We study the phi^4 scalar field theory in de Sitter space using the 2PI effective action formalism. This formalism enables us to investigate the nonperturbative quantum effects. We use the mean field and gap equations and calculate the physical mass and effective potential. We find that nonperturbative infrared effects on de Sitter space produce a curvature-induced mass and work to restore the broken Z_2 symmetry.
We develop a nonperturbative quantum scalar field formalism from a noncompact Kaluza-Klein (KK) theory using the induced-matter theory of gravity during inflation. We study the particular case of a de Sitter expansion for the universe.
We study a stochastic formalism for a nonperturbative treatment of the inflaton field in the framework of a noncompact Kaluza-Klein (KK) theory during an inflationary (de Sitter) expansion, without the slow-roll approximation.
We consider the linearized semiclassical Einstein equations for small deviations around de Sitter spacetime including the vacuum polarization effects of conformal fields. Employing the method of order reduction, we find the exact solutions for general metric perturbations (of scalar, vector and tensor type). Our exact (nonperturbative) solutions show clearly that in this case de Sitter is stable with respect to small metric deviations and a late-time attractor. Furthermore, they also reveal a breakdown of perturbative solutions for a sufficiently long evolution inside the horizon. Our results …
We investigate scalar field theories in de Sitter space by means of nonperturbative renormalization group techniques. We compute the functional flow equation for the effective potential of O(N) theories in the local potential approximation and we study the onset of curvature-induced effects as quantum fluctuations are progressively integrated out from subhorizon to superhorizon scales. This results in a dimensional reduction of the original action to an effective zero-dimensional Euclidean theory. We show that the latter is equivalent both to the late-time equilibrium state of the stochastic a…
We compute the four-point correlation function of a light O(N) scalar field in de Sitter space in the large-N limit. For superhorizon momentum modes, infrared effects strongly enhance the size of loop contributions. We find that in the deep infrared limit, the latter are of the same order as the tree-level one. The tree-level momentum structure, characteristic of a contact term, gets renormalized by a factor of order unity. In addition loop contributions give rise to a new momentum structure, characteristic of an exchange diagram, corresponding to the exchange of an effective composite scalar …
We study the O(N) scalar field theory with quartic self-coupling in de Sitter space. When the field is light in units of the expansion rate, perturbative methods break down at very low momenta due to large infrared logarithmic terms. Using the nonperturbative large-N limit, we compute the four-point vertex function in the deep infrared regime. The resummation of an infinite series of perturbative (bubble) diagrams leads to a modified power law which is analogous to the generation of an anomalous dimension in critical phenomena. We discuss in detail the role of high momentum (subhorizon) modes,…
The dynamical generation of a four-dimensional classical universe from nothing but fundamental quantum excitations at the Planck scale is a long-standing challenge to theoretical physicists. A candidate theory of quantum gravity which achieves this goal without invoking exotic ingredients or excessive fine-tuning is based on the nonperturbative and background-independent technique of Causal Dynamical Triangulations. We demonstrate in detail how in this approach a macroscopic de Sitter universe, accompanied by small quantum fluctuations, emerges from the full gravitational path integral, and ho…
We study the backreaction of superhorizon fluctuations of a light quantum scalar field on a classical de Sitter geometry by means of the Wilsonian renormalisation group. This allows us to treat the gravitationally amplified fluctuations in a nonperturbative manner and to analytically follow the induced renormalisation flow of the spacetime curvature as long wavelength modes are progressively integrated out. Unbounded loop corrections in the deep infrared are eventually screened by nonperturbative effects which stabilise the geometry.
