Motivated by the precision attained by SQUID devices in measuring magnetic fields, we study in this article the thermodynamic behaviour of a fermion gas in two and three dimen\-sional spatial space with noncommutative coordinates and momenta. An explicit expression, both for Landau's diamagnetism and Pauli's paramagnetism, is obtained for the magnetization and magnetic susceptibility of the gas in two and three spatial dimensions. These results show that an upper bound for the noncommutative parameter $θ\lesssim (10 \,\text{Gev})^{-2}$ could be obtained.
Starting from noncommutative Fermi theory in two-dimensions, we construct a deformed Kac-Moody algebra between its vector and Chiral currents . The higher-order corrections to the deformed Kac-Moody algebra are explicitly calculated. We observe that the ordinary Schwinger terms are not affected by noncommutativity. Finally we conclude that the deformed Kac-Moody algebra can be given in term of ordinary Kac-Moody algebra plus infinitely many Lie algebraic structures at each non-zero power of the antisymmetric coefficient $θ$.
In this paper, we investigated the Fisk-Tait equation in interaction with an external magnetic field in noncommutative space-time. Knowing that the space-time noncommutativity is introduced through the Moyal-Weyl product known method. Consequently, we studied the continuity equation in both commutative and noncommutative space-time; there we examined the influence of the space-time noncommutativity on the current density quadri-vector. Moreover, we find that the total charge obtained from the probability density still indefinite even when space does not commute. Furthermore, we found the spin …
The quantum dynamics of nonrelativistic single particle systems involving noncommutative coordinates, usually referred to as noncommutative quantum mechanics, has lately been the object of several investigations. In this note we pursue these studies for the case of multi-particle systems. We use as a prototype the degenerate electron gas whose dynamics is well known in the commutative limit. Our central aim here is to understand qualitatively, rather than quantitatively, the main modifications induced by the presence of noncommutative coordinates. We shall first see that the noncommutativity m…
Motivated by the doubly special relativity theories and noncommutative spacetime structures, thermodynamical properties of the photon gas in a phase space with compact spatial momentum space is studied. At the high temperature limit, the upper bounds for the internal energy and entropy are obtained which are determined by the size of the compact spatial momentum space. The maximum internal energy turns out to be of the order of the Planck energy and the entropy bound is then determined by the factor $\big(V/l_{_{\rm Pl}}^3\big)$ through the relevant identification of the size of the momentum s…
We propose a way to understand the 3 fermion generations by the algebraic structures of noncommutative geometry, which is a promising framework to unify the standard model and general relativity. We make the tensor product extension and the quaternion extension on the framework. Each of the two extensions alone keeps the action invariant, and we consider them as the almost trivial structures of the geometry. We combine the two extensions, and show the corresponding physical effects, i.e., the emergence of 3 fermion generations and the mass relationships among those generations. We define the c…
This work addresses the computation of the propability of fermionic particle pair production in $(d+1)-$ dimensional noncommutative Moyal space. Using the Seiberg-Witten maps that establish relations between noncommutative and commutative field variables, to first order in the noncommutative parameter $θ$, we derive the probability density of vacuum-vacuum pair production of Dirac particles. The cases of constant electromagnetic, alternating time-dependent and space-dependent electric fields are considered and discussed.
By application of the general twist-induced star-deformation procedure we translate second quantization of a system of bosons/fermions on a symmetric spacetime in a non-commutative language. The procedure deforms in a coordinated way the spacetime algebra and its symmetries, the wave-mechanical description of a system of n bosons/fermions, the algebra of creation and annihilation operators and also the commutation relations of the latter with functions of spacetime; our key requirement is the mode-decomposition independence of the quantum field. In a conservative view, the use of noncommutativ…
In this paper, we discuss two features of the noncommmutative geometry and spectral action approach to the Standard Model: the fact that the model is inherently Euclidean, and that it requires a quadrupling of the fermionic degrees of freedom. We show how the two issues are intimately related. We give a precise prescription for the Wick rotation from the Euclidean theory to the Lorentzian one, eliminating the extra degrees of freedom. This requires not only projecting out mirror fermions, as has been done so far, and which leads to the correct Pfaffian, but also the elimination of the remainin…
Incompressible Hydrodynamics on a Noncommutative D3-Brane
An analogy with real Clifford algebras on even-dimensional vector spaces suggests to assign a couple of space and time dimensions modulo 8 to any algebra (represented over a complex Hilbert space) containing two self-adjoint involutions and an anti-unitary operator with specific commutation relations. It is shown that this assignment is compatible with the tensor product: the space and time dimensions of the tensor product are the sums of the space and time dimensions of its factors. This could provide an interpretation of the presence of such algebras in PT-symmetric Hamiltonians or the descr…
The noncommutativity of the space-time had important implications for the very early Universe, when its size was of the order of the Planck length. An important implication of this effect is the deformation of the standard dispersion relation of special relativity. Moreover, in the Planck regime gravity itself must be described by a quantum theory. We consider the implications of the modified dispersion relations for a photon gas, filling the early Universe, in the framework of Loop Quantum Cosmology, a theoretical approach to quantum gravity. We consider three types of deformations of the dis…
In this Letter we construct the noncommutative (NC) gravity model on the $θ$-constant NC space-time. We start from the NC $SO(2,3)_\star$ gauge theory and use the enveloping algebra approach and the Seiberg-Witten map to construct the effective NC gravity action. The action and the equations of motion are expanded up to second order in the deformation parameter. The equations of motion show that the noncommutativity plays a role of a source for the curvature and/or torsion. Finally, we calculate the NC corrections to the Minkowski space-time and we show that in the presence of noncommutativity…
We review recent progress in the analytic study of random matrix models suggested by noncommutative geometry. One considers fuzzy spectral triples where the space of possible Dirac operators is assigned a probability distribution. These ensembles of Dirac operators are constructed as toy models of Euclidean quantum gravity on finite noncommutative spaces and display many interesting properties. The ensembles exhibit spectral phase transitions, and near these phase transitions they show manifold-like behavior. In certain cases one can recover Liouville quantum gravity in the double scaling limi…
