Quantum deformations of the structure constants for a class of associative noncommutative algebras are studied. It is shown that these deformations are governed by the quantum central systems which has a geometrical meaning of vanishing Riemann curvature tensor for Christoffel symbols identified with the structure constants. A subclass of isoassociative quantum deformations is described by the oriented associativity equation and, in particular, by the WDVV equation. It is demonstrated that a wider class of weakly (non)associative quantum deformations is connected with the integrable soliton equations too. In particular, such deformations for the three-dimensional and infinite-dimensional algebras are described by the Boussinesq equation and KP hierarchy, respectively.
After an introduction to some aspects of bidifferential calculus on associative algebras, we focus on the notion of a "symmetry" of a generalized zero curvature equation and derive Backlund and (forward, backward and binary) Darboux transformations from it. We also recall a matrix version of the binary Darboux transformation and, inspired by the so-called Cauchy matrix approach, present an infinite system of equations solved by it. Finally, we sketch recent work on a deformation of the matrix binary Darboux transformation in bidifferential calculus, leading to a treatment of integrable equatio…

We consider a special class of quantum non-dynamical $R$-matrices in the fundamental representation of ${\rm GL}_N$ with spectral parameter given by trigonometric solutions of the associative Yang-Baxter equation. In the simplest case $N=2$ these are the well-known 6-vertex $R$-matrix and its 7-vertex deformation. The $R$-matrices are used for construction of the classical relativistic integrable tops of the Euler-Arnold type. Namely, we describe the Lax pairs with spectral parameter, the inertia tensors and the Poisson structures. The latter are given by the linear Poisson-Lie brackets for th…
We propose a construction of 1+1 integrable Heisenberg-Landau-Lifshitz type equations in the ${\rm gl}_N$ case. The dynamical variables are matrix elements of $N\times N$ matrix $S$ with the property $S^2={\rm const}\cdot S$. The Lax pair with spectral parameter is constructed by means of a quantum $R$-matrix satisfying the associative Yang-Baxter equation. Equations of motion for ${\rm gl}_N$ Landau-Lifshitz model are derived from the Zakharov-Shabat equations. The model is simplified when ${\rm rank}(S)=1$. In this case the Hamiltonian description is suggested. The described family of models…
The first part of the book is devoted to the symmetry approach to classification of scalar integrable evolution PDEs with two independent variables. In the second part systems of evolution equations with polynomial homogeneous right-hand side are considered. Such systems are associated with associative algebras and, more generally, with non-associative algebraic structures, whose structural constants are defined by the coefficients of the system under consideration. We explore which structures correspond to polynomial integrable models. Integrable systems polynomial in derivatives are describe…
We develop a theory of Lagrangian reduction on loop groups for completely integrable systems after having exchanged the role of the space and time variables in the multi-time interpretation of integrable hierarchies. We then insert the Sobolev norm $H^1$ in the Lagrangian and derive a deformation of the corresponding hierarchies. The integrability of the deformed equations is altered and a notion of weak integrability is introduced. We implement this scheme in the AKNS and SO(3) hierarchies and obtain known and new equations. Among them we found two important equations, the Camassa-Holm equati…
In this pedagogical review we introduce systematic approaches to deforming integrable 2-dimensional sigma models. We use the integrable principal chiral model and the conformal Wess-Zumino-Witten model as our starting points and explore their Yang-Baxter and current-current deformations. There is an intricate web of relations between these models based on underlying algebraic structures and worldsheet dualities, which is highlighted throughout. We finish with a discussion of the generalisation to other symmetric integrable models, including some original results related to Z T cosets and their…
The rolling of a dynamically balanced ball on a horizontal rough table without slipping was described by Chaplygin using Abel quadratures. We discuss integrable discretizations and deformations of this nonholonomic system using the same Abel quadratures. As a by-product one gets new geodesic flow on the unit two-dimensional sphere whose additional integrals of motion are polynomials in the momenta of fourth order.
We consider dynamical systems on the space of functions taking values in a free associative algebra. The system is said to be integrable if it possesses an infinite dimensional Lie algebra of commuting symmetries. In this paper we propose a new approach to the problem of quantisation of dynamical systems, introduce the concept of quantisation ideals and provide meaningful examples.
The generalized Kupershmidt deformation for constructing new discrete integrable systems
KdV 6方程可以被描述为KdV方程的Kupershirt变形(参见2008,Phys. Lett. A 372:263)。
Relations between triple Jordan systems and integrable multi-component models of the modified Korteveg--de Vries type are established. The most general model is related to a pair consisting of a triple Jordan system and a skew-symmetric bilinear operation. If this operation is a Lie bracket, then we arrive at the Lie-Jordan algebras
We review some recent developments in the construction of integrable $η$- and $λ$-deformations of the $AdS_5 \times S^5$ superstring. We highlight their link with Poisson-Lie T-duality.
A method to construct integrable deformations of Hamiltonian systems of ODEs endowed with Lie-Poisson symmetries is proposed by considering Poisson-Lie groups as deformations of Lie-Poisson (co)algebras. Moreover, the underlying Lie-Poisson symmetry of the initial system of ODEs is used to construct integrable coupled systems, whose integrable deformations can be obtained through the construction of the appropriate Poisson-Lie groups that deform the initial symmetry. The approach is applied in order to construct integrable deformations of both uncoupled and coupled versions of certain integrab…
We consider the four-dimensional reduced quasi-classical self-dual Yang--Mills equation and show that non-triviality of the second exotic cohomology group of its symmetry algebra implies existence of a two-component integrable generalization of this equation. The sequence of natural extensions of this symmetry algebra generate an integrable hierarchy of multi-dimensional nonlinear PDEs. We write out the first three elements of this hierarchy.
Non-trivial outer algebra automorphisms may be utilized in $λ$-deformations of (gauged) WZW models thus providing an efficient way to construct new integrable models. We provide two such integrable deformations of the exact coset CFT $SU(2)_k\times U(1)/U(1)_q$ with a vector and axial residual gauge. Besides the integer level $k$ and the deformation parameter $λ$, these models are characterized by the embedding parameter $q$ of the $U(1)$ factor. We show that an axial-vector T-duality persists along the deformations and, therefore, the models are canonically equivalent. We demonstrate integrab…
The non-holonomic deformation of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation, uniquely obtained from both the Lax pair and Kupershmidt's bi-Hamiltonian [Phys. Lett. A 372, 2634 (2008)] approaches, is compared with the quasi-integrable deformation of the same system [Ferreira et. al. JHEP 2012, 103 (2012)]. It is found that these two deformations can locally coincide only when the phase of the corresponding solution is discontinuous in space, following a definite phase-modulus coupling of the non-holonomic inhomogeneity function. These two deformations are further found to be not gauge-equivalent in gen…
