The analytic result for the $S$-matrix in the saturation regime including the running coupling is obtained. To get this result we solve the Balitsky and Kovchegov-Weigert evolution equations in the saturation regime, which include running coupling corrections. We study also the effect of rare fluctuations on top of the running coupling. We find that the rare fluctuations are less important in the running coupling case as compared to the fixed coupling case.
We present results from analytic solutions to the running coupling, full next-to-leading order, and collinearly improved next-to-leading order Balitsky-Kovchegov equations in the saturation region with the smallest dipole size QCD running coupling prescription. The analytic results of the $S$-matrix of the latter two equations show that the $\exp(-\mathcal{O}(Y^{3/2}))$ rapidity dependence of the solutions are replaced by $\exp(-\mathcal{O}(Y))$ dependence once the running coupling prescription is switched from parent dipole to the smallest dipole prescription, which indicate that the $S$-matr…
The characteristics of the thermal radiation are investigated using a two - component model, with the hard component being described by the Color Glass Condensate formalism. The inclusive transverse momentum spectra of charged hadrons produced in proton - proton and proton - nucleus collisions at LHC energies and large - $p_T$ are estimated using the running coupling $k_T$ - factorization formula and the solution of the Balitsky - Kovchegov equation. Our results indicate that the thermal term is necessary to describe the experimental data and that the effective thermal temperature has an energ…
We calculate the rare fluctuations of the $S$-matrix on top of the full next-to-leading order corrections in the center of mass frame. The relevant result in the saturation regime shows that the exponential factor of the $S$-matrix is $\sqrt{2}$ as large as the result which emerges when the rare fluctuation effects are taken into account. We find that the factor of $\sqrt{2}$ change of the exponential factor is induced by the gluon loop corrections which compensate part of rapidity decrease of the $S$-matrix made by quark loops and lead to the rare fluctuations becoming important again. To ens…

We study the production of $J/ψ$ vector mesons as a function of charged hadron multiplicity in p+p and p+Pb collisions at LHC energies. We employ the color glass condensate framework, using running coupling Balitsky-Kovchegov evolved dipole amplitudes, to compute gluon and $c\bar{c}$-pair production. We use fragmentation functions to obtain charged hadrons, and explore two different hadronization schemes for the $J/ψ$: non-relativistic quantum chromodynamics and the improved color evaporation model. In our framework, event-by-event multiplicity fluctuations of both hadrons and $J/ψ$ are driven…
We analytically solve the Sudakov suppressed Balitsky-Kovchegov evolution equation with the fixed and running coupling constants in the saturation region. The analytic solution of the $S$-matrix shows the $\exp(\mathcal{O}(η^2))$ rapidity dependence of the solution with the fixed coupling constant is replaced by $\exp(\mathcal{O}(η^{3/2}))$ dependence in the smallest dipole running coupling case rather than obeying the law found in our previous publication, in which all the solutions of the next-to-leading order evolution equations comply with $\exp(\mathcal{O}(η))$ rapidity dependence once th…
Meson decays offer a good opportunity to probe new physics. The rare kaon decay $K^+ \rightarrow π^+ ν\barν$ is one of the cleanest of them and, for this reason, is rather sensitive to new physics, in particular, vector mediators. NA62 collaboration, running a fixed-target experiment at CERN, recently reported an unprecedented sensitivity to this decay, namely a branching fraction of $BR(K^+ \rightarrow π^+ ν\barν) = (11^{+4.0}_{-3.5})\times 10^{-11}$ at 68\% C.L. Vector mediators that couple to neutrinos may yield a sizeable contribution to this decay. Motivated by the new measurement, we int…
Intrinsic Fluctuations of the Proton Saturation Momentum Scale in High Multiplicity p+p Collisions
We establish that unitarity of scattering amplitudes imposes universal entropy bounds. The maximal entropy of a self-sustained quantum field object of radius R is equal to its surface area and at the same time to the inverse running coupling evaluated at the scale R. The saturation of these entropy bounds is in one-to-one correspondence with the non-perturbative saturation of unitarity by 2-to-N particle scattering amplitudes at the point of optimal truncation. These bounds are more stringent than Bekenstein's bound and in a consistent theory all three get saturated simultaneously. This is tru…
