First we consider the deformations of superspaces with N=(1,1) and N=(2,2) supersymmetries in two dimensions. Among these the construction of noncommutative supertorus with odd spin structure is possible only in the case of N=(2,2) supersymmetry broken down to N=(1,1). However, for the even spin structures the construction of noncommutative supertorus is possible for both N=(1,1) and N=(2,2) cases. The spin structures are realized by implementing the translational properties along the cycles of commutative supertorus in the operator version: Odd spin structure is realized by the translation in the fermionic direction in the same manner as in the construction of noncommutative torus, and even spin structures are realized with appropriate versions of the spin angular momentum operator.
In this note, we initiate a study of the finite-dimensional representation theory of a class of algebras that correspond to noncommutative deformations of compact surfaces of arbitrary genus. Low dimensional representations are investigated in detail and graph representations are used in order to understand the structure of non-zero matrix elements. In particular, for arbitrary genus greater than one, we explicitly construct classes of irreducible two and three dimensional representations. The existence of representations crucially depends on the analytic structure of the polynomial defining t…
We study two-dimensional Hamiltonians in phase space with noncommutativity both in coordinates and momenta. We consider the generator of rotations on the noncommutative plane and the Lie algebra generated by Hermitian rotationally invariant quadratic forms of noncommutative dynamical variables. We show that two quantum phases are possible, characterized by the Lie algebras $sl(2,\mathbb{R})$ or $su(2)$ according to the relation between the noncommutativity parameters, with the rotation generator related with the Casimir operator. From this algebraic perspective, we analyze the spectrum of some…
In this paper, we investigated the Pauli equation in a two-dimensional noncommutative phase-space by considering a constant magnetic field perpendicular to the plane. We mapped the noncommutative problem to the equivalent commutative one through a set of two-dimensional Bopp-shift transformation. The energy spectrum and the wave function of the two-dimensional noncommutative Pauli equation are found, where the problem in question has been mapped to the Landau problem. Further, within the classical limit, we have derived the noncommutative semi-classical partition function of the two-dimensiona…
The Einstein-Hilbert action in three dimensions and the transformation rules for the dreibein and spin connection can be naturally described in terms of gauge theory. In this spirit, we use covariant coordinates in noncommutative gauge theory in order to describe 3D gravity in the framework of noncommutative geometry. We consider 3D noncommutative spaces based on SU(2) and SU(1,1), as foliations of fuzzy 2-spheres and fuzzy 2-hyperboloids respectively. Then we construct a U(2)$\times$ U(2) and a GL(2,$\mathbb{C}$) gauge theory on them, identifying the corresponding noncommutative vielbein and …
We consider a U(2) Yang-Mills theory on M x S_F^2 where M is an arbitrary noncommutative manifold and S_F^2 is a fuzzy sphere spontaneously generated from a noncommutative U(N) Yang-Mills theory on M, coupled to a triplet of scalars in the adjoint of U(N). Employing the SU(2)-equivariant gauge field constructed in arXiv:0905.2338, we perform the dimensional reduction of the theory over the fuzzy sphere. The emergent model is a noncommutative U(1) gauge theory coupled adjointly to a set of scalar fields. We study this model on the Groenewald-Moyal plane and find that, in certain limits, it admi…
