We have considered that the universe is the inhomogeneous $(n+2)$ dimensional quasi-spherical Szekeres space-time model. We consider the universe as a thermodynamical system with the horizon surface as a boundary of the system. To study the generalized second law (GSL) of thermodynamics through the universe, we have assumed the trapped surface is the apparent horizon. Next we have examined the validity of the generalized second law of thermodynamics (GSL) on the apparent horizon by two approaches: (i) using first law of thermodynamics on the apparent horizon and (ii) without using the first law. In the first approach, the horizon entropy have been calculated by the first law. In the second approach, first we have calculated the surface gravity and temperature on the apparent horizon and then horizon entropy have found from area formula. The variation of internal entropy have been found by Gibb's law. Using these two approaches separately, we find the conditions for validity of GSL in $(n+2)$ dimensional quasi-spherical Szekeres model.
We examine the spatial extrema (local maxima, minima and saddle points) of the covariant scalars (density, Hubble expansion, spatial curvature and eigenvalues of the shear and electric Weyl tensors) of the quasi-spherical Szekeres dust models. Sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence of distributions of multiple extrema in spatial comoving locations that can be prescribed through initial conditions. These distributions evolve without shell crossing singularities at least for ever expanding models (with or without cosmological constant) in the full evolution range where the models a…
We investigate the occurrence of shell crossing singularities in quasi-spherical Szekeres dust models with or without a cosmological constant. We study the conditions for shell crossing singularity both from physical and geometrical point of view and they are in agreement.
The quasi-spherical Szekeres dust solutions are a generalization of the spherically symmetric Lemaitre-Tolman-Bondi dust models where the spherical shells of constant mass are non-concentric. The quasi-spherical Szekeres dust solutions can be considered as cosmological models and are potentially models for the formation of primordial black holes in the early universe. Any collapsing quasi-spherical Szekeres dust solution where an apparent horizon covers all shell-crossings that will occur can be considered as a model for the formation of a black hole. In this paper we will show that the appare…
We study the differences and equivalences between the non-perturbative description of the evolution of cosmic structure furnished by the Szekeres dust models (a non-spherical exact solution of Einstein's equations) and the dynamics of Cosmological Perturbation Theory (CPT) for dust sources in a $Λ$CDM background. We show how the dynamics of Szekeres models can be described by evolution equations given in terms of "exact fluctuations" that identically reduce (at all orders) to evolution equations of CPT in the comoving isochronous gauge. We explicitly show how Szekeres linearised exact fluctuat…
The spherically symmetric dust model of Lemaitre-Tolman can describe wormholes, but the causal communication between the two asymptotic regions through the neck is even less than in the vacuum (Schwarzschild-Kruskal-Szekeres) case. We investigate the anisotropic generalisation of the wormhole topology in the Szekeres model. The function E(r, p, q) describes the deviation from spherical symmetry if \partial_r E \neq 0, but this requires the mass to be increasing with radius, \partial_r M > 0, i.e. non-zero density. We investigate the geometrical relations between the mass dipole and the locii o…
Models of inhomogeneous universes constructed with exact solutions of Einstein's General Relativity have been proposed in the literature with the aim of reproducing the cosmological data without any need for a dark energy component. Besides large scale inhomogeneity models spherically symmetric around the observer, Swiss-cheese models have also been studied. Among them, Swiss-cheeses where the inhomogeneous patches are modeled by different particular Szekeres solutions have been used for reproducing the apparent dimming of the type Ia supernovae (SNIa). However, the problem of fitting such mod…
The notion of an apparent horizon (AH) in a collapsing object can be carried over from the Lema\^ıtre -- Tolman (L--T) to the quasispherical Szekeres models in three ways: 1. Literally by the definition -- the AH is the boundary of the region, in which every bundle of null geodesics has negative expansion scalar. 2. As the locus, at which null lines that are as nearly radial as possible are turned toward decreasing areal radius $R$. These lines are in general nongeodesic. The name "absolute apparent horizon" (AAH) is proposed for this locus. 3. As the boundary of a region, where null \textit{g…
A family of parabolic Szekeres-Szafron class II solutions in local thermal equilibrium is studied and their associated thermodynamics are obtained. The subfamily with the hydrodynamic behavior of a generic ideal gas (defined by the equation of state $p = k n Θ$) results to be an inhomogeneous generalization of flat FLRW $γ$-law models. Three significative interpretations that follow on from the choice of three specific thermodynamic schemes are analyzed in depth. First, the generic ideal gas in local thermal equilibrium; this interpretation leads to an inhomogeneous temperature $Θ$. Second, th…
We obtain an elegant and useful description of the dynamics of Szekeres dust models (in their full generality) by means of `quasi-local' scalar variables constructed by suitable integral distributions that can be interpreted as weighed proper volume averages of the local covariant scalars. In terms of these variables, the field equations and basic physical and geometric quantities are formally identical to their corresponding expressions in the spherically symmetric LTB dust models. Since we can map every Szekeres model to a unique LTB model, rigorous results valid for the latter models can be…
Geometric properties of the quasi-hyperbolic Szekeres models are discussed and related to the quasi-spherical Szekeres models. Typical examples of shapes of various classes of 2-dimensional coordinate surfaces are shown in graphs; for the hyperbolically symmetric subcase and for the general quasi-hyperbolic case. An analysis of the mass function $M(z)$ is carried out in parallel to an analogous analysis for the quasi-spherical models. This leads to the conclusion that $M(z)$ determines the density of rest mass averaged over the whole space of constant time.
