The relation between a N = 2 nonlinear supersymmetric (SUSY) model and a linear SUSY (free) theory for $N = 2$ vector supermultiplet accompanying the spontaneous SUSY breaking is systematically worked out in two-dimensional superfield formulation.
We review shortly present status of quantum deformations of Poincaré and conformal supersymmetries. After recalling the $κ$-deformation of $\hbox{D=4}$ Poincaré supersymmetries we describe the corresponding star product multiplication for chiral superfields. In order to describe the deformation of chiral vertices in momentum space the integration formula over $κ$-deformed chiral superspace is proposed.
We show systematically the relation between a N = 2 nonlinear supersymmetric (NLSUSY) model and a N = 2 SUSY QED theory by means of the superfield formulation in two dimensional spacetime without imposing a priori any special gauge conditions for a gauge superfield.
We focus on the superfield formulation for a N = 2 vector supermultiplet in two dimensional spacetime and explicitly show that the Wess-Zumino gauge condition for a N = 2 superfield is compatible with familiar SUSY (plus U(1) gauge) transformations for the vector supermultiplet. N = 2 SUSY invariant mass and Yukawa interaction terms for the vector supermultiplet are also constructed from the superfield explicitly in addition to a free (kinetic) action.
We show explicitly by the heuristic and practical arguments that for $N = 2$ supersymmetry (SUSY) a SUSY invariant relation between component fields of a vector supermultiplet of linear SUSY and Nambu-Goldstone fermions of the Volkov-Akulov model of nonlinear SUSY is written by using only three arbitrary dimensionless parameters, which can be recasted as the vacuum expectation values of auxiliary fields in the vector supermultiplet.
We exploit the power and potential of the (anti-)chiral superfield approach (ACSA) to Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST) formalism to derive the nilpotent (anti-)BRST symmetry transformations for any arbitrary D-dimensional interacting non-Abelian 1-form gauge theory where there is a SU(N) gauge invariant coupling between the gauge field and the Dirac fields. We derive the conserved and nilpotent (anti-)BRST charges and establish their nilpotency and absolute anticommutativity properties within the framework of ACSA to BRST formalism. The clinching proof of the absolute anticommutativity propert…
We study the conditions of restoring supersymmetry (SUSY) after inflation in the supergravity-based cosmological models with a single chiral superfield and a quartic stabilization term in the Kähler potential. Some new, explicit, and viable inflationary models satisfying those conditions are found. The inflaton's scalar superpartner is dynamically stabilized during and after inflation. We also demonstrate a possibility of having small and adjustable SUSY breaking with a tiny cosmological constant.
Within the superfield approach, we discuss the three-dimensional supersymmetric (SUSY) pseudo-QED. We prove that it is all-loop renormalizable. We demonstrate that the SUSY pseudo-QED action can be generated as a quantum correction from the coupling of a spinor gauge superfield to a set of $N$ massless complex scalar superfields. Afterwards, we calculate the two-point function of the scalar superfields in the pseudo-QED which displays a divergence vanishing in a certain gauge.
We present a new formalism for finding the low-energy effective Lagrangian of Goldstinos and other fields. This Lagrangian is written using standard superspace and the superfields are constrained to include only the light degrees of freedom. The Goldstino resides in a (constrained) chiral superfield X which is naturally identified at short distances. This allows us to exactly compute the IR behavior of some correlation functions even in strongly coupled theories with SUSY breaking. The Goldstino couplings above the scale of the matter superpartners are determined by identifying X with the stan…
The SOSO action is an irreducible action for a complex massive superspin one half representation of SUSY, made from spin one half superfields. The theory requires `BRST recycling' to find appropriate nilpotent BRST transformations. A superfield treatment is probably not available, which means that mass terms, possible anomalies, and couplings to other representations, are all to be found using BRST cohomology. In two earlier papers two mass terms and a potential anomaly were examined, without explaining how they arose from the BRST cohomology. This paper is designed to fill that gap in the the…
Referring to the supermultiplet of N=1 supergravity (SUGRA) the linearization of N=1 SGM action describing the nonlinear supersymmetric (NL SUSY) gravitational interaction of superon (Nambu-Goldstone fermion) is attempted. The field contents of on-shell SUGRA supermultiplet are realized as the composites, though they have new SUSY transformations which closes on super-Poincaré algebra. Particular attentions are paid to the local Lorentz invariance.
