In this paper, we study Rota-Baxter operators and super $\mathcal{O}$-operator of associative superalgebras, Lie superalgebras, pre-Lie superalgebras and $L$-dendriform superalgebras. Then we give some properties of pre-Lie superalgebras constructed from associative superalgebras, Lie superalgebras and $L$-dendriform superalgebras. Moreover, we provide all Rota-Baxter operators of weight zero on complex pre-Lie superalgebras of dimensions $2$ and $3$.
The aim of this paper is to generalise the construction of $n$-ary Hom-Lie bracket by means of an $(n-2)$-cochain of given Hom-Lie algebra to super case inducing a $n$-Hom-Lie superalgebras. We study the notion of generalized derivation and Rota-Baxter operators of $n$-ary Hom-Nambu and $n$-Hom-Lie superalgebras and their relation with generalized derivation and Rota-Baxter operators of Hom-Lie superalgebras. We also introduce the notion of $3$-Hom-pre-Lie superalgebras which is the generalization of $3$-Hom-pre-Lie algebras.
In this paper, we construct free Lie Rota-Baxter superalgebra by using Gröbner-Shirshov bases theory. We firstly construct free operated Lie superalgebras by the operated super-Lyndon-Shirshov monomials. Secondly, we establish Gröbner-Shirshov bases theory for operated Lie superalgebras. Thirdly, we find a Gröbner-Shirshov basis of a free Lie Rota-Baxter superalgebra on a $\mathbb{Z}_2$-graded set. Consequently, we can obtain a linear basis of a free Lie Rota-Baxter superalgebra by the composition-diamond lemma for operated Lie superalgebras.
The purpose of this paper is to study the relationships between a BiHom-Lie superalgebras and its induced 3-BiHom-Lie superalgebras. We introduce the notion of $(α^s,β^r)$-derivation, $(α^s,β^r)$-quasiderivation and generalized $(α^s,β^r)$-derivation of 3-BiHom-Lie superalgebras, and their relation with derivation of BiHom-Lie superalgebras. We introduce also the concepts of Rota-Baxter operators and Nijenhuis Operators of BiHom $3$-Lie superalgebras. We also explore the construction of $3$-BiHom-Lie superalgebras by using Rota-Baxter of BiHom-Lie superalgebras.
We introduce the notion of Poisson superbialgebra as an analogue of Drinfeld's Lie superbialgebras. We extend various known constructions dealing with representations on Lie superbialgebras to Poisson superbialgebras. We introduce the notions of Manin triple of Poisson superalgebras and Poisson superbialgebras and show the equivalence between them in terms of matched pairs of Poisson superalgebras. A combination of the classical Yang-Baxter equation and the associative Yang-Baxter equation is discussed in this framework. Moreover, we introduce notions of $\mathcal{O}$-operator of weight $λ\in\…
Based on the differential graded Lie algebra controlling deformations of an $n$-Lie algebra with a representation (called an n-LieRep pair), we construct a Lie n-algebra, whose Maurer-Cartan elements characterize relative Rota-Baxter operators on n-LieRep pairs. The notion of an n-pre-Lie algebra is introduced, which is the underlying algebraic structure of the relative Rota-Baxter operator. We give the cohomology of relative Rota-Baxter operators and study infinitesimal deformations and extensions of order m deformations to order m+1 deformations of relative Rota-Baxter operators through the …
The aim of this paper is to introduce and study Rota-Baxter Hom-algebras. Moreover we introduce a generalization of the dendriform algebras and tridendriform algebras by twisting the identities by mean of a linear map. Then we explore the connections between these categories of Hom-algebras.
Throughout this paper, we will study Rota-Baxter operators and super O-operator of associative BiHom superalgebras, BiHom Lie superalgebras, BiHom pre-Lie superalgebras and BiHom-L-dendriform superalgebras. Then we give some properties of BiHom pre-Lie superalgebras constructed from associative BiHom superalgebras, BiHom Lie superalgebras and BiHom-L-dendriform superalgebras. As applications, we study the theory of cohomology groups of BiHom-pre-Lie superalgebras.
In this paper, we introduce the notion of n-Hom-pre-Lie superalgebras. We investigate the representation theory of n-Hom-pre-Lie superalgebras and we give some related results and structures based on Rota-Baxter operators, O-operators and Nijenhuis operators. Moreover, we study relationships between n-Hom-pre-Lie superalgebras and its induced Hom-pre-Lie superalgebras. The same procedure is applied for the representations of n- Hom-pre-Lie superalgebras.