Nonperturbative renormalization group techniques have recently proven a powerful tool to tackle the nontrivial infrared dynamics of light scalar fields in de Sitter space. In the present article, we develop the formalism beyond the local potential approximation employed in earlier works. In particular, we consider the derivative expansion, a systematic expansion in powers of field derivatives, appropriate for long wavelength modes, that we generalize to the relevant case of a curved metric with Lorentzian signature. The method is illustrated with a detailed discussion of the so-called local po…
The infrared effects for light minimally coupled scalar fields with quartic self-interaction in de Sitter space is investigated using the 2PI effective action formalism. This formalism partially resums infinite series of loop diagrams, and enables us to circumvent the IR divergence problem for a massless minimally coupled scalar field in de Sitter space. It is anticipated that nonperturbative infrared effects generate a curvature-induced mass and self-regulate the IR divergence. However, due to its nonperturbative nature, the renormalization prescription is a nontrivial task. To calculate phys…
We consider a quantum scalar field with λϕ^4 interaction in curved spacetimes. The quantum effects are taken into account nonperturbatively using the Hartree approximation to the 2PI effective action. Although this approximation has been considered in many previous works, we reconsider it using a consistent nonperturbative renormalization procedure, which we extend to general curved spacetimes. We obtain the renormalized equations for the mean field and for the propagator of the fluctuations, showing explicitly their independence on the arbitrary scale introduced by the regularization scheme. …
We study massive real scalar $ϕ^4$ theory in the expanding Poincare patch of de Sitter space. We calculate the leading two-loop infrared contribution to the two-point function in this theory. We do that for the massive fields both from the principal and complementary series. As can be expected at this order light fields from the complementary series show stronger infrared effects than the heavy fields from the principal one. For the principal series, unlike the complementary one, we can derive the kinetic equation from the system of Dyson--Schwinger equation, which allows us to sum up the lead…
The properties of a generalized version of the Borel Transform in infrared unstable theories with dynamical mass generation are studied. The reconstruction of the nonperturbative structure is unambiguous in this version. Various methods for extracting the singularity structure of the Borel Transform for lattice formulations of such theories are explored, and illustrated explicitly with the O(N) sigma model. The status of the first infrared renormalon in QCD is discussed. The feasibility of a proposed technique for analytically continuing from the left hand Borel plane (where nonperturbative in…
We set up an infrared-based moment problem to obtain estimates of the masses of the scalar, pseudoscalar and tensor glueballs in Euclidean Yang-Mills theories using the Refined Gribov-Zwanziger (RGZ) version of the Landau gauge, which takes into account nonperturbative physics related to gauge copies. Employing lattice input for the mass scales of the RGZ gluon propagator, the lowest order moment problem approximation gives the values m_{0++}\approx 1.96 GeV, m_{2++} \approx 2.04 GeV and m_{0-+}\approx 2.19 GeV in the SU(3) case, all within a 20% range of the corresponding lattice values. We a…
We compute the renormalization group flow of O(N) scalar field theories in de Sitter space using nonperturbative renormalization group techniques in the local potential approximation. We obtain the flow of the effective potential on superhorizon scales for arbitrary space-time dimension D=d+1. We show that, due to strong infrared fluctuations, the latter is qualitatively similar to the corresponding one in Euclidean space with D=0. It follows that spontaneously broken symmetries are radiatively restored in any space-time dimension and for any value of N.
We study the infrared (large separation) behavior of a massless minimally coupled scalar quantum field theory with a quartic self interaction in de Sitter spacetime. We show that the perturbation series in the interaction strength is singular and secular, i.e. it does not lead to a uniform approximation of the solution in the infrared region. Only a nonperturbative resummation can capture the correct infrared behavior. We seek to justify this picture using the Dyson-Schwinger equations in the ladder-rainbow approximation. We are able to write down an ordinary differential equation obeyed by th…
Graviton loop corrections to observables in de Sitter space often lead to infrared divergences. We show that these infrared divergences are resolved by the spontaneous breaking of de Sitter invariance.