The ${\cal N}=1$ SUSY nonlinear sigma models in four spacetime dimensions are studied to obtain BPS walls and junctions. A nonlinear sigma model with a single chiral scalar superfield is found which has a moduli space of the topology of $S^1$ and admits BPS walls and junctions connecting arbitrary points in moduli space. New BPS junction solutions connecting $N$ discrete vacua are also found for nonlinear sigma models with several chiral scalar superfields. More detailed exposition of our results can be found in Ref.\cite{NNS}.
We discuss the bi-local collective theory for the $\mathcal{N}=1,2$ supersymmetric Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SUSY SYK) models. We construct a bi-local superspace, and formulate the bi-local collective superfield theory of the one-dimensional SUSY vector model. The bi-local collective theory provides systematic analysis of the SUSY SYK models. We find that this bi-local collective theory naturally leads to supermatrix formulation in the bi-local superspace. This supermatrix formulation drastically simplifies the analysis of the SUSY SYK models. We also study $\mathcal{N}=1$ bi-local superconformal gen…
The BRST cohomology of free chiral SUSY has a wealth of Extraordinary Invariants. When one adds a superpotential to the free theory, the extention of the Extraordinary Invariants leads to some constraints on that superpotential. A particularly simple solution of those constraints is based on a $3 \times 3$ matrix of nine chiral superfields, and then the superpotential is simply the determinant of that matrix. It is remarkable that this same theory is also a plausible basic version of the SUSY Standard Model for one Lepton family, and then the nine superfields are seen to be a left (Weak) SU(2)…
We derive the low-energy effective theory on the BPS domain wall in 4D N=1 global SUSY theories in terms of the 3D superfields. Our derivation makes the preserved SUSY by the wall manifest and the procedure for integrating out the massive modes easier. Our procedure clarifies how the 3D superfields are embedded into the 4D chiral and vector superfields. We also point out a shortcoming of the conventional procedure for deriving the effective theory on the wall.
An infinite sequence of new non-local conserved quantities for N=1 Super KdV (SKdV) equation is obtained. The sequence is constructed, via a Gardner trasformation, from a new conserved quantity of the Super Gardner equation. The SUSY generator defines a nilpotent operation from the space of all conserved quantities into itself. On the ring of $C_\downarrow^\infty$ superfields the local conserved quantities are closed but not exact. However on the ring of $C_{NL,1}^\infty$ superfields, an extension of the $C_\downarrow^\infty$ ring, they become exact and equal to the SUSY transformed of the sub…
We present a systematic analysis of the N=6 superspace constraints in three space-time dimensions. The general coupling between vector and scalar supermultiplets is encoded in an SU(4) tensor $W^i_j$ which is a function of the matter fields and subject to a set of algebraic and super-differential relations. We give a genuine N=6 classification for superconformal models with polynomial interactions and find the known ABJM and ABJ models. We further study the issue of supersymmetry enhancement to N=8 and the role of monopole operators in this scenario. To this end we assume the existence of a co…
We use the $4-ε$ expansion to search for fixed points corresponding to $2+1$ dimensional $\mathcal{N}$=1 Wess-Zumino models of $N_Φ$ scalar superfields interacting through a cubic superpotential. In the $N_Φ=3$ case, we classify all SUSY fixed points that are perturbatively unitary. In the $N_Φ=4$ and $N_Φ=5$ cases, we focus on fixed points where the scalar superfields form a single irreducible representation of the symmetry group (irreducible fixed points). For $N_Φ=4$ we show that the S5 invariant super Potts model is the only irreducible fixed point where the four scalar superfields are ful…
We discuss the linearization of vector-spinor (spin-3/2) nonlinear supersymmetry (vsNLSUSY) transformations for both $N = 1$ and $N$-extended SUSY in flat spacetime based on the commutator algebra by using functionals (composites) of spin-3/2 Nambu-Goldstone (NG) fermions, which are expressed as simple products of powers of the spin-3/2 NG fermions and a fundamental determinant in the vsNLSUSY theory. We define basic component fields by means of those functionals in a linearized vsSUSY theory including spin-3/2 fields, general auxiliary ones and a $D$-term. The general forms of linear (rigid) …
