We construct $2^n$-families of solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation from $n$-products of three-dimensional $R$ and $L$ operators satisfying the tetrahedron equation. They are identified with the quantum $R$ matrices for the Hopf algebras known as generalized quantum groups. Depending on the number of $R$'s and $L$'s involved in the product, the trace construction interpolates the symmetric tensor representations of $U_q(A^{(1)}_{n-1})$ and the anti-symmetric tensor representations of $U_{-q^{-1}}(A^{(1)}_{n-1})$, whereas a boundary vector construction interpolates the $q$-oscillator representation of $U_q(D^{(2)}_{n+1})$ and the spin representation of $U_{-q^{-1}}(D^{(2)}_{n+1})$. The intermediate cases are associated with an affinization of quantum super algebras.
We survey the matrix product solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation obtained recently from the tetrahedron equation. They form a family of quantum $R$ matrices of generalized quantum groups interpolating the symmetric tensor representations of $U_q(A^{(1)}_{n-1})$ and the anti-symmetric tensor representations of $U_{-q^{-1}}(A^{(1)}_{n-1})$. We show that at $q=0$ they all reduce to the Yang-Baxter maps called combinatorial $R$, and describe the latter by explicit algorithm.
We derive a family of solutions to the tetrahedron equation using the RTT presentation of a two parametric quantized algebra of regular functions on an upper triangular subgroup of GL(n). The key ingredients of the construction are the longest element of the Weyl group, the quantum dilogarithm function, and central elements of the quantized division algebra of rational functions on the subgroup in question.
We notice a remarkable connection between Bazhanov-Sergeev solution of Zamolodchikov tetrahedron equation and certain well-known cluster algebra expression. The tetrahedron transformation is then identified with a sequence of four mutations. As an application of the new formalism we show how to construct integrable system with spectral curve with arbitrary symmetric Newton polygon. Finally, we embed this integrable system into double Bruhat cell of a Poisson-Lie group, show how triangular decomposition can be used to extend our approach to general non-symmetric Newton polygons, and prove Lemma…
We study tetrahedron maps, which are set-theoretical solutions to the Zamolodchikov tetrahedron equation, and Yang-Baxter maps, which are set-theoretical solutions to the quantum Yang-Baxter equation. In particular, we clarify the structure of the nonlinear algebraic relations which define linear (parametric) tetrahedron maps (with nonlinear dependence on parameters), and we present several transformations which allow one to obtain new such maps from known ones. Furthermore, we prove that the differential of a (nonlinear) tetrahedron map on a manifold is a tetrahedron map as well. Similar resu…
We present several algebraic and differential-geometric constructions of tetrahedron maps, which are set-theoretical solutions to the Zamolodchikov tetrahedron equation. In particular, we obtain a family of new (nonlinear) polynomial tetrahedron maps on the space of square matrices of arbitrary size, using a matrix refactorisation equation, which does not coincide with the standard local Yang--Baxter equation. Liouville integrability is established for some of these maps. Also, we show how to derive linear tetrahedron maps as linear approximations of nonlinear ones, using Lax representations a…
The first goal of this note is to extend the well-known Feigin homomorphisms taking quantum groups to quantum polynomial algebras. More precisely, we define generalized Feigin homomorphisms from a quantum shuffle algebra to quantum polynomial algebras which extend the classical Feigin homomorphisms along the embedding of the quantum group into said quantum shuffle algebra. In a recent work of Berenstein and the author, analogous extensions of Feigin homomorphisms from the dual Hall-Ringel algebra of a valued quiver to quantum polynomial algebras were defined. To relate these constructions, we …
The generalized quantum group of type $A$ is an affine analogue of quantum group associated to a general linear Lie superalgebra, which appears in the study of solutions to the tetrahedron equation or the three-dimensional Yang-Baxter equation. In this paper, we develop the crystal base theory for finite-dimensional representations of generalized quantum group of type $A$. As a main result, we construct Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules, that is, a family of irreducible modules which have crystal bases. We also give an explicit combinatorial description of the crystal structure of Kirillov-Reshetik…
We show that two involutions on the variety $N_n^+$ of upper triangular totally positive matrices are related, on the one hand, to the tetrahedron equation and, on the other hand, to the action of the symmetric group $S_3$ on some subvariety of $N_n^+$ and on the set of certain functions on $N_n^+$. Using these involutions, we obtain a family of dilogarithm identities involving minors of totally positive matrices. These identities admit a form manifestly invariant under the action of the symmetric group $S_3$.
In this note we first consider a ternary matrix group related to the von Neumann regular semigroups and to the Artin braid group (in an algebraic way). The product of a special kind of ternary matrices (idempotent and of finite order) reproduces the regular semigroups and braid groups with their binary multiplication of components. We then generalize the construction to the higher arity case, which allows us to obtain some higher degree versions (in our sense) of the regular semigroups and braid groups. The latter are connected with the generalized polyadic braid equation and $R$-matrix introd…
Generalized Yang-Baxter matrices sometimes give rise to braid group representations. We identify the exact images of some qubit representations of the braid groups from generalized Yang-Baxter matrices obtained from anyons in the metaplectic modular categories.
We classify braided generalized near-group fusion categories whose global dimension is not an integer; there are exactly two up to Grothendieck equivalence and taking products with braided pointed fusion categories.
We study Hamilton circuits of the Cayley graphs of the Weyl groupoids of the generalized quantum groups, or the quantum double of the Nichols algebras of diagonal-type, with finite root systems. We prove the existence of a Hamilton circuit for any of them and explicitly draw one of them for rank 3 and 4 cases.
This paper gives elements in the (skew) center of the generalized quantum group corresponding to its irreducible finite dimensional modules. Finally we give a conjecture stating that those must form a basis of the center.
