The physical-layer security issue in the multiple non-regenerative wireless-powered relay (WPR) networks is investigated in this letter, where the idle relay is treated as a potential eavesdropper. To guarantee secure communication, the destination-based artificial noise is sent to degrade the receptions of eavesdroppers, and it also becomes a new source of energy powering relays to forward the information with power splitting (PS) technique. We propose an efficient algorithm ground on block-wise penalty function method to jointly optimize PS ratio and beamforming to maximize the secrecy rate. Despite the nonconvexity of the considered problem, the proposed algorithm is numerically efficient and is proved to converge to the local optimal solution. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms the benchmark method.
We investigate a relay network where the source can potentially utilize an untrusted non-regenerative relay to augment its direct transmission of a confidential message to the destination. Since the relay is untrusted, it is desirable to protect the confidential data from it while simultaneously making use of it to increase the reliability of the transmission. We first examine the secrecy outage probability (SOP) of the network assuming a single antenna relay, and calculate the exact SOP for three different schemes: direct transmission without using the relay, conventional non-regenerative rel…
Relay selection enhances the performance of the cooperative networks by selecting the links with higher capacity. Meanwhile link adaptation improves the spectral efficiency of wireless data-centric networks through adapting the modulation and coding schemes (MCS) to the current link condition. In this paper, relay selection is combined with link adaptation for distributed beamforming in a two-hop regenerative cooperative system. A novel signaling mechanism and related optimal algorithms are proposed for joint relay selection and link adaptation. In the proposed scheme, there is no need to feed…
Recent technological advances in wireless communications offer new opportunities and challenges for relay network. To enhance system performance, Demodulate-Network Coding (Dm-NC) scheme has been examined at relay node; it works directly to De-map the received signals and after that forward the mixture to the destination. Simulation analysis has been proven that the performance of Dm-NC has superiority over analog-NC. In addition, the Quantize-Decode-NC scheme (QDF-NC) has been introduced. The presented simulation results clearly provide that the QDF-NC perform better than analog-NC. The toggle…
Two-way relaying is one of the major applications of broadband communication satellites, for which an efficient technique is Physical Layer Network Coding (PLNC). Earlier studies have considered satellites employing PLNC with onboard processing. This paper investigates the performance of PLNC over non-regenerative satellites, as a majority of the operational and planned satellites have no onboard processing. Assuming that the channel magnitudes of the two users are equal, two operating conditions are considered with uncoded-QPSK relaying. In the first condition, both users are completely synch…
In this paper, optimal linear transceiver designs for multi-hop amplify-and-forward (AF) Multiple-input Multiple-out (MIMO) relaying systems with Gaussian distributed channel estimation errors are investigated. Some commonly used transceiver design criteria are unified into a single matrix-variate optimization problem. With novel applications of majorization theory and properties of matrix-variate function, the optimal structure of robust transceiver is first derived. Based on the optimal structure, the original transceiver design problems are reduced to much simpler problems with only scalar …
This paper investigates the simultaneous wireless information and energy transfer for the non-regenerative multipleinput multiple-output orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) relaying system. By considering two practical receiver architectures, we present two protocols, time switchingbased relaying (TSR) and power splitting-based relaying (PSR). To explore the system performance limit, we formulate two optimization problems to maximize the end-to-end achievable information rate with the full channel state information (CSI) assumption. Since both problems are non-convex and hav…
In this paper, we investigate joint source precoding matrices and relay processing matrix design for multi-user multiple-input multiple-output~(MU-MIMO) non-regenerative relay networks in the presence of the direct source-destination~(S-D) links. We consider both capacity and mean-squared error~(MSE) criterions subject to the distributed power constraints, which are nonconvex and apparently have no simple solutions. Therefore, we propose an optimal source precoding matrix structure based on the point-to-point MIMO channel technique, and a new relay processing matrix structure under the modifie…
In this paper, linear transceiver design for dual-hop non-regenerative (amplify-and-forward (AF)) MIMO-OFDM systems under channel estimation errors is investigated. Second order moments of channel estimation errors in the two hops are first deduced. Then based on the Bayesian framework, joint design of linear forwarding matrix at the relay and equalizer at the destination under channel estimation errors is proposed to minimize the total mean-square-error (MSE) of the output signal at the destination. The optimal designs for both correlated and uncorrelated channel estimation errors are conside…
