Superderivations for the eight families of finite or infinite dimensional graded Lie superalgebras of Cartan-type over a field of characteristic $p>3$ are completely determined by a uniform approach: The infinite dimensional case is reduced to the finite dimensional case and the latter is further reduced to the restrictedness case, which proves to be far more manageable. In particular, the outer superderivation algebras of those Lie superalgebras are completely determined.
In this paper, we characterize the local superderivations on Cartan type Lie superalgebras over the complex field $\mathbb{C}$. Furthermore, we prove that every local superderivations on Cartan type simple Lie superalgebras is a superderivations. As an application, using the results on local superderivations we characterize the $2$-local superderivations on Cartan type Lie superalgebras. We prove that every $2$-local superderivations on Cartan type Lie superalgebras is a superderivations.
We describe the ternary and the generalized superderivations of finite-dimensional semisimple Jordan superalgebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero and of finite-dimensional simple Jordan superalgebras with semisimple even part over an algebraically closed field of any characteristic not equal 2.
Let $L$ be a Lie superalgebra over a field of characteristic different from $2,3$ and write $\mathrm{ID}^{*}(L)$ for the Lie superalgebra consisting of superderivations mapping $L$ to $L^{2}$ and the central elements to zero. In this paper we first give an upper bound for the superdimension of $\mathrm{ID}^{*}(L)$ by means of linear vector space decompositions. Then we characterize the $\mathrm{ID}^{*}$-superderivation superalgebras for the nilpotent Lie superalgebras of class 2 and the model filiform Lie superalgebras by methods of block matrices.
The main object of study of this paper is the notion of 3-Lie superalgebras with superderivations. We consider a representation $(Φ,\mathcal{P})$ of a $3$-Lie superalgebra $\mathcal{Q}$ on $\mathcal{P}$ and construct first-order cohomologies by using superderivations of $\mathcal{P},\mathcal{Q}$ which induces a Lie superalgebra $\mathcal{T}_Φ$ and its representation $Ψ$. Then we consider abelian extensions of $3$-Lie superalgebras of the form $0\rightarrow \mathcal{P}\hookrightarrow \mathcal{L}\rightarrow \mathcal{Q}\rightarrow 0$ with $[\mathcal{P},\mathcal{P},\mathcal{L}]=0$ and construct an…
Along this paper we show that under certain conditions the method for describing of solvable Lie and Leibniz algebras with maximal codimension of nilradical is also extensible to Lie and Leibniz superalgebras, respectively. In particular, we totally determine the solvable Lie and Leibniz superalgebras with maximal codimension of model filiform and model nilpotent nilradicals. Finally, it is established that the superderivations of the obtained superalgebras are inner.
We compare a number of different definitions of structure algebras and TKK constructions for Jordan (super)algebras appearing in the literature. We demonstrate that, for unital superalgebras, all the definitions of the structure algebra and the TKK constructions fall apart into two cases. Moreover, one can be obtained as the Lie superalgebra of superderivations of the other. We also show that, for non-unital superalgebras, more definitions become non-equivalent. As an application, we obtain the corresponding Lie superalgebras for all simple finite dimensional Jordan superalgebras over an algeb…
This paper considers a family of finite dimensional simple Lie superalgebras of Cartan type over a field of characteristic $p>3$, the so-called special odd contact superalgebras. First, the spanning sets are determined for the Lie superalgebras and their relatives. Second, the spanning sets are used to characterize the simplicity and to compute the dimension formulas. Third, we determine the superderivation algebras and the first cohomology groups. Finally, the dimension formulas and the first cohomology groups are used to make a comparison between the special odd contact superalgebras and the…
We consider two families of finite-dimensional simple Lie superalgebras of Cartan type, denoted by HO and KO, over an algebraically closed field of characteristic p>3. Using the weight space decompositions and the principal gradings we first show that neither HO nor KO possesses a nondegenerate associative form. Then, by means of computing the superderivations from the Lie superalgebras in consideration into their dual modules, the second cohomology groups with coefficients in the trivial modules are proved to be vanishing.
In this paper, we characterize the super-biderivations of Cartan type Lie superalgebras over the complex field $\mathbb{C}$. Furthermore, we prove that all super-biderivations of Cartan type simple Lie superalgebras are inner super-biderivations.
Simple modules for the restricted Witt superalgebra $W(m,n,1)$ are considered. Conditions are provided for the restricted and nonrestricted Kac modules to be simple.
The maximal graded subalgebras for four families of Lie superalgebras of Cartan type over a field of prime characteristic are studied. All maximal reducible graded subalgebras are described completely and their isomorphism classes, dimension formulas are found. The classification of maximal irreducible graded subalgebras is reduced to the classification of the maximal irreducible subalgebras for the classical Lie superalgebras $\frak{gl}(m,n)$, $\frak{sl}(m,n)$ and $\frak{osp}(m,n)$.
