The Rohlin property for automorphisms of the Jiang-Su algebra

For projectionless C*-algebras absorbing the Jiang-Su algebra tensorially, we study a kind of the Rohlin property for autmorphisms. We show that the crossed products obtained by automorphisms with this Rohlin property also absorb the Jiang-Su algebra tensorially under a mild technical condition on the C*-algebras. In particular, for the Jiang-Su algebra we show the uniqueness up to outer conjugacy of the automorphism with this Rohlin property.

A generalization of the Jiang-Su construction

Let $G$ be a countable abelian group. We construct a unital simple projectionless C*-algebra $A$ with a unique tracial state, that satisfies $(K_0(A), [1_A]) \cong (\Z, 1) $, $K_1(A) \cong G$, absorbs the Jiang-Su algebra tensorially, and that is obtained as the inductive limit C*-algebra of a sequence of dimension drop algebras of a specific form. A Rohlin Type Theorem for Automorphisms of Certain Purely Infinite $C^{\ast}$-Algebras

We show a noncommutative Rohlin type theorem for automorphisms of a certain class of purely infinite simple $C^{\ast}$-algebras. This class consists of the purely infinite unital simple $C^{\ast}$-algebras which are in the bootstrap category ${\cal N}$ and have trivial $K_{1}$-groups.

The Rohlin property for automorphisms on simple C*-algebras

We study a general Kishimoto's problem for automorphisms on simple C*-algebras with tracial rank zero. Let $A$ be a unital separable simple C*-algebra with tracial rank zero and let $α$ be an automorphism. Under the assumption that $α$ has certain Rokhlin property, we present a proof that $A\rtimes_α\Z$ has tracial rank zero. We also show that if the induced map $α_{*0}$ on $K_0(A)$ fixes a "dense" subgroup of $K_0(A)$ then the tracial Rokhlin property implies a stronger Rokhlin property. Consequently, the induced crossed product C*-algebras have tracial rank zero.

Certain aperiodic automorphisms of unital simple projectionless C*-algebras

Let $G$ be an inductive limit of finite cyclic groups and let $A$ be a unital simple projectionless C*-algebra with $K_1(A) \cong G$ and with a unique tracial state, as constructed based on dimension drop algebras by Jiang and Su. Z-actions on AH algebras and Z^2-actions on AF algebras

We consider Z-actions (single automorphisms) on a unital simple AH algebra with real rank zero and slow dimension growth and show that the uniform outerness implies the Rohlin property under some technical assumptions. Trace scaling automorphisms of the stabilized Razak-Jacelon algebra

We classify trace scaling automorphisms of $\mathcal{W}\otimes\mathbb{K}$ up to outer conjugacy, where $\mathcal{W}$ is a certain simple separable nuclear stably projectionless C$^*$-algebra having trivial $K$-groups. Also, we show that all automorphisms of $\mathcal{W}$ with the Rohlin property are outer conjugate to each other. Moreover, we show that the central sequence C$^*$-algebra $F(\mathcal{W})$ of $\mathcal{W}$ is infinitee, which answers a question of Kirchberg.

Trace acaling automorphisms of certain stable AF algebras II

Two automorphisms of a simple stable AF algebra with a finite dimensional lattice of lower semicontinuous traces are shown to be outer conjugate if they act in the same way on the K-group and the extremal traces are scaled by numbers which are not equal to 1 and satisfy a certain condition (which always holds if all the scaling factors are less than 1). The proof goes via the Rohlin property. As an application we consider the problem of classifying conjugacy or outer conjugacy classes of certain actions of the circle group on a separable purely infinite C*-algebra.

Discrete amenable group actions on von Neumann algebras and invariant nuclear C*-subalgebras

Let $G$ be a countable discrete amenable group, ${\cal M}$ a McDuff factor von Neumann algebra, and $A$ a separable nuclear weakly dense C$^*$-subalgebra of ${\cal M}$. We revisit Matui-Sato's notion of property (SI) for C*-algebras and C*-dynamics. More specifically, we generalize the known framework to the case of C*-algebras with possibly unbounded traces. Rokhlin dimension and C*-dynamics

We develop the concept of Rokhlin dimension for integer and for finite group actions on C*-algebras. Our notion generalizes the so-called Rokhlin property, which can be thought of as Rokhlin dimension 0.
