We prove the compatibility of the local and global Langlands correspondences at places dividing l for the l-adic Galois representations associated to regular algebraic conjugate self-dual cuspidal automorphic representations of GL_n over an imaginary CM field, under the assumption that the automorphic representations have Iwahori-fixed vectors at places dividing l and have Shin-regular weight.
We prove some new cases of local--global compatibility for the Galois representations associated to Hilbert modular forms of low weight (that is, partial weight one).
We prove the compatibility at places dividing l of the local and global Langlands correspondences for the l-adic Galois representations associated to regular algebraic essentially (conjugate) self-dual cuspidal automorphic representations of GL_n over an imaginary CM or totally real field. We prove this compatibility up to semisimplification in all cases, and up to Frobenius semisimplification in the case of Shin-regular weight.
We generalize the local-global compatibility result in arXiv:1506.04022 to higher dimensional cases, by examining the relation between Scholze's functor and cohomology of Kottwitz-Harris-Taylor type Shimura varieties. Along the way we prove a cuspidality criterion from type theory. We also deal with compatibility for torsion classes in the case of semisimple mod $p$ Galois representations with distinct irreducible components under certain flatness hypotheses.
Let $F_{\wp}$ be a finite extension of $\mathbb{Q}_p$. By considering partially de Rham families, we establish a Colmez-Greenberg-Stevens formula (on Fontaine-Mazur $\mathcal{L}$-invariants) for (general) $2$-dimensional semi-stable non-crystalline $\mathrm{Gal}(\overline{\mathbb{Q}_p}/F_{\wp})$-representations. As an application, we prove local-global compatibility results for completed cohomology of quaternion Shimura curves, and in particular the equality of Fontaine-Mazur $\mathcal{L}$-invariants and Breuil's $\mathcal{L}$-invariants, in critical case.
We prove that certain Galois-isotypic parts of the completed cohomology group for U(2) can be written as a completed tensor product of a representation coming from the p-adic Langlands correspondence for $GL_2(\mathbb{Q}_p)$ and a representation arising via the local Langlands correspondence in famillies of Emerton and Helm.
Compatibility of local and global Langlands correspondences
We prove the compatibility of local and global Langlands correspondences for $GL_n$ up to semisimplification for the Galois representations constructed by Harris-Lan-Taylor-Thorne and Scholze. More precisely, let $r_p(π)$ denote an $n$-dimensional $p$-adic representation of the Galois group of a CM field $F$ attached to a regular algebraic cuspidal automorphic representation $π$ of $GL_n(\mathbb{A}_F)$. We show that the restriction of $r_p(π)$ to the decomposition group of a place $v\nmid p$ of $F$ corresponds up to semisimplification to $rec(π_v)$, the image of $π_v$ under the local Langlands…
Let $F$ be a totally real number field, $\wp$ a place of $F$ above $p$. Let $ρ$ be a $2$-dimensional $p$-adic representation of $\mathrm{Gal}(\bar{F}/F)$ which appears in the étale cohomology of quaternion Shimura curves (thus $ρ$ is associated to Hilbert eigenforms). When the restriction $ρ_{\wp}:=ρ|_{D_{\wp}}$ at the decomposition group of $\wp$ is semi-stable non-crystalline, one can associate to $ρ_{\wp}$ the so-called Fontaine-Mazur $\mathcal{L}$-invariants, which are however invisible in the classical local Langlands correspondence. In this paper, we prove one can find these $\mathcal{L}…
We strengthen the compatibility between local and global Langlands correspondences for GL_{n} when n is even and l=p. Let L be a CM field and Π a cuspidal automorphic representation of GL_{n}(\mathbb{A}_{L}) which is conjugate self-dual and regular algebraic. In this case, there is an l-adic Galois representation associated to Π, which is known to be compatible with local Langlands in almost all cases when l=p by recent work of Barnet-Lamb, Gee, Geraghty and Taylor. The compatibility was proved only up to semisimplification unless Π has Shin-regular weight. We extend the compatibility to Frobe…
We remove the semisimple condition in the mod-$p$ local-global compatibility result of arXiv:2106.10674. Namely, assuming flatness of $π_{\mathfrak{m}}^\vee$ and $\overlineσ_{\mathfrak{m}}|_{\mathrm{Gal}_{F^+_{\mathfrak{p}}}}$ being multiplicity free, we prove that $H^{n-1}_{\text{ét}}(\mathbb{P}_{\mathbb{C}_p}^{n-1}, \mathcal{F}_{π_{\mathfrak{m}}[\mathfrak{m}]})$ determines $\overlineσ_{\mathfrak{m}}|_{\mathrm{Gal}_{F^+_{\mathfrak{p}}}}$ uniquely. We give remarks on our assumptions at the end of this note.
We introduce a general formalism with minimal requirements under which we are able to prove the pro-modular Fontaine-Mazur conjecture. We verify it in the ordinary case using the recent construction of Breuil and Herzig.
