In previous work the framework for a hypercomplex function theory in superspace was established and amply investigated. In this paper a Cauchy integral formula is obtained in this new framework by exploiting techniques from orthogonal Clifford analysis. After introducing Clifford algebra valued surface- and volume-elements first a purely fermionic Cauchy formula is proven. Combining this formula with the already well-known bosonic Cauchy formula yields the general case. Here the integration over the boundary of a supermanifold is an integration over as well the even as the odd boundary (in a formal way). Finally, some additional results such as a Cauchy-Pompeiu formula and a representation formula for monogenic functions are proven.
In a series of recent papers, a harmonic and hypercomplex function theory in superspace has been established and amply developed. In this paper, we address the problem of establishing Cauchy integral formulae in the framework of Hermitian Clifford analysis in superspace. This allows us to obtain a successful extension of the classical Bochner-Martinelli formula to superspace by means of the corresponding projections on the space of spinor-valued superfunctions.
This study is on Cauchy's function $f(z)$ and its integral, $J[f(z)]\equiv (2πi)^{-1}\oint_C f(t)dt/(t-z)$ taken along a closed simple contour $C$, in regard to their comprehensive properties over the entire $z=x+iy$ plane consisted of the open domain ${\cal D}^+$ bounded by $C$ and the open domain ${\cal D}^-$ outside $C$. (i) With $f(z)$ assumed to be $C^n$ ($n$ times continuously differentiable) $\forall z\in {\cal D}^+$ and in a neighborhood of $C$, $f(z)$ and its derivatives $f^{(n)}(z)$ are proved uniformly continuous in the closed domain $\bar{{\cal D}^+}=[\cal D^++C]$. (ii) Under this …
In this paper we extend Luzin inequality for functions deined by the Cauchy-Leray-Fantappié integral on the complement of a convex domain in $\mathbb{C}^n$. The work is supported by Russian Science Foundation Grant 14-41-00010.
The study of the Dirac system and second-order elliptic equations with complex-valued coefficients on the plane leads to bicomplex Vekua equations. To the difference of complex pseudoanalytic (generalized analytic) functions the theory of bicomplex functions has not been developed. Such basic facts as the similarity principle or the Liouville theorem in general are no longer available due to the presence of zero divisors in the algebra of bicomplex numbers. We develop a theory of bicomplex pseudoanalytic formal powers analogous to the developed by Bers and obtain Cauchy's integral formula in t…
Following "Boundary Value Problems" by Gakhov, we present basic details of the Cauchy Type Integral and its Jump Decomposition. We also contextualize its place and importance in Geometric Function Theory, and efforts to define these integrals over Quasicircles. Finally, we briefly touch on Faber series in relation to the Jump Problem following the work of H. Tietz.
We prove $L^p(b\mathcal{D})$-regularity of the Cauchy-Leray integral for bounded domains $\mathcal{D}\subset\mathbb C^n$ whose boundary satisfies the minimal regularity condition of class $C^{1,1}$, together with a naturally occurring notion of convexity.
The aim of this article is to give a generalization of the Cauchy-Pompeiu integral formula for functions valued in parameter-depending elliptic algebras with structure polynomial $X^2 + βX + α$ where $α$ and $β$ are real numbers. As a consequence, a Cauchy integral representation formula is obtained for a generalized class of holomorphic functions.
We prove an analogue of the Cauchy integral theorem for hyperholomorphic functions given in three-dimensional domains with non piece-smooth boundaries and taking values in an arbitrary finite-dimensional commutative associative Banach algebra.
We prove the optimality of the hypotheses guaranteeing the $L^p$-boundedness for the Cauchy-Leray integral in $\mathbb C^n$, $n\geq 2$, obtained in [LS-4]. Two domains, both elementary in nature, show that the geometric requirement of strong $\mathbb C$-linear convexity, together with regularity of order 2, are both necessary.
We extend Krupnik's criterion of self-adjointness of the Cauchy singular integral operator to the case of finitely connected domains. The main aim of the paper is to present a new approach for proof of the criterion.