The purpose of this paper is to determine all maximal graded subalgebras of the four infinite series of finite-dimensional graded Lie superalgebras of odd Cartan type over an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p>3$. All maximal graded subalgebras consist of three types (\MyRoman{1}), (\MyRoman{2}) and (\MyRoman{3}). Maximal graded subalgebras of type (\MyRoman{3}) fall into reducible maximal graded subalgebras and irreducible maximal graded subalgebras. In this paper we classify maximal graded subalgebras of types (\MyRoman{1}), (\MyRoman{2}) and reducible maximal g raded subalgebra…
We defined generalized δ-derivations of algebra A as linear mapping χassociated with usual δ-derivation ϕby the rule χ(xy)=δ(χ(x)y+xϕ(y))=δ(ϕ(x)y+xχ(y)) for any x,y \in A. We described generalized δ-derivations of prime alternative algebras, prime Lie algebras and superalgebras, unital algebras, and semisimple finite-dimensional Jordan superalgebras. In this cases we proved that generalized δ-derivation is a generalized derivation or δ-derivation. After that we described δ-superderivations of superalgebras <<KKM Double>>, arising from prime alternative algebras, prime Lie algebras and superalg…
Let $\mathbb{F}$ be the underlying base field of characteristic $p>3 $ and denote by $\mathcal{W}$ and $\mathcal{S}$ the even parts of the finite-dimensional generalized Witt Lie superalgebra $W$ and the special Lie superalgebra $S,$ respectively. We first give the generator sets of the Lie algebras $\mathcal{W}$ and $\mathcal{S}.$ Using certain properties of the canonical tori of $\mathcal{W}$ and $\mathcal{S},$ we then determine the derivation algebra of $\mathcal{W}$ and the derivation space of $\mathcal{S} $ to $\mathcal{W},$ where $\mathcal{W}$ is viewed as $\mathcal{S} $-module by means …
Over a field of characteristic p > 3, the first cohomology group of Lie superalgebra D(2,1;α) with coefficients in baby Verma modules is determined by calculating the outer superderivations of D(2,1;α).
Models of the exceptional simple modular Lie superalgebras in characteristic $p\geq 3$, that have appeared in the classification due to Bouarroudj, Grozman and Leites of the Lie superalgebras with indecomposable symmetrizable Cartan matrices, are provided. The models relate these exceptional Lie superalgebras to some low dimensional nonassociative algebraic systems.
For the exceptional finite-dimensional modular Lie superalgebras $\mathfrak{g}(A)$ with indecomposable Cartan matrix $A$, and their simple subquotients, we computed non-isomorphic Lie superalgebras constituting the homologies of the odd elements with zero square. These homologies are~key ingredients in the Duflo--Serganova approach to the representation theory. There were two definitions of defect of Lie superalgebras in the literature with different ranges of application. We suggest a third definition and an easy-to-use way to find its value. In positive characteristic, we found out one more …
I present a construction "a` la Chevalley" of affine supergroups associated with simple Lie superalgebras of (classical) type D(2,1;a), for any possible value of the parameter a - in particular, including non-integral values of a. This extends the similar work performed in [R. Fioresi, F. Gavarini, "Chevalley Supergroups", Memoirs of the AMS 215 (2012), no. 1014 - arXiv:0808.0785v8 [math.RA]], where all other simple Lie superalgebras of classical type were considered. The case of simple Lie superalgebras of Cartan type is dealt with in [F. Gavarini, "Algebraic supergroups of Cartan type", Foru…
Let $X$ be one of the finite-dimensional simple graded Lie superalgebras of Cartan type $W, S, H, K, HO, KO, SHO$ or $SKO$ over an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p>3$. In this paper we prove that $X$ can be generated by one element except the ones of type $W,$ $HO$, $KO$ or $SKO$ in certain exceptional cases, in which $X$ can be generated by two elements. As a subsidiary result, we also prove that certain classical Lie superalgebras or their relatives can be generated by one or two elements.
This paper is primarily concerned with generalized reduced Verma modules over $\mathbb{Z}$-graded modular Lie superalgebras. Some properties of the generalized reduced Verma modules and the coinduced modules are obtained. Moreover, the invariant forms on the generalized reduced Verma modules are considered. In particular, we prove that the generalized reduced Verma module is isomorphic to the mixed product for modules of $\mathbb{Z}$-graded modular Lie superalgebras of Cartan type.
A well-known fact is that there does not exist any compatible left-symmetric structures on a finite-dimensional complex semisimple Lie algebra (see \cite{Chu1974}). This result is not valid in semisimple Lie superalgebra case. In this paper, we study the compatible Left-symmetric superalgebra (LSSA for short) structures on complex simple Lie superalgebras. We prove that there is not any compatible LSSA structure on a finite-dimensional complex simple Lie superalgebra except for the classical simple Lie superalgebra $A(m,n)(m\neq n)$ and Cartan simple Lie superalgebra $W(n)(n\geq 3)$. We also c…
We prove Conjecture 5.7 in [arXiv:1409.2532], describing all inclusions between primitive ideals for the general linear superalgebra in terms of the Ext1-quiver of simple highest weight modules. For arbitrary basic classical Lie superalgebras, we formulate two types of Kazhdan-Lusztig quasi-orders on the dual of the Cartan subalgebra, where one corresponds to the above conjecture. Both orders can be seen as generalisations of the left Kazhdan-Lusztig order on Hecke algebras and are related to categorical braid group actions. We prove that the primitive spectrum is always described by one of th…
I present a construction of connected affine algebraic supergroups G_V associated with simple Lie superalgebras g of Cartan type and with g-modules V. Conversely, I prove that every connected affine algebraic supergroup whose tangent Lie superalgebra is of Cartan type is necessarily isomorphic to one of the supergroups G_V that I introduced. In particular, the supergroup constructed in this way associated with g := W(n) and its standard representation is described somewhat more in detail. In addition, *** an "Erratum" is added here *** after the main text to fix a mistake which was kindly poin…