BPS wall solutions are obtained for N=2 supersymmetric nonlinear sigma model with Eguchi-Hanson target manifold in a manifestly supersymmetric manner. The model is constructed by a massive hyper-Kahler quotient method both in the N=1 superfield and in the N=2 superfield (harmonic superspace). We describe the model in simple terms and give relations between various parameterizations which are useful to describe the model and the solution. Some more details can be found in our previous paper [hep-th/0211103]. This article is dedicated to Professor Hiroshi Ezawa on the occasion of his seventieth …
We analyse the algebras generated by free component quantum fields together with the susy generators $Q,\bar Q$. Restricting to hermitian fields we first construct the scalar field algebra from which various scalar superfields can be obtained by exponentiation. Then we study the vector algebra and use it to construct the vector superfield. Surprisingly enough, the result is totally different from the vector multiplet in the literature. It contains two hermitian four-vector components instead of one and a spin-3/2 field similar to the gravitino in supergravity.
Within the superfield formalism, we study the ultraviolet properties of the three-dimensional supersymmetric quantum electrodynamics. The theory is shown to be finite at all loops orders in a particular gauge.
We review gauge invariant $\mathcal N =1$ supersymmetric massive $U(1)$ gauge theory coupled to matter and Stuckelberg superfields. We focus on the leading order self energy and vertex correction to the matter field in the massless limit of both the $U(1)$ vector superfield and the Stuckelberg superfield. We explicitly verify that the theory is infrared divergence free in the massless limit. Hence the Stuckelberg mechanism appears to be the efficient route to handle infrared divergences seen in supersymmetric quantum electrodynamics.Since these additional particles have very small masses they …
We discuss the role of a class of higher dimensional operators in 4D N=1 supersymmetric effective theories. The Lagrangian in such theories is an expansion in momenta below the scale of "new physics" ($Λ$) and contains the effective operators generated by integrating out the "heavy states" above $Λ$ present in the UV complete theory. We go beyond the "traditional" leading order in this momentum expansion (in $\partial/Λ$). Keeping manifest supersymmetry and using superfield {\it constraints} we show that the corresponding higher dimensional (derivative) operators in the sectors of chiral, line…
We study real fifth-order superfield constraint for ${\cal N}=2$ vector (and tensor) multiplet and derive most general solution describing complete supersymmetry breaking, and preserving a real scalar, two goldstini, and an abelian gauge field as low-energy degrees of freedom on which both supersymmetries are realized non-linearly. The surviving scalar is identified as an axion of a broken global abelian symmetry, while its scalar partner (saxion) is eliminated in terms of the goldstini. We provide an example of a UV model giving rise to the quintic constraint, and discuss the connection of th…

Cybersusy is a new mechanism for SUSY breaking. When the auxiliary fields are integrated in any theory like the SSM, certain special new composite superfields arise. Spontaneous breaking of internal symmetry, like SU(2) X U(1) to U(1), gives rise to a new realization of SUSY for these new superfields. This realization mixes elementary and composite states. In the resulting effective action, if the new superfield has mass, then there are SUSY anomalies. Since there are no massless supermultiplets, the SUSY anomalies must be present. They generate a spectrum for SUSY breaking that is consistent …
We discuss composite representations of new supersymmetry (SUSY) algebra under nonlinear (NL) SUSY transformations in curved space-time from the viewpoint of nonlinear supersymmetric general relativity (NLSUSY GR)/ SGM scenario. We show in the linearization of NLSUSY how various basic fields in linear SUSY theories/supergravity are expressed as functionals in terms of a vierbein and Nambu-Goldstone fermion fundamental fields in NLSUSY GR.