Just because the propagator of some field obeys a de Sitter invariant equation does not mean it possesses a de Sitter invariant solution. The classic example is the propagator of a massless, minimally coupled scalar. We show that the same thing happens for massive scalars with $M_S^2 < 0$, and for massive transverse vectors with $M_V^2 \leq -2 (D-1) H^2$, where $D$ is the dimension of spacetime and $H$ is the Hubble parameter. Although all masses in these ranges give infrared divergent mode sums, using dimensional regularization (or any other analytic continuation technique) to define the mode…
We study the two-point correlator of an O(N) scalar field with quartic self-coupling in de Sitter space. For light fields in units of the expansion rate, perturbation theory is plagued by large logarithmic terms for superhorizon momenta. We show that a proper treatment of the infinite series of self-energy insertions through the Schwinger-Dyson equations resums these infrared logarithms into well defined power laws. We provide an exact analytical solution of the Schwinger-Dyson equations for infrared momenta when the self-energy is computed at two-loop order. The obtained correlator exhibits a…
We consider massive λϕ^4 theory in de Sitter background. The mass of the scalar field ϕis chosen small enough, such that the amplification of superhorizon momentum modes leads to a significant enhancement of infrared correlations, but large enough such that perturbation theory remains valid. Using the Closed-Time-Path approach, we calculate the infrared corrections to the two-point function of ϕto 2-loop order. To this approximation, we find agreement with the correlation found using stochastic methods. When breaking the results down to individual Feynman diagrams obtained by the two different…
We analyze the infrared behavior of the two and four-point functions for the massless $O(N)$ model in Lorentzian de Sitter spacetime, using the $1/N$ expansion. Our approach is based in the study of the Schwinger-Dyson equations on the sphere (Euclidean de Sitter space), using the fact that the infrared behavior in Lorentzian spacetime is determined by the pole structure of the Euclidean correlation functions. We compute the two-point function up to the NTLO in $1/N$, and show that in the infrared it behaves as the superposition of two massive free propagators with effective masses of the same…
In de Sitter space, scale invariant fluctuations give rise to infrared logarithmic corrections to physical quantities, which eventually spoil perturbation theories. For models without derivative interactions, it has been known that the field equation reduces to a Langevin equation with white noise in the leading logarithm approximation. The stochastic equation allows us to evaluate the infrared effects nonperturbatively. We extend the resummation formula so that it is applicable to models with derivative interactions. We first consider the nonlinear sigma model and next consider a more general…
We analyze the ultraviolet to infrared evolution and nonperturbative properties of asymptotically free ${\rm SU}(N) \otimes {\rm SU}(N-4) \otimes {\rm U}(1)$ chiral gauge theories with $N_f$ copies of chiral fermions transforming according to $([2]_N,1)_{N-4} + ([\bar 1]_N,[\bar 1]_{N-4})_{-(N-2)} + (1,(2)_{N-4})_N$, where $[k]_N$ and $(k)_N$ denote the antisymmetric and symmetric rank-$k$ tensor representations of SU($N$) and the rightmost subscript is the U(1) charge. We give a detailed discussion for the lowest nondegenerate case, $N=6$. These theories can exhibit both self-breaking of a st…
We investigate nonperturbative infrared effects for the O(N) linear sigma model in de Sitter space using the two-particle irreducible effective action at the Hartree truncation level. This approximation resums the infinite series of so-called superdaisy diagrams. For the proper treatment of ultraviolet divergences, we first study the renormalization of this approximation on a general curved background. Then, we calculate radiatively corrected masses and the effective potential. As a result, spontaneous symmetry breaking is possible, on the other hand, the Goldstone modes acquire a positive def…
In this study, we formulate a systematic way of deriving an effective equation of motion(EoM) for long wavelength modes of a massless scalar field with a general potential $V(ϕ)$ on de Sitter background, and investigate whether or not the effective EoM can be described as a classical stochastic process. Our formulation gives an extension of the usual stochastic formalism to including sub-leading secular growth coming from the nonlinearity of short wavelength modes. Applying our formalism to $λϕ^4$ theory, we explicitly derive an effective EoM which correctly recovers the next-to-leading secula…
We establish exactly and uniquely the infrared structure of the full gluon propagator in QCD, not solving explicitly the corresponding dynamical equation of motion. By construction, this structure is an infinite sum over all possible severe (i.e., more singular than $1/q^2$) infrared singularities. It reflects the zero momentum modes enhancement effect in the true QCD vacuum. Its existence exhibits a characteristic mass (the so-called mass gap), which is responsible for the scale of nonperturbative dynamics in the QCD ground state. The theory of distributions, complemented by the dimensional r…
We describe a few unexpected features of de Sitter Quantum Field Theory that have no Minkowskian counterparts. These phenomena show that even when the cosmological constant is tiny a Minkowskian way of fast thinking about de Sitter can lead to mistakes and that de Sitter QFT is essentially different from standard relativistic (Minkowskian) QFT.