In this paper, first we give the notion of a representation of a relative Rota-Baxter Lie algebra and introduce the cohomologies of a relative Rota-Baxter Lie algebra with coefficients in a representation. Then we classify abelian extensions of relative Rota-Baxter Lie algebras using the second cohomology group, and classify skeletal relative Rota-Baxter Lie 2-algebras using the third cohomology group as applications. At last, using the established general framework of representations and cohomologies of relative Rota-Baxter Lie algebras, we give the notion of representations of Rota-Baxter Li…
In this paper, first we introduce the notion of a Leibniz bialgebra and show that matched pairs of Leibniz algebras, Manin triples of Leibniz algebras and Leibniz bialgebras are equivalent. Then we introduce the notion of a (relative) Rota-Baxter operator on a Leibniz algebra and construct the graded Lie algebra that characterizes relative Rota-Baxter operators as Maurer-Cartan elements. By these structures and the twisting theory of twilled Leibniz algebras, we further define the classical Leibniz Yang-Baxter equation, classical Leibniz r-matrices and triangular Leibniz bialgebras. Finally, w…
In this paper, first we introduce the notion of quadratic Rota-Baxter Lie algebras of arbitrary weight, and show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between factorizable Lie bialgebras and quadratic Rota-Baxter Lie algebras of nonzero weight. Then we introduce the notions of matched pairs, bialgebras and Manin triples of Rota-Baxter Lie algebras of arbitrary weight, and show that Rota-Baxter Lie bialgebras, Manin triples of Rota-Baxter Lie algebras and certain matched pairs of Rota-Baxter Lie algebras are equivalent. The coadjoint representations and quadratic Rota-Baxter Lie algebras pl…
From relative Rota-Baxter operators and relative averaging operators on Lie algebras to relative Rota-Baxter operators on Leibniz algebras: a uniform approach
We explicitly determine all Rota-Baxter operators (of weight zero) on $sl(2,C)$ under the Cartan-Weyl basis. For the skew-symmetric operators, we give the corresponding skew-symmetric solutions of the classical Yang-Baxter equation in $sl(2,C)$, confirming the related study by Semenov-Tian-Shansky. In general, these Rota-Baxter operators give a family of solutions of the classical Yang-Baxter equation in the 6-dimensional Lie algebra $sl(2,C) \ltimes_{{\rm ad}^{\ast}} sl(2,C)^{\ast}$. They also give rise to 3-dimensional pre-Lie algebras which in turn yield solutions of the classical Yang-Baxt…
We determine the \emph{$L_\infty$-algebra} that controls deformations of a relative Rota-Baxter Lie algebra and show that it is an extension of the dg Lie algebra controlling deformations of the underlying LieRep pair by the dg Lie algebra controlling deformations of the relative Rota-Baxter operator. Consequently, we define the {\em cohomology} of relative Rota-Baxter Lie algebras and relate it to their infinitesimal deformations. A large class of relative Rota-Baxter Lie algebras is obtained from triangular Lie bialgebras and we construct a map between the corresponding deformation complexes…
The homogeneous Rota-Baxter operators on the Witt and Virasoro algebras are classified. As applications, the induced solutions of the classical Yang-Baxter equation and the induced pre-Lie and PostLie algebra structures are obtained.
We prove that all Rota-Baxter operators on a quadratic division algebra are trivial. For nonzero weight, we state that all Rota-Baxter operators on the simple odd-dimensional Jordan algebra of bilinear form are projections on a subalgebra along another one. For weight zero, we find a connection between the Rota-Baxter operators and the solutions to the alternative Yang-Baxter equation on the Cayley-Dickson algebra. We also investigate the Rota-Baxter operators on the matrix algebras of order two, the Grassmann algebra of plane, and the Kaplansky superalgebra.