In a recent paper (Coll {\em et al} 2019 {\it Class. Quantum Grav.} {\bf 36} 175004) we have studied a family of Szekeres-Szafron solutions of class II in local thermal equilibrium (singular models). In this paper we deal with a similar study for all other class II Szekeres-Szafron solutions without symmetries. These models in local thermal equilibrium (regular models) are analyzed and their associated thermodynamic schemes are obtained. In particular, we focus on the subfamily of solutions which are compatible with the generic ideal gas equation of state ($p = \tilde{k} n Θ$), and we analyze …
In Lema\^ıtre -- Tolman (L--T) models, light rays emitted \textit{radially} at the Big Bang (BB) at such radial coordinates $r$ where the bang-time function $t_B(r)$ has $\dril {t_B} r \neq 0$ reach every observer with \textit{infinite blueshift}, $z = -1$. Consequently, there exist rays, emitted soon after the BB, that will reach later observers with finite blueshift ($-1 < z < 0$). But in spacetimes without symmetry there are no radial directions. The question thus arises whether blueshifts can exist at all in the Szekeres models that contain L--T as a limit, but in general have no symmetry.…
In previous papers it was shown that in a quasi-spherical Szekeres (QSS) metric, impulses of gamma radiation can arise that have several properties in common with the observed gamma-ray bursts. This happens when the bang-time function $t_B(r)$ has a gate-shaped hump around the origin of the QSS region. The gamma rays arise along two preferred directions of the QSS geometry (coincident with dipole extrema when axially symmetric, otherwise unrelated). In these directions, the rays of the relic radiation are blueshifted rather than redshifted. The blueshift is generated in a thin region between t…
In previous papers it was shown that gamma rays with characteristics similar to those of the gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) observed by astronomers may arise from suitably shaped nonuniformities in the Big Bang in a quasi-spherical Szekeres (QSS) model. The gamma radiation arises by blueshifting the light emitted by hydrogen atoms at the end of the last scattering epoch along preferred directions that exist in QSS models. However, the durations of the gamma flashes and of their afterglows implied by the model were much longer than those of the observed GRBs. In this paper it is shown that for the gam…
We study the properties and behaviour of the quasi-pseudospherical and quasi-planar Szekeres models, obtain the regularity conditions, and analyse their consequences. The quantities associated with "radius" and "mass" in the quasi-spherical case must be understood in a different way for these cases. The models with pseudospherical foliation can have spatial maxima and minima, but no origins. The "mass" and "radius" functions may be one increasing and one decreasing without causing shell crossings. This case most naturally describes a snake-like, variable density void in a more gently varying i…
In this paper we study the quasi-spherical gravitational collapse of (n+2) dimensional Szekeres space-time. The nature of the central shell focusing singularity so formed is analyzed by studying both the radial null and time-like geodesic originated from it. We follow the approach of Barve et al to analyze the null geodesic and find naked singularity in different situations.
