In this article, we are interested in solving numerically backward doubly stochastic differential equations (BDSDEs) with random terminal time tau. The main motivations are giving a probabilistic representation of the Sobolev's solution of Dirichlet problem for semilinear SPDEs and providing the numerical scheme for such SPDEs. Thus, we study the strong approximation of this class of BDSDEs when tau is the first exit time of a forward SDE from a cylindrical domain. Euler schemes and bounds for the discrete-time approximation error are provided.
This paper deals with generalized backward doubly stochastic differential equations driven by a Lévy process (GBDSDEL, in short). Under left or right continuous and linear growth conditions, we prove the existence of minimal (resp. maximal) solutions.
This paper is intended to give a probabilistic representation for stochastic viscosity solution of semi-linear reflected stochastic partial differential equations with nonlinear Neumann boundary condition. We use it connection with reflected generalized backward doubly stochastic differential equation.
In this paper we study the homeomorphic properties of the solutions to one dimensional backward doubly stochastic differential equations under suitable assumptions, where the terminal values depend on a real parameter. Then, we apply them to the solutions for a class of second order quasilinear parabolic stochastic partial differential equations.
This paper is intended to give a representation for stochastic viscosity solution of semi-linear reflected stochastic partial differential equations with nonlinear Neumann boundary condition. We use its connection with reflected generalized backward doubly stochastic differential equations.
In this paper we present two numerical schemes of approximating solutions of backward doubly stochastic differential equations (BDSDEs for short). We give a method to discretize a BDSDE. And we also give the proof of the convergence of these two kinds of solutions for BDSDEs respectively. We give a sample of computation of BDSDEs.
We deal with reflected solutions of anticipated backward doubly stochastic differential equations (RABDSDEs) driven by Teugels martingales associated with Lévy process under a Lipschitz generator where the coefficients of these BDSDEs depend on the future and present value of the solution $\left( Y,Z\right) $. Also we study the existence of a solution for anticipated BDSDEs.
In this paper, a class of reflected generalized backward doubly stochastic differential equations (reflected GBDSDEs in short) driven by Teugels martingales associated with Lévy process and the integral with respect to an adapted continuous increasing process is investigated. We obtain the existence and uniqueness of solutions to these equations. A probabilistic interpretation for solutions to a class of reflected stochastic partial differential integral equations (PDIEs in short) with a nonlinear Neumann boundary condition is given.
This paper investigates a numerical probabilistic method for the solution of some semilinear stochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs in short). The numerical scheme is based on discrete time approximation for solutions of systems of decoupled forward-backward doubly stochastic differential equations. Under standard assumptions on the parameters, the convergence and the rate of convergence of the numerical scheme is proven. The proof is based on a generalization of the result on the path regularity of the backward equation.
In this paper, we study reflected generalized backward doubly stochastic differential equations driven by Teugels martingales associated with Lévy process (RGBDSDELs, in short) with one continuous barrier. Under uniformly Lipschitz coefficients, we prove existence and uniqueness result by means of the penalization method and the fixed point theorem. As an application, this study allows us to give a probabilistic representation for the solutions to a class of reflected stochastic partial differential integral equations (SPDIEs, in short) with a nonlinear Neumann boundary condition.