In this paper, we review deformation, cohomology and homotopy theories of relative Rota-Baxter Lie algebras, which have attracted quite much interest recently. Using Voronov's higher derived brackets, one can obtain an $L_\infty$-algebra whose Maurer-Cartan elements are relative Rota-Baxter Lie algebras. Then using the twisting method, one can obtain the $L_\infty$-algebra that controls deformations of a relative \RB Lie algebra. Meanwhile, the cohomologies of relative Rota-Baxter Lie algebras can also be defined with the help of the twisted $L_\infty$-algebra. Using the controlling algebra ap…
Rota-Baxter algebras and the closely related dendriform algebras have important physics applications, especially to renormalization of quantum field theory. Braided structures provide effective ways of quantization such as for quantum groups. Continuing recent study relating the two structures, this paper considers Rota-Baxter algebras and dendriform algebras in the braided contexts. Applying the quantum shuffle and quantum quasi-shuffle products, we construct free objects in the categories of braided Rota-Baxter algebras and braided dendriform algebras, under the commutativity condition. We f…
We give a construction of Rota-Baxter coalgebras from Hopf module coalgebras and also derive the structures of the pre-Lie coalgebras via Rota-Baxter coalgebras of different weight. Finally, the notion of Rota-Baxter bialgebra is introduced and some examples are provided.
In this paper, we propose the concept of an $Ω$-Rota-Baxter system, which is a generalization of a Rota-Baxter system and an $Ω$-Rota-Baxter algebra of weight zero. In the framework of operated algebras, we obtain a linear basis of a free $Ω$-Rota-Baxter system for an extended diassociative semigroup $Ω$, in terms of bracketed words and the method of Gröbner-Shirshov bases. As applications, we introduce the concepts of Rota-Baxter system family algebras and matching Rota-Baxter systems as special cases of $Ω$-Rota-Baxter systems, and construct their free objects. Meanwhile, free $Ω$-Rota-Baxte…
Rota-Baxter systems of T. Brzeziński are a generalization of Rota-Baxter operators that are related to dendriform structures, associative Yang-Baxter pairs and covariant bialgebras. In this paper, we consider Rota-Baxter systems in the presence of bimodule, which we call generalized Rota-Baxter systems. We define a graded Lie algebra whose Maurer-Cartan elements are generalized Rota-Baxter systems. This allows us to define a cohomology theory for a generalized Rota-Baxter system. Formal one-parameter deformations of generalized Rota-Baxter systems are discussed from cohomological points of vie…
In this paper, we define representations and cohomology of weighted Rota-Baxter Lie algebras. As applications of cohomology, we study abelian extensions and formal $1$-parameter deformations weighted Rota-Baxter Lie algebras. Finally, we consider weighted Rota-Baxter paired operators that induces a weighted Rota-Baxter Lie algebra and a representation of it. We define suitable cohomology for such paired operators that govern deformation.
This paper introduces the notion of Rota-Baxter $C^{\ast}$-algebras. Here a Rota-Baxter $C^{\ast}$-algebra is a $C^{\ast}$-algebra with a Rota-Baxter operator. Symmetric Rota-Baxter operators, as special cases of Rota-Baxter operators on $C^{\ast}$-algebra, are defined and studied. A theorem of Rota-Baxter operators on concrete $C^{\ast}$-algebras is given, deriving the relationship between two kinds of Rota-Baxter algebras. As a corollary, some connection between $\ast$-representations and Rota-Baxter operators is given. The notion of representations of Rota-Baxter $C^{\ast}$-algebras are con…
The concept of Rota-Baxter family algebra is a generalization of Rota-Baxter algebra. It appears naturally in the algebraic aspects of renormalizations in quantum field theory. Rota-Baxter family algebras are closely related to dendriform family algebras. In this paper, we first construct an $L_\infty$-algebra whose Maurer-Cartan elements correspond to Rota-Baxter family algebra structures. Using this characterization, we define the cohomology of a given Rota-Baxter family algebra. As an application of our cohomology, we study formal and infinitesimal deformations of a given Rota-Baxter family…
We introduce a generalization of parametrized Rota-Baxter algebras, which includes family and matching Rota-Baxter algebras. We study the structure needed on the set $Ω$ of parameters in order to obtain that free Rota-Baxter algebras are described in terms of typed and angularly decorated planar rooted trees: we obtain the notion of $λ$-extended diassociative semigroup, which includes sets (for matching Rota-Baxter algebras) and semigroups (for family Rota-Baxter algebras), and many other examples. We also describe free commutative $Ω$-Rota-Baxter algebras generated by a commutative algebra A …
Let $L$ be a simple anti-commutative algebra. In this paper we prove that a non skew-symmetric solution of the classical Yang-Baxter equation on $L$ with $L$-invariant symmetric part induces on $L$ a Rota-Baxter operator of a non-zero weight.