The Szekeres metric is an inhomogeneous cosmological model without any symmetries. The standard Riemann-type coordinates can be transformed into spherical-type coordinates, but the metric is no longer diagonal, and the constant "radius" 2-spheres, 2-hyperboloids or 2-planes are known to be "non-concentric". Since the transformation into spherical-type coordinates is "radius" dependent, we question whether these coordinates have the same orientation on each 2-surface. To answer this question, we set up an orthonormal tetrad (ONT), and investigate its variation. We find that a relative rotation …
It is shown that inhomogeneous Szekeres and Stephani universes exist corresponding to non-dissipative binary mixtures of perfect fluids in local thermal equilibrium. This result contradicts a recent statement by Zárate and Quevedo (2004 Class. Quantum Grav. {\bf 21} 197, {\it Preprint} gr-qc/0310087), which affirms that the only Szekeres and Stephani universes compatible with these fluids are the homogeneous Friedmann-Robertson-Walker models. Thus, contrarily to their conclusion, their thermodynamic scheme do not gives new indications of incompatibility between thermodynamics and relativity. T…
The visibility of the shell-focusing singularity in Szekeres space-time - which represents quasi-spherical dust collapse - has been studied on numerous occasions in the context of the cosmic censorship conjecture. The various results derived have assumed that there exist radial null geodesics in the space-time. We show that such geodesics do not exist in general, and so previous results on the visibility of the singularity are not generally valid. More precisely, we show that the existence of a radial geodesic in Szekeres space-time implies that the space-time is axially symmetric, with the ge…
We solve for all Szekeres metrics that have a single Killing vector. For quasi hyperboloidal ($ε= -1$) metrics, we find that translational symmetries are possible, but only in metrics that have shell crossings somewhere, while metrics that can be made free of shell crossings only permit rotations. The quasi planar metrics ($ε= 0$) either have no Killing vectors or they admit full planar symmetry. Single symmetries in quasi spherical metrics ($ε= +1$) are all rotations. The rotations correspond to a known family of axially symmetric metrics, which for each $ε$ value, are equivalent to each othe…
Recent work on the Szekeres inhomogeneous cosmological models uncovered a surprising rotation effect. Hellaby showed that the angular $(θ, ϕ)$ coordinates do not have a constant orientation, while Buckley and Schlegel provided explicit expressions for the rate of rotation from shell to shell, as well as the rate of tilt when the 3-space is embedded in a flat 4-d Euclidean space. We here investigate some properties of this embedding, for the quasi-spherical recollapsing case, and use it to show that the two sets of results are in complete agreement. We also show how to construct Szekeres models…
The generalized Szekeres family of solution for quasi-spherical space-time of higher dimensions are obtained in the scalar tensor theory of gravitation. Brans-Dicke field equations expressed in Dicke's revised units are exhaustively solved for all the subfamilies of the said family. A particular group of solutions may also be interpreted as due to the presence of the so-called C-field of Hoyle and Narlikar and for a chosen sign of the coupling parameter. The models show either expansion from a big bang type of singularity or a collapse with the turning point at a lower bound. There is one part…
We analyze here the issue of local versus the global visibility of a singularity that forms in gravitational collapse of a dust cloud, which has important implications for the weak and strong versions of the cosmic censorship hypothesis. We find conditions as to when a singularity will be only locally naked, rather than being globally visible, thus preseving the weak censorship hypothesis. The conditions for formation of a black hole or naked singularity in the Szekeres quasi-spherical collapse models are worked out. The causal behaviour of the singularity curve is studied by examining the out…
We examine the consistency of the thermodynamics of irrotational and non-isentropic perfect fluids complying with matter conservation by looking at the integrability conditions of the Gibbs-Duhem relation. We show that the latter is always integrable for fluids of the following types: (a) static, (b) isentropic (admits a barotropic equation of state), (c) the source of a spacetime for which $r\ge 2$, where $r$ is the dimension of the orbit of the isometry group. This consistency scheme is tested also in two large classes of known exact solutions for which $r< 2$, in general: perfect fluid Szek…
We study quasi-spherical Szekeres space-time (which possess no killing vectors) for perfect fluid, matter with tangential stress only and matter with anisotropic pressure respectively. In the first two cases cosmological solutions have been obtained and their asymptotic behaviour have been examined while for anisotropic pressure, gravitational collapse has been studied and the role of the pressure has been discussed.
We study gravitational collapse in higher dimensional quasi-spherical Szekeres space-time for matter with anisotropic pressure. Both local and global visibility of central curvature singularity has been studied and it is found that with proper choice of initial data it is possible to show the validity of CCC for six and higher dimensions. Also the role of pressure in the collapsing process has been discussed.
We study the gravitational collapse in ($n+2$)-D quasi-spherical Szekeres space-time (which possess no killing vectors) with dust as the matter distribution. Instead of choosing the radial coordinate `$r$' as the initial value for the scale factor $R$, we consider a power function of $r$ as the initial scale for the radius $R$. We examine the influence of initial data on the formation of singularity in gravitational collapse.
