We give a general derivation, for any static spherically symmetric metric, of the relation $T_h=\frac{\cal K}{2π}$ connecting the black hole temperature ($T_h$) with the surface gravity ($\cal K$), following the tunneling interpretation of Hawking radiation. This derivation is valid even beyond the semi classical regime i. e. when quantum effects are not negligible. The formalism is then applied to a spherically symmetric, stationary noncommutative Schwarzschild space time. The effects of back reaction are also included. For such a black hole the Hawking temperature is computed in a closed form. A graphical analysis reveals interesting features regarding the variation of the Hawking temperature (including corrections due to noncommutativity and back reaction) with the small radius of the black hole. The entropy and tunneling rate valid for the leading order in the noncommutative parameter are calculated. We also show that the noncommutative Bekenstein-Hawking area law has the same functional form as the usual one.
We analyze the thermodynamics of the noncommutative high-dimensional Schwarzschild-Tangherlini AdS black hole with the non-Gaussian smeared matter distribution by regarding a noncommutative parameter as an independent thermodynamic variable named as the noncommutative pressure. In the new extended phase space that includes this noncommutative pressure and its conjugate variable, we reveal that the noncommutative pressure and the original thermodynamic pressure related to the negative cosmological constant make the opposite effects in the phase transition of the noncommutative black hole, i.e. …
Black holes have been a subject of investigation over years not only because they have interesting physical properties, but also because they seem to be the appropriate tool for studying gravity in quantum scale. Although a lot of effort has been made to understand the aspects of spacetime on the quantum scale, the approach which includes noncommutativity of spacetime proves to be promising among several possibilities. In this paper, we use the Hamilton-Jacobi method to study the thermodynamic properties of cylindrical black holes (black strings) in noncommutative spacetime. It is also investi…
In this paper, we investigate the tunneling process of charged massive bosons $W^{\pm }$ (spin-1 particles) from noncommutative charged black holes such as charged RN black holes and charged BTZ black holes. By applying the WKB approximation and by using the Hamilton-Jacobi equation we derive the tunneling rate and the corresponding Hawking temperature for those black holes configuration. Furthermore, we show the quantum gravity effects using the GUP on the Hawking temperature for the noncommutative RN black holes. The tunneling rate shows that the radiation deviates from pure thermality and i…
We study the thermodynamics of the large N noncommutative super Yang-Mills theory in the strong 't Hooft coupling limit in the spirit of AdS/CFT correspondence. It has already been noticed that some thermodynamic quantities of near-extremal D3-branes with NS B fields, which are dual gravity configurations of the noncommutative ${\cal N}$=4 super Yang-Mills theory, are the same as those without B fields. In this paper, (1) we examine the $α'^3 R^4$ corrections to the free energy and find that the part of the tree-level contribution remains unchanged, but the one-loop and the non-perturbative D-…
In this paper we study noncommutative black holes. We use a diffeomorphism between the Schwarzschild black hole and the Kantowski-Sachs cosmological model, which is generalized to noncommutative minisuperspace. Through the use of the Feynman-Hibbs procedure we are able to study the thermodynamics of the black hole, in particular, we calculate the Hawking's temperature and entropy for the noncommutative Schwarzschild black hole.
Considering non-Gaussian smeared matter distributions, we investigate thermodynamic behaviors of the noncommutative high-dimensional Schwarzschild-Tangherlini anti-de Sitter black hole, and obtain the condition for the existence of extreme black holes. We indicate that the Gaussian smeared matter distribution, which is a special case of non-Gaussian smeared matter distributions, is not applicable for the 6- and higher-dimensional black holes due to the hoop conjecture. In particular, the phase transition is analyzed in detail. Moreover, we point out that the Maxwell equal area law maintains fo…
We find a new rotating black hole in three-dimensional anti-de Sitter space using an anisotropic perfect fluid inspired by the noncommutative black hole. We deduce the thermodynamical quantities of this black hole and compare them with those of a rotating BTZ solution.