We study the quantum theory of an O(N) scalar field on de Sitter geometry at leading order in a nonperturbative 1/N-expansion. This resums the infinite series of so-called superdaisy loop diagrams. We obtain the de Sitter symmetric solutions of the corresponding, properly renormalized, dynamical field equations and compute the complete effective potential. Because of its self-interactions, the field acquires a strictly positive square mass which screens potential infrared divergences. Moreover, strongly enhanced ultralong-wavelength fluctuations prevent the existence of a spontaneously broken …
In the in-/out-state formalism we find the exact one-loop effective action of a massive scalar field in the global coordinates of de Sitter spaces, which is a gravity analog of the Heisenberg-Euler action in QED. The nonperturbative effective action, modulo the angular momentum sum, has an imaginary part in all even dimensions, but the imaginary part of the effective action is zero in all odd dimensions. However, in the zeta-function regularization for angular momenta, the weak-curvature expansion of the renormalized effective action vanishes in any even dimension, while the real part is finit…
A non-linear Schwinger-Dyson (SD) equation for the gauge boson propagator of massless QED in one time and two spatial dimensions is studied. It is shown that the nonperturbative solution leads to a nontrivial renormalization-group infrared fixed point quantitatively close to the one found in the leading order of the 1/N expansion, with N the number of fermion flavors. In the gauged Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (GNJL) model an equation for the Yukawa vertex is solved in an approximation given by the one-photon exchange and an analytic expression is derived for the propagator of the scalar fermion-antifer…

Light scalars in inflationary spacetimes suffer from logarithmic infrared divergences at every order in perturbation theory. This corresponds to the scalar field values in different Hubble patches undergoing a random walk of quantum fluctuations, leading to a simple toy "landscape" on superhorizon scales, in which we can explore questions relevant to eternal inflation. However, for a sufficiently long period of inflation, the infrared divergences appear to spoil computability. Some form of renormalization group approach is thus motivated to resum the log divergences of conformal time. Such a r…
The propagators for the Faddeev-Popov (FP) ghosts in Yang-Mills theory and perturbative gravity in the covariant gauge are infrared (IR) divergent in de Sitter spacetime. An IR cutoff in the momentum space to regularize these divergences breaks the de Sitter invariance. These IR divergences are due to the spatially constant modes in the Yang-Mills case and the modes proportional to the Killing vectors in the case of perturbative gravity. It has been proposed that these IR divergences can be removed, with the de Sitter invariance preserved, by first regularizing them with an additional mass ter…
We show that the quantum universe emerging from a nonperturbative, Lorentzian sum-over-geometries can be described with high accuracy by a four-dimensional de Sitter spacetime. By a scaling analysis involving Newton's constant, we establish that the linear size of the quantum universes under study is in between 17 and 28 Planck lengths. Somewhat surprisingly, the measured quantum fluctuations around the de Sitter universe in this regime are to good approximation still describable semiclassically. The numerical evidence presented comes from a regularization of quantum gravity in terms of causal…
In this thesis, several aspects of Yang-Mills theory are studied. It begins with the constrained quantization in the Coulomb gauge, using the Dirac bracket formalism. A nonperturbative analysis of the infrared asymptotics of propagators in any spatial dimension follows, and a connection to the Landau gauge is given. In the Coulomb gauge Hamiltonian approach, a linearly rising static color Coulomb potential is found, along with an infrared diverging gluon energy, both signaling confinement. The propagators and vertices in the entire momentum regime are calculated with the variational principle.…
The coupled Dyson-Schwinger equations for the gluon and ghost propagators are investigated in the Landau gauge using a two-loop improved truncation that preserves the multiplicative renormalizability of the propagators. In this truncation all diagrams contribute to the leading order infrared analysis. The infrared contributions of the nonperturbative two-loop diagrams to the gluon vacuum polarization are computed analytically, and this reveals that infrared power behaved propagator solutions only exist when the squint diagram contribution is taken into account. For small momenta the gluon and …
We study the infrared (long distance) behavior of the free photon field in de Sitter spacetime. Using a two-parameter family of gauge fixing terms, we show that the infrared (IR) behavior of the two-point function is highly gauge-dependent and ranges from vanishing to growing. This situation is in disagreement with its counterpart in flat spacetime, where the two-point function vanishes in the IR for any choice of the gauge fixing parameters. A criterion to isolate the "physical" part of the two-point function is given and is shown to lead to a well-behaved two-point function in the IR.
