Aldous introduced a modification of the bond percolation process on the binary tree where clusters stop growing (freeze) as soon as they become infinite. We investigate the site version of this process on the triangular lattice where clusters freeze as soon as they reach L infinity diameter at least N for some parameter N. We show that, informally speaking, in the limit N goes to infinity, the clusters only freeze in the critical window of site percolation on the triangular lattice. Hence the fraction of vertices that eventually (i. e. at time 1) are in a frozen cluster tends to 0 as N goes to infinity. We also show that the diameter of the open cluster at time 1 of a given vertex is, with high probability, smaller than N but of order N. This shows that the process on the triangular lattice has a behaviour quite different from Aldous' process. We also indicate which modifications have to be made to adapt the proofs to the case of the N-parameter frozen bond percolation process on the square lattice. This extends our results to the square lattice, and answers the questions posed by van den Berg, de Lima and Nolin in an earlier paper.
In frozen percolation, i.i.d. uniformly distributed activation times are assigned to the edges of a graph. At its assigned time, an edge opens provided neither of its endvertices is part of an infinite open cluster; in the opposite case, it freezes. Aldous (2000) showed that such a process can be constructed on the infinite 3-regular tree and asked whether the event that a given edge freezes is a measurable function of the activation times assigned to all edges. We give a negative answer to this question, or, using an equivalent formulation and terminology introduced by Aldous and Bandyopadhya…
We study two closely related processes on the triangular lattice: frozen percolation, where connected components of occupied vertices freeze (they stop growing) as soon as they contain at least $N$ vertices, and forest fire processes, where connected components burn (they become entirely vacant) at rate $ζ> 0$. In this paper, we prove that when the density of occupied sites approaches the critical threshold for Bernoulli percolation, both processes display a striking phenomenon: the appearance of near-critical "avalanches". More specifically, we analyze the avalanches, all the way up to the na…
We use the lace expansion to prove an infra-red bound for site percolation on the hypercubic lattice in high dimension. This implies the triangle condition and allows us to derive several critical exponents that characterize mean-field behavior in high dimensions.
We investigate percolation in the Boolean model with convex grains in high dimension. For each dimension d, one fixes a compact, convex and symmetric set K $\subset$ R d with non empty interior. In a first setting, the Boolean model is a reunion of translates of K. In a second setting, the Boolean model is a reunion of translates of K or $ρ$K for a further parameter $ρ$ $\in$ (1, 2). We give the asymptotic behavior of the percolation probability and of the percolation threshold in the two settings.
We establish several equivalent characterisations of the anchored isoperimetric dimension of supercritical clusters in Bernoulli bond percolation on transitive graphs. We deduce from these characterisations together with a theorem of Duminil-Copin, Goswami, Raoufi, Severo, and Yadin that if $G$ is a transient transitive graph then the infinite clusters of Bernoulli percolation on $G$ are transient for $p$ sufficiently close to $1$. It remains open to extend this result down to the critical probability. Along the way we establish two new cluster repulsion inequalities that are of independent in…
An upper bound for the critical probability of long range bond percolation in $d=2$ and $d=3$ is obtained by connecting the bond percolation with the SIR epidemic model, thus complementing the lower bound result in Frei and Perkins arXiv:arch-ive/1603.04130. A key ingredient is that we establish a uniform bound for the local times of branching random walk by calculating their exponential moments and by using the discrete versions of Tanaka's formula and Garsia's Lemma.

我们证明了,在对空间和时间进行定心和扩散重新标度之后,时空格点Z^2_{even}:={(x,i)in Z^2:x+i is even}上的超临界定向渗流构形中的最右边无限开路的集合按分布收敛到布朗网.这证明了吴和张的一个猜想。我们的关键观察是,每个最右边的无限开放路径可以近似为一个渗透勘探集群,不同的勘探集群独立发展之前,他们相交。
In this paper we study anisotropic oriented percolation on $\mathbb{Z}^d$ for $d\geq 4$ and show that the local condition for phase transition is closely related to the mean-field condition. More precisely, we show that if the sum of the local probabilities is strictly greater than one and each probability is not too large, then percolation occurs.
We prove that for Bernoulli bond percolation on $\mathbb{Z}^d$, $d\geq 2$ the percolation density is an analytic function of the parameter in the supercritical interval $(p_c,1]$. This answers a question of Kesten from 1981.