We consider the optimization of a two-hop relay network based on an amplify-and-forward Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) relay. The relay is assumed to derive the output signal by a Relay Transform Matrix (RTM) applied to the input signal. Assuming perfect channel state information about the network at the relay, the RTM is optimized according to two different criteria: {\bf\em i)} network capacity; {\bf\em ii)} network capacity based on Orthogonal Space--Time Block Codes. The two assumptions have been addressed in part in the literature. The optimization problem is reduced to a manageabl…
In this work, we provide a global framework analysis of a multi-hop relaying systems wherein the transmitter (TX) communicates with the receiver (RX) through a set of intermediary relays deployed either in series or in parallel. Regenerative based relaying scheme is assumed such as the repetition-coded decoded-and-forward (DF) wherein the decoding is threshold-based. To reflect a wide range of fading, we introduce the generalized $H$-function (also termed as Fox-$H$ function) distribution model which enables the modeling of radio-frequency (RF) fading like Weibull and Gamma, as well as the fre…
Two-way relaying (TWR) reduces the spectral-efficiency loss caused in conventional half-duplex relaying. TWR is possible when two nodes exchange data simultaneously through a relay. In cellular systems, data exchange between base station (BS) and users is usually not simultaneous e.g., a user (TUE) has uplink data to transmit during multiple access (MAC) phase, but does not have downlink data to receive during broadcast (BC) phase. This non-simultaneous data exchange will reduce TWR to spectrally-inefficient conventional half-duplex relaying. With infrastructure relays, where multiple users co…
Energy efficiency and its optimization constitute critical tasks in the design of low-power wireless networks. The present work is devoted to the error rate analysis and energy-efficiency optimization of regenerative cooperative networks in the presence of multipath fading under spatial correlation. To this end, exact and asymptotic analytic expressions are firstly derived for the symbol-error-rate of $M{-}$ary quadrature amplitude and $M{-}$ary phase shift keying modulations assuming a dual-hop decode-and-forward relay system, spatially correlated Nakagami${-}m$ multipath fading and maximum r…
In relay assisted wireless communications, the multi-source, single relay and single destination system (an $M$-1-1 system) is of growing importance, due to the increased demand for higher network throughput and connectivity. Previously, power allocation in $M$-1-1 systems have assumed availability of instantaneous channel state information (CSI), which is rather idealistic. In this paper we consider an $M$-1-1 Decode-and-Forward (DF), Full-Duplex, orthogonal frequencey division multiple access (OFDMA) based relay system with statistical-CSI and analyze the achievable rate $R$ of such a system…
In heterogeneous dense networks where spectrum is shared, users privacy remains one of the major challenges. On a multi-antenna relay-assisted multi-carrier interference channel, each user shares the frequency and spatial resources with all other users. When the receivers are not only interested in their own signals but also in eavesdropping other users' signals, the cross talk on the frequency and spatial channels becomes information leakage. In this paper, we propose a novel secrecy rate enhancing relay strategy that utilizes both frequency and spatial resources, termed as information leakag…
Cooperative communication has been shown to provide significant increase of transmission reliability and network capacity while expanding coverage in cellular networks. The present work is devoted to the investigation of the end-to-end performance and power allocation of a maximum-ratio-combining based regenerative multi-relay cooperative network over non-homogeneous scattering environment, which is the case in realistic wireless communication scenarios. Novel analytic expressions are derived for the end-to-end symbol-error-rate of both $M-$ary Phase-Shift Keying and $M-$ary Quadrature Amplitu…
In this paper, collaborative use of relays to form a beamforming system and provide physical-layer security is investigated. In particular, amplify-and-forward (AF) relay beamforming designs under total and individual relay power constraints are studied with the goal of maximizing the secrecy rates when perfect channel state information (CSI) is available. In the AF scheme, not having analytical solutions for the optimal beamforming design under both total and individual power constraints, an iterative algorithm is proposed to numerically obtain the optimal beamforming structure and maximize t…
In this paper, we propose a full-duplex relay (FDR) based on a zero-forcing beamforming (ZFBF) for a multiuser MIMO relay system. The ZFBF is employed at the base station to suppress both the self-interference of the relay and the multiuser interference at the same time. Numerical results show that the proposed FDR can enhance the sum rate performance as compared to the half-duplex relay (HDR), if sufficient isolation between the transmit and receive antennas is ensured at the relay.