For a 4D N=1 supersymmetric model with a low SUSY breaking scale (f) and general Kahler potential K(Phi^i,Phi_j^*) and superpotential W(Phi^i) we study, in an effective theory approach, the relation of the goldstino superfield to the (Ferrara-Zumino) superconformal symmetry breaking chiral superfield X. In the presence of more sources of supersymmetry breaking, we verify the conjecture that the goldstino superfield is the (infrared) limit of X for zero-momentum and Lambda->\infty. (Lambda is the effective cut-off scale). We then study the constraint X^2=0, which in the one-field case is known …
In [arXiv:0808.1677] 3 dimensional field theories are proposed to on-shell represent N=8 SUSY algebra and SO(7) or SO(4)xSO(4) subgroups of full SO(8) automorphism. They are theories of 8 scalar and 8 spinor matrix fields with Yukawa, quartic and sextic self-interactions. This note is devoted to superfield and off-shell formulation of the theory. Scalar superfields are proposed to represent scalar supermultiplets. A renormalizable action with quadratic and quartic self-interactions is proposed to govern their dynamics.
We study in two space-time dimensions (d = 2) the relation between N = 2 supersymmetric (SUSY) QED theory and N = 2 nonlinear (NL) SUSY model by linearizing N = 2 NLSUSY generally based upon the fundamental notions of the basic theory. We find a remarkable mechanism which determines theoretically the magnitude of the bare gauge coupling constant from the general structure of auxiliary fields. We show explicitly in d = 2 that the NL/linear SUSY relation (i.e. a SUSY compositeness condition for all particles) determines the magnitude of the bare electromagnetic coupling constant (i.e. the fine s…
Using a superfield generalization of the tadpole method, we study the one-loop effective potential for a Wess Zumino model modified by a higher-derivative term, inspired by the Lee-Wick model. The one-loop Kählerian potential is also obtained by other methods and compared with the effective potential.
BPS walls and junctions are studied in ${\cal N}=1$ SUSY nonlinear sigma models in four spacetime dimensions. New BPS junction solutions connecting N discrete vacua are found for nonlinear sigma models with several chiral scalar superfields. A nonlinear sigma model with a single chiral scalar superfield is also found which has a moduli space of the topology of $S^1$ and admits BPS walls and junctions connecting arbitrary points in moduli space. SUSY condition in nonlinear sigma models are classified either as stationary points of superpotential or singularities of the Kähler metric in field sp…
We point out that supersymmetric warped geometry can provide a solution to the SUSY flavor problem, while generating hierarchical Yukawa couplings. In supersymmetric theories in a slice of AdS_5 with the Kaluza-Klein scale M_KK much higher than the weak scale, if all visible fields originate from 5D bulk fields and supersymmetry breaking is mediated by the bulk radion superfield and/or some brane chiral superfields, potentially dangerous soft scalar masses and trilinear $A$ parameters at M_KK can be naturally suppressed compared to the gaugino masses by small warp factor. We present simple mod…
We consider the linearization of $N = 1$ nonlinear supersymmetry (NLSUSY) based on a commutator algebra in Volkov-Akulov NLSUSY theory. We show explicitly that $U(1)$ gauge and scalar supermultiplets in addition to a vector supermultiplet with general auxiliary fields in linear SUSY theories are obtained from a same set of bosonic and fermionic functionals (composites) which are expressed as simple products of the powers of a Nambu-Goldstone fermion and a fundamental determinant in the NLSUSY theory.