Inspired by Emerton's work for GL(2), we study the completed cohomology of the tower of finite sets associated with a definite unitary group in two variables. When p splits (and other technical assumptions are fulfilled), we show that the p-adic local Langlands correspondence for GL(2) (over Q_p) occurs in the cohomology. We give an application to the Fontaine-Mazur conjecture over CM fields.
Suppose that F/F+ is a CM extension of number fields in which the prime p splits completely and every other prime is unramified. Fix a place w|p of F. Suppose that rbar : Gal(F-bar/F) -> GL_3(Fp-bar) is a continuous irreducible Galois representation such that rbar|_{Gal(F_w-bar/F_w)} is upper-triangular, maximally non-split, and generic. If rbar is automorphic, and some suitable technical conditions hold, we show that rbar|_{\Gal(F_w-bar/F_w)} can be recovered from the GL_3(F_w)-action on a space of mod p automorphic forms on a compact unitary group. On the way we prove results about weights i…
We strengthen the local-global compatibility of Langlands correspondences for $GL_{n}$ in the case when $n$ is even and $l\not=p$. Let $L$ be a CM field and $Π$ be a cuspidal automorphic representation of $GL_{n}(\mathbb{A}_{L})$ which is conjugate self-dual. Assume that $Π_{\infty}$ is cohomological and not "slightly regular", as defined by Shin. In this case, Chenevier and Harris constructed an $l$-adic Galois representation $R_{l}(Π)$ and proved the local-global compatibility up to semisimplification at primes $v$ not dividing $l$. We extend this compatibility by showing that the Frobenius …
Sur la compatibilite entre les correspondances de Langlands locale et globale pour U(3). (On the compatibility between local and global Langlands correspondances for U(3))
Let $p$ be a prime number, $n>2$ an integer, and $F$ a CM field in which $p$ splits completely. Assume that a continuous automorphic Galois representation $\overline{r}:\mathrm{Gal}(\overline{\mathbf{Q}}/F)\rightarrow\mathrm{GL}_n(\overline{\mathbf{F}}_p)$ is upper-triangular and satisfies certain genericity conditions at a place $w$ above $p$, and that every subquotient of $\overline{r}|_{\mathrm{Gal}(\overline{\mathbf{Q}}_p/F_w)}$ of dimension $>2$ is Fontaine--Laffaille generic. In this paper, we show that the isomorphism class of $\overline{r}|_{\mathrm{Gal}(\overline{\mathbf{Q}}_p/F_w)}$ …
Let $ρ_p$ be a $3$-dimensional $p$-adic semi-stable representation of $\mathrm{Gal}(\overline{\mathbb{Q}_p}/\mathbb{Q}_p)$ with Hodge-Tate weights $(0,1,2)$ (up to shift) and such that $N^2\ne 0$ on $D_{\mathrm{st}}(ρ_p)$. When $ρ_p$ comes from an automorphic representation $π$ of $G(\mathbb{A}_{F^+})$ (for a unitary group $G$ over a totally real field $F^+$ which is compact at infinite places and $\mathrm{GL}_3$ at $p$-adic places), we show under mild genericity assumptions that the associated Hecke-isotypic subspaces of the Banach spaces of $p$-adic automorphic forms on $G(\mathbb{A}_{F^+}^\…
We discuss progress towards the classification of irreducible admissible representations of reductive groups over non-archimedean local fields and the local Langlands correspondence. We also state some (partly conjectural) compatibility properties of the refined local Langlands correspondence.
We prove a finiteness result for the p-adic cohomology of the Lubin-Tate tower. For any n>=1 and p-adic field F, this provides a canonical functor from admissible p-adic representations of GL_n(F) towards admissible p-adic representations of Gal_F x D^*, where Gal_F is the absolute Galois group of F, and D/F is the central division algebra of invariant 1/n. Moreover, we verify a local-global-compatibility statement for this correspondence, and compatibility with the patching construction of Caraiani-Emerton-Gee-Geraghty-Paskunas-Shin.
We prove that the conjectural depth zero local Langlands correspondence of DeBacker/Reeder agrees with the depth zero local Langlands correspondence as described by Moy, for the group $GL(\ell,F)$, where $\ell$ is prime and F is a local non-archimedean field of characteristic 0. We also prove that if one assumes a certain compatibility condition between Adler's and Howe's construction of supercuspidal representations, then the conjectural positive depth local Langlands correspondence of Reeder also agrees with the positive depth local Langlands correspondence as described by Moy, for $GL(\ell,…
We give a proof of the Breuil-Schneider conjecture in a large number of cases, which complement the indecomposable case, which we dealt with earlier in [Sor]. In some sense, only the Steinberg representation lies at the intersection of the two approaches. In this paper, we view the conjecture from a broader global perspective. If $U_{/F}$ is any definite unitary group, which is an inner form of $\GL(n)$ over $\K$, we point out how the eigenvariety $\X(K^p)$ parametrizes a global $p$-adic Langlands correspondence between certain $n$-dimensional $p$-adic semisimple representations $ρ$ of $\Gal(\…
