We elaborate an unified geometric approach to classical mechanics, Riemann-Finsler spaces and gravity theories on Lie algebroids provided with nonlinear connection (N-connection) structure. There are investigated the conditions when the fundamental geometric objects like the anchor, metric and linear connection, almost sympletic and related almost complex structures may be canonically defined by a N-connection induced from a regular Lagrangian (or Hamiltonian), in mechanical models, or by generic off-diagonal metric terms and nonholonomic frames, in gravity theories. Such geometric constructions are modelled on nonholonomic manifolds provided with nonintegrable distributions and related chains of exact sequences of submanifolds defining N-connections. We investigate the main properties of the Lagrange, Hamilton, Finsler-Riemann and Einstein-Cartan algebroids and construct and analyze exact solutions describing such objects.
We study stationary configurations mimicking nonholonomic locally anisotropic black rings (for instance, with ellipsoidal polarizations and/or imbedded into solitonic backgrounds) in three/six dimensional pseudo-Finsler/ Riemannian spacetimes. In the asymptotically flat limit, for holonomic configurations, a subclass of such spacetimes contains the set of five dimensional black ring solutions with regular rotating event horizon. For corresponding parameterizations, the metrics and connections define Finsler-Einstein geometries modeled on tangent bundles, or on nonholonomic (pseudo) Riemannian …
In this work we investigate Ricci flows of almost Kaehler structures on Lie algebroids when the fundamental geometric objects are completely determined by (semi) Riemannian metrics, or effective) regular generating Lagrange/ Finsler, functions. There are constructed canonical almost symplectic connections for which the geometric flows can be represented as gradient ones and characterized by nonholonomic deformations of Grigory Perelman's functionals. The first goal of this paper is to define such thermodynamical type values and derive almost Kähler - Ricci geometric evolution equations. The se…
In this paper, nonholonomic gerbes will be naturally derived for manifolds and vector bundle spaces provided with nonintegrable distributions (in brief, nonholonomic spaces). An important example of such gerbes is related to distributions defining nonlinear connection (N-connection) structures. They geometrically unify and develop the concepts of Riemann-Cartan manifolds and Lagrange-Finsler spaces. The obstruction to the existence of a spin structure on nonholonomic spaces is just the second Stiefel-Whitney class, defined by the cocycle associated to a $\mathbb{Z} /2$ gerbe, which is called t…
We model pseudo-Finsler geometries, with pseudo-Euclidean signatures of metrics, for two classes of four dimensional nonholonomic manifolds: a) tangent bundles with two dimensional base manifolds and b) pseudo-Riemannian/ Einstein manifolds. Such spacetimes are enabled with nonholonomic distributions and associated nonlinear connection structures and theirs metrics are solutions of the field equations in general relativity or in generalized gravity theories with nonholonomic variables. We rewrite the Schwarzschild metric in Finsler variables and use it for generating new classes of locally ani…
In this summary of Habilitation Thesis, it is outlined author's 18 years research activity on mathematical physics, geometric methods in particle physics and gravity, modifications and applications (after defending his PhD thesis in 1994). Ten most relevant publications are structured conventionally into three "strategic directions": 1) nonholonomic geometric flows evolutions and exact solutions for Ricci solitons and field equations in (modified) gravity theories; 2) geometric methods in quantization of models with nonlinear dynamics and anisotropic field interactions; 3) (non) commutative ge…
A geometric procedure is elaborated for transforming (pseudo) Riemanian metrics and connections into canonical geometric objects (metric and nonlinear and linear connections) for effective Lagrange, or Finsler, geometries which, in their turn, can be equivalently represented as almost Kahler spaces. This allows us to formulate an approach to quantum gravity following standard methods of deformation quantization. Such constructions are performed not on tangent bundles, as in usual Finsler geometry, but on spacetimes enabled with nonholonomic distributions defining 2+2 splitting with associate n…
We present a generalization of the spinor and twistor geometry for on (pseudo) Riemannian manifolds enabled with nonholonomic distributions or for Finsler-Cartan spaces modelled on tangent Lorentz bundles. Nonholonomic (Finsler) twistors are defined as solutions of generalized twistor equations determined by spin connections and frames adapted to nonlinear connection structures. We show that the constructions for local twistors can be globalized using nonholonomic deformations with "auxiliary" metric compatible connections completely determined by the metric structure and/or the Finsler fundam…