We consider an $O(N)$ scalar field model with quartic interaction in $d$-dimensional Euclidean de Sitter space. In order to avoid the problems of the standard perturbative calculations for light and massless fields, we generalize to the $O(N)$ theory a systematic method introduced previously for a single field, which treats the zero modes exactly and the nonzero modes perturbatively. We compute the two-point functions taking into account not only the leading infrared contribution, coming from the self-interaction of the zero modes, but also corrections due to the interaction of the ultraviolet…
We study the Landau gauge correlators of Yang-Mills fields for infrared Euclidean momenta in the context of a massive extension of the Faddeev-Popov Lagrangian which, we argue, underlies a variety of continuum approaches. Standard (perturbative) renormalization group techniques with a specific, infrared-safe renormalization scheme produce so-called decoupling and scaling solutions for the ghost and gluon propagators, which correspond to nontrivial infrared fixed points. The decoupling fixed point is infrared stable and weakly coupled, while the scaling fixed point is unstable and generically s…
We continue to investigate various instabilities of the fixed backgrounds related to the de Sitter space. It is shown that in many cases the in/in perturbation theory contains IR/UV mixing and thus is non-renormalizible. The application of this result to the global de Sitter space leads to the conclusion that even massive particles generate IR divergence and the huge back reaction. The expanding universe is also unstable but in a weaker sense. We further discuss, the strange features of the Gibbons-Hawking radiation and its relation to the above instabilities. .
We propose a $1/N$ expansion of Starobinsky and Yokoyama's effective stochastic approach for light quantum fields on superhorizon scales in de Sitter spacetime. We explicitly compute the spectrum and the eigenfunctions of the Fokker-Planck operator for a O($N$)-symmetric theory with quartic selfinteraction at leading and next-to-leading orders in this expansion. We obtain simple analytical expressions valid in various nonperturbative regimes in terms of the interaction coupling constant.
The combination of Anti-de Sitter space (AdS) methods with light-front (LF) holography provides a remarkably accurate first approximation for the spectra and wavefunctions of meson and baryon light-quark bound states. The resulting bound-state Hamiltonian equation of motion in QCD leads to relativistic light-front wave equations in terms of an invariant impact variable $ζ$ which measures the separation of the quark and gluonic constituents within the hadron at equal light-front time. These equations of motion in physical space-time are equivalent to the equations of motion which describe the p…
We propose how to explicitly introduce the Jaffe-Witten mass gap into the quantum Yang-Mills theory. Through the full gluon propagator it is defined as such nonperturbative scale that when it formally goes to zero, then the perturbative phase survives in the theory only. The close link between mass gap and strong infrared singularities which are due to dominated in the QCD vacuum self-interaction of massless gluons is also discussed. This interaction leads thus to the zero momentum modes enhancement effect in the QCD nonperturbative vacuum. Using theory of distributions, we argue that strong n…
We study the dynamics of light quantum scalar fields in de Sitter space on superhorizon scales. We compute the self-energy of an O(N) symmetric theory at next-to-leading order in a 1/N expansion in the regime of superhorizon momenta, and we obtain an exact analytical solution of the corresponding Dyson-Schwinger equations for the two-point correlator. This amounts to resumming the infinite series of nonlocal self-energy insertions, which typically generate spurious infrared and/or secular divergences. The potentially large de Sitter logarithms resum into well-behaved power laws from which we e…
We use the one loop vacuum polarization induced by scalar quantum electrodynamics to compute the electric and magnetic fields of point charges and magnetic dipoles on a locally de Sitter background. Our results are consistent with the physical picture of an inflating universe filling with a vast sea of charged particles as more and more virtual infrared scalar are ripped out of the vacuum. One consequence is that vacuum polarization quickly becomes nonperturbatively strong. Our computation employs the Schwinger-Keldysh effective field equations and is done in flat, conformal coordinates. Resul…
Self-energies of a minimally coupled scalar field with quartic and trilinear interactions are calculated in a de Sitter background, using a position space propagator. For quartic interactions, we recover earlier results for the seagull diagram, namely that it contributes an effective mass for the scalar field at leading order in the infrared enhancement in a steady-state de Sitter background. We further show that the sunset diagram also contributes to this effective mass and argue that these two contributions are sufficient in order to determine a self-consistent dynamical mass. In addition, t…