This paper presents existence and uniqueness results for reflected backward doubly stochastic differential equations (in short RBDDSEs) in a convex domain D. Moreover, using a stochastic flow approach a probabilistic interpretation for a class of reflected SPDE's in a domain is given via such RBDSDEs. The solution is expressed as a pair (u,ν) where u is a predictable continuous process which takes values in a Sobolev space and m is a random regular measure. The bounded variation process K, component of the solution of the reflected BDSDE, controls the set when u reaches the boundary of D. This…
We introduce a generalized notion of semilinear elliptic partial differential equations where the corresponding second order partial differential operator $L$ has a generalized drift. We investigate existence and uniqueness of generalized solutions of class $C^1$. The generator $L$ is associated with a Markov process $X$ which is the solution of a stochastic differential equation with distributional drift. If the semilinear PDE admits boundary conditions, its solution is naturally associated with a backward stochastic differential equation (BSDE) with random terminal time, where the forward pr…
In this paper, we discuss the solvability of backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs) with superquadratic generators. We first prove that given a superquadratic generator, there exists a bounded terminal value, such that the associated BSDE does not admit any bounded solution. On the other hand, we prove that if the superquadratic BSDE admits a bounded solution, then there exist infinitely many bounded solutions for this BSDE. Finally, we prove the existence of a solution for Markovian BSDEs where the terminal value is a bounded continuous function of a forward stochastic differentia…
We derive the optimal rate of convergence for the mean squared error at the terminal point for anticipating linear stochastic differential equations, where the integral is interpreted in Skorohod sense. Although alternative proof techniques are needed, our results can be seen as generalizations of the corresponding results for Itō SDEs. As a key tool we extend optimal approximation results for vectors of correlated Wiener integrals to general random vectors, which contain the solutions of our Skorohod SDEs.
The work concerns a type of backward multivalued McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations. First, we prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions for backward multivalued McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations. Then, it is presented that their solutions depend continuously on the terminal values. Finally, we give a probabilistic interpretation for viscosity solutions of nonlocal quasi-linear parabolic variational inequalities.
In this paper, we study the existence and uniqueness of solutions to quadratic Backward Stochastic Differential Equations (QBSDEs for short) with rough driver and square integrable terminal condition. The main idea consists in using both Doss-Sussman and Zvonkin type transformations. As an application we study connection between QBSDEs and quadratic PDEs with rough drivers. We also obtain Backward Doubly SDEs and QBSDEs driven by Fractional Brownian with Hurst parameter greater than $\frac{1}{4}$ as particular cases of our QBSDEs with rough drivers. A probabilistic representation of a class of…
Let (Y, Z) denote the solution to a forward-backward SDE. If one constructs a random walk B n from the underlying Brownian motion B by Skorohod embedding, one can show L 2 convergence of the corresponding solutions (Y n , Z n) to (Y, Z). We estimate the rate of convergence in dependence of smoothness properties, especially for a terminal condition function in C 2,$α$. The proof relies on an approximative representation of Z n and uses the concept of discretized Malliavin calculus. Moreover, we use growth and smoothness properties of the PDE associated to the FBSDE as well as of the finite diff…
We consider the classical problem of maximizing the expected utility of terminal net wealth with a final random liability in a simple jump-diffusion model. In the spirit of Horst et al. (2014) and Santacroce-Trivellato (2014), under suitable conditions the optimal strategy is expressed in implicit form in terms of a forward backward system of equations. Some explicit results are presented for the pure jump model and for exponential utilities.
We describe an Euler scheme to approximate solutions of Lévy driven Stochastic Differential Equations (SDE) where the grid points are random and given by the arrival times of a Poisson process. This result extends a previous work of the authors in Ferreiro-Castilla et al. (2012). We provide a complete numerical analysis of the algorithm to approximate the terminal value of the SDE and proof that the approximation converges in mean square error with rate $\mathcal{O}(n^{-1/2})$. The only requirement of the methodology is to have exact samples from the resolvent of the Lévy process driving the S…
The aim of this paper is to establish the existence and uniqueness of the solution to a system of nonlinear fully coupled forward-backward doubly stochastic differential equations with Poisson jumps. Our system is Markovian in the sense that initial and terminal values depend on solutions, and are not just fixed random variables. We establish under some monotonicity conditions, the existence and uniqueness of strong solutions of such equations by using a continuation method.
In this paper we propose a numerical scheme for the class of backward doubly stochastic (BDSDEs) with possible path-dependent terminal values. We prove that our scheme converge in the strong $L^2$-sense and derive its rate of convergence. As an intermediate step we derive an $L^2$-type regularity of the solution to such BDSDEs. Such a notion of regularity which can be though of as the modulus of continuity of the paths in an $L^2$-sense, is new.
