In this article we study the Kähler Ricci flow, the corresponding parabolic Monge Ampère equation and complete non-compact Kähler Ricci flat manifolds. In our main result Theorem \ref{mainthm} we prove that if $(M, g)$ is sufficiently close to being Kähler Ricci flat in a suitable sense, then the Kähler Ricci flow \eqref{KRF} has a long time smooth solution $g(t)$ converging smoothly uniformly on compact sets to a complete Kähler Ricci flat metric on $M$. The main step is to obtain a uniform $C^0$-estimates for the corresponding parabolic Monge Ampère equation. Our results on this can be viewed as a parabolic version of the main results in \cite{TY3} on the elliptic Monge Ampère equation.
We establish a stability result for elliptic and parabolic complex Monge-Amp{è}re equations on compact K{ä}hler manifolds, which applies in particular to the K{ä}hler-Ricci flow. Dedicated to Jean-Pierre Demailly on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
We study pluripotential complex Monge-Ampère flows in big cohomology classes on compact K{ä}hler manifolds. We use the Perron method, considering pluripotential subsolutions to the Cauchy problem. We prove that, under natural assumptions on the data, the upper envelope of all subsolutions is continuous in space and semi-concave in time, and provides a unique pluripotential solution with such regularity. We apply this theory to study pluripotential K{ä}hler-Ricci flows on compact K{ä}hler manifolds of general type as well as on stable varieties.
Extending DiNezza-Lu's approach to the setting of big cohomology classes, we prove that solutions of degenerate complex Monge-Amp{è}re equations on compact K{ä}hler manifolds are continuous on a Zariski open set. This allows us to show that singular K{ä}hler-Einstein metrics on log canonical varieties of general type have continuous potentials on the ample locus outside of the non-klt part.
We develop the first steps of a parabolic pluripotential theory in bounded strongly pseudo-convex domains of Cn. We study certain degenerate parabolic complex Monge-Amp{è}re equations, modelled on the K{ä}hler-Ricci flow evolving on complex algebraic varieties with Kawamata log-terminal singularities. Under natural assumptions on the Cauchy-Dirichlet boundary data, we show that the envelope of pluripotential subsolutions is semi-concave in time and continuous in space, and provides the unique pluripotential solution with such regularity.
We develop a parabolic pluripotential theory on compact K{ä}hler manifolds, defining and studying weak solutions to degenerate parabolic complex Monge-Amp{è}re equations. We provide a parabolic analogue of the celebrated Bedford-Taylor theory and apply it to the study of the K{ä}hler-Ricci flow on varieties with log terminal singularities.
We prove the long time existence and uniqueness of solutions to the parabolic Monge-Ampère equation on compact almost Hermitian manifolds. We also show that the normalization of solution converges to a smooth function in $C^{\infty}$ topology as $t\rightarrow\infty$. Up to scaling, the limit function is a solution of the Monge-Ampère equation. This gives a parabolic proof of existence of solutions to the Monge-Ampère equation on almost Hermitian manifolds.
We study generalized complex Monge-Ampère type equations on closed Hermitian manifolds. We derive {\em a priori} estimates and then prove the existence of admissible solutions. Moreover, the gradient estimate is improved.
We study the parabolic flow for generalized complex Monge-Ampère type equations on closed Hermitian manifolds. We derive {\em a priori} $C^\infty$ estimates for normalized solutions, and then prove the $C^\infty$ convergence.
We prove uniform gradient and diameter estimates for a family of geometric complex Monge-Ampere equations. Such estimates can be applied to study geometric regularity of singular solutions of complex Monge-Ampere equations. We also prove a uniform diameter estimate for collapsing families of twisted Kahler-Einstein metrics on Kahler manifolds of nonnegative Kodaira dimensions.
We consider degenerate Monge-Ampère equations on compact Hessian manifolds. We establish compactness properties of the set of normalized quasi-convex functions and show local and global comparison principles for twisted Monge-Ampère operators. We then use the Perron method to solve Monge-Ampère equations whose RHS involves an arbitrary probability measure, generalizing works of Cheng-Yau, Delanoë, Caffarelli-Viaclovsky and Hultgren-Önnheim. The intrinsic approach we develop should be useful in deriving similar results on mildly singular Hessian varieties, in line with the Strominger-Yau-Zaslow…
We prove a local volume noncollapsing estimate for Kähler metrics induced from a family of complex Monge-Ampère equations, assuming a local Ricci curvature lower bound. This local volume estimate can be applied to establish various diameter and gradient estimate.
A new proof for stability estimates for the complex Monge-Ampère and Hessian equations is given, which does not require pluripotential theory. A major advantage is that the resulting stability estimates are then uniform under general degenerations of the background metric in the case of the Monge-Ampère equation, and under degenerations to a big class in the case of Hessian equations.
