The supersymmetric solutions of PT-symmetric and Hermitian/non-Hermitian forms of quantum systems are obtained by solving the Schrodinger equation for the Exponential-Cosine Screened Coulomb potential. The Hamiltonian hierarchy inspired variational method is used to obtain the approximate energy eigenvalues and corresponding wave functions.
An alternative approximation scheme has been used in solving the Schrodinger equation to the more general case of exponential screened Coulomb potential, V(r)=-(a/r)\[1+(1+br)e^{-2br}]. The bound state energies of the 1s, $2s, and 3s-states, together with the ground state wave function are obtained analytically upto the second perturbation term.
We obtain the quantized momentum eigenvalues, $P_n$, together with space-like coherent eigenstates for the space-like counterpart of the Schrodinger equation, the Feinberg-Horodecki equation, with a combined Kratzer potential plus screened coulomb potential which is constructed by temporal counterpart of the spatial form of these potentials. The present work is illustrated with two special cases of the general form: the time-dependent modified Kratzer potential and the time-dependent screened Coulomb potential.
The explicit semiclassical treatment of the logarithmic perturbation theory for the bound-state problem of the radial Shrodinger equation with the screened Coulomb potential is developed. Based upon h-expansions and new quantization conditions a novel procedure for deriving perturbation expansions is offered. Avoiding disadvantages of the standard approach, new handy recursion formulae with the same simple form both for ground and excited states have been obtained.
The generalized pseudospectral method is employed to study the bound-state spectra of some of the exponentially screened Coulomb potentials, \emph{viz.}, the exponential cosine screened Coulomb (ECSC) and general exponential screened Coulomb (GESC) potential, with special emphasis on \emph{higher} states and \emph{stronger} interaction. Eigenvalues accurate up to eleven significant figures are obtained through a non-uniform optimal spatial discretization of the radial Schrödinger equation. All the 55 eigenstates of ECSC potential with $n \le 10$ and 36 eigenstates of GESC potential with $n \le…

Based upon $\hbar$-expansions and suitable quantization conditions a new procedure for deriving perturbation expansions is offered. Avoiding disadvantages of the standard approach, new handy recursion formulae with the same simple form both for ground and excited states have been obtained. As…

The problem of a spinless particle subject to a general mixing of vector and scalar screened Coulomb potentials in a two-dimensional world is analyzed and its bounded solutions are found. Some unusual results, including the existence of a bona fide solitary zero-eigenmode solution, are revealed for the Klein-Gordon equation. The cases of pure vector and scalar potentials, already analyzed in previous works, are obtained as particular cases.
In this work, we obtain the Schrödinger equation solutions for the Kratzer potential plus screened Coulomb potential model using the series expansion method. The energy eigenvalues is obtained in non-relativistic regime and the corresponding unnormalized eigenfunction. Three special cases were obtained. We applied the present results to calculate heavy-meson masses of charmonium and bottomonium , and we got the numerical values for 1S, 2S, 1P,2P, 3S, 4S ,1D,2D and 1F states. The results are in good agreement with experimental data and the work of other researchers.
The intrinsically relativistic problem of a fermion subject to a pseudoscalar screened Coulomb plus a uniform background potential in two-dimensional space-time is mapped into a Sturm-Liouville. This mapping gives rise to an effective Morse-like potential and exact bounded solutions are found. It is shown that the uniform background potential determinates the number of bound-state solutions. The behaviour of the eigenenergies as well as of the upper and lower components of the Dirac spinor corresponding to bounded solutions is discussed in detail and some unusual results are revealed. An appar…
The variable-phase approach is applied to scattering and bound states in an attractive Coulomb potential, statically screened by a two-dimensional (2D) electron gas. A 2D formulation of Levinson's theorem is used for bound-state counting and a hitherto undiscovered, simple relationship between the screening length and the number of bound states is found. As the screening length is increased, sets of bound states with differing quantum numbers appear degenerately.
The present theoretical work addresses the study of the formation of a positive Antihydrogen ion in a single charge exchange reaction where a positronium ( ground or excited state) interacts with a ground state anti-hydrogen atom, being embedded in a dense Debye plasma. The calculations are carried out in the frame work of a Coulomb Distorted Eikonal Approximation. The result shows that Ps(3S) is the most interesting state to enhance the anti H^+ production at the energy close to the reaction threshold. Regarding the Debye screening, it may be inferred that in lower energy regime, the screenin…
We obtain an approximate value of the quantized momentum eigenvalues, $P_n$, together with the space-like coherent eigenvectors for the space-like counterpart of the Schrodinger equation, the Feinberg-Horodecki equation, with a screened Kratzer-Hellmann potential which is constructed by the temporal counterpart of the spatial form of this potential. In addition, we got exact eigenvalues of the momentum and the eigenstates by solving Feinberg-Horodecki equation with Kratzer potential. The present work is illustrated with three special cases of the screened Kratzer-Hellman potential: the time-d…
We applied the finite-size scaling method using the B-splines basis set to construct the stability diagram for two-electron atoms with a screened Coulomb potential. The results of this method for two electron atoms are very accurate in comparison with previous calculations based on Gaussian, Hylleraas, and finite-element basis sets. The stability diagram for the screened two-electron atoms shows three distinct regions: a two-electron region, a one-electron region, and a zero-electron region, which correspond to stable, ionized and double ionized atoms. In previous studies, it was difficult to …
From microscopic point-dipole model calculations of the screening of the Coulomb interaction in non-polar systems by polarizable atoms, it is known that screening strongly depends on dimensionality. For example, in one dimensional systems the short range interaction is screened, while the long range interaction is anti-screened. This anti-screening is also observed in some zero dimensional structures, i.e. molecular systems. By means of ab-initio calculations in conjunction with the random-phase approximation (RPA) within the FLAPW method we study screening of the Coulomb interaction in FexOy …
A mapping is obtained relating radial screened Coulomb systems with low screening parameters to radial anharmonic oscillators in N-dimensional space. Using the formalism of supersymmetric quantum mechanics, it is shown that exact solutions of these potentials exist when the parameters satisfy certain constraints.
This is the second article in a series where we succeed in enlarging the class of solvable problems in one and three dimensions. We do that by working in a complete square integrable basis that carries a tridiagonal matrix representation of the wave operator. Consequently, the wave equation becomes equivalent to a three-term recursion relation for the expansion coefficients of the wavefunction in the basis. Finding solutions of the recursion relation is equivalent to solving the original problem. This method gives a larger class of solvable potentials. The usual diagonal representation constra…
The orbits and the dynamical symmetries for the screened Coulomb potentials and isotropic harmonic oscillators have been studied by Wu and Zeng [Z. B. Wu and J. Y. Zeng, Phys. Rev. A 62,032509 (2000)]. We find the similar properties in the responding systems in a spherical space, whose dynamical symmetries are described by Higgs Algebra. There exists a conserved aphelion and perihelion vector, which, together with angular momentum, constitute the generators of the geometrical symmetry group at the aphelia and perihelia points $(\dot{r}=0)$.
We present analytical solutions to a quantum-mechanical three-body problem in three dimensions, which describes a helium-like two-electron atom. Similarly to Hooke's atom, the Coulombic electron-nucleus interaction potentials are replaced by harmonic potentials. The electron-electron interaction potential is taken to be both screened (decaying faster than the inverse of the interparticle separation) and regularized (in the limit of zero separation). We reveal the exactly solvable few-electron ground state, which explicitly includes electron correlation, for certain values of the harmonic conta…
