A few quasi-exactly solvable models are studied within the quantum Hamilton-Jacobi formalism. By assuming a simple singularity structure of the quantum momentum function, we show that the exact quantization condition leads to the condition for quasi-exact solvability.
We study how the classical Hamilton's principal and characteristic functions are generated from the solutions of the quantum Hamilton-Jacobi equation. While in the classically forbidden regions these quantum quantities directly tend to the classical ones, this is not the case in the allowed regions. There, the limit is reached only if the quantum fluctuations are eliminated by means of coarse-graining averages. Analogously, the classical Hamilton-Jacobi scheme bringing to the motion's equations arises from a similar formal quantum procedure.
Necessary and sufficient conditions for quantum Hamiltonians to be exactly solvable within mean-field theories have not been formulated so far. To resolve this problem, first, we define what mean-field theory is, independently of a Hamiltonian realization in a particular set of operators. Second, using a Lie-algebraic framework we formulate a criterion for a Hamiltonian to be mean-field solvable. The criterion is applicable for both distinguishable and indistinguishable particle cases. For the electronic Hamiltonians, our approach reveals the existence of mean-field solvable Hamiltonians of hi…
The supersymmetric WKB (SWKB) condition is supposed to be exact for all known exactly solvable quantum mechanical systems with the shape invariance. Recently, it was claimed that the SWKB condition was not exact for the extended radial oscillator, whose eigenfunctions consisted of the the exceptional orthogonal polynomial, even the system possesses the shapeinvariance. In this paper, we examine the SWKB condition for the two novel classes of exactly solvable systems: one has the multi-indexed Laguerre and Jacobi polynomials as the main parts of the eigenfunctions, and the other has the Krein--A…

For higher derivative theories, using the approach of Caratheodory's equivalent Lagrangian, we show that there exist novel formulations of Hamilton-Jacobi equations, which are different from the formulations derived from Hamilton's canonical approach. The quantum mechanical correspondences of these novel Hamilton-Jacobi equations lead to nonlinear quantum mechanics, which seem being able to avoid the unbounded negative energy problem in the quantum mechanics of higher derivative theories.
