We investigate magnetic susceptibility and the leading twist light-cone distribution amplitude for the real photon in the framework of the nonlocal condensate approach at LO accuracy of perturbative expansion.
Nonlocal gluon condensates are vacuum expectations of the product of gluon field strength tensors. Short-distance expansions of two-, three-, and four-gluon condensates are presented up to dimension-8 local operators. We propose a method for calculating the Wilson coefficients based on the presented expansions and the Feynman diagram technique in the background field approach. The method is demonstrated using the glueball current correlators as examples. Methodological aspects of the background field approach are discussed in relation to glueball studies within QCD sum rules. We confirm the re…
We study the dynamics of inhomogeneous scalar and pseudoscalar chiral order parameters within the framework of the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau equations. We utilize a nonlocal chiral quark model to obtain the phase diagram of the model as function of temperature and baryon chemical potential and study the formation of metastable spatial domains of matter where the order parameters acquire a spatial modulation in the course their dynamical evolution. We found that, before reaching the expected equilibrium homogeneous state, both scalar and pseudoscalar chiral condensates go through long-live…
The operator-product expansion(OPE) could be employed to obtain the lowest-order, nonlocal quark scalar condensate component of gluon vacuum polarization. In particular, nonlocal quark scalar condensate can be calculated by solving Dyson-Schwinger Equation(DSE) of QCD. Then, field-theoretic aspects of the gluon vacuum polarization and nonperturbative gluon propagator will be considered in the Landau gauge of the Lorentz gauge fixing. The gluon propagator we obtained is finite in the infrared domain where the single gluon mass $m_g$ can be determined. Our results of the ratio $m_{g}/Λ_{QCD}$ th…
We use a simple, instanton motivated, nonlocal chiral quark model to calculate pion Generalized Distribution Amplitudes (GDAs). The nonlocality appears due to the momentum dependence of the constituent quark mass, which we take in a form of a generalized dipole formula. With this choice all calculations can be performed directly in the Minkowski space and the sensitivity to the shape of the cutoff function can be studied. We demonstrate that the model fulfills soft pion theorems both for chirally even and chirally odd GDAs. The latter one cannot be derived by the methods of current algebra. Wh…
We study the beahviour of the dual quark condensate $Σ_1$ in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model and its nonlocal variant. In quantum chromodynamics $Σ_1$ can be realted to the breaking of the center symmetry and is therefore an (approximate) order parameter of confinement. The deconfinement transition is then signaled by a strong rise of $Σ_1$ as a function of temperature. However, a similar behaviour is also seen in the NJL model, which is known to have no confinement. Indeed, it was shown that in this model the rise of $Σ_1$ is triggered by the chiral phase transition. In order to shed more …
We study the behavior of strongly interacting matter under an external constant magnetic field in the context of nonlocal chiral quark models within the mean field approximation. We find that at zero temperature the behavior of the quark condensates shows the expected magnetic catalysis effect, our predictions being in good quantitative agreement with lattice QCD results. On the other hand, in contrast to what happens in the standard local Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model, when the analysis is extended to the case of finite temperature our results show that nonlocal models naturally lead to the Invers…
We study the behavior of strongly interacting matter under a strong external magnetic field in the context of chiral quark models that include nonlocal interactions. In particular, we analyze the influence of a constant magnetic field on the chiral quark condensates at zero and finite temperature, studying the deconfinement and chiral restoration critical temperatures and discussing the observed "magnetic catalysis" and "inverse magnetic catalysis" effects. In addition, we analyze in this framework the behavior of the $π^0$ mass and decay constant. The predictions of nonlocal chiral quark mode…
We evaluate the octupole in the large-$N_c$ limit in the McLerran-Venugopalan model, and derive a general expression of the 2n-point correlator, which can be applied in analytical studies of the multi-particle production in the scatterings between hard probes and dense targets.
We investigate the pseudoscalar (PS) meson ($π$ and $K$) quasi-distribution amplitude (QDA), which is supposed to be an asymptotic analog to the meson distribution amplitude (DA) $ϕ_{π,K}(x)$ in the limit of the large longitudinal PS-meson momentum, i.e. $p_3\to\infty$, in the nonperturbative region. For this purpose, we employ the nonlocal chiral-quark model (NLChQM) in the light-front formalism with a minimal Fock-state for the mesons $\sim q\bar{q}$ at the low-energy scale parameter of the model $Λ\sim1$ GeV. As a trial, we extract the transverse-momentum distribution amplitude (TMDA) from …
