Baxter's Q-operator is generally believed to be the most powerful tool for the exact diagonalization of integrable models. Curiously, it has hitherto not yet been properly constructed in the simplest such system, the compact spin-1/2 Heisenberg-Bethe XXX spin chain. Here we attempt to fill this gap and show how two linearly independent operatorial solutions to Baxter's TQ equation may be constructed as commuting transfer matrices if a twist field is present. The latter are obtained by tracing over infinitely many oscillator states living in the auxiliary channel of an associated monodromy matrix. We furthermore compare and differentiate our approach to earlier articles addressing the problem of the construction of the Q-operator for the XXX chain. Finally we speculate on the importance of Q-operators for the physical interpretation of recent proposals for the Y-system of AdS/CFT.
In this note we construct Q-operators for the spin s open Heisenberg XXX chain with diagonal boundaries in the framework of the quantum inverse scattering method. Following the algebraic Bethe ansatz we diagonalise the introduced Q-operators using the fundamental commutation relations. By acting on Bethe off-shell states and explicitly evaluating the trace in the auxiliary space we compute the eigenvalues of the Q-operators in terms of Bethe roots and show that the unwanted terms vanish if the Bethe equations are satisfied.
The Master T-Operator for Inhomogeneous XXX Spin Chain and mKP Hierarchy
在[Alexandrov A.,Kazakov V.,Leurent S.,坪井Z Zabrodin A.,J.
In this paper we propose a method based on the algebraic Bethe ansatz leading to explicit results for the form factors of quantum spin chains in the thermodynamic limit. Starting from the determinant representations we retrieve in particular the formula for the two-spinon form factors for the isotropic XXX Heisenberg chain obtained initially in the framework of the $q$-vertex operator approach.
Using the fermionic basis we obtain the expectation values of all $\slt$-invariant and $C$-invariant local operators on 10 sites for the anisotropic six-vertex model on a cylinder with generic Matsubara data. This is equivalent to the generalised Gibbs ensemble for the XXX spin chain. In the case when the $\slt$ and $C$ symmetries are not broken this computation is equivalent to finding the entire density matrix up to 10 sites. As application, we compute the entanglement entropy without and with temperature, and compare the results with CFT predictions.
We explain a new method for finding the correlation functions for the XXX model which is based on the concepts of Operator Product Expansion of Quantum Field Theory on one hand and of fermionic bases for the XXX spin chain on the other. With this method we are able to perform computations for up to 11 lattice sites. We show that these "experimental" data allow to guess exact formulae for the OPE coefficients.
In this paper we show that the operator introduced by A. A. Tsvetkov enjoys all the needed properties of a Q-operator. It is shown that the Q-operator of the XXX spin chain with generic values of spin turns into Tsvetkov's operator in the continuum limit for large spin.
In \cite{Chen:2016fgi} we proposed a differential operator for the evaluation of the multi-dimensional residues on isolated (zero-dimensional) poles. In this paper we discuss some new insight on evaluating the (generalized) Cachazo-He-Yuan (CHY) forms of the scattering amplitudes using this differential operator. We introduce a tableau representation for the coefficients appearing in the proposed differential operator. Combining the tableaux with the polynomial forms of the scattering equations, the evaluation of the generalized CHY form becomes a simple combinatoric problem. It is thus possibl…
We explain how to compute correlation functions at zero temperature within the framework of the quantum version of the Separation of Variables (SoV) in the case of a simple model: the XXX Heisenberg chain of spin 1/2 with twisted (quasi-periodic) boundary conditions. We first detail all steps of our method in the case of anti-periodic boundary conditions. The model can be solved in the SoV framework by introducing inhomogeneity parameters. The action of local operators on the eigenstates are then naturally expressed in terms of multiple sums over these inhomogeneity parameters. We explain how …
Recent work has established a uniform characterization of most 6D SCFTs in terms of generalized quivers with conformal matter. Compactification of the partial tensor branch deformation of these theories on a $T^2$ leads to 4D $\mathcal{N} = 2$ SCFTs which are also generalized quivers. Taking products of bifundamental conformal matter operators, we present evidence that there are large R-charge sectors of the theory in which operator mixing is captured by a 1D spin chain Hamiltonian with operator scaling dimensions controlled by a perturbation series in inverse powers of the R-charge. We regula…
We consider asymptotic limits of q-oscillator (or Heisenberg) realizations of Verma modules over the quantum superalgebra $U_{q}(gl(M|N))$, and obtain q-oscillator realizations of the contracted algebras proposed in [arXiv:1205.1471]. Instead of factoring out the invariant subspaces, we make reduction on generators of the q-oscillator algebra, which gives a shortcut to the problem. Based on this result, we obtain explicit q-oscillator representations of a Borel subalgebra of the quantum affine superalgebra $U_{q}(\hat{gl}(M|N))$ for Baxter Q-operators.
We conjecture a new way to construct eigenstates of integrable XXX quantum spin chains with SU(N) symmetry. The states are built by repeatedly acting on the vacuum with a single operator Bgood(u) evaluated at the Bethe roots. Our proposal serves as a compact alternative to the usual nested algebraic Bethe ansatz. Furthermore, the roots of this operator give the separated variables of the model, explicitly generalizing Sklyanin's approach to the SU(N) case. We present many tests of the conjecture and prove it in several special cases. We focus on rational spin chains with fundamental representa…
We calculate exactly the entanglement content of magnon excited states in the integrable spin-1/2 XXX and XXZ chains in the scaling limit. In particular, we show that as far as the number of excited magnons with respect to the size of the system is small one can decompose the entanglement content, in the scaling limit, to the sum of the entanglement of particular excited states of free fermionic or bosonic theories. In addition we conjecture that the entanglement content of the generic translational invariant free fermionic and bosonic Hamiltonians can be also classified, in the scaling limit,…
Since a long-time, the quantum integrable systems have remained an area where modern mathematical methods have given an access to interesting results in the study of physical systems. The exact computations, both numerical and asymptotic, of the correlation function is one of the most important subject of the theory of the quantum integrable models. In this context an approach based on the calculation of form factors has been proved to be a more effective one. In this thesis, we develop a new method based on the algebraic Bethe ansatz for the computation of the form-factors in thermodynamic li…
We introduce a new class of open, translationally invariant spin chains with long-range interactions depending on both spin permutation and (polarized) spin reversal operators, which includes the Haldane-Shastry chain as a particular degenerate case. The new class is characterized by the fact that the Hamiltonian is invariant under "twisted" translations, combining an ordinary translation with a spin flip at one end of the chain. It includes a remarkable model with elliptic spin-spin interactions, smoothly interpolating between the XXX Heisenberg model with anti-periodic boundary conditions an…
We consider the spectrum of anomalous dimensions in planar $\mathcal{N}=4$ supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory and its $\mathcal{N}=1$ super-conformal Leigh-Strassler deformations. The two-loop truncation of the integrable $\mathcal{N}=4$ dilatation operator in the SU$(2)$ sector, which is a next-to-nearest-neighbour deformation of the XXX spin chain, is not strictly integrable at finite coupling and we show that it indeed has Wigner-Dyson level statistics. However, we find that it is only weakly chaotic in the sense that the cross-over to chaotic dynamics is slower than for generic chaotic syste…