In this work the junction conditions between the exterior Reissner-Nordstrom-Vaidya space-time with the interior quasi-spherical Szekeres space-time have been studied for analyzing gravitational collapse in the presence of a magneto-hydrodynamic fluid undergoing dissipation in the form of heat flow. We have discussed about the apparent horizon and have evaluated the time difference between the formation of apparent horizon and central singularity.
Probes of cosmic expansion constitute the main basis for arguments to support or refute a possible apparent acceleration due to different expansion rates in the universe as described by inhomogeneous cosmological models. We present in this Letter a separate argument based on results from an analysis of the growth rate of large-scale structure in the universe as modeled by the inhomogeneous cosmological models of Szekeres. We use the models with no assumptions of spherical or axial symmetries. We find that while the Szekeres models can fit very well the observed expansion history without a $Λ$,…
We study the occurrence and nature of naked singularities for a dust model with non-zero cosmological constant in ($n+2$)-dimensional Szekeres space-times (which possess no Killing vectors) for $n\geq 2$. We find that central shell-focusing singularities may be locally naked in higher dimensions but depend sensitively on the choice of initial data. In fact, the nature of the initial density determines the possibility of naked singularity in space-times with more than five dimensions. The results are similar to the collapse in spherically symmetric Tolman-Bondi-Lema\^ıtre space-times.
The dynamics of general Lovelock gravity, viewed on an arbitrary spherically symmetric surface as a holographic screen, is recast as the form of some generalized first law of thermodynamics on the screen. From this observation together with other two distinct aspects, where exactly the same temperature and entropy on the screen arise, it is argued that the thermodynamic interpretation of gravity is physically meaningful not only on the horizon, but also on a general spherically symmetric screen.
A static spherically symmetric solution is obtained and examined in the framework of Einstein-power-Yang-Mills-dilaton theory. To derive this exact solution a dilaton potential $V(Φ)$ is taken into account. Thermodynamics of the black hole is also studied, namely we have obtained and investigated the temperature and heat capacity of the black hole which has allowed us characterize the stability of the black hole. Using the framework of the extended thermodynamic phase space we have derived the equation of state for the black hole. We have studied the Gibbs free energy of the black hole, which …
There is an intriguing analogy between the gravitational dynamics of the horizons and thermodynamics. In case of general relativity, as well as for a wider class of Lanczos-Lovelock theories of gravity, it is possible to interpret the field equations near any spherically symmetric horizon as a thermodynamic identity TdS = dE + PdV. We study this approach further and generalize the results to two more generic cases within the context of general relativity: (i) stationary axis-symmetric horizons and (ii) time dependent evolving horizons. In both the cases, the near horizon structure of Einstein …
We present a derivation of Hawking radiation through tunneling mechanism for a general class of asymptotically flat, spherically symmetric spacetimes. The tunneling rate $Γ\sim \exp{(ΔS)}$ arises as a consequence of the first law of thermodynamics, TdS=dE + PdV. Therefore, this approach demonstrates how tunneling is intimately connected with the first law of thermodynamics through the principle of conservation of energy. The analysis is also generally applicable to any reasonable theory of gravity so long as the first law of thermodynamics for horizons holds in the form, TdS=dE + PdV.