In this letter, we consider dark matter annihilation in the gravitational field of noncommutative black holes. At final stage of evaporation, we hypothesize the existence of a thermal equilibrium state composed of a burning black hole relics fueled by dark matter accretion.
Thermodynamics of the BTZ black hole in noncommutative geometry is studied. We work out the Hawking temperature and entropy which reduce to their commutative limits when the noncommutativity parameter tends to zero. We also discuss the range of validity of the Hawking area law in the noncommutative case and provide graphical analysis. We see that the law is not valid unless the outer horizon is very large.
Black holes in noncommutative geometry background are considered to be quantized in accordance with the holographic principle. Incomplete gamma function involving the effective black hole mass is replaced by a discrete sum. The mass spectrum as well as the temperature of black holes is presented. The spectra are discrete ones but the shapes are very consistent with the known continuous results.
We find a new charged black hole in three-dimensional anti-de Sitter space using an anisotropic perfect fluid inspired by the noncommutative black hole as the source of matter and a gaussian distribution of electric charge. We deduce the thermodynamical quantities of this black hole and compare them with those of a charged BTZ solution.
We construct a deformed adS-Einstein-Born-Infeld black hole from noncommutative gauge theory of gravity and determine the metric coefficients up to second order on the noncommutative parameter. We analyse the modifications on the thermodynamical properties of the black hole due to the noncommutative contributions, and we show that noncommutativity has as a direct consequence, the removal of critical points.
In this paper we consider the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) in the tunneling formalism via Hamilton-Jacobi method to determine the quantum-corrected Hawking temperature and entropy for noncommutative BTZ black hole. In our results we obtain several types of corrections including the expected logarithmic correction to the area entropy associated with the noncommutative BTZ black holes. We also show that the area entropy product of the noncommutative BTZ black holes is dependent on mass and by analyzing the nature of the specific heat capacity we have observed that the noncommutative B…
We analyze noncommutative deformations of a higher dimensional anti-de Sitter-Einstein-Born-Infeld black hole. Two models based on noncommutative inspired distributions of mass and charge are discussed and their thermodynamical properties are calculated. In the (3+1)-dimensional case, the equation of state and the Gibbs energy function of each model are found.
We analyze the fermionic quasinormal modes of the BTZ black hole in the presence of space-time noncommutativity. Our analysis exploits a duality between a spinless and spinning BTZ black hole, the spin being proportional to the noncommutative deformation parameter. Using the AdS/CFT correspondence we show that the horizon temperatures obtained from the dual CFT pick up noncommutative contributions. We demonstrate the equivalence between the quasinormal and non-quasinormal modes for the noncommutative fermionic probes, which provides further evidence of holography in the noncommutative setting.…
We emphasize the importance of the Voros product in defining a noncommutative inspired Reissner-Nordström black hole. The entropy of this black hole is then computed in the tunneling approach and is shown to obey the area law at the next to leading order in the noncommutative parameter $θ$. Modifications to entropy/area law is then obtained by going beyond the semi-classical approximation. The leading correction to the semiclassical entropy/area law is found to be logarithmic and its coefficient involves the noncommutative parameter $θ$.
In this work we study the Joule-Thomson expansion for uncharged black holes in a noncommutative scenario characterized by a parameter $θ$, which is present in the horizon function. We calculate the inversion temperature for some values of $θ$ and the isenthalpics for fixed masses. We find that the uncharged noncommutative black hole behaves as a charged commutative one.
Using a noncommutative inspired Einstein-Euler-Heisenberg black hole, we analyse the associated graviton and light rings that together with the event horizon, provide the necessary components to build its shadow. An analysis of the angular radius of the noncommutative inspired Einstein-Euler-Heisenberg black hole shows that for observers located in its vicinity, it becomes smaller when compared with the commutative case; this effect is more noticeable as noncommutativity increases. The existence of marginally stable bound orbits and the critical angle for the escaping of photons of a noncommut…
In this paper, we analytically investigate the noncommutative effects of a charged black hole on holographic superconductors. The effects of charge of the black hole is investigated in our study. Employing the Sturm-Liouville eigenvalue method, the relation between the critical temperature and charge density is analytically investigated. The condensation operator is then computed. It is observed that condensate gets harder to form for large values of charge of the black hole.