We present the theory of Cauchy-Fantappié integral operators, with emphasis on the situation when the domain of integration, $D$, has minimal boundary regularity. Among these operators we focus on those that are more closely related to the classical Cauchy integral for a planar domain, whose kernel is a holomorphic function of the parameter $z\in D$. The goal is to prove $L^p$ estimates for these operators and, as a consequence, to obtain $L^p$ estimates for the canonical Cauchy-Szegö and Bergman projection operators (which are not of Cauchy-Fantappié type).
We prove estimates in Hölder spaces for some Cauchy-type integral operators representing holomorphic functions in Cartesian and symmetric products of planar domains. As a consequence, we obtain information on the boundary regularity in Hölder spaces of proper holomorphic maps between symmetric products of planar domains.
This paper is motivated by a claim in the classical textbook of Muskhelishvili concerning the Cauchy singular integral operator $S$ on Hölder functions with parameters. To the contrary of the claim, a counter example was constructed by Tumanov which shows that $S$ with parameters fails to maintain the same Hölder regularity with respect to the parameters. In view of the example, the behavior of the Cauchy singular integral operator with parameters between a type of Log-Hölder spaces is investigated to obtain the sharp norm estimates. At the end of the paper, we discuss its application to the $…
There are considered vector fields and quaternionic $α$-hyperholomorphic functions in a domain of $R^2$ which generalize the notion of solenoidal and irrotational vector fields. There are established sufficient conditions for the corresponding Cauchy-type integral along a closed Jordan rectifiable curve to be continuously extended onto the closure of a domain. The Sokhotski-Plemelj-type formulas are proved as well.
We extend the Cauchy residue theorem to a large class of domains including differential chains that represent, via canonical embedding into a space of currents, divergence free vector fields and non-Lipschitz curves. That is, while the classical Cauchy theorems involve integrals over piecewise smooth parameterized curves, these classical theorems actually hold for far more general notions of "curve." We also extend the definition of winding number to these domains and show that it behaves as expected.
We provide the details of the first proof in~\cite{CJS89}, which proved that Cauchy transform of $L^2$~functions on Lipschitz curves is bounded. We then prove that every $L^2$~function on Lipschitz curves is the sum of non-tangential boundary limit of functions in $H^2(Ω_\pm)$, the Hardy spaces on domains over and under the Lipschitz curve. We also obtain a more accurate boundary of Cauchy transform under the condition that the Lipschitz curve is the real axis.
The aim of this paper is to provide and prove the most general Cauchy integral formula for slice regular functions and for C^1 functions on a real alternative *-algebra. Slice regular functions represent a generalization of the classical concept of holomorphic function of a complex variable in the noncommutative and nonassociative settings. As an application, we obtain two kinds of local series expansion for slice regular functions.
We consider Cauchy type integrals $I(t)={1\over 2πi}\int_γ {g(z)dz\over z-t}$ with $g(z)$ an algebraic function. The main goal is to give constructive (at least, in principle) conditions for $I(t)$ to be an algebraic function, a rational function, and ultimately an identical zero near infinity. This is done by relating the Monodromy group of the algebraic function $g$, the geometry of the integration curve $γ$, and the analytic properties of the Cauchy type integrals. The motivation for the study of these conditions is provided by the fact that certain Cauchy type integrals of algebraic functi…
Classic complex analysis is built on structural function $K=1$ only associated with Cauchy-Riemann equations, subsequently various generalizations of Cauchy-Riemann equations start to break this situation. The goal of this article is to show that only structural function $K=Const$ such that Liouville's theorem is held, otherwise, it's not valid any more on complex domain based on structural holomorphic, the correction should be $w=Φ{{e}^{-K}}$, where $Φ=Const$. Those theories in complex analysis which keep constant are unable to be held as constant in the framework of structural holomorphic. S…
In this paper consisting of two parts, we study the integral of a logarithmic differential form on a compact semi-algebraic set in R^n or C^n. In Part I, we prove the convergence of the integral when the semi-algebraic set satisfies allowability (or admissibility), a condition on the dimension of the intersection of the set and the pole divisor of the differential form.