We study possible connections between Rota-Baxter operators of non-zero weight and non-skew-symmetric solutions of the classical Yang-Baxter equation on finite-dimensional quadratic Lie algebras. The particular attention is made to the case when for a solution $r$ the element $r+τ(r)$ is $L$-invariant.
Universal enveloping Lie Rota-Baxter algebras of pre-Lie and post-Lie algebras are constructed. It is proved that the pairs of varieties (Lie Rota-Baxter algebras of zero weight, preLie algebras) and (Lie Rota-Baxter algebras of nonzero weight,post-Lie algebras) are PBW-pairs and the variety of Lie Rota-Baxter algebras is not Schreier.
In this paper, we establish the Composition-Diamond lemma for associative nonunitary Rota-Baxter algebras with weight $λ$. As applications, we obtain a linear basis of a free commutative Rota-Baxter algebra without unity and show that every countably generated Rota-Baxter algebra with weight 0 can be embedded into a two-generated Rota-Baxter algebra.
Rota-Baxter systems were introduced by Brzeziński as a generalization of Rota-Baxter operators that are related to dendriform structures, associative Yang-Baxter pairs and covariant bialgebras. In this paper, we define Rota-Baxter systems on Hom-associative algebras and show how they induce Hom-dendriform structures and weak pseudotwistors on the underlying Hom-associative algebra. We introduce Hom-Yang-Baxter pairs and a notion of covariant Hom-bialgebra. Given a Hom-Yang-Baxter pair, we construct a twisted Rota-Baxter system and a (quasitriangular) covariant Hom-bialgebra. Finally, we consid…
In this paper, we introduce relative Rota-Baxter systems on Leibniz algebras and give some characterizations and new constructions. Then we construct a graded Lie algebra whose Maurer-Cartan elements are relative Rota-Baxter systems. This allows us to define a cohomology theory associated with a relative Rota-Baxter system. Finally, we study formal deformations and extendibility of finite order deformations of a relative Rota-Baxter system in terms of the cohomology theory.
A relative Rota-Baxter algebra is a generalization of a Rota-Baxter algebra. Relative Rota-Baxter algebras are closely related to dendriform algebras. In this paper, we introduce bimodules over a relative Rota-Baxter algebra that fits with the representations of dendriform algebras. We define the cohomology of a relative Rota-Baxter algebra with coefficients in a bimodule and then study abelian extensions of relative Rota-Baxter algebras in terms of the second cohomology group. Finally, we consider homotopy relative Rota-Baxter algebras and classify skeletal homotopy relative Rota-Baxter algeb…
The characteristic is a simple yet important invariant of an algebra. In this paper, we study the characteristic of a Rota-Baxter algebra, called the Rota-Baxter characteristic. We introduce an invariant, called the ascent set, of a Rota-Baxter characteristic. By studying its properties, we classify Rota-Baxter characteristics in the homogenous case and relate Rota-Baxter characteristics in general to the homogeneous case through initial ideals. We show that the Rota-Baxter quotients of Rota-Baxter characteristics have the same underlying sets as those in the homogeneous case. We also give a m…
We introduce the notion of Rota-Baxter coalgebra which can be viewed as the dual notion of Rota-Baxter algebra. We provide some concrete examples and establish various properties of this new object. We also consider comodules over Rota-Baxter coalgebras.
Universal enveloping Rota-Baxter algebras of preassociative and postassociative algebras are constructed. The question of Li Guo is answered: the pair of varieties (Rota-Baxter algebras of nonzero weight, postassociative algebras) is a PBW-pair and the pair (Rota-Baxter algebras of zero weight, preassociative algebras) is not.
The aim of this paper is first to introduce and study Rota-Baxter cosystems and bisystems as generalization of Rota-Baxter coalgebras and bialgebras, respectively, with various examples. The second purpose is to provide an alternative definition of covariant bialgebras via coderivations. Furthermore, we consider coquasitriangular covariant bialgebras which are generalization of coquasitriangular infinitesimal bialgebras, coassociative Yang-Baxter pairs, coassociative Yang-Baxter equation, double coalgebras and dendriform coalgebras. We study some of their properties and relationships with Rota…
We generalize the notion of a Rota-Baxter operator on groups and the notion of a Rota-Baxter operator of weight 1 on Lie algebras and define and study the notion of a Rota-Baxter operator on a cocommutative Hopf algebra $H$. If $H=F[G]$ is the group algebra of a group $G$ or $H=U(\mathfrak{g})$ the universal enveloping algebra of a Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, then we prove that Rota-Baxter operators on $H$ are in one to one correspondence with corresponding Rota-Baxter operators on groups or Lie algebras.