In the relation between the linear (L) supersymmetry (SUSY) representation and the nonlinear (NL) SUSY representation we discuss the role of the Wess-Zumino gauge. We show in two dimensional spacetime that a spontaneously broken LSUSY theory with mass and Yukawa interaction terms for a minimal off-shell vector supermultiplet is obtained from a general superfield without imposing any special gauge conditions in N = 2 NL/L SUSY relation.
We discuss a linearization procedure of nonlinear supersymmetry (NLSUSY) based on the closure of the commutator algebra for variations of functionals of Nambu-Goldstone fermions and their derivative terms under NLSUSY transformations in Volkov-Akulov NLSUSY theory. In the case of a set of bosonic and fermionic functionals, which leads to (massless) vector linear supermultiplets, we explicitly show that general linear SUSY transformations of basic components defined from those functionals are uniquely determined by examining the commutation relation in the NLSUSY theory.
We investigate split supersymmetry (SUSY) within a supergravity framework, where local SUSY is broken by the F-term of a hidden sector chiral superfield X. With reasonably general assumptions, we show that the fermionic component of X will always have mass within a Tev. Though its coupling to the observable sector superfields is highly suppressed in Tev scale SUSY, we show that it can be enhanced by many orders in split SUSY, leading to its likely participation in accelerator phenomenology. We conclude with a specific example of such a scenario in a string based supergravity model.
We consider a broad class of inflationary models of two unconstrained chiral superfields, the stabilizer $S$ and the inflaton $Φ$, which can describe inflationary models with nearly arbitrary potentials. These models include, in particular, the recently introduced theories of cosmological attractors, which provide an excellent fit to the latest Planck data. We show that by adding to the superpotential of the fields $S$ and $Φ$ a small term depending on a nilpotent chiral superfield $P$ one can break SUSY and introduce a small cosmological constant without affecting main predictions of the orig…
In MSSM models with various boundary conditions for the soft breaking terms (m_{soft}) and for a higgs mass of 126 GeV, there is a (minimal) electroweak fine-tuning Delta\approx 800 to 1000 for the constrained MSSM and Delta\approx 500 for non-universal gaugino masses. These values, often regarded as unacceptably large, may indicate a problem of supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking, rather than of SUSY itself. A minimal modification of these models is to lower the SUSY breaking scale in the hidden sector (\sqrt f) to few TeV, which we show to restore naturalness to more acceptable levels Delta\approx…
Supergravity is a well-motivated theory beyond the standard model of particle physics, and a suitable arena to study high-energy physics at the early universe including inflation, whose observational evidences are growing more and more. Inflation in supergravity, however, cannot be easily described because of restrictions from supersymmetry (SUSY). The scalar potential has an exponential factor and a large negative term whereas a flat and positive potential is needed to realize inflation. The standard method to obtain such an inflationary scalar potential requires an additional superfield to t…
We discuss a deformation of the Hopf algebra of supersymmetry (SUSY) transformations based on a special choice of twist. As usual, algebra itself remains unchanged, but the comultiplication changes. This leads to the deformed Leibniz rule for SUSY transformations. Superfields are elements of the algebra of functions of the usual supercoordinates. Elements of this algebra are multiplied by using a $\star$-product which is noncommutative, hermitian and finite when expanded in power series of the deformation parameter. Chiral fields are no longer a subalgebra of the algebra of superfields. One po…
We provide a systematic and practical method of deriving 5D supergravity action described by 4D superfields on a general warped geometry, including a non-BPS background. Our method is based on the superconformal formulation of 5D supergravity, but is easy to handle thanks to the superfield formalism. We identify the radion superfield in the language of 5D superconformal gravity, and clarify its appearance in the action. We also discuss SUSY breaking effects induced by a deformed geometry due to the backreaction of the radius stabilizer.