Working in the p-adic analog of the complex numbers, we'll define a line integral on a small arc of a circle. This allows new versions of the Residue Theorem, the Cauchy-Goursat Theorem on discs with and without holes, Cauchy's Integral Formula and the Z-P Theorem. In contrast to results in complex analysis, these integrals allow the points on a boundary circle, the bulk of a p-adic disc, to be treated the same as points interior to the boundary circle. The theory of the integral is developed, especially for functions holomorphic on an open disc, and integrals will be calculated for rational f…
In this paper we study the boundedness and compactness characterizations of the commutator of Cauchy type integrals $\mathcal C$ on a bounded strongly pseudoconvex domain $D$ in $C^n$ with boundary $bD$ satisfying the minimum regularity condition $C^{2}$ based on the recent result of Lanzani-Stein and Duong-Lacey-Li-Wick-Wu. We point out that in this setting the Cauchy type integral $\mathcal C$ is the sum of the essential part $\mathcal{C}^\sharp$ which is a Calderón-Zygmund operator and a remainder $\mathcal R$ which is no longer a Calderón-Zygmund operator. We show that the commutator $[b, …
If $μ$ is a finite complex measure in the complex plane $\C$ we denote by $C^μ$ its Cauchy integral defined in the sense of principal value. The measure $μ$ is called reflectionless if it is continuous (has no atoms) and $C^μ=0$ at $μ$-almost every point. We show that if $μ$ is reflectionless and its Cauchy maximal function $C^μ_*$ is summable with respect to $|μ|$ then $μ$ is trivial. An example of a reflectionless measure whose maximal function belongs to the "weak" $L^1$ is also constructed, proving that the above result is sharp in its scale. We also give a partial geometric description of…
In this paper we study the commutator of Cauchy type integrals $\EuScript C$ on a bounded strongly pseudoconvex domain $D$ in $\mathbb C^n$ with boundary $bD$ satisfying the minimum regularity condition $C^{2}$ as in the recent result of Lanzani--Stein. We point out that in this setting the Cauchy type integrals $\EuScript C$ is the sum of the essential part $\EuScript C^\sharp$ which is a Calderón--Zygmund operator and a remainder $\EuScript R$ which is no longer a Calderón--Zygmund operator. We show that the commutator $[b, \EuScript C]$ is bounded on $L^p(bD)$ ($1<p<\infty$) if {\color{blac…
We generalize the notion of harmonic conjugate functions and Hilbert transforms to higher dimensional euclidean spaces, in the setting of differential forms and the Hodge-Dirac system. These conjugate functions are in general far from being unique, but under suitable boundary conditions we prove existence and uniqueness of conjugates. The proof also yields invertibility results for a new class of generalized double layer potential operators on Lipschitz surfaces and boundedness of related Hilbert transforms.
Let $a=(a_1,a_2,...c,a_n)$ for $n\in\mathbb{N}$ be a given sequence of positive numbers. In the paper, the authors establish, by using Cauchy's integral formula in the theory of complex functions, an integral representation of the principal branch of the geometric mean {equation*} G_n(a+z)=\Biggl[\prod_{k=1}^n(a_k+z)\Biggr]^{1/n} {equation*} for $z\in\mathbb{C}\setminus(-\infty,-\min\{a_k,1\le k\le n\}]$, and then provide a new proof of the well known GA mean inequality.
We investigate some spectral properties of the weighted quaternionic Cauchy transform when acting on the right quaternionic Hilbert space of Gaussian integrable functions. We study its boundedness, compactness, and memberships to the $k$-Schatten class, and we identify its range. This is done by means of its restriction to the n-th S-polyregular Bargmann space of the second kind, for which we provide an explicit closed expression for its action on the quaternionic Itô--Hermite polynomials constituting an orthogonal basis. We also exhibit an orthogonal basis of eigenfunctions of its n-Bergman p…
In the paper [1] considered a new class of quaternionic mappings, so-called $G$-monogenic mappings. In this paper we prove analogues of classical integral theorems of the holomorphic function theory: the Cauchy integral theorems for surface and curvilinear integrals, and the Cauchy integral formula for $G$-monogenic mappings.
We survey recent work and announce new results concerning two singular integral operators whose kernels are holomorphic functions of the output variable, specifically the Cauchy-Leray integral and the Cauchy-Szeg\H o projection associated to various classes of bounded domains in $\mathbb C^n$ with $n\geq 2$.
In this paper we derive a Cauchy integral formula for holomorphic and hyperholomorphic functions in domains bounded by a Koch snowflake in two and three dimensional setting.