A modified Rota-Baxter algebra is an algebra equipped with an operator that satisfies the modified Yang-Baxter equation. In this paper, we define the cohomology of a modified Rota-Baxter algebra with coefficients in a suitable bimodule. We relate our cohomology of a modified Rota-Baxter algebra with the known cohomology theory of a Rota-Baxter algebra. As applications of our cohomology, we study formal one-parameter deformations and abelian extensions of modified Rota-Baxter algebras.
Rota-Baxter operators and bialgebras go hand in hand in their applications, such as in the Connes-Kreimer approach to renormalization and the operator approach to the classical Yang-Baxter equation. We establish a bialgebra structure that is compatible with the Rota-Baxter operator, called the Rota-Baxter antisymmetric infinitesimal (ASI) bialgebra. This bialgebra is characterized by generalizations of matched pairs of algebras and double constructions of Frobenius algebras to the context of Rota-Baxter algebras. The study of the coboundary case leads to an enrichment of the associative Yang-B…
We consider a complete filtered Rota-Baxter algebra of weight $λ$ over a commutative ring. Finding the unique solution of a non-homogeneous linear algebraic equation in this algebra, we generalize Spitzer's identity in both commutative and non-commutative cases. As an application, considering the Rota-Baxter algebra of power series in one variable with q-integral as the Rota-Baxter operator, we show certain Eulerian identities.
In this paper, by using Gröbner-Shirshov bases for Rota-Baxter algebras, we prove that every dendriform dialgebra over a field of characteristic 0 can be embedded into its universal enveloping Rota-Baxter algebra of weight 0.
In this paper, we first construct a graded Lie algebra which characterizes Rota-Baxter operators on an anti-flexible algebra as Maurer-Cartan elements. Next, we study infinitesimal deformations of bimodules over anti-flexible algebras. We also consider compatible Rota-Baxter operators on bimodules over anti-flexible algebras. Finally, We define $\mathcal{ON}$-structures which give rise to compatible Rota-Baxter operators and vice-versa.
In this paper, we introduce twisted relative Rota-Baxter operators on a Leibniz algebra as a generalization of twisted Poisson structures. We define the cohomology of a twisted relative Rota-Baxter operator $K$ as the Loday-Pirashvili cohomology of a certain Leibniz algebra induced by $K$ with coefficients in a suitable representation. Then we consider formal deformations of twisted relative Rota-Baxter operators from cohomological points of view. Finally, we introduce and study NS-Leibniz algebras as the underlying structure of twisted relative Rota-Baxter operators.
The goal of the present paper is to investigate representations and cohomologies of Rota-Baxter 3-Lie algebras with any weight. We introduce representations, matched pairs and Manin triples of Rota-Baxter 3-Lie algebras. Furthermore, we discuss cohomology theory of Rota-Baxter 3-Lie algebras. The deformations and central extensions of Rota-Baxter 3-Lie algebras are also studied.
This paper studies formal deformations and homotopy theory of Rota-Baxter algebras of any weight. We define an $L_\infty$-algebra, which controls simultaneous deformations of associative products and Rota-Baxter operators. As a consequence, we develop a cohomology theory of Rota-Baxter algebras of any weight and justify it by interpreting lower degree cohomology groups as formal deformations and abelian extensions. The notion of homotopy Rota-Baxter algebras is introduced and it is shown that the operad governing homotopy Rota-Baxter algebras is a minimal model of the operad of Rota-Baxter alg…
The notion of a modified Rota-Baxter algebra comes from the combination of those of a Rota-Baxter algebra and a modified Yang-Baxter equation. In this paper, we first construct free modified Rota-Baxter algebras. We then equip a free modified Rota-Baxter algebra with a bialgebra structure by a cocycle construction. Under the assumption that the generating algebra is a connected bialgebra, we further equip the free modified Rota-Baxter algebra with a Hopf algebra structure.