In this paper, our goal is solving backward doubly stochastic differential equation (BDSDE for short) under weak assumptions on the data. The first part of the paper is devoted to the development of some new technical aspects of stochastic calculus related to BDSDEs. Then we derive a priori estimates and prove existence and uniqueness of solutions, extending the results of Pardoux and Peng \cite{PP1} to the case where the solution is taked in $L^{p}, p>1$ and the monotonicity conditions are satisfied. This study is limited to deterministic terminal time.
In this paper we study the class of backward doubly stochastic differential equations (BDSDEs, for short) whose terminal value depends on the history of forward diffusion. We first establish a probabilistic representation for the spatial gradient of the stochastic viscosity solution to a quasilinear parabolic SPDE in the spirit of the Feynman-Kac formula, without using the derivatives of the coefficients of the corresponding BDSDE. Then such a representation leads to a closed-form representation of the martingale integrand of BDSDE, under only standard Lipschitz condition on the coefficients.
In this paper, we initiate the study of backward doubly stochastic differential equations (BDSDEs, for short) with quadratic growth. The existence, comparison, and stability results for one-dimensional BDSDEs are proved when the generator $f(t,Y,Z)$ grows in $Z$ quadratically and the terminal value is bounded, by introducing some new ideas. Moreover, in this framework, we use BDSDEs to give a probabilistic representation for the solutions of semilinear stochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs, for short) in Sobolev spaces, and use it to prove the existence and uniqueness of such SPDEs,…
In this paper, we consider a class of backward doubly stochastic differential equations (BDSDE for short) with general terminal value and general random generator. Those BDSDEs do not involve any forward diffusion processes. By using the techniques of Malliavin calculus, we are able to establish the $L^p$-Hölder continuity of the solution pair. Then, an implicit numerical scheme for the BDSDE is proposed and the rate of convergence is obtained in the $L^p$-sense. As a by-product, we obtain an explicit representation of the process $Y$ in the solution pair to a linear BDSDE with random coeffici…
In this paper, we first prove existence and uniqueness of the solution of a backward doubly stochastic differential equation (BDSDE) and of the related stochastic partial differential equation (SPDE) under monotonicity assumption on the generator. Then we study the case where the terminal data is singular, in the sense that it can be equal to +$\infty$ on a set of positive measure. In this setting we show that there exists a minimal solution, both for the BDSDE and for the SPDE. Note that solution of the SPDE means weak solution in the Sobolev sense.
In this work, we study the numerical approximation of a class of singular fully coupled forward backward stochastic differential equations. These equations have a degenerate forward component and non-smooth terminal condition. They are used, for example, in the modeling of carbon market[9] and are linked to scalar conservation law perturbed by a diffusion. Classical FBSDEs methods fail to capture the correct entropy solution to the associated quasi-linear PDE. We introduce a splitting approach that circumvent this difficulty by treating differently the numerical approximation of the diffusion …
In this paper, we prove that, if the coefficient f = f(t; y; z) of backward doubly stochastic differential equations (BDSDEs for short) is assumed to be continuous and linear growth in (y; z); then the uniqueness of solution and continuous dependence with respect to the coefficients f, g and the terminal value are equivalent.
In this paper we construct the stationary weak solutions of parabolic SPDEs by a general infinite horizon backward doubly stochastic differential equations (BDSDEs for short) with non-degenerate terminal functions. For this, we first study the existence, uniqueness and stationarity of solutions of such kind of BDSDEs in weighted $L^p(dx)\bigotimes L^2(dx)$ space ($p>2$). Then the corresponding stationary solutions of parabolic SPDEs can be obtained by the connection between the solutions of BDSDEs in weighted $L^p(dx)\bigotimes L^2(dx)$ space and the weak solutions of parabolic SPDEs. This res…