We investigate the conditions under which cosmological variations in physical `constants' and scalar fields are detectable on the surface of local gravitationally-bound systems, such as planets, in non-spherically symmetric background spacetimes. The method of matched asymptotic expansions is used to deal with the large range of length scales that appear in the problem. We derive a sufficient condition for the local time variation of the scalar fields driving variations in 'constants' to track their large-scale cosmological variation and show that this is consistent with our earlier conjecture…
We aim to study the thermodynamic properties of the spherically symmetric reference frames with uniform acceleration, including the spherically symmetric generalization of Rindler reference frame and the new kind of uniformly accelerated reference frame. We find that, unlike the general studies about the horizon thermodynamics, one cannot obtain the laws of thermodynamics for their horizons in the usual approaches, despite that one can formally define an area entropy (Bekenstein-Hawking entropy). In fact, the common horizon for a set of uniformly accelerated observers is not always exist, even…
The restrictions on the Rastall theory due to apply the Newtonian limit to the theory are derived. In addition, we use the zero-zero component of the Rastall field equations as well as the unified first law of thermodynamics to find the Misner-Sharp mass content confined to the event horizon of the spherically symmetric static spacetimes in the Rastall framework. The obtained relation is calculated for the Schwarzschild and de-Sitter back holes as two examples. Bearing the obtained relation for the Misner-Sharp mass in mind together with recasting the one-one component of the Rastall field equ…
In this work a static spherically symmetric black hole's solution within the Einstein-Maxwell-Yang-Mills-dilaton theory is derived. The obtained solution is examined, in particular, we have calculated the Kretschmann scalar which allowed us to characterize singularity points. Using the obtained black hole's solution we have studied its thermodynamics. Namely, the temperature was calculated, the first law was written, and the heat capacity was studied. The extended thermodynamics approach is utilized to obtain the equation of state. Within the extended thermodynamics the Gibbs free energy is de…
Schwarzschild black holes in a de Sitter background were studied in terms of their thermodynamics based on the Rényi statistics. This led to thermodynamically stable black hole configurations for some certain range of black hole radii; namely within this range the corresponding black holes have positive heat capacity. Moreover, for a certain background temperature there can exist at most three configurations of black hole; one among which is thermodynamically stable. These configurations were investigated in terms of their free energies, resulting in the moderate-sized stable black hole config…
The choice of the area operator in loop quantum gravity is by no means unique. In addition to the area operator commonly used in loop quantum gravity there is also an area operator introduced by Krasnov in 1998, which gives uniformly spaced area spectra for the horizons of spacetime. Using Krasnov's area operator we consider the thermodynamics of spherically symmetric spacetimes equipped with horizons in loop quantum gravity. Among other things, our approach implies, in a pretty simple manner, that every horizon of spacetime emits thermal radiation and possesses emtropy which, in the natural u…
Bearing the thermodynamic arguments together with the two definitions of mass in mind, we try to find metrics with spherical symmetry. We consider the adiabatic condition along with the Gong-Wang mass, and evaluate the $g_{rr}$ element which points to a null hypersurface. In addition, we generalize the thermodynamics laws to this hypersurface to find its temperature and thus the corresponding surface gravity which enables us to get a relation for the $g_{tt}$ element. Moreover, we investigate the mathematical and physical properties of the discovered metric in the Einstein relativity framework…
We explore the relationship between the first law of thermodynamics and gravitational field equation at a static, spherically symmetric black hole horizon in Hořava-Lifshtiz theory with/without detailed balance. It turns out that as in the cases of Einstein gravity and Lovelock gravity, the gravitational field equation can be cast to a form of the first law of thermodynamics at the black hole horizon. This way we obtain the expressions for entropy and mass in terms of black hole horizon, consistent with those from other approaches. We also define a generalized Misner-Sharp energy for static, s…
We examine the gravitational collapse and black hole formation of multiple non--spherical configurations constructed from Szekeres dust models with positive spatial curvature that smoothly match to a Schwarzschild exterior. These configurations are made of an almost spherical central core region surrounded by a network of "pancake-like" overdensities and voids with spatial positions prescribed through standard initial conditions. We show that a full collapse into a focusing singularity, without shell crossings appearing before the formation of an apparent horizon, is not possible unless the fu…
We study the thermodynamic properties of a static electrically charged spherical thin shell in $d$ dimensions by imposing the first law of thermodynamics on the shell. The shell is at radius $R$, inside it the spacetime is Minkowski, and outside it the spacetime is Reissner-Nordström. We obtain that the shell thermodynamics is fully described by giving two additional reduced equations of state, one for the temperature and another for the electrostatic potential. We choose the equation of state for the temperature as a power law in the gravitational radius $r_+$ with exponent $a$, such that the…
The holographic entanglement entropy is studied numerically in (4+1)-dimensional spherically symmetric Gauss-Bonnet AdS black hole spacetime with compact boundary. On the bulk side the black hole spacetime undergoes a van der Waals-like phase transition in the extended phase space, which is reviewed with emphasis on the behavior on the temperature-entropy plane. On the boundary, we calculated the regularized HEE of a disk region of different sizes. We find strong numerical evidence for the failure of equal area law for isobaric curves on the temperature-HEE plane and for the correctness of fir…
An overview of some recent developments in inhomogeneous models is presented. As the volume and precision of cosmological data improves, it will become more and more essential to understand the non-linear behaviour of the Einstein field equations. This requires the study of exact inhomogeneous solutions, including their density distributions, their evolution, their geometry, and their causal structure. Observations are strongly affected by the detailed geometry and evolution of a model, and therefore interpretation of observations depends on understanding them. It is generally assumed the univ…
We present a new family of topological charged hairy black hole solutions in asymptotically AdS space in $D$-dimensions. We solve the coupled Einstein-Maxwell-Scalar gravity system and obtain exact charged hairy black hole solutions with planar, spherical and hyperbolic horizon topologies. The scalar field is regular everywhere. We discuss the thermodynamics of the hairy black hole and find drastic changes in its thermodynamic structure due to the scalar field. For the case of planar and spherical horizons, we find charged hairy/RN-AdS black hole phase transition, with thermodynamically prefer…
We apply thermodynamics method to generate exact solution with maximum symmetric surface for Einstein equation without solving it. The exact solutions are identified with which people have solved before. The horizons structure of solutions are discussed in different situation. These results suggest that plane,spherical,pseudo-spherical symmetric spacetime form a family of solutions, and this relationship can also be extended to Kerr spacetime and Taub-NUT spacetime. It sheds light on exploring more general definition of Misner-Sharp mass.
