mathbb{D}}\frac{z}{1-\bar{w}z}f(w)\mathrm{d}A(w)$, where $z$, $w\in\mathbb{D}$ and $\mathrm{d}A(w)=\frac{1}π\mathrm{d}x\mathrm{d}y$ is the normalized area measure on $\mathbb{D}$. Suppose $\mathfrak{J}_0^*$ is the adjoint operator of $\mathfrak{J}_0$. Then $\mathfrak{J}^*_0=\mathfrak{B}\mathfrak{C}$, where $\mathfrak{B}$ and $\mathfrak{C}$ are the operators induced by the Bergman projection and Cauchy transform, respect…
Firstly, we consider the unitary geometry of two exceptional Cartan domains $\Re_{V}(16)$ and $\Re_{VI}(27)$. We obtain the explicit formulas of Bergman kernal funtion, Cauchy-Szegö kernel, Poinsson kernel and Bergman metric for $\Re_{V}(16)$ and $\Re_{VI}(27)$. Secondly, we give a class of invariant differential operators for Cartan domain $\Re$ of dimension n: If the Bergman metric of $\Re$ is $$ds^{2}=\sum\limits_{i,j=1}^{n}g_{ij}dz_{i}d\bar{z}_{j}, T(z,\bar{z})=(g_{ij})$$ and $$L(u)=T^{-1}(z,\bar{z}) [\frac{\partial^2u}{\partial z_i\partial\bar{z}_j}],$$then $$L_j(u)=\{\mbox {The sum of al…
We investigate some spectral properties of the weighted quaternionic Cauchy transform when acting on the right quaternionic Hilbert space of Gaussian integrable functions. We study its boundedness, compactness, and memberships to the $k$-Schatten class, and we identify its range. This is done by means of its restriction to the n-th S-polyregular Bargmann space of the second kind, for which we provide an explicit closed expression for its action on the quaternionic Itô--Hermite polynomials constituting an orthogonal basis. We also exhibit an orthogonal basis of eigenfunctions of its n-Bergman p…
We characterize those pairs of weights $ σ$ on $ \mathbb{R}$ and $ τ$ on $ \mathbb{C}_+$ for which the Cauchy transform $\mathsf{C}_σ f (z) \equiv \int_{\mathbb{R}} \frac {f(x)} {x-z} \; σ(dx)$, $ z\in \mathbb{C}_+$, is bounded from $L ^2(\mathbb{R};σ)$ to $L ^{2}(\mathbb{C}_+; τ)$. The characterization is in terms of an $A_2$ condition on the pair of weights and testing conditions for the transform, extending the recent solution of the two weight inequality for the Hilbert transform. As corollaries of this result we derive (1) a characterization of embedding measures for the model space $K_\v…
We present some new relations between the Cauchy-Riemann operator on the real Clifford algebra $\mathbb R_n$ of signature $(0,n)$ and slice-regular functions on $\mathbb R_n$. The class of slice-regular functions, which comprises all polynomials with coefficients on one side, is the base of a recent function theory in several hypercomplex settings, including quaternions and Clifford algebras. In this paper we present formulas, relating the Cauchy-Riemann operator, the spherical Dirac operator, the differential operator characterizing slice regularity, and the {spherical derivative} of a slice …
This is (raw) lecture notes of the course read on 6th European intensive course on Complex Analysis (Coimbra, Portugal) in 2000. Our purpose is to describe a general framework for generalizations of the complex analysis. As a consequence a classification scheme for different generalizations is obtained. The framework is based on wavelets (coherent states) in Banach spaces generated by ``admissible'' group representations. Reduced wavelet transform allows naturally describe in abstract term main objects of an analytical function theory: the Cauchy integral formula, the Hardy and Bergman spaces,…
In the series of papers [FL,FL2] we approach quaternionic analysis from the point of view of representation theory of the conformal group SL(4,C) and its real forms. This approach has proven very fruitful and pushed further the parallel with complex analysis and develop a rich theory. In [FL2] we study the counterparts of Cauchy-Fueter and Poisson formulas on the spaces of split quaternions H_R and Minkowski space M and show that they solve the problem of separation of the discrete and continuous series on SL(2,R) and the imaginary Lobachevski space SL(2,C)/SL(2,R). In particular, we introduce…
If $\,μ\,$ is a finite positive Borel measure on the interval $\,[0,1)$, we let $\,\mathcal H_μ\,$ be the Hankel matrix $\,(μ_{n, k})_{n,k\ge 0}\,$ with entries $\,μ_{n, k}=μ_{n+k}$, where, for $\,n\,=\,0, 1, 2, \dots $, $μ_n\,$ denotes the moment of order $\,n\,$ of $\,μ$. This matrix induces formally the operator $\,\mathcal{H}_μ(f)(z)= \sum_{n=0}^{\infty}\left(\sum_{k=0}^{\infty} μ_{n,k}{a_k}\right)z^n\,$ on the space of all analytic functions $\,f(z)=\sum_{k=0}^\infty a_kz^k\,$, in the unit disc $\,\mathbb D $. When $\,μ\,$ is the Lebesgue measure on $\,[0,1)\,$ the operator $\,\mathcal H_…