This paper deals with distributed beamforming techniques for wireless networks with half-duplex amplify-and-forward relays. Existing schemes optimize the beamforming weights based on the assumption that channel state information (CSI) is available at the relays. We propose to use adaptive beamforming based on deterministic perturbations and limited feedback (1-bit) from the destination to the relays in order to avoid CSI at the relays. Two scalable perturbation schemes are considered and practical implementation aspects are addressed. Simulation results confirm that the proposed techniques clo…
In this paper, a cognitive relay channel is considered, and amplify-and-forward (AF) relay beamforming designs in the presence of an eavesdropper and a primary user are studied. Our objective is to optimize the performance of the cognitive relay beamforming system while limiting the interference in the direction of the primary receiver and keeping the transmitted signal secret from the eavesdropper. We show that under both total and individual power constraints, the problem becomes a quasiconvex optimization problem which can be solved by interior point methods. We also propose two sub-optimal…
This paper presents joint maximum signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (MSINR) and relay selection algorithms for distributed beamforming. We propose a joint MSINR and restricted greedy search relay selection (RGSRS) algorithm with a total relay transmit power constraint that iteratively optimizes both the beamforming weights at the relays nodes, maximizing the SINR at the destination. Specifically, we devise a relay selection scheme that based on greedy search and compare it to other schemes like restricted random relay selection (RRRS) and restricted exhaustive search relay selection (RES…
A full-duplex two-way relay channel with multiple antennas is considered. For this three-node network, the beamforming design needs to suppress self-interference. While a traditional way is to apply zero-forcing for self-interference mitigation, it may harm the desired signals. In this paper, a design which reserves a fraction of self-interference is proposed by solving a quality-of-service constrained beamforming design problem. Since the problem is challenging due to the loop self-interference, a convergence-guaranteed alternating optimization algorithm is proposed to jointly design the rela…
In this paper, collaborative use of relays to form a beamforming system and provide physical-layer security is investigated. In particular, decode-and-forward (DF) and amplify-and-forward (AF) relay beamforming designs under total and individual relay power constraints are studied with the goal of maximizing the secrecy rates when perfect channel state information (CSI) is available. In the DF scheme, the total power constraint leads to a closed-form solution, and in this case, the optimal beamforming structure is identified in the low and high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regimes. The beamform…
We reduce the problem of optimal beamforming for two-way relay (TWR) systems with perfect channel state infomation (CSI) that use analog network coding (ANC) to a pair of algebraic equations in two variables that can be solved inexpensively using numerical methods. The solution has greatly reduced complexity compared to previous exact solutions via semidefinite programming (SDP). Together with the linearized robust solution described in (Aziz and Thron, 2014), it provides a high-performance, low-complexity robust beamforming solution for 2-way relays.