Massive charged and uncharged particles tunneling from commutative Reissner-Nordstrom black hole horizon has been studied with details in literature. Here, by adopting the coherent state picture of spacetime noncommutativity, we study tunneling of massive and charged particles from a noncommutative inspired Reissner-Nordstrom black hole horizon. We show that Hawking radiation in this case is not purely thermal and there are correlations between emitted modes. These correlations may provide a solution to the information loss problem. We also study thermodynamics of noncommutative horizon in thi…
In this contribution we present a noncanonical phase-space noncommutative (NC) extension of a Kantowski Sachs (KS) cosmological model to describe the interior of a Schwarzschild black hole (BH). We evaluate the thermodynamical quantities inside this NC Schwarzschild BH and compare with the well known quantities. We find that for a NCBH the temperature and entropy have the same mass dependence as the Hawking quantities for a Schwarzschild BH.
One key element to calculate thermodynamical properties for a black hole is the partition function. In this paper we have incorporated the idea of a two dimensional area in a noncommutative space and were able to calculate the partition function with such a spectra. Employing the canonical quantum statistics formalism we compute the temperature, entropy and time of evaporation for a Schwarzschild black hole.
We study the stretched membrane of a black hole as consisting of a perfect fluid. We find that the pressure of this fluid is negative and the specific heat is negative too. A surprising result is that if we are to assume the fluid be composed of some quanta, then the dispersion relation of the fundamental quantum is $E=m^2/k$, with $m$ at the scale of the Planck mass. There are two possible interpretation of this dispersion relation, one is the noncommutative spacetime on the stretched membrane, another is that the fundamental quantum is microscopic black holes.
The volume of a black hole under noncommutative spacetime background is found to be infinite, in contradiction with the surface area of a black hole, or its Bekenstein-Hawking (BH) entropy, which is well-known to be finite. Our result rules out the possibility of interpreting the entropy of a black hole by counting the number of modes wrapped inside its surface if the final evaporation stage can be properly treated. It implies the statistical interpretation for the BH entropy can be independent of the volume, provided spacetime is noncommutative. The effect of radiation back reaction is found …
In this paper we consider the scattering of massless planar scalar waves by a noncommutative BTZ black hole. We compute the differential cross section via the partial wave approach, and we mainly show that the scattering of planar waves leads to a modified Aharonov-Bohm effect due to spacetime noncommutativity
We derive noncommutative Einstein equations for abelian twists and their solutions in consistently symmetry reduced sectors, corresponding to twisted FRW cosmology and Schwarzschild black holes. While some of these solutions must be rejected as models for physical spacetimes because they contradict observations, we find also solutions that can be made compatible with low energy phenomenology, while exhibiting strong noncommutativity at very short distances and early times.
We emphasize the importance of the Voros product in defining noncommutative inspired black holes. The computation of entropy for both the noncommutative inspired Schwarzschild and Reissner-Nordström black holes show that the area law holds upto order $\frac{1}{\sqrtθ}e^{-M^2/θ}$. The leading correction to the entropy (computed in the tunneling formalism) is shown to be logarithmic. The Komar energy $E$ for these black holes is then obtained and a deviation from the standard identity $E=2ST_H$ is found at the order $\sqrtθe^{-M^2/θ}$. This deviation leads to a nonvanishing Komar energy at the e…
We apply the tunneling process of charged massive particles through the quantum horizon of a Reissner-Nordstrom black hole in a new noncommutative gravity scenario. In this model, the tunneling amplitude on account of noncommutativity influences in the context of coordinate coherent states is modified. Our calculation points out that the emission rate satisfies the first law of black hole thermodynamics and is consistent with an underlying unitary theory.