We study possible links between quantum gravity phenomenology encoding Lorentz violations as nonlinear dispersions, the Einstein-Finsler gravity models, EFG, and nonholonomic (non-integrable) deformations to Hořava-Lifshitz, HL, and/or Einstein's general relativity, GR, theories. EFG and its scaling anisotropic versions formulated as Hořava-Finsler models, HF, are constructed as covariant metric compatible theories on (co) tangent bundle to Lorentz manifolds and respective anisotropic deformations. Such theories are integrable in general form and can be quantized following standard methods of …
We study Finsler black holes induced from Einstein gravity as possible effects of quantum spacetime noncommutativity. Such Finsler models are defined by nonholonomic frames not on tangent bundles but on (pseudo) Riemannian manifolds being compatible with standard theories of physics. We focus on noncommutative deformations of Schwarzschild metrics into locally anisotropic stationary ones with spherical/rotoid symmetry. There are derived the conditions when black hole configurations can be extracted from two classes of exact solutions depending on noncommutative parameters. The first class of m…
Imposing non-integrable constraints on Ricci flows of (pseudo) Riemannian metrics we model mutual transforms to, and from, non-Riemannian spaces. Such evolutions of geometries and physical theories can be modelled for nonholonomic manifolds and vector/ tangent bundles enabled with fundamental geometric objects determining Lagrange-Finsler and/or Einstein spaces. Prescribing corresponding classes of generating functions, we construct different types of stochastic, fractional, nonholonomic etc models of evolution for nonlinear dynamical systems, exact solutions of Einstein equations and/or Lagra…
We study the geometric and physical foundations of Finsler gravity theories with metric compatible connections defined on tangent bundles, or (pseudo) Riemannian manifolds). There are analyzed alternatives to Einstein gravity (including theories with broken local Lorentz invariance) and shown how general relativity and modifications can be equivalently re-formulated in Finsler like variables. We focus on prospects in modern cosmology and Finsler acceleration of Universe. All known formalisms are outlined - anholonomic frames with associated nonlinear connection structure, the geometry of the L…
Various types of Lagrange and Finsler geometries and the Einstein gravity theory, and modifications, can be modelled by nonholonomic distributions on tangent bundles/ manifolds when the fundamental geometric objects are adapted to nonlinear connection structures. We can convert such geometries and physical theories into almost Kahler/ Poisson structures on (co)tangent bundles. This allows us to apply the Fedosov quantization formalism to almost symplectic connections induced by Lagrange-Finsler and/or Einstein fundamental geometric objects. There are constructed respective nonholonomic version…
This paper develops the notion of implicit Lagrangian systems on Lie algebroids and a Hamilton--Jacobi theory for this type of system. The Lie algebroid framework provides a natural generalization of classical tangent bundle geometry. We define the notion of an implicit Lagrangian system on a Lie algebroid $E$ using Dirac structures on the Lie algebroid prolongation $\T^EE^*$. This setting includes degenerate Lagrangian systems with nonholonomic constraints on Lie algebroids.
There were elaborated different models of Finsler geometry using the Cartan (metric compatible), or Berwald and Chern (metric non-compatible) connections, the Ricci flag curvature etc. In a series of works, we studied (non)commutative metric compatible Finsler and nonholonomic generalizations of the Ricci flow theory [see S. Vacaru, J. Math. Phys. 49 (2008) 043504; 50 (2009) 073503 and references therein]. The goal of this work is to prove that there are some models of Finsler gravity and geometric evolution theories with generalized Perelman's functionals, and correspondingly derived nonholon…
A consistent theory of quantum gravity (QG) at Planck scale almost sure contains manifestations of Lorentz local symmetry violations (LV) which may be detected at observable scales. This can be effectively described and classified by models with nonlinear dispersions and related Finsler metrics and fundamental geometric objects (nonlinear and linear connections) depending on velocity/ momentum variables. We prove that the trapping brane mechanism provides an accurate description of gravitational and matter field phenomena with LV over a wide range of distance scales and recovering in a systema…
We study Ricci flows of some classes of physically valuable solutions in Einstein and string gravity. The anholonomic frame method is applied for generic off-diagonal metric ansatz when the field/ evolution equations are transformed into exactly integrable systems of partial differential equations. The integral varieties of such solutions, in four and five dimensional gravity, depend on arbitrary generation and integration functions of one, two and/ or three variables. Certain classes of nonholonomic frame constraints allow us to select vacuum and/or Einstein metrics, to generalize such soluti…