As is the case for the theory of holomorphic functions in the complex plane, the Cauchy Integral Formula has proven to be a corner stone of Clifford analysis, the monogenic function theory in higher dimensional euclidean space. In recent years, several new branches of Clifford analysis have emerged. Similarly as hermitian Clifford analysis in euclidean space R^{2n} of even dimension emerged as a refinement of euclidean Clifford analysis by introducing a complex structure on R^{2n}, quaternionic Clifford analysis arose as a further refinement by introducing a so--called hypercomplex structure Q…
Let ${\rm {\mathbb G}}$ be a domain with closed rectifiable Jordan curve $\ell $ . Let $K({\rm {\mathbb G}})$ be the space of all analytic functions in ${\rm {\mathbb G}} $ representable by a Cauchy - Stieltjes integral. Let ${\rm {\mathfrak M}}(K)$ be the class of all multipliers of the space $K({\rm {\mathbb G}}).$ In this paper we prove that if $f$ is bounded analytic function on ${\rm {\mathbb G}}$ and $${\kern 1pt} {\kern 1pt} {\kern 1pt} \mathop{ess\sup}\limits_{η\in \ell } \int_{\ell} \frac{|f(ζ)-f(η)|}{|ζ-η|} |dζ|{\kern 1pt} {\kern 1pt} {\kern 1pt} {\kern 1pt} {\kern 1pt} {\kern 1pt} {…
In this paper we exploit the umbral calculus framework to reformulate the so-called discrete Cauchy-Kovalevskaya extension in the scope of hypercomplex variables. The key idea is to consider not only formal power series representation for the underlying solution, but also integral representations for the Chebyshev polynomials of first and second kind by means of its Cauchy principal values. It turns out that the resulting integral representation associated to our toy problem is a space-time Fourier type inversion formula. Moreover, with the aid of some Laplace transform identities involving th…
Integral relations with the Cauchy kernel on a semi-axis for the Laguerre polynomials, the confluent hypergeometric function, and the cylindrical functions are derived. A part of these formulas is obtained by exploiting some properties of the Hermite polynomials, including their Hilbert and Fourier transforms and connections to the Laguerre polynomials. The relations discovered give rise to complete systems of new orthogonal functions. Free of singular integrals, exact and approximate solutions to the characteristic and complete singular integral equations in a semi-infinite interval are propo…
Cauchy's method from two centuries ago for computing integrals along the real axis by passing into the complex plane is not rigorous by present-day standards. Yet when properly formulated, his original approach is simpler than modern presentations of the residue calculus.
We obtain several estimates for the $L^p$ operator norms of the Bergman and Cauchy-Szegö projections over the the Siegel upper half-space. As a by-product, we also determine the precise value of the $L^p$ operator norm of a family of integral operators over the Siegel upper half-space.
We consider an arbitrary finite-dimensional commutative associative algebra, $\mathbb{A}_n^m$, with unit over the field of complex number with $m$ idempotents. Let $e_1=1,e_2,e_3$ be elements of $\mathbb{A}_n^m$ which are linearly independent over the field of real numbers. We consider monogenic (i.e. continuous and differentiable in the sense of Gateaux) functions of the variable $xe_1+ye_2+ze_3$, where $x,y,z$ are real. For mentioned monogenic function we prove curvilinear analogues of the Cauchy integral theorem, the Morera theorem and the Cauchy integral formula.
The work is dedicated to the construction of the Cauchy-Szegö kernel for the Cauchy-Szegö projection integral operator from the space of $L^2$-integrable functions defined on the boundary of the quaternionic Siegel upper half space to the space of boundary values of the quaternionic regular functions of the Hardy space over the quaternionic Siegel upper half space.
We explore a function theory connected with the principal series representation of SL(2,R) in contrast to standard complex analysis connected with the discrete series. We construct counterparts for the Cauchy integral formula, the Hardy space, the Cauchy-Riemann equation and the Taylor expansion. Keywords: Complex analysis, Cauchy integral formula, Hardy space, Taylor expansion, Cauchy-Riemann equations, Dirac operator, group representations, SL(2,R), discrete series, principal series, wavelet transform, coherent states.