We have studied the charged BTZ black holes in noncommutative spaces arising from two independent approaches. First, by using the Seiberg-Witten map followed by a dynamic choice of gauge in the Chern-Simons gauge theory. Second, by inducing the fuzziness in the mass and charge by a Lorentzian distribution function with the width being the same as the minimal length of the associated noncommutativity. In the first approach, we have found the existence of non-static and non-stationary BTZ black holes in noncommutative spaces for the first time in the literature, while the second approach facilit…
We show the importance of the Voros product in defining a noncommutative Schwarzschild black hole. The corrected entropy/area-law is then computed in the tunneling formalism. Two types of corrections are considered; one, due to the effects of noncommutativity and the other, due to the effects of going beyond the semiclassical approximation. The leading correction to the semiclassical entropy/area-law is logarithmic and its coefficient involves the noncommutative parameter.
We investigated the thermodynamic properties of graphene in a noncommutative phase-space in the presence of a constant magnetic field. In particular, we determined the behaviour of the main thermodynamical functions: the Helmholtz free energy, the mean energy, the entropy and the specific heat. The high temperature limit is worked out and the thermodynamic quantities, such as mean energy and specific heat, exhibit the same features as the commutative case. Possible connections with the results already established in the literature are discussed briefly.
In this paper we investigate quasinormal modes (QNM) for a scalar field around a noncommutative Schwarzschild black hole. We verify the effect of noncommutativity on quasinormal frequencies by applying two procedures widely used in the literature. The first is the Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin (WKB) approximation up to sixth order. In the second case we use the continuous fraction method developed by Leaver. Besides, we also show that due to noncommutativity, the shadow radius is reduced when we increase the noncommutative parameter. In addition, we find that the shadow radius is nonzero even at t…
We study the effects of noncommutativity of spacetime geometry on the thermodynamical properties of the de Sitter horizon. We show that noncommutativity results in modifications in temperature, entropy and vacuum energy and that these modifications are of order of the Planck scale, suggesting that the size of the noncommutative parameter should be close to that of the Planck. In an alternative way to deal with noncommutativity, we obtain a quantization rule for the entropy. Since noncommutativity in spacetime geometry modifies the Heisenberg algebra and introduces the general uncertainty princ…
We investigate the behavior of a noncommutative radiating Schwarzschild black hole. It is shown that coordinate noncommutativity cures usual problems encountered in the description of the terminal phase of black hole evaporation. More in detail, we find that: the evaporation end-point is a zero temperature extremal black hole even in the case of electrically neutral, non-rotating, objects; there exists a finite maximum temperature that the black hole can reach before cooling down to absolute zero; there is no curvature singularity at the origin, rather we obtain a regular DeSitter core at shor…
We apply the generalization of the Parikh-Wilczek method to the tunneling of massive particles from noncommutative inspired Schwarzschild black holes. By deriving the equation of radial motion of the tunneling particle directly, we calculate the emission rate which is shown to be dependent on the noncommutative parameter besides the energy and mass of the tunneling particle. After equating the emission rate to the Boltzmann factor, we obtain the modified Hawking temperature which relates to the noncommutativity and recovers the standard Hawking temperature in the commutative limit. We also dis…
We study the formation of the (noncommutative) Schwarzschild black hole from collapsing shell {of the} generalized matters containing polytropic and Chaplygin gas. We show that this collapsing shell depending on various parameters forms either a black hole or a naked singular shell with the help of the pressure.Furthermore, by considering the smeared gravitational sources, we investigate the noncommutative black holes formation. Though this mild noncommutative correction of matters cannot ultimately resolve the emergence of the naked singularity, we show that in some parameter region the colla…