The infrared dynamics of a light, minimally coupled scalar field in de Sitter spacetime with Ricci curvature $R=12H$, averaged over horizon sized regions of physical volume $V_H=\frac{4π}{3}\left(\frac{1}{H}\right)^3$, can be interpreted as Brownian motion in a medium with de Sitter temperature $T_{DS}=\frac{\hbar H}{2π}$. We demonstrate this by directly deriving the effective action of scalar field fluctuations with wavelengths larger than the de Sitter curvature radius and generalizing Starobinsky's seminal results on stochastic inflation. The effective action describes stochastic dynamics a…
Inertial observers in de Sitter are surrounded by a horizon and see thermal fluctuations. To them, a massless scalar field appears to follow a random motion but any attractive potential, no matter how weak, will eventually stabilize the field. We study this thermalization process in the static patch (the spacetime region accessible to an individual observer) via a truncation to the low frequency spectrum. We focus on the distribution of the field averaged over a subhorizon region. At timescales much longer than the inverse temperature and to leading order in the coupling, we find the evolution…
We have studied the induced one-loop energy-momentum tensor of a massive complex scalar field within the framework of nonperturbative quantum electrodynamics (QED) with a uniform electric field background on the Poincaré patch of the two-dimensional de Sitter spacetime ($\mathrm{dS_{2}}$). We also consider a direct coupling the scalar field to the Ricci scalar curvature which is parameterized by an arbitrary dimensionless nonminimal coupling constant. We evaluate the trace anomaly of the induced energy-momentum tensor. We show that our results for the induced energy-momentum tensor in the zero…
To resolve infrared problems with the de~Sitter invariant vacuum, we argue that the history of the de~Sitter phase is crucial. We illustrate how either (1)~the diagonalization of the Hamiltonian for long-wavelength modes or (2)~an explicit modification of the metric in the distant past leads to natural infrared cutoffs. The former case resembles a bosonic superconductor in which graviton-pairing occurs between non-adiabatic modes. While the dynamical equations respect de~Sitter symmetry, the vacuum is not de~Sitter invariant because of the introduction of an initial condition at a finite time.…
We present a study of the IR behaviour of a three-dimensional super-renormalisable quantum field theory (QFT) consisting of a scalar field in the adjoint of $SU(N)$ with a $φ^4$ interaction. A bare mass is required for the theory to be massless at the quantum level. In perturbation theory the critical mass is ambiguous due to infrared (IR) divergences and we indeed find that at two-loops in lattice perturbation theory the critical mass diverges logarithmically. It was conjectured long ago in [Jackiw 1980, Appelquist 1981] that super-renormalisable theories are nonperturbatively IR finite, with…
I argue against the widespread notion that manifest de Sitter invariance on the full de Sitter manifold is either useful or even attainable in gauge theories. Green's functions and propagators computed in a de Sitter invariant gauge are generally more complicated than in some noninvariant gauges. What is worse, solving the gauge-fixed field equations in a de Sitter invariant gauge generally leads to violations of the original, gauge invariant field equations. The most interesting free quantum field theories possess no normalizable, de Sitter invariant states. This precludes the existence of de…
We study the backreaction of gravitationally amplified quantum fluctuations of scalar fields on a classical de Sitter geometry. We formulate the problem in the framework of the Wilsonian renormalisation group, which allows us to treat the scalar field fluctuations in a nonperturbative manner and to follow the renormalisation flow of the spacetime curvature as long wavelength, superhorizon fluctuations are progressively integrated out. For light fields in units of the spacetime curvature, these are described by an effective zero-dimensional field theory and can essentially be computed analytica…
We demonstrate the feasibility of a nonperturbative analysis of quantum field theory in the worldline formalism with the help of an efficient numerical algorithm. In particular, we compute the effective action for a super-renormalizable field theory with cubic scalar interaction in four dimensions in quenched approximation (small-$N_f$ expansion) to all orders in the coupling. We observe that nonperturbative effects exert a strong influence on the infrared behavior, rendering the massless limit well defined in contrast to the perturbative expectation. Our numerical method is based on a direct …
We continue a previous study about the infrared loop effects in the $D$-dimensional de Sitter space for a real scalar $ϕ^4$ theory from the complementary series whose bare mass belongs to the interval $\frac{\sqrt{3}}{4}\, \left(D-1\right) < m \leq \frac{D-1}{2}$, in units of the Hubble scale. The lower bound comes from the appearance of discrete states in the mass spectrum of the theory when that bound is violated, causing large IR loop effects in the vertices. We derive an equation which allows to perform a self--consistent resummation of the leading IR contributions from all loops to the tw…
