We construct a commuting family of difference-evaluation operators, deforming the commuting family introduced in our earlier paper (math/9807145). We interpret them as the action of the center of quantum algebras in the space of intertwiners for a ``regular'' subalgebra. These algebras are the quantum groups associated with sl_2 and algebraic curves, introduced by V. Rubtsov and the first author (q-alg/9608005). In the case of rational curves, our operators coincide those provided by the Yangian action on the hypergeometric spaces of Tarasov and Varchenko (q-alg/9604011).
In this paper we extend the eliminant construction of Burchnall and Chaundy for commuting differential operators in the Heisenberg algebra to the q-deformed Heisenberg algebra and show that it again provides annihilating curves for commuting elements, provided q satisfies a natural condition. As a side result we obtain estimates on the dimensions of the eigenspaces of elements of this algebra in its faithful module of Laurent series.
We develop a systematic way for constructing bispectral algebras of commuting ordinary differential operators of any rank $N$. It combines and unifies the ideas of Duistermaat-Grünbaum and Wilson. Our construction is completely algorithmic and enables us to obtain all previously known classes or individual examples of bispectral operators. The method also provides new broad families of bispectral algebras which may help to penetrate deeper into the problem.
We construct an isomorphism between the (universal) spherical Hall algebra of a smooth projective curve of genus g and a convolution algebra in the (equivariant) K-theory of the genus g commuting varieties C_{{gl}_r}={(x_i, y_i) \in {gl}_r^{2g}; \sum_{i=1}^g [x_i,y_i]=0}. We can view this isomorphism as a version of the geometric Langlands duality in the formal neighborhood of the trivial local system, for the group GL_r. We extend this to all reductive groups and we compute the image, under our correspondence, of the skyscraper sheaf supported on the trivial local system.
We introduce twists by Cartan elements of conformal blocks on a curve X, corresponding to a Lie algebra g. We show that these twists define holomorphic functions, with theta-like behaviour, on a product of copies of its Jacobian J(X)^r. We then parametrise the conformal blocks by their twisted correlation functions of nilpotent currents, in the spirit of Feigin-Stoyanovsky. We compute the action of the Sugawara tensor in terms of these correlation functions. The result is a family of operators acting on forms on the product J(X)^r \times \prod_{i} S^{n_i}X of the Jacobian of X with its symmetr…
We study *-differential calculi over compact quantum groups in the sense of S.L. Woronowicz. Our principal results are the construction of a Hodge operator commuting with the Laplacian, the derivation of a corresponding Hodge decomposition of the calculus of forms, and, for Woronowicz' first calculus, the calculation of the eigenvalues of the Laplacian
We introduce the notion of discrete Baker-Akhiezer (DBA) modules, which are modules over the ring of difference operators, as a certain discretization of Baker-Akhiezer modules which are modules over the ring of differential operators. We use it to construct commuting difference operators with matrix coefficients in several discrete variables.
We quantize the coordinate ring of the moduli space of B-bundles on the elliptic curve. Here B is a Borel subgroup of some semisimple Lie group. We construct some representations of these algebras and study intertwining operators for these representations. We apply our constructions to produce some objects: the elliptic Belavin R-matrix, the quantization of the algebra of functions on the Grassmannian, some generalized elliptic R-matrix. We consider also the affine case and write down the explicit formula for commuting elements.
One says that a pair (P,Q) of ordinary differential operators specify a quantum curve if [P,Q]=const. If a pair of difference operators (K,L) obey the relation KL=const LK we say that they specify a discrete quantum curve. This terminology is prompted by well known results about commuting differential and difference operators, relating pairs of such operators with pairs of meromorphic functions on algebraic curves obeying some conditions. The goal of this paper is to study the moduli spaces of quantum curves. We will show how to quantize a pair of commuting differential or difference operators…
We discuss a class of generalized divided difference operators which give rise to a representation of Nichols-Woronowicz algebras associated to Weyl groups. For the root system of type $A,$ we also study the condition for the deformations of the Fomin-Kirillov quadratic algebra, which is a quadratic lift of the Nichols-Woronowicz algebra, to admit a representation given by generalized divided difference operators. The relations satisfied by the mutually commuting elements called Dunkl elements in the deformed Fomin-Kirillov algebra are determined. The Dunkl elements correspond to the truncated…
We construct path integral representations for the evolution operator of q-oscillators with root of unity values of q-parameter using Bargmann-Fock representations with commuting and non-commuting variables, the differential calculi being q-deformed in both cases. For $q^2=-1$ we obtain a new form of Grassmann-like path integral.
We introduce and study the Koszul complex for a Hecke $R$-matrix. Its cohomologies, called the Berezinian, are used to define quantum superdeterminant for a Hecke $R$-matrix. Their behaviour with respect to Hecke sum of $R$-matrices is studied. Given a Hecke $R$-matrix in $n$-dimensional vector space, we construct a Hecke $R$-matrix in $2n$-dimensional vector space commuting with a differential. The notion of a quantum differential supergroup is derived. Its algebra of functions is a differential coquasitriangular Hopf algebra, having the usual algebra of differential forms as a quotient. Exam…
A relationship between curved differential algebras and corings is established and explored. In particular it is shown that the category of semi-free curved differential graded algebras is equivalent to the category of corings with surjective counits. Under this equivalence, comodules over a coring correspond to integrable connections or quasi-cohesive curved modules, while contramodules over a coring correspond to a specific class of curved modules introduced and termed Z-divergences in here.
Various Hamiltonian actions of loop groups $\wt G$ and of the algebra $\text{diff}_1$ of first order differential operators in one variable are defined on the cotangent bundle $T^*\wt G$ of a Loop Group. The moment maps generating the $\text{diff}_1$ actions are shown to factorize through those generating the loop group actions, thereby defining commuting diagrams of Poisson maps to the duals of the corresponding centrally extended algebras. The maps are then used to derive a number of infinite commuting families of Hamiltonian flows that are nonabelian generalizations of the dispersive water …
We show that the following two algebras are isomorphic. The first is the algebra $A_P$ of functions on the scheme of monic linear second-order differential operators on $\C$ with prescribed regular singular points at $z_1,..., z_n, \infty$, prescribed exponents $\La^{(1)}, ..., \La^{(n)}, \La^{(\infty)}$ at the singular points, and having the kernel consisting of polynomials only. The second is the Bethe algebra of commuting linear operators, acting on the vector space $\Sing L_{\La^{(1)}} \otimes ... \otimes L_{\La^{(n)}}[\La^{(\infty)}]$ of singular vectors of weight $\La^{(\infty)}$ in the …
We give a new construction of cyclic homology of an associative algebra A that does not involve Connes' differential. Our approach is based on an extended version of the complex ΩA, of noncommutative differential forms on A, and is similar in spirit to the de Rham approach to equivariant cohomology. Indeed, our extended complex maps naturally to the equivariant de Rham complex of any representation scheme Rep A. We define cyclic homology as the cohomology of the total complex (ΩA)[t], d+t \cdot i, arising from two anti-commuting differentials, d and i, on ΩA. The differential d, that replaces …