Auxiliary field methods in D=2 (or 3), N=2 supersymmetric (SUSY) nonlinear sigma models (NLSMs) are studied. For these models auxiliary fields as Lagrange multipliers belong to a vector or a chiral superfield, which gives a Kahler quotient of complexified gauge group or a holomorphic constraint on it, respectively. Using these, NLSMs on all Hermitian symmetric spaces were formulated previously. In this paper, we formulate new SUSY NLSMs on some rank-two Kahler coset spaces as SUSY gauge theories with two Fayet-Iliopoulos parameters.

We study the unitary representation of supersymmetry (SUSY) algebra based on a spinor-vector generator for both massless and massive cases. A systematic linearization of nonlinear realization for the SUSY algebra is also discussed in the superspace formalism with a spinor-vector Grassmann coordinate.
We investigate for N = 3 supersymmetry (SUSY) in D = 2 the algebraic relation between the Volkov-Akulov (VA) model of nonlinear (NL) SUSY and a (renormalizable) SO(3) vector supermultiplet of linear (L) SUSY. We derive SUSY and SO(3) invariant relations between component fields of the vector supermultiplet and Nambu-Goldstone (NG) fermions of the VA model at leading orders by using three arbitrary dimensionless parameters which can be recasted as the vacuum expectation values of auxiliary fields in the vector supermultiplet. Two different irreducible representations of SO(3) super-Poincaré sym…
We show that couplings of the goldstino field, appearing when global supersymmetry is broken, can always be described in superspace by means of a nilpotent chiral superfield $X$, satisfying $X^2=0$. This applies to both F-term and D-term supersymmetry breaking, even when the supersymmetry breaking model admits a linear description.
We introduce an explicit supersymmetric unification model where grand unified gauge symmetry breaking and supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking are caused by the same field. Besides, the SM-charged particles are also predicted by the symmetry breaking sector, and their loop corrections induce the soft SUSY breaking terms. Especially, nonzero A-term and B-term are generated at one-loop level according to the mediation via the vector superfields, so that the electro-weak symmetry breaking and 125 GeV Higgs mass could be achieved even if the stop mass is around 1 TeV.
We study N=1 supersymmetric U(N) gauge theories coupled to an adjoint chiral field with superpotential. We consider the full supersymmetric moduli space of these theories obtained by adding all allowed chiral operators. These include higher-dimensional operators that introduce a field-dependence for the gauge coupling. We show how Feynman diagram/matrix model/string theoretic techniques can all be used to compute the IR glueball superpotential. Moreover, in the limit of turning off the superpotential, this leads to a deformation of N=2 Seiberg-Witten theory. In the case where the superpotentia…
We focus on a nonlinear supersymmetry (NL SUSY) in curved spacetime introduced in the superon-graviton model (SGM) towards a SUSY composite unified model based on SO(10) super-Poincaré symmetry, and we consider for $N = 1$ SUSY a systematic procedure to linearize the NL SUSY. By introducing modified superspace translations of superspace coordinates and their specific coordinate transformations both depending on a Nambu-Goldstone fermion, we show a homogeneous transformation's law of superfields which is important in the relation between linear (L) and NL SUSY. Furthermore, as a preliminary to …
The supersymmetric standard model (SSM) appears to be firmly grounded in superspace. For example, it would be natural to assume that all the physically important composite operators can be made by combining superfields and superspace derivatives. But even for the simplest possible, free, massless and unbroken SUSY theory in 3+1 dimensions, this is not true. This paper shows that there is a large set of physically important composite operators in the SSM that require explicit factors of the Grassmann odd `$θ$' parameters of superspace. These explicitly break superspace invariance. These composi…
In this work, we adopt the simplest model that spontaneously breaks supersymmetry, namely, the minimal O'Raifeartaigh model. The effective potential is computed in the framework of the linear delta expansion (LDE) approach up to the order $δ^2$, conjugated with superspace and supergraph techniques. The latter can be duly mastered even if supersymmetry is no longer exact and the efficacy of the superfield approach in connection with the LDE procedure is confirmed according to our investigation. That opens up a way for a semi-nonperturbative superspace computation which allows us to deal with sp…