In this paper we consider the generalized uncertainty principle in the tunneling formalism via Hamilton-Jacobi method to determine the quantum-corrected Hawking temperature and entropy for 2+1-dimensional noncommutative acoustic black holes. In our results we obtain an area entropy, a correction logarithmic in leading order, a correction term in subleading order proportional to the radiation temperature associated with the noncommutative acoustic black holes and an extra term that depends on a conserved charge. Thus, as in the gravitational case, there is no need to introduce the ultraviolet c…
It is known that, in the noncommutative Schwarzschild black hole spacetime, the point-like object is replaced by the smeared object, whose mass density is described by a Gaussian distribution of minimal width $\sqrtθ$ with $θ$ the noncommutative parameter. The elimination of the point-like structures makes it quite different from the conventional Schwarzschild black hole. In this paper, we mainly investigate the area spectrum and entropy spectrum for the noncommutative Schwarzschild black hole with $0\leq θ\leq (\frac{M}{1.90412})^{2}$. By the use of the new physical interpretation of the quas…
Using the noncommutative geometry inspired Vaidya metric obtained in terms of coordinate coherent states and also utilizing the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP), we show that the nonthermal nature of the Hawking spectrum leads to Planck-scale nonthermal correlations between emitted modes of evaporation. Our analysis thus exhibits that owing to self-gravitational effects plus noncommutativity and GUP influences, information can emerge in the form of Planck-scale correlated emissions from the black hole.
Using a graphical analysis, we show that for the horizon radius $r_h\gtrsim 4.8\sqrtθ$, the standard semiclassical Bekenstein-Hawking area law for noncommutative Schwarzschild black hole exactly holds for all orders of $θ$. We also give the corrections to the area law to get the exact nature of the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy when $r_h<4.8\sqrtθ$ till the extremal point $r_h=3.0\sqrtθ$.
We study the formulation of statistical mechanics on noncommutative classical phase space, and construct the corresponding canonical ensemble theory. For illustration, some basic and important examples are considered in the framework of noncommutative statistical mechanics: such as the ideal gas, the extreme relativistic gas, and the 3-dimensional harmonic oscillator.
We investigate solitonic black hole solutions in three dimensional noncommutative spacetime. We do this in gravity with negative cosmological constant coupled to a scalar field. Noncommutativity is realized with the Moyal product which is expanded up to first order in the noncommutativity parameter in two spatial directions. With numerical simulation we study the effect of noncommutativity by increasing the value of the noncommutativity parameter starting from commutative solutions. We find that even a regular soliton solution in the commutative case becomes a black hole solution when the nonc…
Based on the perturbation expansion, we compute the noncommutative corrections to the minimal surface areas of the pure AdS spacetime and Schwarzschild-AdS black hole, where the noncommutative background is suitably constructed in terms of the Poincaré coordinate system. In particular, we find a reasonable tetrad with subtlety, which not only matches the metrics of the pure AdS spacetime and Schwarzschild-AdS black hole in the commutative case, but also makes the corrections real rather than complex in the noncommutative case. For the pure AdS spacetime, the nocommutative effect is only a loga…
We investigated regular black holes with fuzzy sources in three and four dimensions. The density distributions of such fuzzy sources are inspired by noncommutative geometry and given by Gaussian or generalized Gaussian functions. We utilized mass functions to give a physical interpretation of the horizon formation condition for the black holes. In particular, we investigated three-dimensional BTZ-like black holes and four-dimensional Schwarzschild-like black holes in detail, and found that the number of horizons is related to the spacetime dimensions, and the existence of a void in the vicinit…
In this paper we investigate statistical entropy of a 3-dimensional rotating acoustic black hole based on generalized uncertainty principle. In our results we obtain an area entropy and a correction term associated with the noncommutative acoustic black hole when $λ$ introduced in the generalized uncertainty principle takes a specific value. However, in this method, it is not needed to introduce the ultraviolet cut-off and divergences are eliminated. Moreover, the small mass approximation is not necessary in the original brick-wall model.