The approach to nonholonomic Ricci flows and geometric evolution of regular Lagrange systems [S. Vacaru: J. Math. Phys. \textbf{49} (2008) 043504 \& Rep. Math. Phys. \textbf{63} (2009) 95] is extended to include geometric mechanics and gravity models on Lie algebroids. We prove that such evolution scenarios of geometric mechanics and analogous gravity can be modelled as gradient flows characterized by generalized Perelman functionals if an equivalent geometrization of Lagrange mechanics [J. Kern, Arch. Math. (Basel) \textbf{25} (1974) 438] is considered. The R. Hamilton equations on Lie algebr…
We study modifications of general relativity, GR, with nonlinear dispersion relations which can be geometrized on tangent Lorentz bundles. Such modified gravity theories, MGTs, can be modeled by gravitational Lagrange density functionals $f(\mathbf{R},\mathbf{T},F)$ with generalized/ modified scalar curvature $\mathbf{R}$, trace of matter field tensors $\mathbf{T}$ and modified Finsler like generating function $F$. In particular, there are defined extensions of GR with extra dimensional "velocity/ momentum" coordinates. For four dimensional models, we prove that it is possible to decouple and …
A solution for the Weinstein's Problem in the general framework of generalized Lie algebroids is the target of this paper. We present the mechanical systems called by use, mechanical (?; ?)-systems, Lagrange mechanical (?; ?)-systems or Finsler mechanical (?; ?)-systems and we develop their geometries. We obtain the canonical (?; ?)-semi(spray) associated to a mechanical (?; ?)-system. The Lagrange mechanical (?; ?)-systems are the spaces necessary to develop a Lagrangian formalism. We obtain the (?; ?)-semispray associated to a regular Lagrangian L and external force Fe and we derive the equa…
The goal of this paper is to encode equivalently the fractional Lagrange dynamics as a nonholonomic almost Kahler geometry. We use the fractional Caputo derivative generalized for nontrivial nonlinear connections (N-connections) originally introduced in Finsler geometry, with further developments in Lagrange and Hamilton geometry and, in our approach, with fractional derivatives. For fundamental geometric objects induced canonically by regular Lagrange functions, we construct compatible almost symplectic forms and linear connections completely determined by a "prime" Lagrange (in particular, F…
\emph{Mechanical systems} called by use, \emph{mechanical}$\left(ρ,η\right) $\emph{-systems, Lagrange mechanical}$\left(ρ,η\right) $\emph{-systems} or \emph{Finsler mechanical}$\left(ρ,η\right) $\emph{-systems} are presented. The canonical $\left(ρ,η\right) $\emph{-}semi(spray) associated to a mechanical $\left(ρ,η\right) $-system is obtained. New and important results are obtained in the particular case of Lie algebroids. The Lagrange mechanical $(ρ,η)$% -systems are the spaces necessary to develop a new Lagrangian formalism. We obtain the $(ρ,η)$-semispray associated to a regular Lagrangian …
A close relationship between the classical Hamilton-Jacobi theory and the kinematic reduction of control systems by decoupling vector fields is shown in this paper. The geometric interpretation of this relationship relies on new mathematical techniques for mechanics defined on a skew-symmetric algebroid. This geometric structure allows us to describe in a simplified way the mechanics of nonholonomic systems with both control and external forces.

I have selected thirty two out of some ninety papers, on the following subjects :Geometry of conformal and spin structures on Hilbert manifolds,Geometry of tangent bundle of a Finsler or a Lagrange manifold,Applications of techniques from Finsler geometry to Mechanics and Physics, Geometry of total …
Methods from the geometry of nonholonomic manifolds and Lagrange-Finsler spaces are applied in fractional calculus with Caputo derivatives and for elaborating models of fractional gravity and fractional Lagrange mechanics. The geometric data for such models are encoded into (fractional) bi-Hamiltonian structures and associated solitonic hierarchies. The constructions yield horizontal/vertical pairs of fractional vector sine-Gordon equations and fractional vector mKdV equations when the hierarchies for corresponding curve fractional flows are described in explicit forms by fractional wave maps …
We briefly review our recent results on the geometry of nonholonomic manifolds and Lagrange--Finsler spaces and fractional calculus with Caputo derivatives. Such constructions are used for elaborating analogous models of fractional gravity and fractional Lagrange mechanics.
We study the fractional gravity for spacetimes with non-integer dimensions. Our constructions are based on a geometric formalism with the fractional Caputo derivative and integral calculus adapted to nonolonomic distributions. This allows us to define a fractional spacetime geometry with fundamental geometric/physical objects and a generalized tensor calculus all being similar to respective integer dimension constructions. Such models of fractional gravity mimic the Einstein gravity theory and various Lagrange-Finsler and Hamilton-Cartan generalizations in nonholonomic variables. The approach …