In this paper, collaborative use of relays to form a beamforming system with the aid of perfect channel state information (CSI) and to provide physical-layer security is investigated. In particular, a decode-and-forward-based relay beamforming design subject to total and individual relay power constraints is studied with the goal of maximizing the secrecy rate. It is shown that the total power constraint leads to a closed-form solution. The design under individual relay power constraints is formulated as an optimization problem which is shown to be easily solved using two different approaches,…
In this paper, collaborative use of relays to form a beamforming system with the aid of perfect channel state information (CSI) and to provide communication in physicallayer security between a transmitter and two receivers is investigated. In particular, we describe decode-and-forward based null space beamforming schemes and optimize the relay weights jointly to obtain the largest secrecy rate region. Furthermore, the optimality of the proposed schemes is investigated by comparing them with the outer bound secrecy rate region
We consider the full-duplex (FD) two-way amplify-and-forward relay system with imperfect cancelation of loopback self-interference (SI) and investigate joint design of relay and receive beamforming for minimizing the mean square error under a relay transmit power constraint. Due to loopback channel estimation error and limitation of analog-to-digital converter, the loopback SI cannot be completely canceled. Multiple antennas at the relay can help loopback SI suppression but beamforming is required to balance between the residual SI suppression and the desired signal transmission. Moreover, the…
A two-phase beamforming solution for secure communication using untrusted relay nodes is presented. To thwart eavesdropping attempts of relay nodes, we deliberately introduce artificial noise in the source message. After pointing out the incongruity in evaluating secrecy rate in our model for certain scenarios, we provide an SNR based frame work for secure communication. We intend to bring down the SNR at each of the untrusted relay nodes below a certain predefined threshold, whereas, using beamforming we want to boost the SNR at the destination. With this motive optimal scaling vector is eval…
Consider a simple two-way relaying channel where two single-antenna sources exchange information via a multiple-antenna relay. To such a scenario, all the existing works which can achieve full diversity order are based on the antenna/relay selection, where the difficulty to design the beamforming lies in the fact that a single beamformer needs to serve two destinations. In this paper, we propose a new full-diversity beamforming scheme which ensures that the relay signals are coherently combined at both destinations. Both analytical and numerical results are provided to demonstrate that this pr…
We investigate a relay network where a multiantenna source can potentially utilize an unauthenticated (untrusted) relay to augment its direct transmission of a confidential message to the destination. Since the relay is untrusted, it is desirable to protect the confidential data from it while simultaneously making use of it to increase the reliability of the transmission. We present a low-complexity scheme denoted as imbalanced beamforming based on linear beamforming and constellation mapping that ensures perfect physical-layer security even while utilizing the untrusted relay. Furthermore, th…
We consider a two-way relay network, where two source nodes, S1 and S2, exchange information through a cluster of relay nodes. The relay nodes receive the sum signal from S1 and S2 in the first time slot. In the second time slot, each relay node multiplies its received signal by a complex coefficient and retransmits the signal to the two source nodes, which leads to a distributed two-way beamforming system. By applying the principle of analog network coding, each receiver at S1 and S2 cancels the ``self-interference'' in the received signal from the relay cluster and decodes the message. This …
This letter focuses on power allocation schemes for a basic multicast cell with wireless regenerative network coding (RNC). In RNC, mixed signals received from the two sources are jointly decoded by the relay where decoded symbols are superposed in either the complex field (RCNC) or Galois field (RGNC) before being retransmitted. We deduce the optimal statistical channels state information (CSI) based power allocation and give a comparison between the two RNCs. When instantaneous CSI is available at each transmitter, we propose a suboptimal power allocation for RCNC, which achieves better perf…
In this correspondence, we consider an amplify-and-forward relay network in which relayed information is overheard by an eavesdropper. In order to confound the eavesdropper, a wireless-powered jammer is also considered which harvests energy from a multiple-antenna source. We proposed a new secure beamforming scheme in which beamforming vector is a linear combination of the energy beamforming (EB) and information beamforming (IB) vectors. We also present a new closed-form solution for the proposed beamforming vector which is shown to achieve a higher secrecy rate as compared to the trivial EB a…

In this paper, we investigate the problem of two-way relay beamforming optimization to maximize the achievable sum-rate of a simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) system with a full-duplex (FD) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) amplify-and-forward (AF) relay. In particular, we address the optimal joint design of the receiver power splitting (PS) ratio and the beamforming matrix at the relay node given the channel state information (CSI). Our contribution is an iterative algorithm based on difference of convex (DC) programming and one-dimensional searching to achieve …
In this paper, link selection for half-duplex buffer-aided relay systems is revisited. A new fixed scheduling policy referred as alternate distributed beamforming (ADB) is proposed, in which the relays are divided into two groups, with one group receiving the same information broadcast from the source and the other group transmitting the common messages to the destination via distributed beamforming in each time slot. It is worth noting that the relays used for reception and transmission are determined without the need of instantaneous channel state information (CSI). Theoretical analysis of t…
This work is devoted to the analysis of a regenerative multi-node dual-hop cooperative system over enriched multipath fading channels. This is a companion technical report of the main manuscript "Semidefinite Relaxation and Approximation Analysis of a Beamformed Alamouti Scheme for Relay Beamforming Networks". The report serves to give detailed derivations of Lemma 1-2 in the main manuscript, which are too long to be included in the latter. In addition, more simulation results are presented to verify the viability of the BF Alamouti AF schemes developed in the main manuscript.