A phase-space noncommutativity in the context of a Kantowski-Sachs cosmological model is considered to study the interior of a Schwarzschild black hole. Due to the divergence of the probability of finding the black hole at the singularity from a canonical noncommutativity, one considers a non-canonical noncommutativity. It is shown that this more involved type of noncommutativity removes the problem of the singularity in a Schwarzschild black hole.
We present a comprehensive analysis of the spacetime structure and thermodynamics of $(1+1)-$dimensional black holes in a noncommutative framework. It is shown that a wider variety of solutions are possible than the commutative case considered previously in the literature. As expected, the introduction of a minimal length $\sqrtθ$ cures singularity pathologies that plague the standard two-dimensional general relativistic case, where the latter solution is recovered at large length scales. Depending on the choice of input parameters (black hole mass $M$, cosmological constant $Λ$, etc...), blac…
Noncommutative black holes in higher dimensions are investigated in the context of holographic principle. Quantization rules for the discrete mass spectrum are derived and compared with the continuous spectrum in the literature. Because of the noncommutative nature of background geometry the minimum mass to form a noncommutative black hole is very large (it becomes larger for discrete spectra), so the current LHC search results for mini black holes cannot exclude the possibility of quantum gravity in higher dimensions.
We calculate leading long-distance noncommutative corrections to the classical Schwarzschild black hole which is sourced by a massive noncommutative scalar field. The energy-momentum tensor is taken up to ${\cal O}(\ell^4)$ in noncommutative parameter, and is treated in semiclassical (tree level) approximation. These noncommutative corrections can dominate classical post-post-Newtonian corrections providing $\ell > 1/M_P$, however, they are still too small to be observable in present-day experiments.
In this paper we study through tunneling formalism, the effect of noncommutativity to Hawking radiation and the entropy of the noncommutative Schwarzschild black hole. In our model we have considered the noncommutativity implemented via the Lorentzian distribution. We obtain non-commutative corrections to the Hawking temperature using the Hamilton-Jacobi method and the Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin (WKB) approximation. In addition, we found corrections of the logarithmic and other types due to noncommutativity and quantum corrections from the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) for the entropy…
We consider charged rotating BTZ black holes in noncommutative space by use of Chern-Simons theory formulation of $2+1$ dimensional gravity. The noncommutativity between the radial and the angular variables is introduced through the Seiberg-Witten map for gauge fields, and the deformed geometry to the first order in the noncommutative parameter is derived. It is found that the deformation also induces nontrivial torsion, and the Einstein-Cartan theory appears to be a suitable framework to investigate the equations of motion. Though the deformation is indeed nontrivial, the deformed and the ori…
We search for all Poisson brackets for the BTZ black hole which are consistent with the geometry of the commutative solution and are of lowest order in the embedding coordinates. For arbitrary values for the angular momentum we obtain two two-parameter families of contact structures. We obtain the symplectic leaves, which characterize the irreducible representations of the noncommutative theory. The requirement that they be invariant under the action of the isometry group restricts to $R\times S^1$ symplectic leaves, where $R$ is associated with the Schwarzschild time. Quantization may then le…
We obtain an exact analytic expression for the quasinormal modes of a noncommutative massless scalar field in the background of a massive spinless BTZ black hole up to the first order in the deformation parameter. We also show that the equations of motion governing these quasinormal modes are identical in form to the equations of motion of a commutative massive scalar field in the background of a fictitious massive spinning BTZ black hole. This results hints at a duality between the commutative and noncommutative systems in the background of a BTZ black hole. Using the obtained results for qua…
Noncommutative geometry is an established potential candidate for including quantum phenomena in gravitation. We outline the formalism of Hopf algebras and its connection to the algebra of infinitesimal diffeomorphisms. Using a Drinfeld twist we deform spacetime symmetries, algebra of vector fields and differential forms leading to a formulation of noncommutative Einstein equations. We study a concrete example of charged BTZ spacetime and deformations steaming from the so called angular twist. The entropy of the noncommutative charged BTZ black hole is obtained using the brick-wall method. We …
