The study of spherical harmonics in superspace, introduced in [J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 40 (2007) 7193-7212], is further elaborated. A detailed description of spherical harmonics of degree k is given in terms of bosonic and fermionic pieces, which also determines the irreducible pieces under the action of SO(m) x Sp(2n). In the second part of the paper, this decomposition is used to describe all possible integrations over the supersphere. It is then shown that only one possibility yields the orthogonality of spherical harmonics of different degree. This is the so-called Pizzetti-integral of which it was shown in [J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 40 (2007) 7193-7212] that it leads to the Berezin integral.
Basics of ${\cal N}=2, 4D$ conformal and Einstein supergravities in the harmonic superspace approach are outlined. The crucial merit of this formulation consists in that the relevant off-shell supermultiplets, in particular ${\cal N}=2, 4D$ superconformal Weyl multiplet, are accommodated by the harmonic-analytic unconstrained prepotentials with a clear geometric meaning, like in the analogous formulation of ${\cal N}=2, 4D$ supersymmetric gauge theory. The fundamental gauge group of conformal supergravity is constituted by the analyticity-preserving diffeomorphisms of harmonic superspace. The …
Using the harmonic superspace formalism, we find the metric of a certain 8-dimensional manifold. This manifold is not compact and represents an 8-dimensional generalization of the Taub-NUT manifold. Our conjecture is that the metric that we derived is equivalent to the known metric possessing a discrete $Z_2$ isometry, which may be obtained from the metric describing the dynamics of four BPS monopoles by Hamiltonian reduction.
We compute the Harish-Chandra $c$-function for a generic class of rank-one purely non-compact Riemannian symmetric superspaces $X=G/K$ in terms of Euler $Γ$ functions, proving that it is meromorphic. Compared to the even case, the poles of the $c$-function are shifted into the right half-space. We derive the full asymptotic Harish-Chandra series expansion of the spherical superfunctions on $X$. In the case where the multiplicity of the simple root is an even negative number, they have a closed expression as Jacobi polynomials for an unusual choice of parameters.