In this paper, linear beamforming design for amplify-and-forward relaying cellular networks is considered, in which base station, relay station and mobile terminals are all equipped with multiple antennas. The design is based on minimum mean-square-error criterion, and both uplink and downlink scenarios are considered. It is found that the downlink and uplink beamforming design problems are in the same form, and iterative algorithms with the same structure can be used to solve the design problems. For the specific cases of fully loaded or overloaded uplink systems, a novel algorithm is derived…
This paper studies simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) systems in two-way relaying (TWR) channels. Here, two source nodes receive information and energy simultaneously via power splitting (PS) from the signals sent by a multi-antenna relay node. Our objective is to maximize the weighted sum of the harvested energy at two source nodes subject to quality of service (QoS) constraints and the relay power constraints. Three well-known and practical two-way relay strategies are considered, i.e., amplify-and-forward (AF), bit level XOR based decode-and-forward (DF-XOR) and sy…
In this work, we maximize the secrecy rate of the wireless-powered untrusted relay network by jointly designing power splitting (PS) ratio and relay beamforming with the proposed global optimal algorithm (GOA) and local optimal algorithm (LOA). Different from the literature, artificial noise (AN) sent by the destination not only degrades the channel condition of the eavesdropper to improve the secrecy rate, but also becomes a new source of energy powering the untrusted relay based on PS. Hence, it is of high economic benefits and efficiency to take advantage of AN compared with the literature.…
This paper studies the wireless two-way relay channel (TWRC), where two source nodes, S1 and S2, exchange information through an assisting relay node, R. It is assumed that R receives the sum signal from S1 and S2 in one time-slot, and then amplifies and forwards the received signal to both S1 and S2 in the next time-slot. By applying the principle of analogue network (ANC), each of S1 and S2 cancels the so-called "self-interference" in the received signal from R and then decodes the desired message. Assuming that S1 and S2 are each equipped with a single antenna and R with multi-antennas, thi…
This paper proposed new hybrid, analog-digital, beamforming for a multiuser millimeter wave (mm-wave) relay system. For this system, we consider a sum rate maximization problem. The proposed hybrid beamforming is designed indirectly by considering a sum mean square error (MSE) minimization problem while utilizing the solution of digital beamforming. To this end, we assume that the digital beamforming utilizes the well known block diagonalization (BD) approach. Under this assumption, we solve our problem as follows: First, we formulate the sum rate maximization problem as the minimization of th…
In this paper, the robust distributed relay beamforming problem is solved using the worst case approach, where the problem solution has been involved because of the effect of uncertainty of channel knowledge on the quality of service (QoS) constraints. It is shown that the original robust design, which is a non-convex semi-infinite problem (SIP), can be relaxed and reformed to a semi-definite problem (SDP). Monte-Carlo simulations are presented to verify the performance improvement of our proposed robust problem over existing robust and non-robust problems in terms of transmit power and symbol…
In this paper, we study the performance of the downlink of a cellular network with automatic repeat-request (ARQ) and a half duplex decode-and-forward shared relay. In this system, two multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) base stations serve two single antenna users. A MIMO shared relay retransmits the lost packets to the target users. First, we study the system with direct retransmission from the base station and derive a closed form expression for the outage probability of the system. We show that the direct retransmission can overcome the fading, however, it cannot overcome the interference…
This paper studies the secure beamforming design in a multiple-antenna three-node system where two source nodes exchange messages with the help of an untrusted relay node. The relay acts as both an essential signal forwarder and a potential eavesdropper. Both two-phase and three-phase two-way relay strategies are considered. Our goal is to jointly optimize the source and relay beamformers for maximizing the secrecy sum rate of the two-way communications. We first derive the optimal relay beamformer structures. Then, iterative algorithms are proposed to find source and relay beamformers jointly…
In this paper, link selection is investigated in half-duplex (HD) dual-hop cooperative systems with multiple antennas at the relays. Unified performance analysis is carried out for amplify-and-forward (AF) multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) beamforming (BF) two-way relay networks in Rayleigh fading with five different relaying protocols including two novel protocols for better performance. As a result, a novel closed-form sum-bit error rate (BER) expression is presented in a unified expression for all protocols. A new closed-form high signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) performance is also obtained in a single expression, and an analytical high-SNR gap expression between the five protocols is provided. We compare the performance…