We construct the minimal effective field theory (EFT) of supersymmetric inflation, whose field content is a real scalar, the goldstone for time-translation breaking, and a Weyl fermion, the goldstino for supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking. The inflating background can be viewed as a single SUSY-breaking sector, and the degrees of freedom can be efficiently parameterized using constrained superfields. Our EFT is comprised of a chiral superfield X_NL containing the goldstino and satisfying X_NL^2 = 0, and a real superfield B_NL containing both the goldstino and the goldstone, satisfying X_NL B_NL = B…
A systematic method to obtain the effective Lagrangian on the BPS background in supersymmetric gauge theories is worked out, taking domain walls and vortices as concrete examples. The Lagrangian in terms of the superfields for four preserved SUSY is expanded in powers of the slow-movement parameter lambda. The expansion gives the superfield form of the BPS equations at {O}(lambda^0), and all the fluctuation fields at {O}(lambda^1). The density of the Kaehler potential for the effective Lagrangian follows as an automatic consequence of the lambda expansion with manifest (four preserved) SUSY.
We make a comprehensive study of (rigid) N=1 supersymmetric sigma-models with general Kähler potentials K and superpotentials w on four-dimensional space-times with boundaries. We determine the minimal (non-supersymmetric) boundary terms one must add to the standard bulk action to make it off-shell invariant under half the supersymmetries without imposing any boundary conditions. Susy boundary conditions do arise from the variational principle when studying the dynamics. Upon including an additional boundary action that depends on an arbitrary real boundary potential B one can generate very ge…
Super Feynman rules for any superspin are given for massive $ \mathcal{N}=1 $ supersymmetric theories, including momentum superspace on-shell legs. This is done by extending, from space to superspace, Weinberg's perturbative approach to quantum field theory. Superfields work just as a device that allow one to write super Poincare-covariant superamplitudes for interacting theories, relying neither in path integral nor canonical formulations. Explicit transformation laws for particle states under finite supersymmetric transformations are offered. $ \mathit{C}, \mathit{P}, \mathit{T}, $ and $ \ma…
An exact solution of domain wall junction is obtained in N=2 supersymmetric (SUSY) QED with three massive hypermultiplets. The junction preserves two out of eight SUSY. Both a (magnetic) Fayet-Iliopoulos (FI) term and complex masses for hypermultiplets are needed to obtain the junction solution. There are zero modes corresponding to spontaneously broken translation, SUSY, and U(1). All broken and unbroken SUSY charges are explicitly worked out in the Wess-Zumino gauge in N=1 superfields as well as in components. The relation to models in five dimensions is also clarified.
In this paper, we define the shifted superconformal vector of supersymmetric charged free fermion vertex algebras, which is a 1-parameter deformation of the superconformal vector of the SUSY $bc$-$βγ$ system. Moreover, we find the corresponding shifted $N=2$ superconformal symmetry of SUSY charged free fermion vertex algebras, by using the $N_{K}=1$ SUSY vertex algebra formalism. Finally, in order to describe the shifted $N=2$ superconformal symmetry of the SUSY charged free fermion vertex algebra by $N=2$ superfields, we construct an $N_{K}=2$ SUSY version of the $bc$-$βγ$ system.
In two dimensions, it is well known that the scale invariance can be considered as conformal invariance. However, there is no solid proof of this equivalence in four or higher dimensions. We address this issue in the context of 4d $\mathcal{N}=1$ SUSY theories. The SUSY version of dilatation current for theories without conserved $R$ symmetry is constructed through the FZ-multiplet. We discover that the scale-invariant SUSY theory is also conformal when the real superfield in the dilatation current multiplet is conserved. Otherwise, it is only scale-invariant, despite of the transformation of …