The Hamiltonian thermodynamics formalism is applied to the general $d$-dimensional Reissner-Nordström-anti-de Sitter black hole with spherical, planar, and hyperbolic horizon topology. After writing its action and performing a Legendre transformation, surface terms are added in order to guarantee a well defined variational principle with which to obtain sensible equations of motion, and also to allow later on the thermodynamical analysis. Then a Kuchař canonical transformation is done, which changes from the metric canonical coordinates to the physical parameters coordinates. Again a well defi…
A general formalism for understanding the thermodynamics of horizons in spherically symmetric spacetimes is developed. The formalism reproduces known results in the case of black hole spacetimes. But its power lies in being able to handle more general situations like: (i) spacetimes which are not asymptotically flat (like the de Sitter spacetime) and (ii) spacetimes with multiple horizons having different temperatures (like the Schwarzschild-de Sitter spacetime) and provide a consistent interpretation for temperature, entropy and energy. I show that it is possible to write Einstein's equations…
Recently Verlinde has suggested a new approach to gravity which interprets gravitational interaction as a kind of entropic force. The new approach uses the holographic principle by stating that the information is kept on the holographic screens which coincide with equipotential surfaces. Motivated by this new interpretation of gravity (but not being limited by it) we study equipotential surfaces, the Unruh-Verlinde temperature, energy and acceleration for various static space-times: generic spherically symmetric solutions, axially symmetric black holes immersed in a magnetic field, traversable…
By following the spirit of Verlinde's entropic force proposal arXiv:1001.0785, we give the differential and integral form of the first law of thermodynamics on the holographic screen enclosing a spherical symmetric black hole. It is consistent with equipartition principle and the form of Komar mass. The entropy of the holographic screen determines its area, i. e. $S=\frac{A}{4}$. And then we express the metric by thermodynamic variables, to give an illustration of how the space is foliated by the thermodynamical potentials.
We consider whether the new horizon-first law works in higher-dimensional $f(R)$ theory. We firstly obtain the general formulas to calculate the entropy and the energy of a general spherically-symmetric black hole in $D$-dimensional $f(R)$ theory. For applications, we compute the entropies and the energies of some black hokes in some interesting higher-dimensional $f(R)$ theories.
We show, in detail, that the only non-trivial black hole (BH) solutions for a neutral as well as a charged spherically symmetric space-times, using the class ${\textit F(R)}={\textit R}\pm{\textit F_1 (R)} $, must-have metric potentials in the form $h(r)=\frac{1}{2}-\frac{2M}{r}$ and $h(r)=\frac{1}{2}-\frac{2M}{r}+\frac{q^2}{r^2}$. These BHs have a non-trivial form of Ricci scalar, i.e., $R=\frac{1}{r^2}$ and the form of ${\textit F_1 (R)}=\mp\frac{\sqrt{\textit R}} {3M} $. We repeat the same procedure for (Anti-)de Sitter, (A)dS, space-time and got the metric potentials of neutral as well as …

We study the thermodynamic behavior of static and spherically symmetric hairy black holes in massive gravity. In this case, the black hole is surrounded in a spherical cavity with a fixed temperature on the surface. It is observed that these black holes have a phase transition similar to the liquid-gas phase transition of a Van der Waals fluid. Also, by treating the cosmological constant $Λ$ as a thermodynamic pressure $P$, we study the thermodynamic behavior of charged anti-de Sitter black holes in an ensemble with a pressure of $P$ and an electric potential $Φ$ as the natural variables. A se…