We address the problem of a multi-user relay network, where multiple single-antenna node pairs want to exchange information by using a multiple antenna relay node. Due to the half-duplex constraint of the relay, the exchange of information takes place in two steps. In the first step, the nodes transmit their data to the relay, while in the second step, the relay is broadcasting the data by using linear and non-linear precoding strategies. We focus on the second step in this paper. We first consider the problem of maximizing the overall rate achievable using linear and dirty-paper type precodin…
In this paper, we investigate the optimization problem of joint source and relay beamforming matrices for a twoway amplify-and-forward (AF) multi-input multi-output (MIMO) relay system. The system consisting of two source nodes and two relay nodes is considered and the linear minimum meansquare- error (MMSE) is employed at both receivers. We assume individual relay power constraints and study an important design problem, a so-called determinant maximization (DM) problem. Since this DM problem is nonconvex, we consider an efficient iterative algorithm by using an MSE balancing result to obtain …
In this work, we study the problem of relay beamforming for an underlay cognitive radio relay network using amplify-and-forward (AF) relaying technique. We consider a cognitive radio network consisting of single primary and multiple secondary transmitters/receivers. In addition, there are several relay nodes that help both primary and secondary networks. We propose a new beamforming method for relays' transmission, in which the beamforming weights at the relays are the solution of an optimization problem. Rigorous convergence analyses are provided for all our proposed algorithms and convergence to the global optimal solution is shown for all our proposed algorithms. Through extensive numerical simulations, we demonstrate that superior performance is achieved by our proposed DBSA and D-QES…
This paper studies a system where a set of $N$ relay nodes harvest energy from the signal received from a source to later utilize it when forwarding the source's data to a destination node via distributed beamforming. To this end, we derive (approximate) analytical expressions for the mean SNR at destination node when relays employ: i) time-switching based energy harvesting policy, ii) power-splitting based energy harvesting policy. The obtained results facilitate the study of the interplay between the energy harvesting parameters and the synchronization error, and their combined impact on mea…
In this paper, we study beamforming in decode-and-forward (DF) relaying using multiple relays, where the source node sends a secret message as well as a non-secret message to the destination node in the presence of multiple non-colluding eavesdroppers. The non-secret message is transmitted at a fixed rate $R_{0}$ and requires no protection from the eavesdroppers, whereas the secret message needs to be protected from the eavesdroppers. The source and relays operate under a total power constraint. We find the optimum source powers and weights of the relays for both secret and non-secret messages…
In this paper, we derive the optimal transmitter/ receiver beamforming vectors and relay weighting matrix for the multiple-input multiple-output amplify-and-forward relay channel. The analysis is accomplished in two steps. In the first step, the direct link between the transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) is ignored and we show that the transmitter and the relay should map their signals to the strongest right singular vectors of the Tx-relay and relay-Rx channels. Based on the distributions of these vectors for independent identically distributed (i.i.d.) Rayleigh channels, the Grassmannian code…
In this paper, robust transceiver design based on minimum-mean-square-error (MMSE) criterion for dual-hop amplify-and-forward MIMO relay systems is investigated. The channel estimation errors are modeled as Gaussian random variables, and then the effect are incorporated into the robust transceiver based on the Bayesian framework. An iterative algorithm is proposed to jointly design the precoder at the source, the forward matrix at the relay and the equalizer at the destination, and the joint design problem can be efficiently solved by quadratic matrix programming (QMP).

All users transmit their signals to the relays in the first time slot while the relays broadcast the beamformed signals to all users in the second time slot. The aim is to maximize the system's energy efficiency (EE) subject to quality-of-service (QoS) constraints in terms of exchange throughput requirements. The QoS constraints are nonconvex with many …
In this paper we explore the use of full-duplex radio to improve the spectrum efficiency in a two-way relay channel where two sources exchange information through an multi-antenna relay, and all nodes work in the full-duplex mode. The full-duplex operation can reduce the overall communication to only one phase but suffers from the self-interference. Instead of purely suppressing the self-interference, we aim to maximize the end-to-end performance by jointly optimizing the beamforming matrix at the relay which uses the amplify-and-forward protocol as well as the power control at the sources. To…