In this paper, we prove the asymptotic expansion of the solutions to some singular complex Monge-Ampère equation which arise naturally in the study of the conical Kähler-Einstein metric.
We show existence and uniqueness of solutions to the Monge-Ampere equation on compact almost complex manifolds with non-integrable almost complex structure.
In this paper, we consider the Monge-Ampère type equations on compact almost Hermitian manifolds. We derive $C^{\infty}$ a priori estimates under the existence of an admissible $\mathcal{C}$-subsolution. Finally, we obtain an existence result if there exists an admissible supersolution.
We improve our previous gradient estimate for the Monge-Ampère equation on a compact Hermitian manifold and give a estimates for the non-mixed second order derivatives. These estimates are required to apply either the Evans-Krylov estimates for second order derivatives or the third derivatives estimates for equations with a gradient term.
In this paper, we prove a $C^{1,1}$ estimate for solutions of complex Monge-Ampère equations on compact almost Hermitian manifolds. Using this $C^{1,1}$ estimate, we show existence of $C^{1,1}$ solutions to the degenerate Monge-Ampère equations, the corresponding Dirichlet problems and the singular Monge-Ampère equations. We also study the singularities of the pluricomplex Green's function. In addition, the proof of the above $C^{1,1}$ estimate is valid for a kind of complex Monge-Ampère type equations. As a geometric application, we prove the $C^{1,1}$ regularity of geodesics in the space of …
Inspired by constructions in complex geometry we introduce a thermodynamic framework for Monge-Ampère equations on real tori. We show convergence in law of the associated point processes and explain connections to complex Monge-Ampère equations and optimal transport.
We discuss Monge-Ampère equations from the view point of differential geometry. It is known that a Monge-Ampère equation corresponds to a special exterior differential system on a 1-jet space. In this paper, we generalize Monge-Ampère equations and prove that a $(k+1)$st order generalized Monge-Ampère equation corresponds to a special exterior differential system on a $k$-jet space. Then its solution naturally corresponds to an integral manifold of the corresponding exterior differential system. Moreover, we verify that the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation and the Cauchy-Riemann equations are …
We study the regularizing properties of complex Monge-Ampère flows on a Kähler manifold $(X,ω)$ when the initial data are $ω$-psh functions with zero Lelong number at all points. We prove that the general Monge-Ampère flow has a solution which is immediately smooth. We also prove the uniqueness and stability of solution.
In this paper, we consider a version of parabolic complex Monge-Ampere equations, and use a PDE approach similar to Phong et al to establish $L^{\infty}$ and Hölder estimates. We also generalize the $L^{\infty}$ estimates to parabolic Hessian equations.
In this note, we consider complex Monge-Ampere equation posed on a compact Kähler manifold. We show how to get $L^p$($p<\infty$) and $L^{\infty}$ estimate for the gradient of the solution in terms of the continuity of the right hand side.
In this paper, we prove a uniform and sharp estimate for the modulus of continuity of solutions to complex Monge-Ampère equations, using the PDE-based approach developed by the first three authors in their approach to supremum estimates for fully non-linear equations in Kähler geometry. As an application, we derive a uniform diameter bound for Kähler metrics satisfying certain Monge-Ampère equations.
The proof of the comparison principlein [EGZ11] is not complete. We provide here an alternative proof, valid in the ample locus of any big cohomology class, and discuss the resulting modifications.
We study the quaternionic Monge-Ampère equation on HKT manifolds admitting an HKT foliation having corank 4. We show that in this setting the quaternionic Monge-Ampère equation has always a unique solution for every basic datum. This approach includes the study of the equation on SU(3).
We consider the complex Monge-Ampére equation on complete Kähler manifolds with cusp singularity along a divisor when the right hand side $F$ has rather weak regularity. We proved that when the right hand side $F$ is in some \emph{weighted} $W^{1,p_0}$ space for $p_0 > 2n$, the Monge-Ampére equation has a classical $W^{3,p_0}$ solution.
In the present paper, we study some generalized Monge--Ampère equations in terms of special exterior differential systems on a jet space. Moreover, we construct geometric singular solutions of the generalized Monge--Ampère equations by using the method of Cauchy characteristics. Furthermore, we give criteria for geometric singular solutions to be right-left equivalent to the cuspidal edge, swallowtail and butterfly.
In this paper, we prove a mean value formula for bounded subharmonic Hermitian matrix valued function on a complete Riemannian manifold with nonnegative Ricci curvature. As its application, we obtain a Liouville type theorem for the complex Monge-Ampère equation on product manifolds.
This paper concerns the questions of flexibility and rigidity of solutions to the Monge-Ampère equation which arises as a natural geometrical constraint in prestrained nonlinear elasticity. In particular, we focus on anomalous i.e. "flexible" weak solutions that can be constructed through methods of convex integration à la Nash & Kuiper and establish the related h-principle for the Monge-Ampère equation in two dimensions
